ADDITION 01/17/2025 My child came home with MEAT POISONING after eating a "children's steak" and vomited the entire night. That was really the last time there! How can something like that be? at children's dinner! and he didn't eat anything else that day that could have been spoiled. LOWEST MEDIUM Salad with “crispy” duck breast.. after asking the friendly service, ordered medium raw. Salad was carelessly prepared, duck breast was well-done and skin was soft/sloppy. ask for crispy duck, the same piece of meat comes back burnt - half eaten, leave the rest. disgusting. Ordered an invoice - charged the full price, despite the complaint. Then you pay and go somewhere else. one star for the Cote du Rhone; )

Oh yes! Great meat! We enjoyed it very much and our waiter was great! Super attentive, polite and just a lovely evening!

Very fast service and very good food.

Not really recommended! There is less and less food on the plate. The garlic baguette is only the size of a small half roll. The gram information given for the meat and how you want the meat to be burned through doesn't seem to be taken quite correctly anymore. And the dessert of Belgian waffles with around 4-6 hot cherries rounds things off. The quality has really left something to be desired in all Block House branches in Berlin for some time now.

As a regular customer of the Block House chain, I am very disappointed with how the innkeeper here at this location treats the customers. She is very unprofessional, treats customers disrespectfully, is very rude and thinks she is something better. Doesn't listen to you either or is too ashamed to answer and looks down on you. I'm just shocked because I'm used to completely different service from the Block House chain. We will never show up here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to, there are plenty of other and more professional locations in Berlin.

Als Stammkunde bei der Block House Kette bin ich sehr enttäuscht darüber wie die Gastwirtin hier in diesem Standort die Kunden behandelt. Sie ist sehr unprofessionell, behandelt die Kunden respektlos, ist sehr unhöflich und denkt sie wäre etwas besseres. Hört einem auch nicht zu bzw. ist sich zu schade zum antworten und schaut auf einen herab. Ich bin gerade schockiert, weil ich von der Kette Block House ganz anderen Service gewohnt bin. Wir werden hier nie wieder aufkreuzen und raten es auch jedem ab der es vor hat, es gibt genug andere und professionellere Standorte in Berlin.

As my husband says 🚹 the food has a constant taste... so it's always been the same good over the years... as I don't eat meat, I was satisfied with salad and fries 🍟... I wanted the fries nice and crispy... it didn't work out... sad that the table was very dirty right when it opened... waiter very nice and accommodating... it's not mine... it was well attended so it doesn't seem to be bad

We took the lunch special (100g hip steak with baked potato and chili beans, followed by a salad), the price is really unbeatable for around 12.90! But it wouldn't be enough for those who eat a lot and like more meat?! It was definitely enough for me and I can recommend it ^^ But what I personally enjoyed most and was extremely fresh was the salad; I could actually have eaten it on its own as a main course! The baked potato/baked potato with quark was very good, the potato was nice and big and the taste was really amazing! The sirloin steak (medium) was also quite ok, but I've actually eaten better meat ^^ Overall, I can only recommend the lunch offer with a clear conscience ;)

Pure disappointment. You notice that there is no competition nearby, otherwise you wouldn't be able to drive this "concept" anymore. Extremely overpriced. The dish in the picture costs 16(!) euros, you won't get enough of these 2x 10 cm turkey steaks. The fries seemed to have been drowned in the deep fryer and were so greasy that none of us wanted to eat them. The beef broth, according to the menu with meat, contained ONE small 0.5cm piece of meat. There used to be at least a piece of bread with the onion soup, but that was also removed from the menu. Although the menu says that there is “house-made” burger bread, I think you could still mention that it is classic garlic bread (then you could at least leave it up to the guest whether they want the burger in this version anyway takes or not). The service was perfectly fine and the food was served quickly, and the children were also looked after nicely (coloring templates and toys). Nevertheless we will not come back here.

The food and drinks are very good. The service is also very good. The restaurant is very busy, unfortunately reservations were not possible.

Cheap and poor quality young bull meat -Perfectly rare fried, but toe without end...I won't come back. Dab of potato gratin a joke, but passable.

The steak is amazing every time. What's particularly good is that the waiting time in this branch is not that long.

