Very expensive and food portion are quite small. Service was not great. Would not recommend.

Lovely and cozy atmosphere with such charm. Great selection of natural wines and comforting food. Plus, the owner is so wonderful. We left with smiles on our faces and full bellies :)

Un propietario muy competente en vinos le dará la bienvenida y le sugerirá qué sabores de vino natural se combinan con uno de los platos finos que ofrecen. An insult to the Italian food and wine. Never again.

We were with a group. It took ages to come and bring some water. And they weren't attentive the whole evening. Antipasti came and only after asking for bread they served a little bit of bread and needed to be reminded to restock bread. The antipasti was ok, but nothing special. Without grilled veggies. The lasagne was way too mushy for my taste and a tiny portion. The overall vibe and interieur was charming.

In der Woche mit einer Gruppe von 6 das Restaurant besucht. Erwartung: gemütliche trattoria. Bekommen: gemütliche Weinbar. Wirtin sehr nett allerdings vor allem italienisch und englischsprachig. Wein war gut, aber sehr teuer. Flasche ab 35€ und Glas 0,1 ab 6€. Kein Bier. Auswahl auf der Karte sehr überschaubar. Ein paar Vorspeisen: Salami und Käse, kein Schinken, keine Gebratenes und eingelegtes Gemüse und ein paar Hauptgänge: Lasagne, Canelloni, Polpette (ital Fleischklöschen). Ich hatte letztere. Sie kamen mit einer Tomatensauce, die sehr lecker war und mit 2 lockeren großen Klößen, die ebenfalls gut waren. Aber keine Nudeln dazu. Wer hier hingeht will Wein trinken und allenfalls eine Kleinigkeit essen. Sollte man wissen.

Super yummy and cozy Italian place and super quirky and nice staff!

Nice experience on the last evening of a week in Berlin. An alternative approach to Italian cuisine, fresh and seasonal ingredients, original preparation method. Everything accompanied by an extensive natural wine selection (about twenty per glass!). We ate pasta with flavors of the sea (think of pasta in brodo, finished with seaweed, pepperoncino and garlic), risotto with roasted peppers and garlic, salad with raw zucchini, chioggia beet, burrata and granola, all light and pure preparations. Nice hostess who provided suitable wines throughout the evening and uncorked additional bottles without any problem (petnat, white, orange and red, all by the glass) In short, a perfect evening, and at a more than reasonable rate! Absolutely recommended for lovers of light, Italian cuisine and Italian natural wines.

Cozy local Italian restaurant, serving great dishes and interesting wine with reasonable prices. We have been in this restaurant over years, and never been disappointed. There are several tables outside facing to the park but inside is cozy as well. Food is always simple but has good twists and we always enjoy everything. Manager is a lovely lady and service is always nice. This restaurant always tells us how important simple but warm food is.

Un très bon dîner chez Caravaggi ! La sélection de vin était top. Niveau cuisine mention spéciale pour l’aubergine au miso avec du chèvre fumé, délicieux :) La gérante était vraiment adorable !

Nella piazza forse più bella di Prenzlauer, una proposta di "cucina italiana moderna" che lascia qualche dubbio. Le tagliatelle con menta sesamo e pomodorini, discrete, arrivano in tavola tiepide.. E così il risotto e gli gnudi... Fra gli antipasti, ottimo il trittico di melanzane, banale il tagliere di salumi e formaggi. Prezzi dei vini eccessivi.

We had dinner here on a summer's evening and the food and atmosphere were fantastic! The dishes were all really high quality and very tasty. And the owner is a cool lady!

After being rejected by many restaurants as we were walking in and it was around 9pm, this little Italian place was opened. We had a great conversation with the owner! Restaurants are for women to run! The food was good, and so was the wine!

Almost 2 hours and a half to get calamari with peas and the meal was also cold. We had to cancel the dessert because it was also taking forever. The restaurant is nice and the location is amazing but they should speed up the service.

My favourite go to when I visit Berlin! The menu changes seasonally and is always delicious with vegetarian options 🤤 never fails me! The wine is also amazing, all coming from small Italian producers and always natural!!

One of my best experiences so far, after 1 year living in Berlin. A bit pricy but it is worth it. The pasta (with ragu) was amazing, the wine very tasty and original, but the most important was for me the quality of the service. The owner was so kind. You can feel that she enjoys what she is doing. Grazzie!

