Excellent steaks, generous portions, excellent service

Yesterday in Berlin at the zoo. Of course we hadn't reserved a seat, but we were offered a table very quickly. We were last here seven years ago. The food and service is exactly as we experienced it back then. Really great thumbs up here

One more of this franchise, which due to its location in the Bikini shopping center, is very well located. The truth is that I have been to several of these places throughout Germany, and this is one more, the quality of their products and their cuisine is very acceptable. In this case, the personal treatment of the waiters fell short. It was distant, cold and out of place, Saturday night... okay but that's no reason. What was said improving this last point, recommended as always

I go here every once in a while. Great steakhouse. The food and service are impeccable!

Were here for dinner in the evening. We only had to wait a short time and got a table straight away. Very friendly waiter. One steak wasn't as ordered. It was exchanged for a new one without any problems and in a friendly manner and it was 100% in order. The quality is really okay for this price. The service was also very good. We will definitely come here to eat here again!

The food is really good and, unlike many other restaurants, they get the level of doneness you ordered professionally. But the prices have also increased quite a bit.

Terrible service. Most of the staff is super unfriendly and aggressive. I have been twice and the second time I decided not to have dinner there. I arrived at 20:30 and both of the time a the same blonde young waitress came and told me aggressively that I cannot eat outside because because “I wear a jacket but the waitress do not and they get sick with the cold”. It was 28 degrees outside but was too tired to respond so I left. Hope the owner can hire friendlier and more qualified staff since this is recurring and bot normal. This place is defenetly to avoid.

This was our second time in Berlin and we ate there several times each time. Always got a place straight away, friendly staff. Top quality from salad to dessert. Very child-friendly, something I've never experienced before, you immediately feel welcome. Special praise goes to "our" waiter Jeff, he was very friendly and very attentive to our son (us too, of course) and made sure that there was no boredom and that the first hunger was satisfied as quickly as possible. Thanks for that! We will definitely be back, a visit is highly recommended!

As always when we go to Block House, first class meat, very attentive staff and great service. Always an absolutely positive experience. We are and will remain loyal customers.

Great place for dinner and amazing service and attention by Ekrem. Ordered Mrs. Rumpsteak and rib-eye. it was so good, so tender. Salad was fresh and juicy. Apfelstrudel with vanilla ice cream is one of the best we eat ever. Enjoyed dinner a lot and thanks to chef and Ekrem.

I really enjoy eating here at least weekly. Compared to other Block House branches, this one is, in my opinion, the most appealing to me. Every service is polite and professional. I'm always offered my regular spot and they already know my order because I always eat the same thing - the T-bone steak. I was never disappointed with the quality of the food and that's rare for me. Even the salad is more than just a side dish and something you look forward to. I can't remember looking forward to a salad anywhere else.

As parents, we were very happy about how child-friendly the restaurant was! The service was extremely attentive and friendly. We have rarely felt so welcome with a baby and we would definitely like to come back and try the other dishes besides steak! Thanks!

One of the worst block houses I've eaten at. From the staff to the food my T-bone steak was tough, not edible.

The two of us went to Blockhouse and ate steak. Total €75 with side dish and drink. Overall, the food was good and tasty, but we're now getting to the point where we're sure we'll never eat there again. A woman sat alone next to our table and was flirted with by the waiter named Jeff while ordering. This continued while eating and waiting for the bill. When I asked the waiter about his way of serving us, which had previously been derogatory and not very polite (When my wife asked what salad dressings were available, he promptly replied with “Those are on the menu.”), he became disrespectful and asked what he hadn't done to us, what he had done to the lady next to us. Even when he actively mentioned his actions, there was no insight to be seen but rather an incredibly unreasonable manner. When I asked for the bill he left and cursed under his breath. I waited 15 minutes for the bill, which meant I had to speak to a waitress or the waitress manager. Only then did he come with the bill, which he miscalculated. We didn't even get a “nice evening” let alone a “goodbye”. I won't eat there again.

