The service was great. We really enjoyed the food, but the price was a bit extreme for me.

The fitness pan was really good: crunchy vegetables, juicy strips of beef – simply delicious! There was only a small misunderstanding with the teriyaki pepper cream sauce. Rahm was probably on a diet because unfortunately he didn't show up. 😄 All in all, the food was great, but the cream was probably free. No drama, hopefully next time!

We were there with our two children (5 & 1). The older one had something to color in and the little ones had the food they brought with them warmed up in the microwave. The food came quickly (children's menu was brought a little earlier - very good) and the steaks were as ordered.

Delicious food 😋 but portions far too small for the prevailing price level 😐 I actually left hungry.

We ate as a family at the Block House on Saturday evening and were unfortunately completely disappointed in several respects. First we were seated by an older lady, based on her clothing I would assume she was working as a supervisor that evening. Here you could already feel the lady's displeasure about our visit, which was probably too late (8 p.m.). A little later the lady took our order, but unfortunately we completely lost our desire for this meal. Our son, 7 years old, wanted a burger, there is a kids menu for €7 with fries and a burger. When we asked if we could put a slice of cheese there because our son would like to eat a cheeseburger, we got the more than stroppy answer: "No, we don't do that here!" Well, we then ordered a New York cheeseburger for 17 €, no problem, €10 more for a dish that a child will 100% not eat, just to get a slice of cheese. The starter included a cold goulash soup and unfortunately the rest of the meal wasn't as usual this time either. Greetings to the older lady, working is easier and faster with a smile!

The style is Fast food but expensive. There is no creativity in the decoration of the plates and the variety of products on a plate are poor. For €25 I had a simple piece of meat, French fries, and a piece of bread and two tablespoons of salad and a small glass of artificial passion fruit juice. I don't think it's worth it at all. You eat healthier and with more flavor and gastronomic personality in a neighborhood Kebab.

If you have a block house around the corner and you don't feel like cooking, but you want to eat a protein-rich and simple diet, it's probably not a bad choice. The service is very attentive and friendly. The quality of the fillet was also great. Still, the reason I go is crucial. Because of the already high price level, if I wanted to have a great dinner, I would choose another restaurant. You can do this if you're hungry quickly with good quality meat.

By the way, we had to bring our food in alone because we sat outside first and it started to rain. We wanted to drink some wine and eat dessert after dinner...it wasn't possible. It's extremely hot in the store, disgusting. After we criticized this condition while clearing away...as if by magic, ventilation suddenly became active.

Had dinner at BlockHouse today for my birthday. Eating was a pleasure. The service lady on the terrace was a very nice and helpful employee who always saw immediately when we had a request on our lips. The meat was perfectly fried and at the end the dessert was just melting. It was a very nice evening and anyone who appreciates good food also knows that it costs something. Unfortunately I had to deduct a star for the ambience because the knives for the steak were not sharp and the table lamp that was placed on the table when it got dark was very dusty and had hair on it. Ambiance inside like in the 80s which is great, the feeling outside is missing! You should be able to choose the supplements entirely yourself. Green beans would be great on offer too! Unfortunately, the taste memory of EARLIER in the block was not comparable! But if you appreciate a good piece of meat, this is the place for you!

Without having booked a table and despite it being full, we were offered an option that we gladly took. Food TOP, prices... well TOP... it's just beef and not from a discounter. So if you want to eat a good steak, you've come to the right place. Maybe next time we will pre-book a table😅

You could also call the Blockhouse Kittys bullettenschniede. Eigl. That's a good name, but what we said was really rude. Service NOT good. Food was bad considering it was a steakhouse. So not a second time. Too bad for that. Unfortunately, NOTHING special anymore.

I ordered 2x Caesar salad to pick up today. The lady on the phone was more than nice. However, what we got for €30 was subpar. The Caesar salad comes without chicken, which must be ordered separately. We paid a fortune for a few leaves of iceberg lettuce with sauce here.

