Restaurant Bar Brass in Berlin

Overpriced and poor service. I was there in the afternoon. I wanted a bite to eat and a drink. I had pickled vegetables and was offered bread. A bit of bread for 6.00, and the waitress never showed up. You can do without that.

We spent a wonderful evening in a wonderful setting, with excellent food and excellent wine pairing. Top-notch service with very friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy great food, wine, and service.

We first toured the Metal casting Workshops and then went for a nice 5course menue. Recommend.... Was eerily empty though but a nicely decorated modern place with a very good kitchen..

Great food. Service was terrible. I've been there four times in the last five years, and unfortunately, each time I had to wait at least 15 minutes for the menu after being seated. Drinks and water were also served. Starter (oysters) took 45 minutes! Wait time for main courses sometimes longer. And on every visit, a dish wasn't brought because the order hadn't reached the kitchen (?). A professional urgently needs to come in to train the staff and teach them how to be more effective.

I was a little disappointed with my last visit to Bar Brass. The restaurant apparently doesn't handle "heavy traffic" very well. We placed our order at 8:00 PM, and our main course arrived shortly before 10:00 PM. Additionally, several small orders, like water or Coke, were simply forgotten. Or you order a Rothaus Pils but get a Rollberg instead. The food itself is still very good, and the ambiance is very special, thanks to the abundance of art and the adjacent foundry. But with too many guests, the team seems to be struggling...

Unfortunately, it's not worth the money. Deliciously cooked and subtly seasoned. The service is poor and inattentive. You sit around for a long time without being served. The order is ultimately incomplete, and side dishes are simply missing. The server doesn't know what non-alcoholic beer is, so he serves something else instead!?! Unworthy of a fine dining establishment. No local guests, obviously a tourist trap.

We were regular guests at BarBrass. Our last visit was disappointing. The food has clearly lost some of its brilliance, and the service doesn't even bother to ask how it tasted. The new classics menu is so poorly presented that you'd be forgiven for giving more love to a sous-vide steak at home. It was lukewarm, the jus was too hot, and the pommes allumettes were oversalted. The sardines from the daily special were drowned in sauce and therefore very soggy. The courtyard is still beautiful, and the drinks are spot on. We'll only be back for one more drink.

An exceptionally beautiful, stylish restaurant! The food was excellent, the service friendly and attentive. The light-filled rooms make you feel very comfortable.

Friendly service, pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside under beautiful umbrellas. The food is always a surprise in a positive sense. Refined preparation with beautifully composed side dishes, fish and meat always prepared to perfection. Excellent value for money at lunchtime. A recommendation!

In my opinion one of the best restaurant in Berlin. Everything was so good, at the meantime quite simple but always with that small tweak that makes the dish very special and perfectly balanced. The service is great, friendly and not overdoing. We will come back!

Hier wird mit viel Liebe gekocht: Die Gerichte wechseln jede Woche, immer ist alles frisch und mit großer Sorgfalt zubereitet. Es gibt großartige Fischgerichte, aber natürlich auch perfekt zubereitete Fleischspeisen. Die Vorspeisen sind ebenso abwechslungsreich und individuell. Der Service ist dezent und sehr freundlich. Wer französische Küche schätzt, muss die Bar Brass unbedingt kennenlernen.

I had a fully vegetarian 5 course meal. The dishes were innovative and tasted well. The selection of wines was very an impressive. The desert stood out!

We spontaneously had dinner at BarBrass today. We are thrilled! A great meal of very high quality. Almost star level. The service was really great, very attentive and always to the point. The ambience is really great, perhaps the acoustics could be optimized a bit. It got louder as the number of guests increased.

One of my favorite restaurants in Berlin for years. Apart from the ambience, the team there “delivers”. Excellent food, consistently creative and skillfully prepared. Great drinks. Constant variety due to the regularly changing menu. Nice and unobtrusive service. The price is absolutely right for the quality offered. It can stay that way - we'll always be happy to come back to Bar Brass!