I've gone to Block House twice now just for the tartare, always delicious and extremely satisfied. Only the tartare could have 1 more slice of bread, unfortunately not everything fits on 2 slices.

I have eaten here with my family twice in a row, since the first time we ate wonderfully, and we prefer to make sure we eat good quality, quantity and better service. The price is high, but compared to the prices in Berlin, of similar restaurants, it is worth it. The waiter has been more than excellent, not only because he was efficient, he did everything possible to understand us through the language and any special requests, all with friendliness and good humor.

We came for lunch. In my opinion, the lunch menu should be offered without being asked and then available, which unfortunately wasn't the case here. Otherwise the service was good. However, the sirloin steak was delicious, as were the side dishes. Overall, it is a simply furnished but tasty steakhouse whose prices are a bit high. Overall 7.5/10 👍🏾

So well worth a visit the food is fantastic and really great value plus it’s so well situated. We left it a little late with our booking so next we’ll go a little earlier.

In a reasonably good location with a view of the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche in Berlin. Both rump steak and filet mignon without finesse and almost raw meat despite requests for medium. Our children took hamburgers. No bread for the burgers. Overpriced and also a waiter who seemed to have been denied his holiday. There should be at least 100 other restaurants in the area as better options if you are hungry.

Unbelievable price hike from a chain ‘restaurant’. Got 10x the quality of steak at an authentic Argentinian restaurant for steak at a cheaper price. Absolute capitalist joke !

This is a perfect Block House branch. The place is super spacious, and there's always a free table to get seated. The staff is helpful and friendly, and it doesn't take too long to get your food ready. It's a perfect location for a nice dinner, the food is outstanding and they also have one of the tastiest aperols in town. The best steaks and potatoes in town!

It is preferred if you want to eat a nice steak in Berlin.

For those of you who are from the UK, Block house is very similar to Miller&Carter. The photos are very red due to the awnings on the terrace being red. Which can hurt the eyes a little especially when the sun is shining.

First of all I come to the very positive!….The waiters = A1! But... a restaurant that serves champions from a can is very subterranean for me. You can't go wrong with schnitzel and fries... but the sauce with it also tasted really terrible. I'm still thinking about a second visit...

Here you can find the most popular blockhouse quality in the middle of Berlin. We were seated in a friendly manner and were able to eat in a relaxed manner. There is also a large outdoor terrace. Top atmosphere.

The friendliness of the staff was MEGA Unfortunately the food wasn't great Quality of steak poor You're happy to pay more for quality but that was really sad... Food was ok, but we waited forever - even though it was still literally empty. I think over 30 minutes for an almost empty restaurant is really beyond the norm. The waitress was also rather distracted/disinterested and put everything down without saying a word. We had to wait quite a bit to pay and at some point we asked a second time - for which we had to go to the reception ourselves because no one responded to us. I really appreciate Block House and have always had good experiences - the food tastes good and the quality is right, and today it was delicious in itself. But the waiting and consistent ignoring really "annoyed" us at some point today.

Price-performance was ok. But I've eaten better steaks. Cooking level medium was on point, but the meat had tendons and was a bit tough. The buyer was simply unlucky. Service very friendly and competent. The ambience is appealing according to this location.

No more turkey steaks without justification

Block House is a good quality steakhouse in Berlin. I tried rib-eye and grilled with juicy and delicious taste.

Atmosphere like a typical American steakhouse... Great meat! Great grilled! Service was friendly and professional (it's rare to find both at the same time) and was even able to convey the mishap with a defective espresso machine in an acceptable manner.

