Every year it gets more expensive and worse - the portions are tight for a teenager, a joke for an adult, very little for 20€. Service and ambience are good.

Highly recommended, food and service very good. I can't say much about the ambience, maybe it depends on the time of day. I wait in the morning because without a table reservation I still got a table. I would still recommend reserving a table and if possible not at the entrance as there is a draft. Otherwise everything is fine.

The BLOCK HOUSE Zehlendorf at Teltower Damm 36 in Berlin offers an excellent steakhouse experience. The quality of the steaks is excellent, perfectly grilled and tender. The side dishes, such as the baked potato and the crisp salad, complement the menu ideally. The atmosphere in the historic Fürstenhof is cozy, and the Mediterranean sun terrace in particular invites you to linger. The service is friendly and attentive, making the visit a completely successful experience. For steak lovers in Berlin, the BLOCK HOUSE Zehlendorf is definitely worth a recommendation.

We have always wanted to stop here. Now we have done it. Very cozy atmosphere, really nice staff (which is no longer a given), the food was very good. The prices for a steakhouse are also acceptable. We'd love to come back.

There again for lunch. Got a nice seat without a reservation and, as always, had a good meal.

I ate New York cheeseburgers. That was delicious. And for dessert I ate 🍮 Franzbrötchen mousse with hot plums. I recommend everything I ate. 😋👍

Very cool and friendly staff and the atmosphere is very good in the summer even outside which is perfect! If you choose something from the standard menu you can't go wrong except for the burgers, you really don't go there hahaha it's more meat with some bread.

Great steakhouse, I've been eating here regularly for about 20 years. Fillet steak, baked potato, salad and garlic bread. I just reviewed the Asado in Zehlendorf, where the meat quality is a tad better than here. But even in the log cabin, the meat is excellent in 95% of cases. The salad and sauce and of course the sour cream available in supermarkets are unbeatable. The service in the Blockhaus is much more professional than in the Asado, where the waitress has recently been strolling around in a friendly, relaxed canteen manner. The ambience in the log cabin was very nice, the terrace was very nice, the toilets were clean and modern (the Asado was clean, but from the seventies). Due to the ambience, service and the boring salad in the Asado, the Asado received one star less, although the meat in the Asado is a little better. Complaints are dealt with in a friendly and professional manner at the Loghaus.

Yesterday we had dinner at the Block House in Zehlendorf, and all I can say is: it was a really great evening! The food was simply perfect – everything was right from the quality to the taste. There's really nothing to complain about. The bruschetta wasn't quite what I had imagined visually, but the taste was still convincing. I would particularly like to highlight the great service staff: super friendly, attentive and warm - so you feel welcome as a guest. If you value excellent food and great service, this is the place for you. I can highly recommend the Block House in Zehlendorf!

I have known Block House since the 90s and at many different locations in Hamburg and Berlin. Consistent quality is one of the company's strengths, I can only emphasize that! I have been to this house in Zehlendorf several times and have always been satisfied. Yesterday, however, I had a complaint. The steak that was ordered medium was done. I called a waiter who immediately apologized and offered me a new steak. What came shortly afterwards was a steak that was fried to perfection and I was extremely satisfied.

For the first time in 20 years, I'm totally disappointed with the steak I ordered at the Blockhaus in Zehlendorf. The (medium) steak I ordered was still almost raw when it came to the table and after my complaint it was medium rare in the middle. However, it tasted burnt from the outside. Since my table was already reserved for the next guests, unfortunately there wasn't enough time to order a new steak. In the end I went home without eating a steak. Very disappointing!!

We have been to many Blockhaus branches, but we liked it here the best. The service was outstanding and the food was very, very good. The prices are okay and have even been reduced. We felt completely at home and were quickly shown a table even without a reservation. Our waiter was very, very accommodating. Funny and did his job very well. For us it's one of the best branches we've come across so far.

My favorite blockhouse. In summer you can sit comfortably on the terrace. The food is consistently good every time, is served quickly and the staff is super friendly. Always happy.

