The food and service are fantastic. Orders are taken exclusively via tray, which worked perfectly. The duck and the dim sum were absolutely amazing! I highly recommend it. Reservations are recommended.

The food was delicious, but ordering via QR code is still a nightmare for me. The Peking duck was superb, although the pricing was rather imaginative.

We were very disappointed with the food. We ordered the spicy chicken twice and the Thai iced tea. The food tasted very artificial, like it came from a supermarket, and the Thai iced tea was extremely sweet syrup and therefore barely edible. My partner didn't even touch her food or drink. When the server cleared the table, we pointed out that we hadn't enjoyed the food or drinks at all. Unfortunately, we weren't offered anything else, and they simply charged us, which I find very regrettable, especially considering the price. It wouldn't have been a problem to offer something different. I work in the restaurant industry myself, and my policy is that if a guest is dissatisfied with their food, I either remove the dish from the bill or offer a replacement. As an apology, she said she brought us two fortune cookies. But you always get those. Very rude. We had a much better experience on our first visit. We'll have to go to a different restaurant now…

- Unfortunately, the dough for the Har Gao stuck to the bamboo steamer and fell apart, which is a deal-breaker for dim sum. The filling was also disappointing; the shrimp tasted overcooked. - The Kung Pao Chicken was neither sweet nor sour and was prepared with broccoli and mushrooms, resulting in tough chicken breast. Chop Suey would be a more fitting name. - The Mapo Tofu contained neither Sichuan peppercorns nor red fermented bean paste, which are the essence of the dish. - Kung Pao Chicken and Mapo Tofu are common Chinese dishes that should be quite easy for a cook to prepare. - We had to wait quite a while between the dim sum and the main courses. - Overall, disappointing and especially not recommended for Chinese people or connoisseurs, as it wasn't even remotely authentic. If I hadn't been with anyone, I would have left after the dim sum. Addendum: - Thank you for your feedback. Why do you offer dishes that appear to be Szechuan but taste nothing like them and whose recipes are completely different? If you order a beef sausage, you don't get a bratwurst, do you? - That's true, you shouldn't expect authentic dishes. I didn't either. But basic ingredients were missing. I've certainly eaten mapo tofu, for example, in Cantonese restaurants and was satisfied. - I only finished my meal out of politeness because I was with a companion and didn't want to make a scene. - The point was that the dishes, unfortunately, are not worth the price. Of course, I paid the full amount. Yes, it's absurd that I had to pay 18 euros for a simple chop suey with raw peanuts just sprinkled on top. - Perhaps the restaurant should try to live up to its self-proclaimed "Dim Sum Perfection" instead of invalidating customer reviews.

Not only was the food incredibly delicious, but the service was fantastic as well. You can tell that the staff genuinely enjoy being hosts and want to offer guests a warm and exceptional experience. The concept of being able to conveniently place orders using trays is also incredibly efficient. And yet, the personal touch isn't lost. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone! ☺️❤️

Back again Restaurant + We were there in October 2025 + Chinese (Cantonese) Restaurant - The half Peking duck (enough for 2 people) was fantastic and probably unbeatable in taste, paper-thin crispy skin and tender meat - The Peking duck was carved right at the table by the certified world champion duck carver - It came with paper-thin pancakes, hoisin sauce, and vegetables (the Peking duck was in stock and didn't need to be pre-ordered). Everything was very well seasoned and the portions were ample - Beforehand, we had a Chinese cucumber salad, which you can only find in China, very delicious - There are many typical Chinese dishes to choose from, especially the homemade specialties of the house, such as dim sum - Chinese ambiance in the form of pictures on the walls - Service was always very friendly and fast - The food and drink menu in German is available Delivered in tablet form, which takes some getting used to and didn't work smoothly. - Clean restrooms - Reservations are highly recommended for evenings, as the restaurant is usually busy; a special app with a reminder function is available. - Relatively cramped dining area - High noise level in the restaurant - Authentic dishes (many Chinese dine here) - Wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages - Cash or card payments accepted - Good value for money - Restaurant is highly recommended