Speisen waren in Ordnung, Portionen allerdings recht sparsam bemessen. Der Service war unfassbar lahm: selbst bei wenig Betrieb im Laden am Nachmittag dauerte es mehr als 25 Minuten und brauchte es mehrere Nachfragen bevor man mal ein weiteres Glas Wein bekam, andere gingen ganz leer aus. Auch die ersten Getränkewünsche wurden nach Servieren der Vorspeise entgegengenommen.

I'm actually a big fan of Bar Brass and come here regularly (especially for lunch). We didn't have a good evening last time. The ambience was still great, and I was also impressed by the food. 2 things bothered us: 1) I think the pricing policy is simply a catastrophe. 8€ for 0.1 glass of Rosé Cremant, from an absolutely mainstream brand and with a bottle price of 11.50€? The drink was also much too warm and the neighboring tables even gave it back. 2) The service just wasn't good. The two women tried hard, but were also a bit limited due to a language barrier. Fair enough. The waiter (with glasses) was just bored. No joy, no warmth. There was simply no host that evening, it was loveless. No advice, no nice words to say hello or farewell, no small talk. Food was put down without a word. We just didn't really feel comfortable. It's a shame, the food and the location deserved something better.

Another plus point is the extensive wine list, which leaves nothing to be desired. When it comes to service, we can only report positive things. The staff is not only extremely professional, but also extremely friendly and accommodating. Every wish is fulfilled with a smile, which rounded off the entire evening and made it unforgettable. In short: *Bar Brass* is and remains an absolute recommendation. If you are looking for first-class food, a harmonious ambience and perfect service, you should definitely stop by here. Our evening was simply a success!

The minimalist style doesn't necessarily correspond to my expectations and the food, where I couldn't see any culinary line, doesn't correspond to my taste. The service was friendly and the evening was nice overall.

Very friendly service, great ambience and a fantastic sorbet!

Great food. Menu really cheap. Refined food, great wines. The only negative point is the performance in the service and in the kitchen. The waiting time between 1st and 2nd gear was clearly too long. It's particularly annoying when you sit with empty glasses and no food for half an hour with wine accompaniment. Service was slow when picking up plates and in my opinion there would have been enough staff present for more attentive service. But the ladies were very friendly. It was a bit annoying that the accompanying wines were only served upon request shortly before the courses. The red wine for the main course was only opened after the course was served. The wine was very closed and cool and could have used a bit of air, time and temperature. I liked the selection of wines. Overall, a lovely evening and, with a little less disruption to operations, a very worthwhile visit.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. There were two of us and we ordered a 4th course menu. After the second course we were served dirty forks and the table was also pretty sticky and dirty. Afterwards we literally lost our appetite. Paid everything and never again!

As an outsider, I can say the following: When I visit an expensive restaurant, I expect not only the high quality of the delicacies, but also the service. If this isn't offered to me, the restaurant has failed for me! The chef and manager's justification is cheap and baseless! If you want to avoid guests with high expectations in your restaurant, lower the prices and rename your Lockal to Imbiss!

We were here for the first time today and absolutely loved it! It's a shame that we can't give more stars - the cuisine, the service and the location deserve it. Will we come back?

Paris in Berlin. Great brasserie. Delicious 4 course menu for 70 euros. The terrace is a little oasis. The restaurant is very stylish + modern.

Wir sind Wiederholungstäter, weil wir diese Terrasse lieben. Und die Küche wirklich tolles Essen zaubert. Jedoch hat uns diesmal der Service - sehr nett und freundlich - so unprofessionell bedient, wie bei dem Anspruch und Preisniveau nicht geht. Wasserbestellung musste erinnert werden, Gläser für Wasser fehlten auch nach Wasserlieferung, Weinflasche zum Hauptgang wurde nach diesem geöffnet, das leider übliche Aufräumen, obwohl noch Gäste anwesend waren und weitere Kleinigkeiten. Wir alle wissen, dass es schwierig ist mit dem Personal zur Zeit. Und die Bar Brass war schon immer leger im Service. Jedoch sollte ein Mindestmaß an Qualität erbracht werden. Vielleicht hilft es, wenn nicht alle Kellner alle Tische bedienen, sondern sich einzelne auf wenige Tische konzentrieren dürfen.

