Mega great restaurant! I really like coming here for the Frankfurter Schnitzel because it's the only restaurant I know where I can get eggs with the schnitzel😋. I think that's great! And of course the food tastes very delicious! The service is super nice, there is a great selection of cocktails and a great ambience, a well-rounded affair👌 Definitely recommended!
Terrible service! There were plenty of free tables on a Tuesday, but a grumpy restaurant employee decided, at her own discretion, to seat us (two people) in a dark corner.
I tried to sit at one of the better tables, but she told us not to. A strange approach and no customer service at all.
The lady's tone also left a lot to be desired—no friendliness at all. The restaurant owners should seriously consider this.
Not recommended.
We recently stayed at this hotel. Anna greeted us warmly at reception and showed us our room. It was pleasant and clean.
But first things first: you certainly won't be able to sleep here! This is the bonus hinted at in the hotel's name: not just 24 hours without sleep, but 25! Now that's innovative!
Unfortunately, Anna didn't inform us that the management is using every opportunity to squeeze as much money out of the property as possible, and therefore operates an open-air disco in the hotel courtyard from 10 p.m. onwards.
It opens its "doors" around 10 p.m., and despite earplugs and closed, modern, but apparently not soundproof windows of questionable manufacture, there was no escape:
Just before dozing off, which in certain cases might still be possible (you must have at least 4-5 beers or something similar), the music was repeatedly turned up briefly as a reminder that you will NOT be allowed to sleep here!
After I visited the reception around 1:30 a.m.,
Anna was unfortunately no longer there, the equally friendly colleague was understanding of our situation and gave us another room.
When I asked how long the disco in the courtyard was open, I was grudgingly told that it went on until at least 3:30 a.m. or 3:30 a.m.
The next employee in the morning had no knowledge of any of this, and therefore there was no discount or anything similar.
So: if you'd like to have a completely different experience and spend money on a sleepless stay, go ahead, the management would be delighted :-)
NOTE:
Many thanks to the manager for the friendly feedback!
However, as you can read in other reviews,
the loud disco in the courtyard hasn't just been going on since our visit (with sometimes questionable excuses: "This is a lifestyle hotel..." and similar nonsense),
so unfortunately, I don't think I would want to stay there again, because I want to stay in a hotel (which usually means sleeping).
It's a real shame, because the location was good and the amenities were very nice!
Best regards.
He visitado aquí 3 veces ahora.
The boss argues with Chinese people why they don't tip. If a German pays the bill without a tip, the boss thanks him with a smile.
It is the innkeeper's right to demand tips as a service provider. Whether the customer tips or not and in what amount is the customer's right. Don't be embarrassed if the bill is paid without a tip. In this case, the innkeeper would still have the chance to politely ask if the customer is unhappy with the food or service and why. Simply accusing the customer of not knowing German culture is an impertinence.
The fact that the store treats German and Chinese customers differently when it comes to tipping has already been discussed several times in Chinese forums. We should really be ashamed of this discriminatory behavior.
Basically, I am always a positive reviewer.
The last time I was at this restaurant was before COVID.
Since then, however, they have completely changed the menu.
In my opinion, price-performance is no longer as good as it used to be.
But that may well be a matter of taste.
Review for Meyer’s Restaurant in Frankfurt:
Last Saturday I was in Frankfurt with my friends and we spontaneously decided to visit Meyer's Restaurant - we didn't have a reservation. Since it was a sunny day, we initially wanted to sit outside as there were still seats available. Unfortunately, we received an unfriendly welcome and the waiter told us without further explanation that we should look for a seat inside.
Once inside we were greeted warmly by another waiter. He offered us free bread and brought us the menu card. Since we weren't very hungry, we decided to just order dessert.
However, our impression worsened when another waiter, who served us afterwards, simply took the bread from the table without saying a word. This rude and arrogant manner made us feel uncomfortable.
In addition, we found the prices to be extremely overpriced. Given the very mixed service and high prices, the overall experience was disappointing. Based on our experience, we would unfortunately not recommend Meyer’s Restaurant.
We had our X-Mas company event with 30+ people in Franco's tischlein*. It was great & all wishes were fulfilled. Pleasant atmosphere, nice ambience, delicious food, good selection of drinks. We were all in good hands and felt comfortable here. This is thanks in particular to the attentive and relaxed service despite the hustle and bustle. Big praise!
I also really enjoy coming here privately
It was my 4th day in Frankfurt and I tried the Haxen dish that I had only heard about. Since it was open after 5pm, I went for dinner. The pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If I hadn't tried it, I would have regretted it for a long time. I heard that the portions were large, but I only ordered one serving even though I went with my wife (the owner also welcomed me with a bright smile) and ordered two glasses of wheat beer. It was a really delicious dinner. The wheat beer was also delicious. Haxen was 18.5 and two glasses of wheat beer were 10. The total was 28.5 euros, but I paid with a 10% tip. It was the best value for money. I highly recommend it.
Les salades étaient délicieuses, le service très rapide. Dommage que les frites ne soient pas faites maison. C'est un peu cher. Un ventilateur n'aurait pas été de trop en période de canicule. Je recommande.