Great restaurant with great service and good food

The restaurant has a very nice beer garden. Service is friendly. But: Monday, 7 p.m., approx. 35% of tables are occupied. I wanted to eat a quick steak outside and keep driving. I only ordered a fillet steak and a drink. I have about 40 minutes for my order!!! waited!! It's a mystery to me why it took so long to serve a normal steak in a steakhouse!?!

You should make a reservation on weekend evenings, we were lucky and only had to wait 5 minutes. We treated ourselves to the beef fillet, it was great, the staff was very attentive. The time between ordering and delivery was pleasantly short. This was definitely not our last visit.

Quality, service and ambience are great. Of course, this is also system catering. So my rating and expectations are aimed at that and not at “normal” restaurants. But it actually doesn't feel like a system restaurant but more like a nice little steakhouse around the corner.

I have enjoyed staying at the Block House numerous times over the last forty years - today, August 31st, it was simply bad. The bread was never fresh (reordered several times). The (first) steak wasn't cooked at all as ordered. The second steak I ordered smelled and tasted rotten!!! Foodless Saturday evening. There was no apology from the restaurant manager and there was no response other than a “beer on the house”. Something like this was previously unthinkable in the Block House.

usually over-run, especially in the evenings and in the outside area / beergarden. the atmosphere may not be for everyone. the food is decent, not exceptional, but comes at a considerable price. the value for money just does not seem right.

Was here today, the steak was too bloody, I couldn't eat it even though we wanted medium plus, the service was very friendly, but also overwhelmed and had forgotten something, it was busy and the service that came to the table had to have the salad Apply it yourself to a plate at a salad buffet and this creates a canteen feeling and stress. At least that's how it was with us. It may not have been our day.

The service came quickly and friendly with the menu, the drinks, the salads, the steaks, the dessert and also the bill 😉 As a repeat offender, it wasn't my first time here and it wasn't the last time either.

The specialty of this restaurant, which is part of a chain, are meat dishes. I liked the open atmosphere with awnings. Meat quality is very good.

We were a table of five, with reservations, and got there but waited 45min for the food to arrive, meanwhile people all around us had ordered after us and got their food already and paid. When asked about our food we got different excuses each time. This was very disappointing. We had a reservation for five people and ordered our food as soon as we arrived. It took 45 minutes, and other guests who ordered after us had already received their food and were ready. We asked about our order several times and were given a different excuse each time. It was very disappointing.

Excellent food and very good service. The furniture is a little old, but still comfortable and in good condition. The avocado tartare is highly recommended as a starter. The main courses are of good quality meat and excellent preparation.

Everything was fine and everyone was super friendly… Then the waitress with long brown hair came. (Pigtail) Very pushy because we didn't order dessert and rolled our eyes. Also a hectic kind. At the end of the bill she simply added 10 euros to the tip. Even though I already gave 10 EUR. In the end I paid a tip of 20 euros. Impossible of her.

The food is tasty even if you don't eat meat. There are some good vegetarian dishes.

Block House is always a safe choice, especially for families.

One star for the free dessert. Problems: 1. Got the wrong steak: Master Cut ordered, Hereford served. Requests for an exchange were rejected by the waitress and dessert was offered on the house instead. 2. The steak was barely grilled, more like Königsberger meatballs. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside looks different (see photo). 3. The second dish (the burger) was tasteless and overpriced. 4. All dishes including salad were carelessly prepared, comparable to McDonald's (see photo). 5. I came with my wife to celebrate something. Unfortunately, it felt more like a funeral in a cafeteria. 6. We won't be coming back. Too bad about the money.

I've been there a few times. The service staff are very friendly and professional. When it comes to pricing and portion size, it is noticeable that prices have risen significantly since the VAT increase! The portion size has also been reduced. If we had been more hungry, we would have had to order something else. You can visit, but not as often anymore. There are many alternatives in Zehlendorf that we like a little better!
