As always, it was an absolute pleasure. The food was excellent and so was the service. Deductions are made for the fact that the air conditioning didn't work on this brutally hot day.

Great services and atmosphere. The steaks are alright, nothing special.

The food wasn't as outstanding as usual, the staff was very impersonal and rather bad-tempered, it was much better in Munich, Düsseldorf, Vienna, everywhere

This time I was not lucky with cook: Ceasars salad had old salad leafs and bread crums were not crispy. Burgers taste was great, while French fries we cold again. Service personel was great for 2 reasons! First: a homeless person came in and asked friendly for some support: they gave him something to drink and a bag of food. As that guy asked for some Haribos, the even gave him some of these. Super friendly! I much appreciated to have witnessed that scene. Secondly I got a very friendly excuse and a free desert. So I confirm: If I'll be certainly coming back, as this restaurant sermst to have a great manager with good influence on great employees! ...and I am sure the cook will do better next time :-)

As a Texan. They are alright. Those street middle eastern meat food is better seasoned on Alexanderplatz. I will give this place a 2nd hearing when I visit again by the end of the year.

Everything is correct. Great food, great service, comfortable seating and great offers for the children. We've eaten at Block House regularly for years. Particularly noteworthy are the very friendly and professional waiters, all of them! Highly recommended!

Very nice staff. Tasty food but a bit too expensive for the amount you get. There were only two tiny pieces of meat in the “Bull” soup. Shrimp salad cost almost 12 euros, but it is small. These two dishes were from the appetizer section. The main course wasn't big either. The garlic bread that comes with the soup was super delicious. So, you can eat here once, but for the prices and portions I would have chosen something else.

Menu is good. After reading reviews we decided to give this restaurant a try, because we are steak lovers. Unfortunately, not the best feedback on food. Steak was …. Mmmm…. On okay side. The wine with steak … really bad. But the garlic bread. Fantastic - 20 out of 10.

Really bad. With 3 other tables we experienced it as loud as in a train station hall, with staff conversations, service - kitchen, service service, loud extreme rumbling from the kitchen that all the guests looked at each other.... Hospitality is different!!! Not in front of the guests!!! Someone should teach them!! No longer recommended!!!!

I discovered the lunch menu here and have to say that it always tastes excellent, fish and meat are prepared fresh and succulent. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is incredibly friendly.

My husband and I were sightseeing and found this restaurant just walking down the street. It was a mild day so we ate outside. Part of the exterior dining is covered. It was cloudy so we decided to sit under the protected area. Glad we did because it started to sprinkle and we were just fine. As for the food, it was delicious—probably the best meal I had while in Berlin. Not gonna lie, my cheeseburger and the steak my husband had were expensive, but they cooked our meat just as we ordered it. It was fresh, juicy and tender. The bun on the bottom of my sandwich was toasted with garlic butter and perfectly complimented the burger. They don’t put a top bun on the burger and I was perfectly fine with that as I try to cut carbs wherever I can. My meal came with fries and they were crisp and seasoned just right. The serving size for the fries was more than enough for me. I ended up giving my husband over half of my fries and was stuffed after lunch. The service was exceptional. The wonderfully bilingual waiter was attentive but never hovered. We asked for the check and didn’t have to wait long at all for it. Probably a small thing but as an American eating in a European city, both of our drinks were served with ice, which is a plus in my book! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

The food was good, served quickly and to the point. The service was also good. The location on Kurfürstendamm and right next to the subway is also good, I can't say anything about parking, it was within walking distance of our hotel there.

One of my favorite block houses. The service is simply incredibly good and warm. The quality is always top. Particularly noteworthy are the bar boss and the service manager.

If I could give more stars, I would. Everything was perfect and I would recommend it 100%! We had the most delicious filet mignon🤩👌🏽 And the waitress (Nico) was extremely friendly! Thank you very much 🙏🏽

I often go to Block Houses with my family. Always the same order. T-bone steak (approx. 500gr), rib eye (250gr) and American tenderloin (250gr). The last time we visited this block house we were all surprised. T-bone was significantly smaller (approx. 350g) and the rib eye with tenderloin no more than 170-180g. After a week, we were at Block Haus on Alexanderplatz. The portions there were all normal as always and significantly larger (almost twice) than at Kurfürstendamm. Unfortunately, this block house will never be used again.

