Fantastically tender steak, reliably consistent quality, dewy salad. Always the right decision, but the ambience isn't great. It's about eating a great steak with everything on it, everything is perfect, and then leaving again. You're unlikely to spend a nice evening there.

The food was good. But wow! The garlic bread was AMAZING! Definitely order it during your stay. Best garlic bread in Berlin, trust me!

Today was my first time at the Blockhaus in about seven years. Quality-wise, I have to say it's remained the same standard as it was seven years ago. It hasn't changed much, so it's average. Two stars for the ambiance, simply because it looks a lot like Grandma's in the GDR. All in all, I'd give it three stars. The service, however, is excellent and very friendly.

It was delicious, the staff were all smiling and kind, and I want to come again.

I absolutely loved the Block House at Adenauerplatz! The food was excellent, my steak was perfectly cooked, tender and full of flavor. The side dishes, especially the crusty bread and the great sour cream oven potatoes, were also great. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. The atmosphere is pleasant, cozy and modern at the same time - you immediately feel at home. I will definitely come back and recommend the restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy good food and a great time!

Arrived at 9:45 p.m. and they said the kitchen was already closed, even though it says on the internet that the opening hours are until 11 p.m. It's better not to write on the internet that you're going all this way for nothing. It's a shame ☹️

Well, what can I say? We often go to the Blockhaus, although more in Zehlendorf than on Kudamm. This was our second time here on Kudamm, and also the second time our steaks were ordered medium and arrived completely cooked. On top of that, both steaks were laced with tendon. The first time, we returned the food and were served truly great steaks, as you would expect at Blockhaus. Sorry, but the second time, it was the same thing again and again. We returned the food. This time, too, they offered us a new meal, which we declined. I'm really sorry, but we won't be coming back here again. I don't have the patience or time. The fact that we then had to pay for our two drinks after waiting for almost an hour is the icing on the cake. I could swear it wouldn't be any better on the third try. It's a pity for the good reputation that Blockhaus has built up over the years.

Since it was not possible to make a reservation by telephone that day, six of us were supposed to come by spontaneously. Despite the huge crowd, the gentleman at reception was very nice and really in a good mood. After a wait of about 20 minutes, we got a table. Drinks and then the food came really quickly. The service was really friendly and attentive. The taste is really great. Each of us was very satisfied. Price/performance is really okay. Very happy again.

Yesterday, after a long time, I treated myself to a steak at the Block House again. As usual, the steak was prepared very tasty, ordered medium and received medium. Beforehand, a small salad and a baked potato as a side dish, as well as some herb bread. There is nothing to complain about in terms of taste, BUT with good will the 250 gram steak probably only reached 200/210 grams. I didn't have a scale with me ;-) and the standard answer: "The raw weight is always given". A steak cannot lose that much water. The side dishes of potato, also extremely tasty, but only relatively manageable in size. Yes, you can eat really well in the Block House, it's just a shame that a few grams are saved in order to obviously increase your earnings even further. I'll be back at Doreedos on Kurt Schumacher Platz the next time I have a steak dinner. Not a great atmosphere, but the promised weights are correct and the side dishes are also a reasonable size.

The food was great as usual! What shocked me, however, was when a mouse darted through the restaurant. When I pointed this out to the waiters, their reaction didn't seem unexpected! An absolute no go. I'm definitely not coming back!

Yes, the food is good. Usual Block House quality and comes relatively quickly, but one of the waiters was so rude to us that I felt incredibly uncomfortable after the visit. Some comments should really be kept to yourself, hopefully he reads it. I won't eat steak here again, sorry.

