Ein koreanisches Restaurant am Fluss.

13.03.26 Ich war direkt nach der Mittagsöffnung dort und habe ohne Reservierung an einem Tisch mit Blick auf den Fluss Platz genommen. Ich bestellte Jeyuk-Bokkeum (scharf gebratenes Schweinefleisch) und es schmeckte genauso wie in einem koreanischen Restaurant. Es war eines der besten Jeyuk-Bokkeum, die ich je in einem koreanischen Restaurant in Frankfurt gegessen habe. Es war sehr schön glänzend. Da die Würzung allerdings etwas salzig war, hätte ich mir etwas mehr Salat dazu gewünscht. ^^ Das Mittagessen kostet ab 14 Euro. Jeyuk-Bokkeum kostet 15 Euro!

Fantastisches koreanisches BBQ zu sehr günstigen Preisen.

Das Essen bei Gang Na Ru ist unglaublich frisch, voller Geschmack und wirkt sehr authentisch. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Herz gekocht wird. Für mich eines der besten Restaurants in Frankfurt, wenn man etwas Besonderes essen will.

Von den koreanischen Restaurants in der Umgebung Frankfurts ist GangNaRu eins meiner Lieblinge. Das Essen ist herausragend lecker, egal ob traditionelle Gerichte, Tischgrill oder Fried Chicken. Es schmeckt mega authentisch und der Service ist freundlich. Wir kommen schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder hier her. Die Location ist ungewöhnlich, aber hat dadurch ihren besonderen Charme und einen schönen Blick auf den Main. Wenn man vor Allem authentisches koreanisches Essen sucht, ist der Ort ein "Must Try".

Gut besuchtes Lokal mit viele koreanische Gäste. Hat uns auf jeden Fall gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich. Das Restaurant ist sehr geräumig. Hier kann man gut mit einer großen Gruppe Essen gehen.

Ich war am Wochenende dort. Es ist ein köstliches koreanisches Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre :) Da es Wochenende war, war der koreanische Besitzer vielleicht nicht da, aber die Bedienung war freundlich, und das Essen kam relativ schnell. Der Geschmack war sehr ähnlich wie in Korea, aber die Portion war etwas enttäuschend... Sie wirkte etwas klein. Das gekochte Schweinefleisch war ähnlich, aber das Sundae Gukbap war nur etwa halb so groß wie ein großer Topf für 19 Euro. Es war nicht einmal kochend heiß, und noch wichtiger: Das Dadaegi (scharfer Reiskuchen) war etwas zu süß. Wenn Sie also Sundae Gukbap bestellen möchten, empfehle ich Ihnen, das Dadaegi wegzulassen. Schade eigentlich... Trotzdem waren die Suppe selbst, das gekochte Schweinefleisch, das Tteokbokki und die anderen Beilagen köstlich, sodass ich mit einem nostalgischen Gefühl ging :)

Durch die Google-Rezensionen sind wir auf dieses Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Als wir ankamen, fragten wir uns bereits vor dem Gebäude: Wollen wir das wirklich? Wir gingen dann die Treppen hinauf und betraten das Restaurant durch eine Plastiktür – sehr merkwürdig und gewöhnungsbedürftig. Auch die Einrichtung erinnerte eher an ein Ostblock-Ambiente, aber vielleicht ist das ja authentischer, als man denkt. Die Bedienung war sehr höflich und nett. Die Speisekarte dagegen war ziemlich verwirrend. Das Essen war interessant und teilweise völlig neu für uns. Wir waren nicht enttäuscht, das Restaurant besucht zu haben. Geht hin und macht eure eigenen Erfahrungen – in jeder Hinsicht.

Das GangNaRu ist ein super sympathischer Laden. Die Einrichtung ist total runtergerockt - der Service und das Personal sind nicht wirklich professionell organisiert (im Hinblick auf gastronomische Maßstäbe). Dennoch werden diese Defizite durch die wirklich herzliche Gastfreundschaft wettgemacht. Wir haben 4 Gerichte bestellt und mussten fast 45 min darauf warten. Das Essen war dann aber absolut köstlich und authentisch koreanisch. Side Dishes und koreanischer Tee waren inklusive. Wer authentische koreanische Küche mag, sollte dieses Restaurant unbedingt ausprobieren!