The 'Restaurant Bar Brass' presents itself to the guest as a classic brasserie, with a very nice ambience and an imaginative and high-quality menu. The wonderful kitchen is completely visible and is therefore another highlight in addition to the very friendly and always attentive service staff. This brasserie is therefore a clear recommendation.

After once experiencing a dinner at the restaurant, as my first choice, I decided to go there for dinner for our 30th wedding anniversary. Once again, I can definitely say that it exceeded my expectations. Each and every course was a kind of wonderful taste that cannot be described but must be experienced. Perfect service quality, perfect atmosphere. What else to say….

Eine der einzigartigen Brasserien in Berlin. Punkt . Man muß diesen Stil verstehen ! Am riesigen offenen Molteniblock entstehen ganz hervorragende Gerichte mit einzigartigen Geschmacksbildern. Man polarisiert ohne den Gast zu überfordern. Man muss sich darauf einlassen.Die Weinkarte ist ein weiters Highlight. Viele hippe Sommeliers der Hauptstadt können sich hier die angestaubte Nase plattdrücken.Kompakt und trotzdem sensationell sortiert findet jeder hier ein wahres Schätzchen zu fairen Preisen. Die Terrasse mit den pittoresken Holzschirmen ist ein weiters Highlight.Immer wieder gern 👍👍👍

A sublime dining experience! The food was seasonal, fresh, beautifully plated and delicious. Thoughtfully prepared with attention to details. The service was warm and wonderful. It is a lovely and elegant space. The cost was moderate considering the quality of the food. The meal was perfection! Love, love, love!

Genuine kitchen that tries as much as possible to use local and seasonal produce in carefully prepared, fresh tasting and innovative dishes without drifting off into exaggerated twists and turns. Their menu changes regularly as a result of this approach. Its location is symbolic: close to the centre, but a little off. During the warm months, it's a delight to sit outside. During the colder months, the seating is space generously to avoid overhearing neighbouring conversations and having to speak loudly, the interior of the double height space is unpretentious, the sculptures merge well with the exterior and interior decor. There are more pretentious restaurants in Berlin and elsewhere; here things feel appropriate. The service is casually attentive. The price level is relatively high for Berlin, but fair for the effort that goes into the preparation of the dishes. This restaurant is recommended for people who don't need to show off, who want to have a good conversation with friends and who appreciate excellent food in a metropolitan setting.

We met up with friends at Bar Brass. The service was friendly but inexperienced. No problem. The menu was rather unspectacular but tasty. We may come again.

Wir kamen spät und als Gruppe. Fragten höflich nach einem Tisch. Bekamen einen zugewiesen. Das Restaurant war ziemlich leer. Sofort kam Kellner Nr. 2 um uns zu sagen, wir könnten uns dort nicht einfach hinsetzen. Die Speisekarte begann mit einem super klingenden Valentinsmenue. Leider war nicht Valentin. Der Rest war überschaubar. Es gab auch ein vegetarischesbEssen. 4 Scheiben Steckrüben zu 26 Euro. Die bestellten Nudeln waren dann leider doch aus. Man bot Kartoffelgratin an. Ein Minipfännchen für 8 Euro, sehr ölig.Unaufmerksamer Service, Bier wurde verwechselt. Portionen irre klein, dafür alles superteuer. Ich rate ab.

If you want to spend 110 euros and then go home really hungry, then go. If you want to eat something, it's best NOT to go. The portions are EXTREMELY, really EXTREMELY SMALL and eating is extremely easy!

Rarely have we experienced such a successful combination of excellent food and extremely friendly staff. We felt completely pampered. Hopefully this restaurant will stay around for a long time!