The last time I was at the Block House was 5 years ago, but unfortunately it wasn't worth it. The meat is getting smaller and the side dishes are getting bigger...I'd rather cook at home for the money and have more of it

You can't get a steak to the right doneness! We come here once or twice a year. There is also no incentive to do more. So far I have only experienced it once that you get the cooking level that you ordered. I always eat a 250 g tenderloin, my wife always eats a rump steak or a Mrs. Rump steak. We always order medium-rare, meaning it should still be rare. But at best we get the larger steak medium-rare, if at all, the smaller one is always brutally well done. Even if you ask for it beforehand, nothing changes. That's because the people at the grill have no idea what they're doing. You put both steaks on the grill at the same time and cook them for the same amount of time. Then it's not surprising that such a result comes out. That might be possible with a Thuringian bratwurst stand, but not for steaks that cost 38 and 32 EUR. Complaints are at least answered with the fact that you get the mineral water for free. But that's not useful in a steakhouse that you go to for a steak. I'm tired of it. Yesterday was the penultimate time. If that happens again, that's it for us with the block house. Just a point because after all we come here for the food, why else?

It's not worth the money, I've eaten better, you can't get a martini in a water glass for €5, the manager said there's no room for a martini 🍸 . Unfortunately it's gone a lot. It's a shame ☹️

Food good. I want to pay the bill, employees colleagues hid our waitress's iPad for fun. Our waitress had to look for her iPad in the store for 10 minutes and colleagues thought it was funny. As a customer, I had to wait unnecessarily long even though I was in a hurry. Very unprofessional, and 0.0 attention to the customer. Bad.

Great meat restaurant. Well thought out facility with nice music. Lunch is offered on weekdays from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Attentive and unobtrusive staff.

2 visits - the same good waiter who implemented my wishes 100%, meat fried just as well...everything was very good again. There was a huge rush right at 12 p.m., but the service and the kitchen ran smoothly. 👍 and thank you 1 Positively surprised - filet mignon tender, perfectly cooked as requested, service staff friendly. High and stable quality chain restaurant for meat lovers. I liked the lamb a lot.

The food here is of good quality, as usual from Block House. The portions are not very large, but the prices are relatively moderate-high. The service is friendly, but there is little opportunity for interaction (e.g. for inquiries or ordering invoices) because the employees are of course very busy. All around: “you can do it”.

The two of us went to Block House for dinner and absolutely loved it! The food was incredibly tasty, the service was very friendly and attentive. We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the entire restaurant - plates, glasses, cutlery and even the windows were spotless! We felt completely comfortable and will definitely come back. Absolute recommendation!

Simply very well done. Fast and good. I ordered a T-bone steak and it is grilled perfectly. Juicy with salad and delicious bread.

It was another very nice evening at the Block House. The filet mignon tasted excellent. I can always recommend the Block House. Very happy again.

Really nice steak, good selection of wines and the desert is amazing as well. Just a little bit too tight on space.

What was particularly noteworthy was the good service. Unfortunately, both steaks (T-bone and lady steak), despite being cooked correctly, were a bit hard and dry. Only the fillet part right on the bone was perfect. But taste good. We had the same scenario in the Zehlendorf branch in the summer. We don't know that from the USA (4 times in the last 12 months and various steaks) It's a shame because everything else was really good. Salad, bread and potatoes. The service was great that evening. We'll be back because I get about two free visits with my credit card, but then I'll choose a different dish.

Was there as a guest for the first time today, definitely not my last time. We were super happy with everything and received a very warm welcome. Attentive and friendly service, high praise for that. These log cabins are unbelievable. Prices mega, food mega, service mega... You can't complain here. Really not.

I took a portion of goulash, but a cup came for 6.5 euros, which was unfortunately too salty. My friend took a medium beef steak, but in my opinion a bit raw, almost moving the cow, 45 euros

The classic, Mr. Rumpsteak is absolutely recommended! Delicious appetizers and a super tasty dressing for the salad make us want to stop by again.

Food was very bad, the meat was bloody and had to be put on the grill again. Things didn't get any better after that. The waitress was otherwise super nice. It's a shame about the food, otherwise that's what you come for.

The food is really great. It was my first time there. Very friendly service. What I liked was that there was an extra bowl of dip with the baked potato. I can only recommend it to everyone!