Went 3 years ago and it’s still great. Natural lovely service, supremely cooked dishes, chef is on his own and should be given a medal, (maybe there was an army of vertically challenged helpers I couldn’t see behind the kitchen door). The goat cheese and shrimp tartare starters were both wonderfully seasoned and the lemon sauce on the shrimp tagliatelli made it light and fresh. Please support this eatery. 2 Italian great eateries next to each other…this and Matarello

It is a small gem in Prenzlauer Berg. We have dined here several times and always enjoy the food and warm atmosphere. The lady and the cook are always the reason we go back, and sitting there enjoying our time whilst sharing the place with other guests is so calm moment for us. I myself sometimes forget to appreciate simple food and here reminds me of that! Wine selection is nice as well. Menu is not large but has vegetarian dish. Entrance is large enough for wheel chair but not 100% sure.

Hallo Tripadvisor: hier ist eine neue Inhaberin, bitte mal die alten Bewertungen löschen! Es schmeckt auch richtig gut, die Linguine mit Rotbarbe waren famos. Da würde man gern die Naturweine dazu geniessen, aber die günstigste Flasche kostet stolze 39 EUR. Das geht in so einem charmanten, einfachen kleinen Bistro (wo es nicht mal Licht auf der Toilette gibt) gar nicht. Da muss das Konzept nochmal überdacht werden, sonst sehen wir wenig Chancen für das Caravaggi. Denn ein paar Schritte weiter im Toscana auf der Sredzkistrasse bekommen wir für 21 EUR einen ganzen Liter hervorragenden italienischen Rosé. Und - was wir besonders schätzen - nach dem Dinner noch einen Grappa oder Limoncello auf's Haus. Das liegt natürlich im Ermessen des Gastgebers, hätte uns im Caravaggi aber sicherlich auch gut gemundet.

Went on a Tuesday night in October -- excellent natural wines and light dishes to accompany them. Unique, homey decor with lots of interesting posters, books, and ornaments, almost like being in a private living room. Owner/host was very friendly. Highly recommend!

They used to have the best pasta with meat ragú in Berlin until they changed the dish and totally ruined it. The last time I went we order the ceviche (terrible) and the fish, which came with no side dish. We asked if they could make some vegetables, they agreed but forgot them and we had to eat the fish on its own. Not going back

Sehr nett und freundlich. Die Bedienung ist sehr kompetent. Die Weine, selbst wenn ein bisschen teurer, sind zu empfehlen. Leider nicht zu empfehlen ist die Küche: lauwarme Speise, ausgetrocknet, ohne Geschmack. Fazit: für Wein - JA, fürs Essen - lieber woanders.

Lovely family owned restaurant with a contemporary twist to the Italian cuisine 🇮🇹🍝 The risotto is a really surprise as well as the ceviche. The Tagliolini with squid’s ink is a must have for sea taste lovers! 🌊 🐟 Ask them about wine, they will have something for you! 🍷All organic, all natural 😍 Only one dessert on the menu but a must try crispy and creamy cannoli to finish the night on a sweet note.

Good food, but too little portions at a high price (do you know French portions? ... well, but for an Italian restaurant!). At the prices, you even have to pay €2.5 for six slices of not so great bread. Do I need to pay that? NO! Service: The service deserves 0 stars. Did I tell you about the bread? Well, I had to ask three times. What a pity: Great food, price / quantity ratio very bad and a poor service.

We had a wonderful time at the Caravaggi. We really enjoyed our bottle of natural wine and the food was exceptionally delicious. The fruit in the risotto was very unusual and opened a new horizon for us. Alla prossima volta!

Nettes Ambiente, leider hat mir weder der Service gefallen (die Flasche wurde zum Platz gebracht, aber nicht gezeigt und man konnte nicht kosten), noch standen mir die Preise an (8 Euro für 0,1L finde ich echt sehr happig) im Normalfall stehen 0,2L auf der Karte, war dann etwas schockiert, als ich entdeckte, dass die Preise für 0,1L gelten.

Ein authentisches italienisches Restaurant. Etwa acht Gerichte auf der Speisenkarte. Jedes Gericht ist unglaublich gut und auch kreativ gestellt. Hier kann man nicht falsch wählen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. אחת המסעדות האיטלקיות הטובות בעיר. לא זולה ביחס לברלין, אבל האיכות של האוכל ושל היין מצדיקות את זה ללא ספק. מומלצת בחום.

Poor!!! Hat keine Ahnung von Wein und den Umgang damit: wir bestellten eine 40 Euro Flasche, der Besitzer goss uns ein ohne uns vorher ein Glas zum Testen zu geben. Ich und meine fünf Mittrinker stellten fest, dass er gekippt war / er überhaupt nicht schmeckte, aber er versuchte uns weißzumachen dass er eine Spezialität sei, die bitter schmecken würde (wovor man jeden Gast warnen sollte, der sich auf einen Wein und nicht auf Essig freut) Jeder Franzose hätte uns sofort das Geld zurückgegeben, weil er gewusst hätte, dass man seine Gäste nicht verarschen kann...

