Hamlet in Berlin

Das Ambiente ist schön. Der Service freundlich, präsent und angenehm zurückhaltend. Allerdings ist es das Essen, was ich bemängele. Ich war mit Begleitung dort am 10.8.2026 gegen 14:30/14:45 Uhr zum Essen. Wir bestellten à la carte und nicht von der Mittagskarte. Ich nahm Züricher Geschnetzeltes mit Spätzle. Die Spätzle wirkten nicht frisch gekocht, sondern aufgebraten, sie waren nicht knusprig sondern zäh. Das zugegeben gute Fleisch war in einer geschmacklich enttäuschenden braunen Soße. Das gesamte Gericht empfand ich fade bis ok. Meine Begleitung nahm ein Wiener Schnitzel, welches sehr groß und dünn war und den Teller komplett ausfüllte. Der dazugehörige Kartoffelsalat war kühl. Die geschmacksneutralen Kartoffeln schwammen in einer Mayonnaise-Joghurt-Soße, der Salat enthielt saure Gurken anstelle von frischen Salatgurken. Das einzige Positive war die hausgemachte Limonade. Meine Begleitung und ich haben seit dem Mittag Bauchweh und Appetitlosigkeit.

Frühstück, Mittagstisch mit Wochenkarte, Abendessen, das Hamlet bietet viel und das mit gleichbleibend ausgezeichneter Qualität der Speisen, der Sorgfalt, im Service und dem ganzen Ambiente, drinnen und draußen. Mein persönlicher Favorit: Wiener Schnitzel mit Kartoffelgurkensalat.

Beim Mittagsbesuch im Hamlet am Ludwigkirchplatz ist mir direkt die abwechslungsreiche Mittagskarte aufgefallen, eine schöne Möglichkeit für eine kurze Auszeit im Berliner Alltag. Ich habe mich für die Käsespätzle entschieden (knapp 18 €): solide zubereitet und für meinen Gaumen absolut in Ordnung, auch wenn das kleine geschmackliche „Wow“ bei diesem Preis für mich ausgeblieben ist. Beim Service hatte ich einen eher verhaltenen Eindruck: Das Team war im Raum präsent und hat seinen Job gemacht, wirkte auf mich aber eher sachlich als persönlich zugewandt. Ein bisschen mehr Wärme und das Gefühl, wirklich willkommen zu sein, hätten den Besuch für mich noch stimmiger und charmanter gemacht.

Wir hatten sehr gut gegessen 👍 7 Personen und allen hatte es gut geschmeckt . Ich kann das Lokal zum essen gehen gerne empfehlen 😁

Ich war heute im Restaurant Hamlet in Berlin essen und bin absolut begeistert. Wer auf der Suche nach einer herausragenden Küche ist, wird hier definitiv fündig. Ich habe mich für das Wienerschnitzel mit Pfifferlingen entschieden – und was soll ich sagen? Es war einfach fantastisch! Das Schnitzel war perfekt zubereitet und – wie es sich gehört – wunderbar souffliert. Die Kombination mit den frischen Pfifferlingen war ein echtes Highlight. Auch die Portionsgröße hat mich überzeugt: Man merkt, dass hier wirklich Wert auf Qualität gelegt wird. Ich komme auch öfters zum Mittagstisch hierher, der ebenfalls jedes Mal wunderbar ist. Besonders der Preis von 12,50 € ist für die gebotene Qualität wirklich unschlagbar. Alles in allem war es heute wieder ein rundum gelungenes Essen. Ich kann das Hamlet nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Leider war es ... ... an unserem Besuchstag regnerisch und so konnten wir den Außenbereich für unser Frühstück nicht genießen. Aber wir hatten einen sehr schönen Tisch in dem relativ großen Restaurant. Daher war das Wetter uninteressant. Aus der reichhaltigen Karte haben wir uns erstmal ein Prinz-Hamlet-Frühstück für Zwei und ein Rührei mit Schinken ausgesucht. Nach einer normalen Wartezeit wurde uns auch alles frisch zubereitet gebracht. Auf der Frühstücksplatte war neben Roastbeef, Salami, Parmaschinken auch verschiedener Käse, viele Früchte, Marmelade und als warmes Gericht Hähnchen mit Mandeln und noch mehr. Zusammen mit dem dazugehörigen Brotkorb und dem Rührei waren wir zu viert am Schluss so gesättigt, dass für ein Stück Kuchen danach kein Platz mehr war. Außerdem war alles sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und die Preise für das Angebot sehr angemessen.

Sehr netter Laden, gutes Essen. An sich ein angenehmer Service. Bloss der neue junge Mann an der Bar ist mit seinem Handy ständig beschäftigt, gesenkter Kopf, keine Beachtung. Nicht so sehr aufmerksam, leider.

