I was rudely turned away at 10:10 pm even though the kitchen doesn't close until 10:30 pm.

We received very friendly service today, and despite not being able to make a reservation in advance, we hardly had to wait. The food was delicious as usual, and the service was attentive.

Very attentive and friendly service. The food was good, but the fries didn't seem to be freshly prepared. The ambiance was exactly as I remember it from 20 years ago – just 20-year-old interior now.

One of the best steakhouses I've had since arriving in Berlin. The price isn't too expensive, but the meat quality is truly excellent. A 12oz ribeye steak with a baked yogurt potato and either a salad or soup costs €36, which isn't cheap but not expensive either. The buttered bread served with the steak was incredibly fragrant and delicious. We ordered the onion soup, but it wasn't the French style where the onions are caramelized and dissolved into the soup; it was just soup with onions, not very good, and I wouldn't recommend it. They also offer many children's meal options, but don't expect too much from the taste. Desserts are also a highlight. Their Austrian apple pie is excellent. We ordered three scoops of ice cream; the strawberry one was delicious and had a fruity flavor; the vanilla one was strange and not recommended, with a strong vanilla extract taste; the chocolate one was excellent, with chocolate chips and a very rich texture, highly recommended. Overall, the desserts are strong. The restaurant is incredibly popular; you have to wait in line on weekends. In summary, it's a great option for festive gatherings.

I had tartare, steak, onion soup, and carpaccio. Everything was delicious. There was also an English menu. The two waiters who served me were very nice, which can't be said about the disgruntled woman at the entrance. I took off one star for that, but overall, she didn't manage to ruin my mood, and I hope others will too.

This is an enjoyable location and our preferred dining place whenever we visit Berlin. The food is excellent, reasonably priced, the service is commendable and the atmosphere is relaxed. Kudos

Very friendly and attentive staff, very fast service.❤️ Since I always eat and drink the same things, I don't even have to look at the menu for long anymore. 🤭 I usually go to Block House branches in major cities in Germany alone and without a reservation. Therefore, I usually sit at the bar or counter area, which personally doesn't bother me at all. 😉 On the contrary: I find it quite exciting to experience the hustle and bustle. 🤣

We've rarely been ripped off like we were here... After requesting a table reservation by phone, we were told we could just drop by at 6:00 PM, and then it would work out. We arrived at 6:00 PM. There were already six couples ahead of us at the door waiting to be let in. A couple in front of us told us it was normal to have to wait at least 30 minutes. After waiting 15 minutes, nothing happened, and we were really annoyed. If the lady on the phone had told us we had to stand in line and wait 30 minutes, we would have come earlier. We wanted to go to an event afterwards that started at 8:00 PM. We then went to Peter Pane next door, where we got a table right away and had a good meal. We just left our €75 there. Apparently, Blockhaus doesn't need that anymore. At least our first wedding anniversary was saved.

Well, anything less wouldn't have been good, and the waitresses were almost cheeky. It was borderline.

Everything was excellent: the steak was on point, the carpaccio was delicious. The lava cake was also premium. Unfortunately, the restrooms weren't up to the standard of the restaurant.

We didn't have a reservation, but we still got a table right away. But there were only two of us. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Everything we ordered came quickly and was of good quality. The prices are a bit high, of course, but the quality matches the price! The decor is understated, classic block house style.

Excellent food and great prices. Everything is delicious and hot, and the service is kind and fast. The dish comes with salad and potatoes, a huge, delicious and crispy steak, and even a type of garlic bread. Highly recommended. An excellent chain. I would go back there again.