I've been a Blockhouse regular for years. However, it was my first time in this branch. Ordered rib eye and rump steak. The ribeye smelled and tasted like feces.. really shocking. ..I've never experienced anything like that before. The waitress then said that the animal was probably under a lot of stress (which didn't really improve my appetite), the rump steak was tough, the potato wasn't as usual. Then we ordered everything again, but somehow the appetite was gone. The second ribeye was ok, the second rump steak wasn't any better. In the end I complained about everything that had happened... but no solution was offered. I won't come back.

Update January 19, 2025 Today we went to the restaurant again spontaneously and were served in a friendly manner. I remembered the bruschetta being a little spicier, but it was ok. The main course was an American tenderloin. with salad and baked potatoes. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back. 🙂 - - - - - - After being ignored at the entrance for 5 minutes, we left. If there is already a sign saying: You will be placed, you should at least notice the guests at the door.

We got a table without a reservation. The staff was very polite and attentive. The food came very quickly and was delicious. The price-performance ratio was very good. Suitable for wheelchair users. The wheelchair accessible toilet was on the same floor as the normal toilets were downstairs.

The service here is outstanding. We didn't have a reservation and had to wait 15 minutes to get a table. The gentleman at reception was extremely personable, even when he took our order, as the service staff was currently very busy. Our food was really delicious. Fresh salad, excellent T-bone, delicious lamb and for me as a vegan (sometimes vegetarian) person it was ginger-carrot soup, salad and delicious vegetables. Only the alcoholic wheat wasn't that great in terms of taste.

An unfriendly, brisk waitress initially greeted us unfriendly with the words that she still had to prepare the table, even though we had been advised to use that table. We ate a rack of lamb (very tender and good) and a rump steak (very tough and rather unreasonable). We were then told that rump steak is never tender and that you have to order fillet. Real? We just have to cross this blockhouse off our personal map. Thanks.

The portions of the dishes are small by Argentine customs, but they are very tasty. The desserts too.

Went there before Christmas to get a voucher. The atmosphere was great and the two ladies (Claudia, the 2nd person unknown) were very, very polite. I'm already looking forward to eating there and giving it 5 stars for the food. Merry Christmas everyone.

Positive: friendly and attentive staff, very good food at a high standard, pleasant and cozy atmosphere Neutral: Furnishings are getting old, the toilets could be checked every now and then to keep them clean. Negative: I think it's a shame that the savings are made here.

It was very nice on site and the salad was very tasty. Service was problem-free and the food arrived quickly and without errors. The New York Cheeseburger was ok but I would actually like it better as a burger. The other steaks were very tasty.

Unfortunately, the best thing was the salad, the most expensive steak was a letdown 35 € for a t bone about 2cm thick. I guess it was more like 350 grams than 500 grams, unfortunately not recommended for someone who expects a good piece of meat, rather McDonalds of the steak culture

Definitely my favorite steakhouse in the city. Great meat prepared on the grill by professionals... you can watch it... if you want. The prices are completely ok considering the quality. Every steak comes with a fat baked potato with a fresh one Salad.You are warmly welcomed and served quickly. The staff has hardly changed over the years...! The atmosphere is wonderfully cozy and dignified. Absolute recommendation!!

Well, I'm a regular customer at Block House, but otherwise I'm always on Friedrichstrasse. It wasn't good here before but we thought we'd give them a second chance. Unfortunately, eating cold steak and fries was in vain. Cold steak tastes like fat when it's cold. Fries, well. The waitress didn't even ask if it was tasty. When paying, the amount was entered into the machine without saying a word. It's a shame because it's ruining the reputation of this branch.

They can serve a delicious steak.. yum fried to perfection but missing some sauce. Starter salad a bit boring. The room lacked a bit of coziness and the sound acoustics were really bad, you couldn't hear what each other was saying when everyone else was talking.

Food was good, but drinks were absolutely overpriced. A rhubarb spritzer was an impressive €6.90.

Nothing has been done to the interior for years. The salad was unwashed, wilted or red in many places and very carelessly prepared. The steak comes with 1 baked potato. Just slapped on the plate, there's no other way to describe it. We have a different idea of ​​good food, as we paid between €29 - €32 per meal (excluding drinks and starter or dessert) We won't be coming back!!