Our occasion was a big birthday for a former high-ranking chef. Reservation worked well online. 6 p.m. We were warmly welcomed with two dogs. Were the first ones that evening. The fireplace was lit. Music was off, then on, then off again. We got an even larger table in front of the fireplace. Instead of wine, we only had water and Botucal that evening. Our dogs were also offered something after an hour. Friendly staff can be found, attentive when refilling water. The greeting of the kitchen very good, spicy. Starter rock oysters, absolutely great. I'll come back for that. Starter fois gras, was ok. Unfortunately the gnocchi were not fresh as was the truffle. Our guest didn't like that. The suckling pig was okay. The edge was not very crispy. The cauliflower was very tasty. The steak tartare, which is supposed to be hand-cut and requires a lot of work, was very ingenious. We ended up with good brownies.

The tour of the factory is recommended, very interesting. The food was good, portions were manageable. The service was nice, but overwhelmed and we were often left stranded, and some of the drinks we had ordered were forgotten. A pity.

War mit einem Bekannten zum Mittagessen dort. Hatte Austern und Kalbsteak. Die Austern waren wunderbar frisch und haben prima geschmeckt. Der Hauptgang war mit viel Liebe angerichtet und hat ganz exzellent geschmeckt. Es war sicher nicht das letzte Mal, dass ich dort war!

Ich hatte einen Freund in Berlin zu Besuch und ich musste irgendwie seiner neuen Frau imponieren und als die in das Amuse Gueule bei Bar Brass gebissen hatte , hab ich ihr in die Augen geguckt und nur gedacht 'STRIKE' also den Abend hatte ich sowas von gewonnen und am Ende stand es bei Berlin gegen Schwaben kulinarisch 5:0 Also alle Gänge waren offensichtlich toll .besser ging's nicht - ganz lieben Dank für einen gelungenen Abend :-)

A lovely place for dinner with an excellent saisonal choice of dishes. We loved everything we had, and felt sad that after three courses there wasn’t more space in our stomachs. The personnel is very welcoming and attentive, and fulfilled some extra wishes. I can recommend the goat cheese salad with kumquats, the venison, and the quince sorbet from my last visit. Be sure not to eat too much before your visit, to safe your appetite. 😉

Brillant international-french-asian food by Gault Milaut and Michelin Star, Chef Reza. In an extremely airy design interiors with different rooms: from a glass extension into the garden and backyard to a smaller Brasserie in the back near the entrance, garden and Noack Studio and Factory. Lunch is a specially reasonably priced delight.

Essen von unterschiedlicher Qualität, der Service ist überfordert, schönes Ambiente.

Wir haben zu viert im Restaurant zu Mittag gegessen. Vorab hatten wir reserviert, was online perfekt funktionierte. Das Essen war wirklich ausgezeichnet. Die Karte ist zwar nicht riesig, aber vom Fleischesser bis zum Veganer wird jeder etwas finden. Auch die Getränkekarte zeichnet sich durch Vielfalt aus. Die Bedienung war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam ohne einen dabei zu überborden. Das Ambiente ist modern, aber nicht kühl. Man sitzt zwischen Kunst, was dem Ambiente noch eine Aufwertung gibt. Der Raum ist großzügig gestaltet. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt und kommen daher gern wieder.

The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. The food was delicious. All of that was good. I will say I’m not a fan of the actual space. It’s giving office cantina or storage room. The chairs were covered in stains and the interior was generally just bad. Acoustics was also not good. Not a good spot for a nice and cozy date vibe.

Saves Charlottenburg‘s gastronomy.

Was excited to visit that place that is beautiful garden. First the posetive : the waiters were friendly and very helpful. The fuagra was very salty , so is the steak .the fish of my partner was good and looked beautiful. The wine was half a serve and cost twice as other places. We waited for the food longer than 40 minutes and there were only 4 other tables. The total bill was way too high and really not worth the quality , there are much more fun, tasty places in Charlotenburg for this price.