Came here one house before it closed and they said we could not enter although people where still coming in, called their phone line the whole day to book a table and get food to go but was Soo disappointed by their behavior, will definitely only keep going to the one in Alexandra plaza because it was way nicer and better stuff, I never pull the racist card but was very violating.

Super delicious food and super friendly service.

Unfortunately I wasn't asked how I wanted my meat and I forgot to say it in the hustle and bustle. ' So a more than rare tenderloin (€44) arrived, and it was laced with tendons. I'm very picky when it comes to animal products. It was also very loud and it was a shop that was too full of tables. (Yes, I know, the money has to be collected.) But if it comes at the expense of comfort, I don't think it's that good.

We occasionally eat lunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately you have to be there very early, otherwise there are usually no lunch options available. For the money a lunch menu costs, the food is good. We've had good bad experiences in other Blockhaus branches for the full price, which is why we only go there at lunchtime.

Good ambience, the lunch menu, as far as you can find the menu, is ok in terms of price, otherwise the portions are getting smaller, more expensive and not better

O atendimento é péssimo. A senhora que fica no caixa, em frente à entrada, atende com extrema má vontade. Levantamos da mesa e fomos embora. Do outro lado da rua, quase em frente, tem um restaurante alemão bem melhor, Alpenwirt.

The food was delicious, the service was extremely courteous and the restaurant felt like it had the cleanest toilet in all of Berlin

Cracking meal. Steak was cooked superb and nice sides. Beer was good, though not much choice, went for the wheat beer, was a good choice. Ill eat here again for sure. Staff were great too. Realised I was English so brought out an English menu, although I was happy to try reading the German that was a nice touch. Looks like they do takeaway too. What a time to be alive. On the whole I would encourage anyone to drop in for their evening meal. You wont be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the fillet steak wasn't very tender even though we ordered it English. For €90 for 2 people we expected better.

Everything was very hectic overall, meat was not medium done but hard as the sole of a shoe. The portion was so small that it was simply no longer justified for the price. You should also think about ordering new cups (see photo) a Coke Zero 0.33 now costs over 4 euros... Then at least from a nicer glass?

Delicious food, good service, but there is absolutely no air - the air conditioners don’t work, there’s nothing to breathe. A restaurant with these prices should think about it.

Unfortunately we had to let the steak go back twice because it was either cold or not done to the desired degree. Otherwise the food was very tasty.

Enjoyable place to stop for lunch. English speaking waitress was friendly. Salad and salmon carpaccio were fantastic. The ribeye was good, but this particular cut either had some stringier parts than I am used to or the knife was dull. Still, I was quite happy with it.

The food was very tasty, the staff friendly and attentive. Every visit is a pleasure. And the food is always equally good. If you sit in the back area, there are a lot of loud noises coming from the kitchen, which is sometimes annoying. But that's complaining at a high level

Mr. Rumpsteak and Cheeseburger New York found satisfied buyers today. The price was reasonable, the service was quick, friendly and unobtrusive. If it wasn't so far away from the Ruhr area, I would come more often.

Great garden terrace, green, cozy atmosphere, great place for events, food and drinks, great offers, thank you, I'm there regularly, keep it up.

We've eaten at this restaurant a few times, mostly for birthdays like today. Unfortunately the food today was rather mediocre. Which meant that my plate of “Mr. Rumpsteak” went back again. It was exchanged without any problems but that's not the point of it. The steak wasn't as ordered, more of a shoe sole but the "baked potato" was just disgusting. It is served with peel, just a classic baked potato. This was so shriveled and shrunken that it was difficult to cut, but the potato itself was not edible. It was so cooked, it was actually mashed potatoes. When exchanging information with the waitress, it was clear that the food was going back but she couldn't exchange the potato because everyone in the kitchen was like that, was her statement. Mmh, ok then just 2x bread. The second steak was very good and came fresh from the pan, you could tell from the meat. There are 3 stars for the ambience because nothing has changed in the last few years.