I absolutely loved this place. We found China Restaurant Yung while looking for a good dinner spot nearby, and as someone who enjoys Chinese food — especially Cantonese cuisine — I was very impressed. Everything we tried was delicious and authentically flavored: the fried eggplant, fried noodles, and of course, the dim sum mix were all excellent. The interior is simple and functional, not flashy — just like many truly good restaurants in China, where the focus is on the taste and authenticity of the food. The service was warm and friendly, and overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I highly question the rating showed in goggle map. All the 4.4+ rating restaurants I visited in Europe were not as bad as this one. The service was good, waitresses were patient (12:40pm, only had 3 tables of customers) and friendly. I ordered nearly all kinds of Dim Sums, sour-spicy soup, KongBau Tofu and Peking roasted duck. None of them were above average, except the duck-- was just okay. The foods' taste and quality were just not good and not authentic (definitely not higher than 4 stars). The roasted duck was not better than the other Chinese restaurants you can eat every where in Germany and it cost 90 euro, though it included the price for the chef slicing the duck meat, and they just kept entire duck after slicing the skin and little meat. Only good was the drinks. The restaurant was very disappointing. I definitely will not go again. We spent 189 euro for 5 people. Not worth it and not recommended!

Where did the people with the 5-star rating actually eat? Not here. The menu ordering system combined with the complete service is unbeatable. Just right for the Nordend clientele.

We had Cantonese duck, which was good and I recommend it if you like it. The portion was much too small for €30. The staff was very friendly, and ordering via the tablet was very convenient and worked very well.

Had a duck that was filleted at the table. It tasted great. Service was very attentive. Unfortunately, the place was very noisy.

We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation. Relaxed, fun atmosphere and a beautiful restaurant. The host is charming and gives a great explanation of the menu if needed. Takeaway was prepared quickly. Very interesting presentation of duck, and a whole chicken was served and cut professionally, everything was delicious and a very positive experience. We will definitely be back again

My partner and I took a dumpling cooking class last week, followed by Peking duck (included in the cooking class package). It was a wonderful evening. We had a lot of fun cooking, and the hosts were super friendly and very engaging, so we had a truly wonderful experience. The Peking duck, which was served with side dishes after the cooking class, was also delicious.

Actually I was forced to pay a tip when I paid the bill, but before I ordered my food nobody tells me about. The tip is not an obligation in DE , also the portion of food is really under average. But we paid over average. BTW the Peking duck isn’t cooked in a traditional way.

I had cucumber salad and dumplings on the outdoor terrace. All very tasty and refreshing. Prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is known for its Peking duck. Several guests around me ordered it. Both the preparation and the duck looked very good. The owner of the restaurant is also very friendly.

I took the dim sum course. It was great. The food and atmosphere were fantastic. What I would have also liked would have been a dim sum certificate.

Really tasty home-made dim sum. The portion size is very good and the quality of the ingredients and preparation were excellent. I grew up in a chinese household and I can vouch for the authentic flavours! The owner was extremely friendly and staff very forthcoming. I will come here again to try the peking duck!

The Yung family prepared a special Sunday lunch for us. The mixed dim sum was a delight, each flavor delicately seasoned. The highlight was the Peking duck, carved live by the chef in record time, which was very entertaining. The crispy duck skin and the meat wrapped in pancakes tasted incredibly delicious. Everything I ate was delicious. The Peking duck was served in two portions, the skin and the meat. The meat was very tender and even though I was full I couldn't stop eating. I thought it was very convenient that you can order on a tablet or by scanning a code you can order on your phone. You can see pictures of all the dishes so you won't get something you didn't expect. The drinks were served quickly and it was delicious, easy-to-enjoy authentic Chinese food. I'd definitely like to visit again.