Leider war es ein ziemlich enttäuschender Abend. Wir haben die anderen Bewertungen im Voraus gelesen und erwartet, ein ordentliches Abendessen zu bekommen. Der Basilikum-Smash-Cocktail war gut Die Fois gras Portion war sehr klein und war so salzig und fehlte andere Aromen, während die rote Johannisbeere war so sauer, dass es eine schreckliche Kombination war. Wir haben bemerkt, dass auch der Tisch neben uns das gleiche Gericht auf dem Tisch stehen ließ und es nicht aß. Wir haben unseren Kellner darauf angesprochen, aber er hat nichts dazu gesagt... Wir haben mehr als 50 Minuten auf unsere Hauptgerichte gewartet! Und als es dann endlich kam, war es leider auch enttäuschend ... zu salzig, wieder einmal eine zu kleine Portion und absolut überteuert für das, was wir bekamen! Der Kellner hat nicht gefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist und uns nicht einmal das Dessertmenü angeboten. Trotz der Bewertungen, die wir gelesen haben, bevor wir ankamen, war es für uns ein sehr enttäuschender Abend 😕

Der schönste Ort weit und breit zum Essen und Verweilen. Fine Dining, hervorragende Weine, ein exzellentes Team von der Küche über den Service bis hin zur Bar sowie das gesamte Ambiente machen Lust darauf, immer wieder zu kommen. Die immer schönen Blumensträuße und die erstklassige La Marzocco Espressomaschine sollten nicht unerwähnt bleiben. Die Preise sind abends gehoben, jedoch völlig angemessen. Wer ein Schnäppchen machen will, geht mittags hin.

Exzellentes Essen, phantastische Weine und ausgesprochen freundlicher und kompetenter Service. Neben der hohen Qualität der Gerichte und Vielfältigkeit der Weine beeindruckt mich die Freude, mit der die Menschen im Service sich auf ihre Gäste einstellen.

Sehr steirisch, nette Servicepersonal und das Essen hast sehr gut geschmeckt:)

Bar Brass offers the perfect formula for those of us who like to visit different watering holes to get to know a city. Here everyone is welcome, whether it is simply to while away the time with a friend on the terrace or in the Bistro Bar enjoying an exotic tea or coffee accompanied with a delicious cake or small snack. As gin aficionados, we were spoilt for choice and were able to sit at the comfortable bar marvelling at the bar tender's skill at preparing our favourite tipple..or two! Sadly our schedule was too tight for us have dinner in the imposing restaurant about which we had heard so much. Definitely during our next visit to Berlin. Overall a wonderful experience made special by extremely friendly & experienced staff. Well done...you deserve to be successful!

Huge place, bad acoustics as a result. Too few servers.

ein Licht durchfluteter Raum, äußerst geschmackvolles Interieur, kompetentes und entspanntes sympathisches Team, und die Speisen, die aus der Küche kommen, sind eine wahre Gaumenfreude! Und auch das Auge freut sich mit. Wein in großer, auch außergewöhnlicher Auswahl. Es ist immer ein besonderer Abend in der Bar Brass!

Mit erweiterter Familie einen wunderschönen Abend im herrlichen Garten verbracht. Bei einem Essen, das alle Sinne anspricht und einer herrlichen Weinbegleitung, die den Abend noch länger werden ließ als geplant. Entzückender und kundiger Service und Desserts in außergewöhnlicher Qualität. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob Gott noch in Frankreich logiert oder inzwischen auf der Gartenterrasse der Bar Brass.

Ein Anwärter auf einen Stern, so meine ich. Ich komme gern wieder.

Ein Geheimtipp! Ein gelungener Abend in einem wunderschönen Garten. Die Empfehlungen des Sommeliers waren sehr stimmig und vor allem spannend und außergewöhnlich. Das Vier-Gangmenü durften wir um einen fünften Gang erweitern. Unbedingt die gratinierten Austern bestellen! Geheimtipp, aber wahrscheinlich nicht mehr lang.

Excellente Küche! Für diese Gerichte werden an anderen Orten die doppelten Preise aufgerufen! Alessandro ist kompetent, entgegenkommend und sympathisch!