Wir waren seit längerer Zeit wieder mal im Block-House. Leider war das Ergebnis sehr enttäuschend und ich muss mich den schlechten Bewertungen leider anschließen. Das Rib-Eye-Mastercut-Steak war zwar medium gebraten, aber trotzdem zäh und relativ geschmacksneutral. Röstaromen vom Grill und der typische Fleischgeschmack waren kaum bemerkbar. Bei einem Preis von 33€ hätte ich da mehr erwartet. Die nach der Menükarte entbeinten und kross gebratenen Hähnchenoberkeulen hatten eine eigenartige Konsistenz. Wir hatten den Eindruck, dass die "vorgekocht oder gedämpft" waren und dann "an der Pfanne vor beigetragen" wurden. Von kross keine Spur. Also insgesamt ein sehr enttäuschender Abend. Hier wird wohl offenbar mit den ggf. guten Produkten in der Küche schludrig umgegangen.

I ordered a rump steak English and received it on a warm plate, thank you. The small salad plate was very tasty with a dressing of your choice. The prices are too high.

We celebrated birthday here and it did not disappoint. Very good steak, great service and lovely ambiance, plus reasonable price.

During the week you can also get a place without prior reservation. Very good steaks and salads. Very good service and great ambience. If you like steaks, this is the place for you.

Steak was better medium at the Alex, meat appeared to be thawed.... Service was very attentive, but not very present after 8 p.m.... I had to make myself known several times to get the bill... I would prefer the Alex.

We were there on June 5th, 2024 at 7 p.m. and had reserved. It was okay, but unfortunately not necessarily worth a second visit. It's just a steakhouse, nothing special. It would have been nice if the plates had been presented a little more attractively. However, the taste was great.

The garlic bread was soggy and didn't taste or look anything like what you can buy at the department store. We have been eating there as a family for many years. Unfortunately my meal was similar to a children's portion and for €25.00, I was a bit disappointed. I treated myself to a small dessert, which was delicious. The service was nice, but the atmosphere has always been the same. All in all, good 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars from me

There are certainly steakhouses in Berlin that offer even “better” or “more exclusive” meat... and in terms of price, as in all situations, there are certainly no limits. But if you rely on consistent and always reliable quality, Block House is the right place for you. The service is first class - nice and friendly, accommodating and not intrusive. If the glasses are empty, you will be asked discreetly and unobtrusively if you would like to order anything else; the waiting times are more than acceptable even at peak times. The food is still TOP for my taste. The focus, as you might expect, is clearly on steaks and meat in all variations. Nevertheless, young people are also fed up with vegetarian food, as there is also something on offer for this population group. In principle, however, it is permissible to ask why vegetarians or vegans should get lost in a meat paradise...but everyone has to decide that for themselves. Everyone has to answer the crucial question about the price-performance ratio for themselves. For me it's not a daily restaurant, the prices are too high for that. Everyone has to know for themselves what fits their values. For example, on our last visit we paid €224 for 5 people with 3 starters, 4 glasses of wine, 6 soft drinks, 1 tea, 5 main courses and 4 desserts, which works out to around €45 per person. To be honest: you can eat much worse in Berlin and in less quantity for more money. Nevertheless, it can be said that a normal eater can be full with one main course, but the concept is clearly aimed at starter, main course and dessert - but then you are really "full" and don't even need it for the next few hours a snack. The ambience is typical of Block House: salad bar freely visible, open kitchen and cozy seating areas. If you value special chic or any antique wall paintings, you've come to the wrong place. For me a successful mix of feel-good atmosphere and practicality. As self-confessed meat lovers (sorry dear veggie friends) and connoisseurs of such unusual visits for us, we will definitely be back.

There is an inexpensive lunch menu from Monday to Friday. Changing daily. We recommend.