The food was really good, especially the duck, but the dumplings also left nothing to be desired. Unfortunately, the service was very unprofessional. A main course was only brought to the table after four requests, even though everyone had already finished eating. A side dish for the duck was also only brought to the table after several requests. And then they tell you that's common practice in China. Hahaha. At these prices, I expect professional service. Therefore, I wouldn't necessarily recommend the restaurant.

We had a fantastic evening at the dim sum cooking class yesterday. The restaurant owner and her team were super nice and organized and designed everything so well. We had a lot of fun. Highly recommended 👍

2* for the location and the XLB. Otherwise the food is expensive for what you get. The dimsum is not homemade. One of the female staff is extremely rude. When she brought us the iPad so we could order our food, she simply threw it on our table without saying a word. Afterwards when I asked for the bill, I did not tip her because of her behavior. She took the money and didn’t even say thank you, and gave us dirty stares. When we left, she didn’t even respond to our goodbye. Would not recommend and will not return.

You'd think they earned the 5 stars. Unfortunately, there were waits... due to kitchen backlogs. Because everything is freshly prepared there. So, no frozen items; if there's a shortage, they prepare them from scratch. Admittedly, we made a spontaneous reservation for nine people, so I understand the situation. Nevertheless, the staff were understanding of the long wait and managed us well, with a nice ending. The food was very good and the price-performance ratio was quite acceptable for 2025. The only thing that caught my attention was the Wangtan soup... The pepper was really powerful... at least my nose was clear :)

They advertise homemade dim sum, but those in my order (char sui and xiao long bao) were from a factory, and not even a good one. That's lie number two. Lie number one was when I arrived and the old lady serving me directed me to a table, then changed her mind on realising I was alone and said that the kitchen was closed. This was one hour before closing time, with plenty of free seats. But before I could leave a different waiter saw me and directed me to a table, where I was before long served my low-grade dim sum. Avoid this place.

The duck, the duck, the duck! Absolutely outstanding — truly the star of the menu. While the other dishes didn’t leave a strong impression, the duck was exceptionally well prepared and worth every cent. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but at least you’re paying for real quality. The owner was welcoming, and genuinely attentive — a lovely touch that added to the experience.

The boss argues with Chinese people why they don't tip. If a German pays the bill without a tip, the boss thanks him with a smile. It is the innkeeper's right to demand tips as a service provider. Whether the customer tips or not and in what amount is the customer's right. Don't be embarrassed if the bill is paid without a tip. In this case, the innkeeper would still have the chance to politely ask if the customer is unhappy with the food or service and why. Simply accusing the customer of not knowing German culture is an impertinence. The fact that the store treats German and Chinese customers differently when it comes to tipping has already been discussed several times in Chinese forums. We should really be ashamed of this discriminatory behavior.

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt welcome. The service was not only attentive, but also exceptionally friendly! About the food: Simply great! The two of us had the Peking duck. The duck was very tasty – crispy, tender and full of flavour. The side dishes and sauces were also excellent. You can immediately tell that the food here is cooked with love and high quality. The atmosphere is cozy. We felt incredibly comfortable and enjoyed every moment. Conclusion: An absolute must for all lovers of Chinese cuisine!

Dumplings were ok, duck was a disaster, simply dry, even the legs were dry, show was ok with carving but in the end it's the taste that counts and we're not happy. Sorry

Walked past it 1000 times and never went in. Thought one of many Chinese restaurants. Oh no, we were wrong. Small shop with lots of tables. The service, owner and everyone else are very pleasant and try very hard. Now to eat. There's Chinese and there's Mr. Yung. Everything but really everything was simply delicious. I had to order the steamed/fried rolls with beef twice, they are addictive. The Peking duck was very good, I don't know if it could be better. We'll definitely be back.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in Frankfurt 🤩 the dim sum is a little higher priced, but the quality is TOP. I think that many restaurants have lost quality in recent years, but here I actually think that the dim sum tastes even better than before 😋

The food was OK, but the service was very unfriendly. I could clearly see that the waitress treated us very differently than the other German guests and she specifically asked for a tip for the service she never gave us. The dim sums were quite salty for my taste, and the orange chicken was very average. In addition, the QR ordering system is very unnecessary and unpleasantly organized

We waited for an hour for our food and it wasn't much just a salad and noodle but in an hour we only got the salad and also asked what was wrong with the noodle but they said that it wasn't ready yet.