We were there last Wednesday around 12:45 p.m. Unfortunately, lunch could no longer be ordered at this point. This is very annoying. When is lunchtime please? The waitress forgot about us several times. We have actually always been satisfied so far. This time it wasn't a nice visit and unfortunately a bit loveless. The fitness pan was really good: crunchy vegetables, juicy strips of beef – simply delicious! There was only a small misunderstanding with the teriyaki pepper cream sauce. Rahm was probably on a diet because unfortunately he didn't show up. 😄 All in all, the food was great, but the cream was probably free. No drama, hopefully next time!

We were there with our two children (5 & 1). The older one had something to color in and the little ones had the food they brought with them warmed up in the microwave. The food came quickly (children's menu was brought a little earlier - very good) and the steaks were as ordered.

Delicious food 😋 but portions far too small for the prevailing price level 😐 I actually left hungry.

We ate as a family at the Block House on Saturday evening and were unfortunately completely disappointed in several respects. First we were seated by an older lady, based on her clothing I would assume she was working as a supervisor that evening. Here you could already feel the lady's displeasure about our visit, which was probably too late (8 p.m.). A little later the lady took our order, but unfortunately we completely lost our desire for this meal. Our son, 7 years old, wanted a burger, there is a kids menu for €7 with fries and a burger. When we asked if we could put a slice of cheese there because our son would like to eat a cheeseburger, we got the more than stroppy answer: "No, we don't do that here!" Well, we then ordered a New York cheeseburger for 17 €, no problem, €10 more for a dish that a child will 100% not eat, just to get a slice of cheese. The starter included a cold goulash soup and unfortunately the rest of the meal wasn't as usual this time either. Greetings to the older lady, working is easier and faster with a smile!

The style is Fast food but expensive. There is no creativity in the decoration of the plates and the variety of products on a plate are poor. For €25 I had a simple piece of meat, French fries, and a piece of bread and two tablespoons of salad and a small glass of artificial passion fruit juice. I don't think it's worth it at all. You eat healthier and with more flavor and gastronomic personality in a neighborhood Kebab.

If you have a block house around the corner and you don't feel like cooking, but you want to eat a protein-rich and simple diet, it's probably not a bad choice. The service is very attentive and friendly. The quality of the fillet was also great. Still, the reason I go is crucial. Because of the already high price level, if I wanted to have a great dinner, I would choose another restaurant. You can do this if you're hungry quickly with good quality meat.

By the way, we had to bring our food in alone because we sat outside first and it started to rain. We wanted to drink some wine and eat dessert after dinner...it wasn't possible. It's extremely hot in the store, disgusting. After we criticized this condition while clearing away...as if by magic, ventilation suddenly became active.

Ambiance inside like in the 80s which is great, the feeling outside is missing! You should be able to choose the supplements entirely yourself. Green beans would be great on offer too! Unfortunately, the taste memory of EARLIER in the block was not comparable! But if you appreciate a good piece of meat, this is the place for you!

Had dinner at BlockHouse today for my birthday. Eating was a pleasure. The service lady on the terrace was a very nice and helpful employee who always saw immediately when we had a request on our lips. The meat was perfectly fried and at the end the dessert was just melting. It was a very nice evening and anyone who appreciates good food also knows that it costs something. Unfortunately I had to deduct a star for the ambience because the knives for the steak were not sharp and the table lamp that was placed on the table when it got dark was very dusty and had hair on it. Without having booked a table and despite it being full, we were offered an option that we gladly took. Food TOP, prices... well TOP... it's just beef and not from a discounter. So if you want to eat a good steak, you've come to the right place. Maybe next time we will pre-book a table😅

You could also call the Blockhouse Kittys bullettenschniede. Eigl. That's a good name, but what we said was really rude. Service NOT good. Food was bad considering it was a steakhouse. So not a second time. Too bad for that. Unfortunately, NOTHING special anymore.

I ordered 2x Caesar salad to pick up today. The lady on the phone was more than nice. However, what we got for €30 was subpar. The Caesar salad comes without chicken, which must be ordered separately. We paid a fortune for a few leaves of iceberg lettuce with sauce here.