Absolute recommendation if you wanna have an authentic Italian evening in welcoming warm atmosphere. I ordered a glass of redwine, the owner was very helpful with choosing the right one for me. I also had the Tagliatelle, perfect portion, high quality meat and homemade pasta. Definitely will visit again!

Good food, but the portions are far too small for the price. Pasta on the pic was 20 quid, and expect paying extra if you want some bread. About 40 quid for a bottle of red wine. Very friendly service, though.

Das Ragout ist sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Die Weine sind gut, sollte man aber vorher probieren. Die Burata wird mit Spinat und etwas getrockneten Oliven ein wenig blass angereicht, da fehlt ein besonderes Aroma. Ein super netter Laden der auf jeden Fall zu einem gemütlichen Abend einlädt

Had great wine and good service but food is a bit hit or miss. Had bone marrow and the bones were completely empty, barely a bite to eat for 13€, the mozzarella was very good.

Food and wine are good, stuff is friendly but I kind of left with a feeling like I payed extra for nothing. Firstly, servings of wine were 100 ml instead of regular 150. Secondly, in my opinion food is fairly overpriced. For example, a plate of pasta costed about 22 euros while the size of portion was just average. The size was perfect for me but not for 22 euros. Same for the courses my friend had. If you want to charge extra, you should do something extra. However, I wouldn’t say I experienced that here.

Leckeres Essen, überteuerter Wein. Rustikal aber ehrliches frisches und sehr leckeres Essen. Flasche Bio Landwein (gut aber nicht mehr) für 36€ deutlich zu teuer. Insbesondere bei dem auch sehr einfachen Ambiente (Brot aus Tüten usw.)

The pasta I had was absolutely delicious and the waiter was very knowledgeable about wine. The wine is a bit higher priced but was very good.

Kleine Tageskarte, aber leider auch kleine Portionen, die nicht wirklich satt machen. Brot wird nur auf Nachfrage gereicht und auch nicht so, dass es den Resthunger durch die kleinen Hauptspeisen (ca. 14-19 Euro für Pasta) ausgleichen könnte. Das Essen selbst ist sehr gut.

What a delightful experience. I came to P'berg from Neukolln for The New Infinity sessions at the planetarium, by Berliner Festspiele. The enchanting Caterina Barbieri played there and it was spellbinding so ideally, I needed to complement that with a meal to match her greatness (and my huge appetite). Yes, I know, a bit of a stretch, right? One of those big little challenges I pose to myself and guess what...Berlin just keeps on delivering the goodness so why not? And boy was I glad I did choose this place! From start to finish, a delight for the senses, a wonderful sense of hospitality that makes me nostalgic for home (yours truly is originally from Modena, Italy), a competent wine list focused on natural, with some discerning pairings and a surprising Primo dish (Pasta Aglio Olio e Peperoncino) that managed to make a "humble" recipe an absolutely memorable reinvention. Ingredients appear to be sourced from selected small producers from the South of Italy (Grilled scamorza was from Bari).I am usually a little bit guarded against Italian places in Berlin, with RARE exceptions, but this one just ticks all the right boxes. And I do trust small menus and family owned places above all. I walked home with a huge sense of well being and satisfaction. All the best and Tante Belle Cose a Voi. I will be back.

Maßlos überteuert – sogar für Helmholtzplatz Besonders ärgerlich, Wein gibt’s nur in 0,1-Gläsern, allerdings zum 0,2-Preis, ab 6 Euro bist du dabei. Um nur ein Gefühl für die angebliche Größe des Weins zu bekommen, muss du dir dein Glas nachfüllen lassen – die Rechnung ist dann der Denkzettel, nicht mehr zurückzukommen. Speisekarte nur italienisch; was aber im Prenzelberg eh jeder kann. Klar für Mozzarella, Tiefkühlkrabben und Grillgemüse kannst du einfach mehr verlangen, wenn es „Mozzarella di Bufala, Frutti di Mare, und Antipasti heißt. Wann hört dieser Schwachsinn endlich auf?

Very nice and authentic place with good wine and tasty food

Another accidental find. Lovely no-frills organic Sicilian wine bar with some simple plates of delicious food. My Burrata and Aubergine pasta dishes were brimming with flavour. Tomatoes are from outside Rome. Wines are flavourful and will surprise. Service is excellent.

Absolutely one of the best Italian restaurants in Berlin. The food is just outstandingly AMAZING, it brings your mind to fabulous lands and great memories. The owner is very friendly and provides great information on the products. The place has a really homey vibe, you almost never want to leave!

Some of the best natural wine I've ever had, and some very amazing and authentic Italian cooking. It's owned and operated by a lovely Italian family who welcome you to the bar like they're welcoming you to their home, and who gladly answer most any question you could ask about their wine or their food. A real neighborhood gem.