Das Hamlet ist eine angenehme, solide Option für ein gemütliches Frühstück am Wochenende in Charlottenburg. Ein großer Pluspunkt für Langschläfer ist, dass es die Frühstückskarte bis 15:00 Uhr gibt. 🍳 Essen & Auswahl: Die Auswahl an Frühstücks-Sets ist vielseitig. Neben den Klassikern (wie englisch oder französisch) wird das hauseigene „Hamlet-Set“ in zwei Varianten angeboten. Das Essen war frisch, ordentlich angerichtet und geschmacklich gut. Auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine passende Auswahl. 🙋🏻‍♀️ Service & Atmosphäre: Das Personal erlebte ich als aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Interieur ist klassisch-gemütlich, man kann hier in Ruhe sitzen und entspannt in den Tag starten.

Hier passt einfach alles, das Essen ist abwechslungsreich und schmeckt hervorragend, es gibt sogar noch Gemüse auf dem Teller, das ist im Süden nur noch Deko.

Ganz Lecker Essen. Ambiente auch ansprechend. Gerne wieder..

Tolles Frühstück (Platte für zwei) und sehr aufmerksame freundliche Bedienung

Wir waren kürzlich mal wieder im Hamlet Essen. Das Essen war gut. Die Bedienung (brünett) sehr freundlich. Allerdings fanden wir es eine Zumutung, welch intensives schweres Parfum sie benutzte, von dem einem übel werden konnte. Vielleicht gilt das ja im östlichen Europa als Appetit anregend, aber hier finden wir es gedankenlos und unverschämt, wenn eine Servicekraft in einem Restaurant ein solches intensives Parfum aufträgt.

Das Restaurant und das Essen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Leider fingen bei unserem letzten Besuch die Vorbereitungen für den nächsten Tag und den bevorstehenden Feierabend schon um 20:30 Uhr an. Die Bar wurde lautstark aufgefüllt und die Kaffeemaschine gereinigt, obwohl die Öffnungszeit bis 24:00 Uhr ist. Nach dem schönen Anfang des Abends wurde es dann sehr ungemütlich und man hatte das Gefühl nicht mehr willkommen zu sein.

ACHTUNG LOCKVOGELANGEBOT!! Heute um 12:45 vor Ort gewesen. Das attraktive Mittagsangebot (Rumpsteak) war angeblich schon ausverkauft bzw. “auf Anweisung der Geschäftsführung nicht mehr verfügbar”. Bei Rindfleisch, was auch noch a la carte Angeboten wird, ist eher von einer absichtlichen Entscheidung auszugehen. Man wird also absichtlich getäuscht, damit man à la carte teuer bestellt. Angesichts der langen Wartezeit im Vorfeld besonders frustrierend! Personal auch völlig überfordert. Die Geschäftsführung sollte in Zukunft mit solchen Lockvogelangeboten lieber vorsichtig sein!

Sehr schönes Restaurant im Herzen von Berlin Wilmersdorf. Immer gut besucht. Täglich geöffnet von 8 Uhr - 24 Uhr. Schöne Sitzmöglichkeiten zum sitzen sowohl innen als auch außen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung und sehr schnelle Lieferung auch aus der Küche. Jeden Tag auch Tagesessen. Speisen auf einem sehr guten Niveau und lecker. Preise der Lage angemessen.

Endlich mal wieder in Hamlet! Jahrelang ist mir das Restaurant irgendwie "nach hinten gerutscht" und nun war ich gestern anlässlich eines Geburtstages wieder dort. Es ist und bleibt eine Institution in Berlin! Nicht so groß und hallenartig, dezent im Ambiente und vor allem in der Lautstärke sehr angenehm! Der nächste Besuch wird nicht lange auf sich warten lassen! Das Essen, wir hatten Züricher Geschnetzeltes, Couscous mit Garnelen, Risotto mit Huhn und ein Fleischgericht, war nach all den Jahren unverändert gut! Der Kaiserschmarrn zum Dessert sehr schmackhaft (auch wenn die dazu gereichten Pflaumen FÜR MICH nicht so dolle waren). Ich würde alles so wieder wählen! Lieben Dank für die schönen Stunden

Mein neues Lieblingsrestaurant! Ob zum Frühstück mit großer Auswahl verschiedener Länderfrühstücksarten und top Qualität der Produkte oder zum Abendessen, eine großartige Küche und top Mitarbeiter! Mein Favorit: Lachsfrühstück. Noch nie ein besseres gegessen. Nur lasst die Kirschtomaten weg, die passen nicht zum Lachs, besser wären ein paar Scheiben Gemüsegurke mit Dill. Besonders im Hamlet ist, daß es alte Berliner Gerichte gibt, wie z.B. Königsberger Klopse, Süß-saure Eier in Senfsauce und eines der besten Wiener Schnitzel ausserhalb von Österreich. Getränke: Einzig wünsche ich mir ein original Helles Bier aus Bayern, das Pils ist nicht meine Sache. Bis demnächst

Ein herrlicher Kontrast zum typischen Berliner Frühstücks-SzeneCafés-City-Trubel. Ruhig, gediegen, eine sehenswerte Karte, ein empfehlenswertes Lachsfrühstück und der charmante, aber unaufdringliche Service. Man bleibt gern länger als geplant. Wiedersehenswert!