The food came about an hour after ordering. My steak was not medium as ordered but rare. My guests' food was swapped. My returned steak came after my guests were almost finished. I have to say, the log cabin at Theo is by far better. The service tried to make it up to me and only offered me a free drink. 3 people 120€

Where food becomes a real treat. Were received in a friendly manner, the service was 1A. We ordered starter soup, rump steak and burger. There was also a salad. I have to say, super tasty. The Dresden palate was not disappointed. When we are back in Berlin we can't avoid this steakhouse. Thank you very much and keep it up👍

Ambience a bit like in the 80's. Anyone who loves the food in the Blockhouse tends to overlook this. I like the salad and the meat is delicious. The service is quick and attentive. Prices are rather high, but quality has its price!

This time I was not lucky with cook: Ceasars salad had old salad leafs and bread crums were not crispy. Burgers taste was great, while French fries we cold again. Service personel was great for 2 reasons! First: a homeless person came in and asked friendly for some support: they gave him something to drink and a bag of food. As that guy asked for some Haribos, the even gave him some of these. Super friendly! I much appreciated to have witnessed that scene. Secondly I got a very friendly excuse and a free desert. So I confirm: If I'll be certainly coming back, as this restaurant sermst to have a great manager with good influence on great employees! ...and I am sure the cook will do better next time :-)

As a Texan. They are alright. Those street middle eastern meat food is better seasoned on Alexanderplatz. I will give this place a 2nd hearing when I visit again by the end of the year.

Everything is correct. Great food, great service, comfortable seating and great offers for the children. We've eaten at Block House regularly for years. Particularly noteworthy are the very friendly and professional waiters, all of them! Highly recommended!

Very nice staff. Tasty food but a bit too expensive for the amount you get. There were only two tiny pieces of meat in the “Bull” soup. Shrimp salad cost almost 12 euros, but it is small. These two dishes were from the appetizer section. The main course wasn't big either. The garlic bread that comes with the soup was super delicious. So, you can eat here once, but for the prices and portions I would have chosen something else.

With 3 other tables we experienced it as loud as in a train station hall, with staff conversations, service - kitchen, service service, loud extreme rumbling from the kitchen that all the guests looked at each other.... Hospitality is different!!! Not in front of the guests!!! Someone should teach them!! No longer recommended!!!!

I discovered the lunch menu here and have to say that it always tastes excellent, fish and meat are prepared fresh and succulent. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Consistently high quality and attentive and quick service

My husband and I were sightseeing and found this restaurant just walking down the street. It was a mild day so we ate outside. Part of the exterior dining is covered. It was cloudy so we decided to sit under the protected area. Glad we did because it started to sprinkle and we were just fine. As for the food, it was delicious—probably the best meal I had while in Berlin. Not gonna lie, my cheeseburger and the steak my husband had were expensive, but they cooked our meat just as we ordered it. It was fresh, juicy and tender. The bun on the bottom of my sandwich was toasted with garlic butter and perfectly complimented the burger. They don’t put a top bun on the burger and I was perfectly fine with that as I try to cut carbs wherever I can. My meal came with fries and they were crisp and seasoned just right. The serving size for the fries was more than enough for me. I ended up giving my husband over half of my fries and was stuffed after lunch. The service was exceptional. The wonderfully bilingual waiter was attentive but never hovered. We asked for the check and didn’t have to wait long at all for it. Probably a small thing but as an American eating in a European city, both of our drinks were served with ice, which is a plus in my book! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

The food was good, served quickly and to the point. The service was also good. The location on Kurfürstendamm and right next to the subway is also good, I can't say anything about parking, it was within walking distance of our hotel there.

One of my favorite block houses. The service is simply incredibly good and warm. The quality is always top. Particularly noteworthy are the bar boss and the service manager.

Auch heute waren wir wieder sehr zufrieden. Die Gerichte waren prima, und ein besonderes Lob verdient die freundliche und gutgelaunte Kellnerin Uschi!