Well it worked, it took forever for the food to come.

The salad was nothing special. In contrast, the meat was super tender. A little too much salt.

The quality of the meat was very good, but not justified for the price of the entire meal. Fries and bread were cold and limp, you could look for vegetables in medallions (1 broccoli florets, 2 slices of kohlrabi and 2 carrot pieces). Overall portion too small. Service was very nice, but hard to get after the first order.

Everything was great, it's a shame that Block House isn't available everywhere

NEVER AGAIN! I went out for steak with my family and I really regret it. The steak was not served to us the way we wanted it. The evening after we all had to vomit and that lasted for two days. That was terrible and I will never enter this store again, I recommend it to you! We were about to close this block house due to food poisoning.

I love this place and it’s location. The menu is the same at all locations. I tried the usuals and it’s delightful. The staff is very nice and they are helpful and kind. I loved the tables outside and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the place . Or you can also sit inside.

It's a shame, it's a real shame!! I have already counted this restaurant among my favorites. But now I notice how inflation is spreading here too. For me it's completely OK that medallions or steaks of this category and quality justify their price, especially since it's really tasty, but the portion was simply too stingy. I'm writing this here because I know the conditions of previous years (I lived in Berlin for 12 years myself), but that will only get you sick of Smurfs. I wasn't even the most hungry myself, but I was only partially "full" from it. The side dishes (gratins and salad additions) were also far too sparsely topped. It's a shame, that's all I can say.

A great service for the whole family. Anyone who goes with a small child will be surprised at the unsurpassable service. Children's chair, children's cutlery and something for painting. The children's food is thoughtfully delivered with the starter so that you can enjoy the main course warm yourself. Really strong

Without any reservations, I went there on valentine's day and they were nice enough to let us in and serve us. The staff were super friendly and attentive, they brought one of us an English menu since he couldn't read German and everything was well adjusted. We got goulash and onion soup and they brought salad for each steak we ordered, they were both tasty and we didn't have to wait much for them. The salad was fresh and they make it as you order. After the starter, the food came not that late, it was nicely designed and it smelled good. We had salmon, T-bone and a Ribeye, they all came together and we're cooked the perfect amount. They all had an amazing taste and we couldn't complain, specially the salmon that was cooked in a certain sauce that made it better. Definitely recommend the place, it had a nice environment and nice staff.

Steak was buttery tender as always. Apple strudel hot but without cream. We ordered 1 portion of cream with it, but it didn't arrive. Otherwise, everything is good.

When you enter, if you are not greeted at the door (!), you will be greeted in a friendly manner by a member of staff and you will almost always be assigned a seat quickly. The menu is clear, but there is something on offer for every palate. The middle section of the menu lives up to its name as a steakhouse; There are many different types of steak to choose from. For example, sirloin steak or T-bone steak. The steak itself is usually grilled to perfection. If something is not right, it will be corrected without any problem. Prices have risen considerably since the VAT increase - a bit too much in my opinion. Therefore one point deducted. Otherwise the offer is good - from the ambience to the waiters to the food. Pro tip: The changing lunch specials come with a large portion including salad for an average of €13. Absolute price-performance recommendation.

Meat was a bit hard. But service power was excellent.

Rude staff that criticizes your order even though they bring the meat with wrong cooking degree. It also comes cold and in 40 minutes even though we go not in the prime hour. Manager is also very rude and certainly takes your energy and will to eat. Certainly will not go again and do not recommend to anyone that wants to eat steak.

I really wanted to stay in a blockhouse because of its often-cited child-friendliness. Since it was already visible online that there was an extra card for kids, I was impressed. So finally there late Saturday afternoon! As a welcome, my son was given something to paint. Nice attention. My little one then had the pasta with tomato sauce, called Toni Tomato. I tried it, the story was pretty fruity and totally okay for the price, he thought it was good too. I had a Hereford rib-eye, cooked medium rare. Was delicious. The potato with sour cream served with it is really good and the baguette is a dream! At the end there was a farewell present for the child. Also a nice gesture! Well then... food very tasty, children's menu (!), attention for kids (aka customers of tomorrow), really very nice and attentive service, cozy. 4.3 stars from me!!!