We came here with my girlfriend based on the good reviews and left with mixed feelings, but thank god the food quality was very good. Positive points: -Quality of the Peking duck was very good! -The show of cutting off the skin of the Peking duck in front of us was also very good. Neutral: -60 euros for half a Peking duck is expensive, but I say that without working in the catering industry and it is my opinion. At least the quality is good here. You won't get full with two people, but that's ok if you know that beforehand. -Atmosphere is nothing special. Negative points: -We arrived at 4pm on 03/08/2025 and the Asian waitress said "oh god more work" when she saw us. That's not possible, I'm the guest and I deserve minimal respect if I want to spend my hard-earned money. I would like to come back because of the food quality and hope that the service quality will be improved.

I went to Yung's again today after a great takeaway experience. Again I wasn't disappointed! You can easily book a table via Google, and given the limited spaces, you should. You are warmly welcomed, given a short introduction to the dishes and specialties (such as Peking duck), and then you order in a relaxed manner using a tablet. We chose (again) the sensational orange chicken, a super tasty cucumber salad, dumplings, and a noodle soup with braised beef. All of the food was really outstanding! The price is not exactly cheap, but you will also be impressed by a great package. Card payment is possible, and as a last tip: the iced tea with milk was also great!

We came from Mainz on a recommendation and enjoyed it!!! We have been working in the catering industry ourselves (have been working in the catering industry for over 35 years) and are fortunate to have had several experiences in fine dining in different countries. For us the stay was PERFECT. Modern ordering options via tablet or QR code, as well as very friendly help/clarification/support at the table from the owner. GREAT! Quality of the food is outstanding. We ordered the Peking duck menu as well as various dim sum and EVERYTHING tasted good without any problem. Tender meat, aromatic sauce, delicate dim sum and fried baozi. Price performance for Frankfurt City is absolutely fine!!! If we could...we would have wanted to try more of the delicacies...but at some point our stomach says stop. ......Too bad :-) We will definitely be back and definitely recommend it. Food was about average, however the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. I ate solo and racked up a €50 bill. When asked by the manger if I would like to leave a tip, I kindly refused. She remarked “stupid Americans” and did not say anything further. Firstly, I am European, not American, but nevertheless this service was appalling, just because I did not leave a tip! The young waitress who was observing the interaction mouthed “so sorry!” to me as I left. I have lived in Frankfurt for over 6 months and I am appalled at the service in this restaurant, I have not experienced anything like it. If you like average food and shitty service, you know where to go!

I'm impressed with their dish and cleanliness

My girlfriend and I had a great evening with good food. A few dim sums as a starter, half the duck in the menu as a main course and mochi as dessert. The service was very friendly, even though the restaurant no longer had any free tables. And that on a Wednesday evening. Speaks for itself :) We became aware of the restaurant through Instagram - the duck was highly praised here. And we weren't disappointed! It is also a nice experience to see the duck being carved at the table. The skin was 1a. I had never eaten it before. The duck meat was also nice and juicy. I also think the ordering system via the tablet is brilliant. Drinks sometimes arrived 1-2 minutes after ordering. Thank you for the good food!

Frankfurt's best address for dumplings and Peking duck. Both excellent, tasty and always prepared with fresh ingredients. There is also an extensive daily menu with constantly changing specialties. Authentic and flavourful Canton food from a Hong Kong family. There are a lot of dishes to choose from. The Peking Duck is definitely a highlight with the crispy skin. The soups come with what we called genuine ingredients in Chinese - original and nourishing. The chicken is tender and soft. Great service and nice environment. Suitable for gatherings.