Das Personal war sehr freundlich, leider war der Service an unserem Besuchstag etwas unaufmerksam. Wir mussten mehrfach nach Getränken fragen, was den Gesamteindruck etwas getrübt hat. Das Essen war geschmacklich gut und frisch. In Anbetracht der Preise empfand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis jedoch nicht passend. (17 € für zwei Hühnchenteile, kleine Schüssel Reis 2€)

Für mich eins der besten und authentischsten koreanischen Restaurants in Frankfurt. Ja, es mag sein, dass die Räumlichkeitenetwas schlicht sind. 5 Sterne weil 1) das Essen mega lecker schmeckt 3) der Service gut ist 3) das Preisleistungsverhältnis definitiv stimmt!

Authentisches koreanisches Restaurant, gutes BBQ, geräumig, etwas teuer, aber gute Fleischstücke, die À-la-carte-Gerichte sind allerdings teuer (z. B. koreanischer Pfannkuchen für 20 Euro!).

Ich habe meine Schwiegereltern, die zu Besuch in Deutschland waren, zum Essen eingeladen. Alle waren vom langen Flug erschöpft, aber dank der warmen Suppe fühlten sie sich danach erfrischt!

Authentic Korean cuisine. Very good value for money. They also offer Korean BBQ, where you can grill your ordered meat right at your table. The restaurant is located right on the river, so if the weather's nice, you can also plan a stroll. We come back again and again.

We went to the Korean BBQ and were absolutely thrilled! The food was incredibly delicious, the quality of the meat was very, very good, and the side dishes, especially the kimchi, were top-notch. The service was super friendly, attentive, and really well-served us. Everything went quickly and smoothly. The restaurant has a very authentic decor, and you immediately notice that it's authentic, also because many Koreans eat there. That's exactly what makes the atmosphere so special. The prices are also really reasonable. For two people, we got a BBQ platter with shrimp, drinks, and three side dishes each, and ended up paying around €80. Absolutely fair for the quality. A quick tip: Don't be put off by the building; it might seem a bit unusual, as it also houses a rowing club. Inside, the quality and authentic experience are completely convincing. Conclusion: Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back!

On my last day in Germany, they filled in what I was missing. Even in Korea, they deserve to be called a Korean restaurant. And they were very friendly.

This restaurant charges more on Sundays than normal days. You have to pay 3-5 euros more for each set meal. Free water is not served on Sundays. You have to pay for additional side dishes. The dolsot bibimbap was strange and tasted bad.

The side dishes were delicious, the bibimbap was healthy, and the gopchang jjigae broth was rich and delicious. The reasonable price, spacious dining area, and ample parking made it easy to drive. The aisles were wide and there were high chairs, making it convenient even with a baby. If you mention it when making your reservation, they'll provide baby dishes. Unfortunately, there's no elevator, so you'll have to carry a stroller upstairs, and there doesn't seem to be a changing table, which was a bit disappointing.

The servers were friendly and the food was great! However, it was a bit hard to find the entrance because it was located on the second floor. It would have been nice if there were signs. There was also a slightly unpleasant smell when going up to the entrance, but if they could just manage that, it would be great.

No matter what menu you order, everything tastes good. To be honest, I don't know about the side dishes... And other places usually open for dinner at 18:00, but this place opens a little early, so I like it.

Six basic side dishes are provided. But only one meal per 4 people. Whether there are 2 or 4 people, 6 are the same. Unless you're a family member, who in this world eats side dishes together these days?! It's really old style. Even if we want to eat side dishes, we are considerate of each other and end up leaving it all behind. To be honest, I'm not leaving it because the side dish doesn't taste good, but I'm not eating it because I don't like chopsticks getting mixed up. Since people leave a lot of side dishes, the restaurant doesn't even provide any more side dishes, probably because they think there will be leftovers even if they give them away. The food tastes just… It's just like the Korean restaurants in Germany. The amount is small. I really regret it. It's been a while since I went, but I still use a pepper shaker that is a year past its expiration date. Pepper already has a long shelf life, but the fact that a year has already passed is... really... speechless. The food is not tasty and the side dishes are not tasty either.