We were in this restaurant for the last time today. We have been guests here for many years, when the restaurant was called something different, but there was already a Mrs. Höller back then. It's a shame that people like you will soon no longer be found in the catering industry, especially in this restaurant. Where were you today? Enjoy your early retirement, Ms. Höller! Now to our visit today, which began underground as soon as we entered the restaurant. No greeting, Hello and Happy Easter, obviously foreign words. There were four service staff at the counter who were visibly overwhelmed by guests entering and felt disrupted in their conversation. Finally the Asian waitress shouted at us from the counter - PLEASE??? At least this word was known. Yes, what did we actually want in this restaurant? Yes, that's right - eat, enjoy and relax, After we made fun of this poor service among ourselves, the food was very pleasant, as always of very good quality, our thanks go to the kitchen. Apart from the nice service staff's gossip about guests like us. The good meal was over at some point and the farewell was like the greeting, terrible, there was no farewell! Just unbelievable! We wish these great service staff all the best, we won't see you again! Stay healthy and continue to have a safe job for you!

We would describe ourselves as regulars. On the last two visits we were bothered by the unfriendly staff and long waiting times. The food is still great.

I ate at their branches in both Stuttgart and Berlin, the meat is great, the service is very fast, the employees are friendly, everyone I took with me liked it.

We were there for dinner yesterday. It was an absolutely subterranean experience. The lady at the entrance was pretty rude and unfriendly. We thought things could only get better, but we were probably too happy. After 15 minutes the waitress finally came and was completely overwhelmed from the start. The drinks came after another 10 minutes. The food came relatively quickly, but the salad that was included in the dish was missing. The meat was okay, but not the burner. Absolutely carelessly prepared and without any seasoning. The dressing didn't help with the salad either, because everything tasted like nothing. The fresh horseradish on my steak was dry and didn't taste like anything, it wasn't even spicy. Everything was just disappointing in this restaurant. I don't know anything like that from other block houses. Finally, I would like to say that you are treated more friendly and, above all, with proper service at almost every kebab stall in Berlin. I think there is a need for action in this restaurant, mainly in terms of service.

The waitress (in her mid-40s) was really pissed (today) because after waiting 30 minutes she took the desert menu on her own. Totally unqualified service for a steakhouse with such a reputation. I will never go here again.

Atmosphere feels like in classical german Kneipe :) So nice!! :) Service was just brilliant, exactly in time, not too annoying, super friendly. Bruschetta was okay, but not outstanding Tartar was to my taste a little bit too boring, meta flavor was pretty plain and also cut was really too tiny, like minced meat made with electrical blender, also toppings were a bit boring to my taste. Don't take me wrong - quality was goos but tartar is my favorite dish so i always very picky :) But fillet Mignon was really fantastic!!! Probably the best is a long time! I like it rare and it was exactly perfect! Very good :)

Every time I go to Germany, I make a block house. They cook the meat perfectly. I love their delicious garlic bread and potatoes with Garlic sauce.

Our service person Susanna was very friendly, courteous and charming. There were four of us there and it was agreed that way. Friday evening it was full and therefore acoustically intense, the drinks came quickly, as did the food. The prices are reasonable, my chicken is juicy and the rosé wine is tasty. It was a nice evening :)

After being ignored at the entrance for 5 minutes, we left. If there is already a sign saying: You will be placed, you should at least notice the guests at the door.

Block House consistently good. Classic atmosphere and you know you're getting good meat. Prices ok. I thought the extremely cheap regional water was great! Our son always feels very comfortable. There is something to paint. A varied children's menu and a gift at the end. Really great! I found the bruschetta a bit soggy and the bread cold. Otherwise great!

Let's start with the best part: the service staff is a dream and the lady served us perfectly - very rare these days. The food was good as always, the ambience could be improved a bit, but it still has its charm...

I ordered the steak and it was really chewy, i was disappointed with the presentation of the food and the proportions, I was given a good amount of garlic bread, then a decently sized steak but a small amount of chips and a tiny scope of coleslaw, for the price of 20€ I would of expected more, and everything felt like it was just dumbed on top of each other, we was also charged 4€ for water witch is way to much 😐, I wouldn’t come back again 😭

We really enjoy coming here. Top marketing - there is always a gift for the child - making it their favorite restaurant. And the gifts seem to change every week? So far she has always received other things. Also very useful things like a bicycle light or craft scissors. Child happy - parents too.