A very nice restaurant in a central location on Ludwigkirchplatz. The ambiance is stylish and cozy, perfect for lunch or dinner. The food is fresh and varied, with a successful blend of German, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisine. The staff is friendly and attentive. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right; I was very satisfied and would gladly return.

We've been loyal customers of this restaurant for years. The breakfast used to be really good – generous portions, fair prices, everything tasty and well-made. The scrambled eggs, in particular, were always top-notch: made with three eggs, fresh and filling. But what we were served today was simply outrageous. The "scrambled eggs" were a tiny portion – impossible that they were made with three eggs. More like one and a half, if that. To charge so much money for such a tiny portion is simply outrageous. This has nothing to do with quality or customer appreciation. We feel ripped off and will definitely not be coming back. Absolutely not recommended – if you don't want to waste your money, you should stay well away from this restaurant.

The atmosphere and the food are quite decent, but the portions are so small that you hardly feel full. This place is only for those who like high prices for too little food. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it.

The food was very good. There were ten of us there and we ordered from across the menu. Everything was delicious. Only the asparagus soup was a bit too salty. The service was very friendly and attentive.

Where to go for breakfast in Charlottenburg? Either you're satisfied with a hotel breakfast, or you're looking for something special. If you choose the latter option, you should include Hamlet in your selection. First and foremost, the most important thing for breakfast: the coffee is good and strong. We opted for the breakfast platter for two people. What arrived not only looked great and colorful, it was also very plentiful and delicious. The toppings on the platter easily feed three people. If there's anything to criticize about the breakfast, it's that four rolls and four slices of baguette are clearly too few. But you can always order more. I can't say what it's like on other days, but on Sunday mornings, you should definitely make a reservation. If the weather's good, you can also sit outside.

My goodness! Breakfast for two is almost impossible to finish. The incredible variety and beautifully combined selection of delicacies. There's classics, but also a few unusual items. A generous portion that fits right at the side table. Go there if you're really hungry—but be sure to make a reservation.

Six of us were there for dinner two days ago. The service was pretty quick and we never had to wait long, but it wasn't very friendly. You had the feeling that the waitress was annoyed if you didn't want to order something straight away. Extra requests such as a different side dish are not welcome and are not always possible, but at these prices they should be. Unfortunately, the rump steak had a pretty thick edge of fat and the risotto was more similar to rice with tomato sauce than to risotto. When the tip wasn't quite 10% because you couldn't pay it by card but only in cash, the waitress couldn't even say thank you and seemed "snatched". We won't go there again as you can really eat better for the prices. You are not valued there as a guest.

Very nice restaurant with high quality food at the appropriate price. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant. Depending on your mood and the number of people, you can choose between a guest room, a counter or an adjoining room. Everything is clean and looks well-kept. The food, I had Lamb Nubia, was very nicely prepared and tasted excellent. It was just a little too little for my hunger (it was for dinner and hadn't eaten anything since the morning... Maybe it's my own fault). The drinks were well tempered.

The Hamlet restaurant is a real recommendation! The menu offers a great selection of simple but excellently prepared dishes that are refined with an interesting touch of Arabic cuisine. We went here for breakfast which was certainly very satisfying. The service was very decent. The vibe is a little formal for my liking but there weren’t a lot of places that had reservations available for a group of six. We had the breakfast for 2 with meat, which I believe was €36. I consider this to be a good price.

Wir gehen seit Jahren im Hamlet essen und sind nach wie vor vom Ambiente, der Bedienung und den Speisen begeistert. Unsere Empfehlung lautet "Lamm Nubien" und Tee mit Frischer Minze im Glas mit Honig.

We are regular customers and always enjoy coming to Hamlet because of the good food and the very good service (waitresses)! However, there are also two points that are really not nice... Every now and then, but unfortunately, the glasses smell unpleasantly like an old drying cloth... And what we find absolutely impossible is the fact that dogs are not only tolerated there, but also on the benches We were allowed to take a seat at the table... unfortunately we also had to observe several times how dogs were provided with a small serving plate to eat. We have nothing against dogs but in our opinion this is absolutely not possible! We don't want to sit on a place where a dog was previously sitting and his dripping snout is always over the tablecloth and we certainly don't want to be served a plate that a dog has previously eaten!!! It's absolutely unclear to us how something like this can happen on a regular basis... but of course it makes dog owners happy because they like having their pet at the table with them! And since something like this is of course not normally tolerated in any restaurant, these dog lovers seem to feel particularly comfortable there. If it weren't for these facts that we had to observe several times, we would give Hamlet 5 stars because of the excellent cuisine and first-class service.