We reserved a table via the website without any problem. We actually wanted to eat there a year ago. Even then we made reservations without any problems. But that day the electricity was turned off for 2 hours due to road work in Oeder Weg. The restaurant informed us personally, in a very polite manner, in good time that we could not come today. Then we saw Mr. Chikei Yung in HR, doing his world record, and so we remembered him again. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Yung that evening. He showed us our place and we were instructed in the tray ordering system by a very friendly employee. As a starter there was delicious dim sum in 3 different versions. The main course was sweet and sour pork and char siu. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. Mr. Yung also took the time to talk to us. Here too I have to say he is a very fine person. We will definitely come back!!!

I had such a great experience at the chinese restaurant Yung! The staff were very helpful in recommending the tastiest dishes. My personal highlights were definitely the char siu bao and har gow, the thoughts of the bbq flavour and soft white bao and the soft delicate texture of the har gow makes me salivate again. The service was very quick and the food were all very fresh and hot, i would recommend to book a table beforehand as they do get busy very quickly

I went to this Cantonese restaurant with my friends and we had a great evening. The atmosphere was authentic and the food was fantastic! Chicken feet, dim sum and char siu bao were a particular highlight – everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We were also impressed by the dessert: the homemade mochi was a dream! The staff was very friendly and gave us wonderful advice, so we were able to try out many new specialties. A must for anyone who appreciates Cantonese cuisine. We'll definitely be back!

To be honest, I don't understand the good reviews. The restaurant advertises that it serves the best Peking duck, cut by what is said to be the fastest Peking duck carver. We had ordered a Peking duck menu and had to wait a very long time for our food, despite repeated requests. We could only eat the skin of the Peking duck in the traditional style; the duck meat came with some vegetables drowned in a sauce as a second course. Well, that's what it said on the menu. But I think charging 110 euros for that is a bit excessive (and I'm used to Frankfurt prices), especially since there was only rice and no soup, which is usually made from the duck carcass with radish and served with it. A lot of show for a lot of money with medium quality. It gives me the impression of a place for tourists who don't know their way around. There were also no Chinese guests present, which is usually an indicator of a lack of authenticity in the food.

Anyone who appreciates the diversity and authenticity of Cantonese cuisine should definitely visit the Chinese Restaurant Yung. My visit there was an absolute culinary highlight, especially because of the first-class dim sum that is served here. The dim sum selection at Yung Chinese Restaurant is impressive and prepared with the utmost care. Each dish was a little work of art - from tender dumplings with perfectly seasoned fillings to crispy dumplings that were golden on the outside and deliciously juicy on the inside. The ingredients tasted fresh and the flavors were beautifully balanced, just as they should be. I would particularly like to highlight the Har Gow (prawn dumplings), which were so tender and flavorful that you simply have to try them. The service was equally excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly and makes you feel welcome from the first moment. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and stylish, just the right mix to both relax and spend a special evening. For all lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine - and especially dim sum - the China Restaurant Yung is an absolute recommendation. I will definitely come back to try my way through the menu! Five stars are absolutely deserved here.

One of the best Chinese dining experiences I have ever had outside of China! Absolutely loved the food. Did not try the duck yet (next time!), but the dim sum were amazing.

Waited over 35 minutes for a middday dish Nudel soup with Shiitake & Tofu. For 14 Euro received a bunch of rice Nudel in plain hot water without any spice or seasoning with two dry mushrooms 1 piece of brocoli 1 peace of chop soy a bunch of bland dried up and cold fried tofu cubes st least day old which i could not even chew! ! Adding soy sauce from the bottle on the table didn't help. It is shameful to call it a soup! Even a 50 cent instant Asian soup has more taste to it than this one!