I have been visiting this restaurant for a while now, and I can say that in all seasons it has had an amazing quality to it, ranging from cosy winter evenings by the fireplace to spending some refreshing sunny lunch-time with friends in the beautiful garden. Each time, we were welcomed by the friendly staff, and were lucky enough to enjoy a delicious meal for a good price. They have an amazing wine menu on offer, and it is the place to be for wine enthusiasts. Not only that, but Bar Brass offers a perfect setting for art lovers too, as it is located directly at the Hermann Noack foundry, showcasing various sculptures and paintings. Bar Brass has never seemed to disappoint me, and I would recommend it to anybody asking for a hidden gem in Berlin!

Dieses Restaurant ist eines der Besten in Berlin. Der lichte hohe Raum neben einer Kunst-Gießerei ist voller Skulpturen. Das Essen, egal ob die knackig dünnen Pommes Frites, die Austern, das Steak oder der Fisch, ist immer überraschend gut und vor allem leicht. Der Garten ist im Sommer eine herrlich schattige Oase. Nicht billig, aber jeden Cent wert!

Kunst und Kulinarik, ein herrlicher Garten, die besten, dünnen, krossen Pommes frites, super Fisch, alles frisch und genial zubereitet. Es gibt für mich in Berlin kein schöneres und besseres Lokal. Ich liebedienere hohen Räume, die Skulpturen und die phantastische Küche

Enttäuschend! Geschmacklich sehr lecker, aber alles andere unpassend! Auf die Frage nach noch mehr Brot, bekamen wir die Antwort: „hatten Sie nicht vorhin schon Brot.“ Wir antworteten: „Ja, aber das haben wir schon gegessen“. Bei einer Rechnung von über 158€ für 2 Personen, fanden wir noch 4,50€ für extra Brot. Vielleicht stand es im kleingedruckten…

Tja, wenn man mit einer großen Gruppe kommt und ganz gespannt ist, die meisten aber aufgrund der vorherigen Firmenfeier nicht mehr so hungrig sind und wir alle viele Getränke (Gin-Tonic etc.) bestellen und dann - obwohl der Laden halbleer ist - der Text von der Bewirtung kommt, dass die Location ja irgendein tolles Restaurant sei und man ja etwas zu essen zu bestellen hätte, dann muss man für sich entscheiden, ob das den Vorstellungen, der Preiskategorie und dem Eigenanspruch entspricht.

Essen absolut top, der Service hatte einen Schluckauf. Das Menu war hervorragend. Die Aromen und der Mut zu verrückten Kombination haben uns verzückt. Allen voran die weiße Schokolade auf Sellerieeis. Der Service war durchwachsen. Die telefonische Reservierung für 20Uhr auf 18Uhr eingetragen. Wir bekamen dann zu zweit einen Vierertisch draußen. Leider mussten wir auf Aperitif und Wein über Gebühr warten. Offenbar war ein anderer großer Tisch den ganzen Abend wichtiger. Dazu stimmte das ganze Teamplay nicht. Kaum kam jemand zu uns und fragte, ob wir was brauchen, bestellen oder sonst was wollen. Echt enttäuschend. Der Nachtisch kam dann auch erst 45 Minuten nach dem Hauptgang. Hm ... Ein Lichtblick war ein junger Kellner, den wir extra riefen und der sich dann um uns kümmerte. Alles in allem super lecker aber mit dem Beigeschmack eines dem Preisniveau nicht angemessenen Service. Da half es auch nicht, dass wir zwei Pisco Sour aufs Haus bekamen.

ein wundervoller, gemütlicher Abend ! das gesamte Ambiente, kreativ und stilvoll mit viel Natur und liebe zum Detail! extrem professioneller Service, zuvorkommend, jung, unglaublich sympathisch ! alles in allem war dieser arbeit auf allen ebenen mehr als perfekt !

I bypassed a few other places as this had reviews saying there was a good choice of wine. On arrival i said is like to have a drink by the bar. My glass was poured at the reception desk and when I asked where I could sit I was sent back out the door to the sidewalk onto a hard chair in the full sun.

Köstliche und moderne Interpretationen der französischen Küche, die mich durchweg beeindruckten! Ebenfalls eine super Auswahl an Weinen - sehr zu empfehlen.