A great place for a perfect breakfast experience on the Ku’damm! This restaurant is simply fantastic when it comes to breakfast. The selection of dishes is impressive – everything is fresh, lovingly prepared and incredibly tasty. I was particularly impressed by the baked goods and the creative breakfast platters! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the location on the Ku’damm makes it the perfect place to enjoy the morning in style. No matter whether you are looking for a relaxed start to the day or want to fortify yourself after a short stroll through the city - you will feel right here. The friendly staff and the charming surroundings complete the experience. An absolute must for anyone who wants to enjoy their breakfast in a special way. I'll definitely be back!

Wir waren am Sonntag zum Frühstück ( bis 15:00 angeboten )im Hamlet. Der Service verlief zügig und freundlich. Der grüne Tee mit Honig war ok. Das englische Frühstück nicht riesig, aber qualitativ hochwertig. Dazu 3 (!) Brötchen und leckeres Brot, prima. Meine Tochter hatte leckeres Ei mit Avocado und extra Schafskäse. Sehr gut, auch das gesondert bestellte Hummus. Insgesamt lecker und gut. Auf meine Bitte kamen noch ein kleines Schälchen Butter ( ca. 5 Gramm ) und ein kleines Schälchen Marmelade, ok aber nichts Besonderes. Dafür aber je 2 € extra zu berechnen, halte ich für ein no go. Das trübt den insgesamt sehr guten Eindruck!

Very attractive restaurant in the heart of Berlin, but still away from the usual tourist crowds. The food was certainly not cheap, but it was very tasty. The service staff are a force - in a good mood, very hard-working and helpful. I would visit again at any time and I highly recommend it.

The Hamlet Restaurant in Berlin impresses with its stylish ambience and attentive service. For my dinner I chose the “Oriental” turkey strips – a successful dish with fine spices, perfectly rounded off by the side dishes. The combination of taste and presentation was impressive. The service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was ideal for a relaxing evening. The prices are justified for the quality. Conclusion: A wonderful place for a special dinner – highly recommended! 🌟

Very nice atmosphere and delicious cuisine. It's just annoying when duck leg is on the menu and then there's none left and you have to make do with chicken breast instead. Looks very much like a decoy offer (unfair advertising).

Newly discovered favorite place for breakfast. Large breakfast selection until 3 p.m., magically prepared. Friendly service that cares about the many regular customers. Everything is taken care of to make you feel comfortable. Hopefully there again soon.

Breakfast really top! Very tasty, beautifully prepared. Atmosphere chic design but tablecloths unfortunately a bit dirty. Unfortunately we don't have any latte & the heart on the Latte M. You couldn't tell that way... Otherwise everything is good.

Wir waren zum Frühstück hier eingekehrt, Reservierung erwies sich als sehr sinnvoll. Wir wollten das Frühstück zu zweit in der Variante für drei ordern, aber die freundliche Bedienung lehnte mit dem Hinweis „langt locker für drei“ ab. In der Tat ist es für zwei Personen nur schwer zu schaffen. Es war alles sehr lecker und mit Getränken und Trinkgeld sind wir 25€ pro Person losgeworden - preiswert.

The "Hamlet" has been one of my absolute favorite restaurants since the 90s - as has my sisters', one of ours even celebrated her 50th birthday here and traveled with her family from Switzerland, and it was beautiful as always! Whenever I came to Berlin from the States while visiting Germany, I had to visit Hamlet, heavenly atmosphere, delicious food, mega-friendly and warm-hearted service from Heidi, Georges and all the lovely staff. Every birthday in our family is now celebrated there, meetings with good friends, the atmosphere is always fantastic, everything is just right. The service really comes from the heart, the location is also a hit, it has the flair of Paris in the middle of Berlin's most beautiful area. Highly recommended, consistently top for decades, thank you very much and keep it up! 10 stars! 👌

The food was very good. We were there with 6 people on Friday evening and left almost €300. At 10 p.m. we were asked to pay because the waitress still had to clean up. The opening times are probably a bit individual. We would have liked to stay longer because we thought we were in the big city. Mistake. A pity! We'll probably celebrate somewhere else in the future.

Good enough. I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere here. It was around 21 % oxygen, which is about right. I'm not sure if twerking is allowed, but there's no signs expressly forbidding it. If you're arriving by glider, check the local wind conditions.

The price/performance ratio is not right. I won't go there again.