Came here one house before it closed and they said we could not enter although people where still coming in, called their phone line the whole day to book a table and get food to go but was Soo disappointed by their behavior, will definitely only keep going to the one in Alexandra plaza because it was way nicer and better stuff, I never pull the racist card but was very violating.

Unfortunately I wasn't asked how I wanted my meat and I forgot to say it in the hustle and bustle. ' So a more than rare tenderloin (€44) arrived, and it was laced with tendons. I'm very picky when it comes to animal products. It was also very loud and it was a shop that was too full of tables. (Yes, I know, the money has to be collected.) But if it comes at the expense of comfort, I don't think it's that good.

We occasionally eat lunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately you have to be there very early, otherwise there are usually no lunch options available. For the money a lunch menu costs, the food is good. We've had good bad experiences in other Blockhaus branches for the full price, which is why we only go there at lunchtime.

O atendimento é péssimo. A senhora que fica no caixa, em frente à entrada, atende com extrema má vontade. Levantamos da mesa e fomos embora. Do outro lado da rua, quase em frente, tem um restaurante alemão bem melhor, Alpenwirt.

Cracking meal. Steak was cooked superb and nice sides. Beer was good, though not much choice, went for the wheat beer, was a good choice. Ill eat here again for sure. Staff were great too. Realised I was English so brought out an English menu, although I was happy to try reading the German that was a nice touch. Looks like they do takeaway too. What a time to be alive. On the whole I would encourage anyone to drop in for their evening meal. You wont be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the fillet steak wasn't very tender even though we ordered it English. For €90 for 2 people we expected better.

Everything was very hectic overall, meat was not medium done but hard as the sole of a shoe. The portion was so small that it was simply no longer justified for the price. You should also think about ordering new cups (see photo) a Coke Zero 0.33 now costs over 4 euros... Then at least from a nicer glass?

Delicious food, good service, but there is absolutely no air - the air conditioners don’t work, there’s nothing to breathe. A restaurant with these prices should think about it.

Unfortunately we had to let the steak go back twice because it was either cold or not done to the desired degree. Otherwise the food was very tasty.

Lugar agradable para parar para almorzar. Camarera de habla inglesa era amable. La ensalada y el salmón carpaccio eran fantásticos. El ojo de costilla era bueno, pero este corte en particular tenía algunas partes más rígidas de lo que estoy acostumbrado o el cuchillo era opaco. Aun así, estaba muy contento con ello.

We've eaten at this restaurant a few times, mostly for birthdays like today. Unfortunately the food today was rather mediocre. Which meant that my plate of “Mr. Rumpsteak” went back again. It was exchanged without any problems but that's not the point of it. The steak wasn't as ordered, more of a shoe sole but the "baked potato" was just disgusting. It is served with peel, just a classic baked potato. This was so shriveled and shrunken that it was difficult to cut, but the potato itself was not edible. It was so cooked, it was actually mashed potatoes. When exchanging information with the waitress, it was clear that the food was going back but she couldn't exchange the potato because everyone in the kitchen was like that, was her statement. Mmh, ok then just 2x bread. The second steak was very good and came fresh from the pan, you could tell from the meat. There are 3 stars for the ambience because nothing has changed in the last few years.

Wir waren seit längerer Zeit wieder mal im Block-House. Leider war das Ergebnis sehr enttäuschend und ich muss mich den schlechten Bewertungen leider anschließen. Das Rib-Eye-Mastercut-Steak war zwar medium gebraten, aber trotzdem zäh und relativ geschmacksneutral. Röstaromen vom Grill und der typische Fleischgeschmack waren kaum bemerkbar. Bei einem Preis von 33€ hätte ich da mehr erwartet. Die nach der Menükarte entbeinten und kross gebratenen Hähnchenoberkeulen hatten eine eigenartige Konsistenz. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die "vorgekocht oder gedämpft" waren und dann "an der Pfanne vor beigetragen" wurden. Von kross keine Spur. Also insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschender Abend. Hier wird wohl offenbar mit den ggf. guten Produkten in der Küche schludrig umgegangen.

Friendly operation/service, very good food, what more could you want, I can only recommend it.