The best Blockhouse in Berlin, along with the one at Alexanderplatz (there are definitely differences in quality between the branches in Berlin, it always depends on the chef). The steaks were excellent, grilled to perfection (we ordered medium rare, as good steaks should be). The salads were crisp, and the service was top-notch. We were there at lunch, and it wasn't very busy, but they still took great care of us. Simply a wonderful experience. We went back to the restaurant late in the evening, so it was very quiet. We were very hungry and were not disappointed; we even forgot to take pictures of everything because we were so hungry. The service was friendly and very quick. I opted for the Norwegian salmon, and my companion put together a menu from the side dishes. Everything was very fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. There was no need to add any seasoning, so it gets 5/5. All in all, you can spend a few pleasant hours there in this beautiful setting. Highly recommended

We had a reservation for 8:00 PM, but arrived at 8:05 PM due to a delay. Once inside, we had to wait until the owner could assign us a table. They kept us waiting for 10 minutes, and we were standing in the middle of the restaurant. We then wisely walked away and had a delicious meal at Peter Pane. I say, don't go there!

The fillet Mignon was cooked exactly to my order and was very enjoyable. The 160g was big enough for me. The garden salad came out first and was fresh and light. There was a potato in its jacket with my meal and a lovely piece of toasted bun. I would recommend this steak house.

Overall, a good steakhouse, nothing fancy. Grass-fed steaks. As for the food, the vegetable salad is wonderful in its simplicity, there are several dressing options. The carpaccio looks sad, the tat-tar is not a delight. The steaks are a 4-. Overall, it's edible, the kids liked it, the portions are generous.

I'm fairly sure our food was forgotten. We waited a good hour. The daughter's meat was cooked so thoroughly that it was dry. My rump steak was medium, rather rare, hence the suspicion that it was forgotten. The waiter went completely overboard with his tip - just add €5 more - that's not acceptable - unfortunately, I only noticed it outside.

It was recommended to us at the reception desk of the Melia Hotel, just a stone's throw away, and they weren't wrong. It's highly recommended. The place has a pleasant, cozy decor, and the food is well-prepared and delicious. Very good service and they're quite understanding about the language barrier. If you're in the Friedrichstrasse area, I highly recommend this place.

The Block House on Friedrichstrasse is well located and offers an alternative to the fast-food joints in the area. Unlike other steakhouses and restaurants that call themselves that, you always get consistent, good quality here at a reasonable price. If the lunch menu were a bit more appealing, we would definitely come more often. The service is fast, the food arrived in a very short time, and everything was delicious. I had lunch at Block House on July 26th, alone. The staff were very kind and understood my limited English. The meat was delicious; I chose the "Mrs." menu, which included a salad as an entree, 180g of excellent meat, their specialty, seasoned and warmed bread, and a potato with an excellent sauce.

We spontaneously popped into the Block House Friedrichstraße 40 minutes before the show, with an appetizer, of course. We didn't make it to the main course, but the service was extremely accommodating and held the steaks until after the cabaret. Very professional and CONFIDENT. Thanks to the relaxed service with cool management. That's Berlin. Shoutout to the kitchen, the meat was AMAZING!

The best Block House I've ever been to. Great location, cozy restaurant, fast service, and the food was excellent. I had the turkey steaks, a salad, and dessert. I really can't complain. It's not a bargain, of course, but the quality was just right.

Very old-fashioned, with a rigid concept that's just sitting on its feet. Loud, charmless service. The food was okay, but nothing more. Doesn't meet today's quality standards when it comes to meat, at least not in its preparation. Medium was just a little short of well done. The burger was completely dead. No animal should have to die for something like that. A waste of money.

We were served quickly and the children were very friendly. They have plenty of tables, with just enough space between them, but you can still have a good conversation. The menu items are delicious, and they have a decent lunch menu. The prices are medium-high, and I think the medallions are a bit low for the price. They have Block House ketchup, which we found to be very tasty.

Very friendly waitress recommended us the "Black Lightning" french fries and wow, possibly the best fries I've ever eaten. The other foods like New York Style Cheeseburger and Salmon Fillet are quite nice as well! Time to getting served I would say is acceptable considering that almost no tables are ever empty. Might be a bit loud at times tho.

Classic steakhouse food. If you're in the mood for it, it's just what you need. Very tasty salad. Very tasty meat. My friend didn't like her sauce; it was a bit too salty. They kindly removed the sauce from her bill (she returned the jug full), a very accommodating gesture.