Warning: Here, the German tipping culture is viewed as an obligation and this means that tipping is insisted on in a rude manner. Since the owner (see his answers to similar comments) obviously misinterprets the tipping culture in Germany, I'll explain a little. Tipping in Germany is fairly common, but not comparable to the tipping culture in the USA. In the USA, tips are usually given despite poor service. In Germany, however, tips are voluntary on the part of the customer, provided they were satisfied with the service. Even if in theory the service was A++ with an asterisk, not giving a tip (in Germany) is completely acceptable, even if this admittedly looks a bit strange. But still, as mentioned, completely fine! Waitresses and waiters are - again unlike the USA - not dependent on tips, as there is a legal minimum wage in Germany. If employees in the catering sector still rely on tips, this is a clear indication of underpayment. In short: Passing on the responsibility for paying your own employees fairly to the customer and legitimizing it with the (voluntary!) tipping culture in Germany is an interesting narrative that the owner represents, but which I will not support any further.

Very nice, authentic restaurant

All the waitresses were very nice, especially the boss was very accommodating and personable. The food is also very good, especially dim sum and the legendary Peking duck, which is cut at the table. Overall very good!!

The food is like an experience. The boss takes very empathetic care of every guest, regardless of whether it is their first time there or a regular guest. The recommendations mentioned were perfect. The flagship dishes are the steamed dumplings and the Peking duck. The duck is filleted at the table and served accordingly. An experience in terms of taste, not typical Chinese cuisine, but new tastes that have not been adapted to European tastes. The boss tells you that right before you order. It was a dream. Recommended for every fan of Asian cuisine. We had the classic dim sum mix, xiao long bao, stuffed yoazi, siumai and the Peking duck in the menu. We were here on our wedding day and will make it a tradition because it was simply sensational for us. Greetings to the kitchen and thank you for the culinary experience! I really liked the restaurant. We had baos and the Peking duck menu. Simply pure enjoyment. The business owner is a true carving professional and really nice. His sister is well versed in dim sums. A family business that you shouldn't miss if you want to eat Chinese and are in Frankfurt. I would go again!

Wir waren gestern zum wiederholten Mal in dem Restaurant, wie immer sehr freundliche Begrüßung, toller Service und sehr, sehr gutes Essen(superbe Dim Sum, Peking Ente). Wir hatten vor acht Wochen ein ähnliches Menü in London, dort in einem Restaurant, was gemäß einer britischen Zeitung die beste Peking Ente serviert. Ehrlicherweise haben wir gestern bei Young besser gegessen. Die Show beim tranchieren der Pickingente ist ein extra Pinkt wert.

I can especially highly recommend the Dim Sum cooking course. Great event - also as a company event! The course is very well organized, you learn a lot and it's really fun. The two who run the cooking course are very personable and provide individual assistance. I think it's particularly nice that the recipes are made available for you to cook at home.

We ate the Peking duck. An experience for all senses! The dumplings were also sensational, service on a tray, takes some getting used to for old-fashioned people, can only recommend Yung!!

After eating dim sum here a few times (by far the best in the city!!!!), I recently took part in the dim sum cooking class. Absolutely recommended!! We were greeted with a starter and an aperitif and then we got to work. All steps were carefully explained, including various techniques for folding or closing the dim sum. Not only did we try our two identically prepared Dim Sum varieties (there were plenty on site and everyone could pack a few for home), but we also ate the super delicious Peking duck and finished off by making mochi ourselves!

We didn't make a reservation but still found a place. Great, innovative ordering system, food really delicious. If it's full, you wait a bit. But it's definitely worth it. We'd love to come back!!

We were here for a cooking evening and learned to make our own dim sum and mochi. It was a lot of fun, the owners were really accommodating, friendly and were motivating even when the participants lacked dough-folding talent. 😄 We went home very full and with new recipe ideas. I can really recommend the cooking course!

The food itself is very good... ordering from a tray, even though the waiter is standing next to it, takes some getting used to. Extra requests such as the order of the dishes cannot be entered, so one person got 3 dishes at once, while the other two had to wait a long time. It was also very loud, the room is very small. However, the world champion's dissection of the Peking duck was very impressive.