It felt like slavery!! Tuncay served us excellently and served us well, as I noticed also the neighboring tables. There weren't too many guests there, but two drunk men behaved very conspicuously. And that’s where the so-called “MR HENTSCH” came into play. He commanded like anything else, his voice could be heard all the way to the tables. He started with a lady who he just yelled at. Then it was our waiter Tuncay's turn. With Tuncay he was “more offensive”. My eyes were only on HENTSCH, at some point he saw that I was looking at him and he took Tuncay back into the kitchen. Through a slit I was able to observe how HENTSCH verbally abused his colleague Tuncay. He then saw that I was able to continue watching them and then they were gone. 5 minutes later Tuncay came out, I ordered the bill and asked for the chicken. He wasn't seen again for 15 minutes. He probably didn't have the guts to accept a request from me. Giving a tyrant, a dictator of this kind the power to treat his colleagues like slaves is also Blockhouse's responsibility. As a restaurateur, I will no longer enter this barn, where there is no hierarchy but slavery. Really disappointing. I left my card with Tuncay, if he wants a more pleasant manager, feel free to contact me!!

Very, very friendly and courteous staff, we felt like we were in good hands at all times. The food was very good, especially the burger patty was of really good quality and tasted delicious. We will definitely eat there again the next time we visit Berlin.

Large selection of steaks and burgers. Everything well prepared. Not five points because the meal in the half-empty restaurant took almost an hour and the prices are pretty steep. Apart from that, it's cozy, friendly service and well located as long as you don't need a parking space.

If you want to eat a good steak, you've come to the right place. It's not cheap (30€-40€), but in Berlin you can get a bad steak for this price in many restaurants. The service still has the typical Berlin snout (and I mean that in a positive way). I would describe the atmosphere as rustic. It's not a fancy restaurant but "just" a steakhouse.

Da wird nichts selbst gemacht. Fleisch, Kartoffeln, Soßen, kann man alles auch tiefgekühlt im Supernarkt kaufen. Genauso wird es dort zubereitet. Absolutes NoGo… schlimmer noch, dass es anscheinend manche Gäste nicht einmal bemerken, wie sie veräppelt werden. Da gibt es wirklich bessere Steakhäuser.

Ich kam an, werde von Kellner begrüßt und hingewiesen, dass mich der Restaurantleiter (vermutlich) platzieren wird, der sich sage und schreibe über 5 min. mit der einen Mitarbeiterin unterhalten hat und mich komplett ignorierte. Als der Kellner ihn zum dritten Mal aufmerksam machte, dass ich IMMER noch da stehe (was für eine Frechheit von mir *lach*}, drehte er sich um, total genervt, ignorierte mich weiter und fragte den Kellner was los wäre und wieviele Personen wir sind. Hallo!!! Ich bin da, stehe vor Ihnen, begrüßen Sie mich, sprichen Sie mich an!!! Ich kann nur sagen, es war UNTERIRDISCH. Ich habe mich nie so unwohl gefühlt und nie so stark das Gefühl gehabt nicht willkommen zu sein. Ein Stern für den Kellner, der immer wieder versuchte die Aufmerksamkeit von Restaurantleiter zu bekommen (der sich lieber über private Sachen mit ihrer Kollegin unterhalten hat) und für die Dame an Tressen, die mich auch sehr freundlich begrüßte. Unverständlich für mich, wie man sowas bringen kann. Sehr schade.

Samstag abend war es sehr voll und es hat ein bisschen mit dem Essen gedauert aber das Steak war dafür super was dann wieder für die Wartezeit entschädigt hat

Good tasty steak cooked well. The baked potato, salad and bread that came with it were also good. Service friendly and efficient. Price was fair, we spent around 90 euros for 2 people including drinks and dessert.

Ich war heute zum mittag im Blockhaus. Wie immer ist das Personal super nett und zuvorkommend. Hier stimmt der Servicegedanke. Das Steak ist lecker und der Nachtisch süß;-) ich bin gerne hier und komme öfters. Lieben Dank für das lecker essen.