Medium Rare – The steak is pink inside with a red center. Medium – The steak is pink throughout. Medium Well – The steak has just a hint of pink in the center. Well Done – The steak is brown throughout, with no pink parts. So when you say "medium well" that's technically correct and more specific than just "medium" or "well done". He should therefore avoid unnecessary fussing about the Open Kitchen Pass in the future, because all that shines about this behavior is his half-knowledge. Otherwise, as I said, delicious and a positive experience. However, I would like to put together my own salad, just like you would at a steakhouse, and the receptionists came across as a bit bossy, in contrast to the service, who was top notch.

Haven't been to the Block House for a long time. In the early afternoon it wasn't very busy anymore, the service was a bit slow, there had probably been a lot to do beforehand. The food we ordered came in a short time and was of good quality. The kitchen's years of experience in preparing meat were clearly noticeable. Yummy! 😋 The portions were large enough so that we were full and satisfied after eating. Always happy.

Rather below average experience. The meat was a bit sour. I asked for medium- well done but it was quite rare in the middle and I left most of the meat. The waiter could have been a bit more friendly. No smile whatsoever. He gave us the menu in German knowing that we couldn't understand German. Another waiter came to give us the English version later. When it came to paying for the bill, I was about to pay but the first waiter was like 'is that what you are going to pay?' . So I was confused and I said the bill is what I'll be paying. But he asked me again. Then I understood that he wanted me to pay a tip. So I asked how much tip? He said that I can pay whatever. So I ended up being coerced into paying for the 10% tip even though it isn't mandatory in Germany. Overall, not the best experience. Not too bad, but not excellent either. Very average steakhouse let down by lacklustre service.

If you want to eat classic American meat, there are all kinds of meat. 5 of us went here and ate different types of meat, all of them were delicious and juicy. The french fries were fresh and crispy. Unfortunately, we had no room for dessert, but I recommend it as it is decent, clean, suitable for families and in a central location.

5 stars are still not enough. First of all, a big compliment to our waitress Ms. Conny (02/20/24 approx. 8:00 p.m.), what great service and super friendly even though I made a small mistake with my order. It was uncomfortable for me, but it didn't bother her at all and asked me several times afterwards whether everything was okay. As usual, the food in the log cabin is wonderful, the salad was like fresh from the field and the meat is simply delicious. Overall a delicious restaurant. I was there with my dad that evening. Luckily we got a spot straight away as there is always a huge queue. The food itself was delicious. The starter salad was fresh and delicious. The only thing I found a bit unfortunate was that the steak I ordered for 44 euros looked like a lump of meat. Don't get me wrong, it tasted delicious but just didn't look that good (especially for the money). Well, overall a good restaurant, even if the portions are small and the presentation is rather poorly done

The new bowl was super tasty. The service and service are top!! Just very dark from the lighting. Reading the menu and eating in the semi-darkness is not that easy.

A really nice BLOCK HOUSE - I really enjoy going there. Service great, food great and I like the high ceilings there... it gives a great feeling of space.

Shrinkflation has obviously arrived here! One of the best system catering restaurants there is in Berlin. Possibly due to the lasting quality and the expected taste which is good. The ambience is also very inviting, although in my opinion it has been the same for 40 years. This is not due to nostalgic feelings, but it is actually cozy. After initially rising prices of the main courses by up to 40%, the side dish portions have been becoming significantly smaller for months. On my last visit, compared to before, there was only half a plate of fries, a dollop of spinach and just a piece of garlic bread about 5 cm small. Unfortunately I wasn't amused as our main course wasn't cheap at €35-38. The prices are slowly approaching those of Raue or the entrecote on Schützenstrasse. And here I don't get any finished products, which hasn't bothered me in the Block House so far.

The restaurant is in a very nice location, the food came to the table quickly and the service man was very friendly. Unfortunately the sour cream was far too sour and bitter for me and I couldn't finish it. The potato gratin tasted good but unfortunately it was far too small for the price. The meat had far too little fat for it being a rump steak, so we definitely had to add a lot of seasoning. There are definitely better steakhouses, but you still deserve 3 stars from me. Thank you for your work.