GangNaRu has long since become my go-to place when it comes to good Korean food. I come regularly for lunch - the food is always fresh and tasty, and there is free tea with the menu. The restaurant is lovingly run by a family and you immediately feel welcome. The ambience is rather simple, but for me that is of secondary importance - taste counts here. I was there with friends in the evening and everyone was thrilled - especially the Korean BBQ. Another real insider tip that definitely deserves more attention!

GangNaRu is hands down one of the best spots for Korean food near Frankfurt. Every dish we’ve tried has been excellent, and we’ve recommended it to all our friends. The Kimchi Jjigae is my personal favorite — I order it almost every time, and it never disappoints. Even though it’s about a 45-minute drive for us, my wife and I come often because the food is consistently outstanding. Located within a rowing club facility, GangNaRu has a relaxed, diner-style feel. If you’re craving authentic Korean cuisine, it’s absolutely worth the trip.

The premises are located directly on the Main above a sports club. Super friendly welcome and service. The dishes were super tasty and the portions were large. The price/performance ratio is still right here. We paid €57 with drinks, starters and main course. We'll definitely come back. I couldn't give all the stars for the atmosphere, but that's a good thing. It's all very simple, but that's how it should be and fits in with authentic cuisine. See you again soon.

This is a large Korean restaurant located on the riverside near downtown Frankfurt. The parking lot is spacious and convenient. The a la carte menu is delicious and there is also a grill where you can grill meat in Korean style.

(I ordered cold noodles with spicy beef stew) The friends I ate with were not Korean) They are Yukgaejang lovers, I commented that the clear Yukgaejang was normal, but the broth tasted like soybean paste, which was a little strange. Very tasty food & super friendly staff

Very nice staff who give lots of tips and help. We had barbecue and seafood pancakes and mandu dumplings and the beef soup. Everything has an event character. But if you want to get your fill, you'd better go 150 meters further to the golden wok :-)

Went here by chance and can only recommend the store. Very nice staff, good food and good portions. My friend and I are bigger men and therefore ordered and ate something well. We ate for just over €100 for two and are definitely well prepared for our journey home to Leipzig Thanks for the good food, if we lived nearby we would be there more often!

If you want authentic and relatively affordable Korean food in Frankfurt, then you have to do it at Gangnaru. The restaurant is a family business and it shows. We eat like at home with mom and are served with care. Unlike other restaurants, the Banchan never has anything to do with it, I know that differently. We particularly recommend the Tangsuyuk, which is still a mystery to me. Kimchi Jeon is always great, you can't find it crispier anywhere. Another highlight is the brown rice, instead of the standard white. Gangnaru is simply DIFFERENT.

My absolute favorite restaurant when it comes to Korean cuisine. I highly recommend the Jajangmyeon and the Bibimbap. ❤️ The service robot is also an eye-catcher, I've never seen anything like it in Germany. 😅

Today I visited the Korean restaurant and was unfortunately disappointed. The food was good, but the prices were just way too high for what was on offer. Three small pieces of pork belly for 32 euros are overpriced in my opinion. In addition, you also have to pay an extra 1 euro to refill the side dishes, which are usually free in Korean restaurants. For the price I would have expected much more, both in terms of portion size and service. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the restaurant and will not come back in the future.

The restaurant is on the first floor of the rowing club. Many plants divide the large space and make the atmosphere friendly - As well as the attentive and friendly service. The food tastes delicious and questions about spiciness and composition are answered competently. We will be back.

There are many traditional Korean dishes that taste quite authentic. There is also a modern robot that brings the food. It's definitely a recommendation for anyone who likes Korean food ;)

The food was very tasty and surprisingly good. The service was very nice and helped with the selection and recommended the perfect dishes to us. The restaurant is designed quite cool.

The meat has become a lot more expensive and the quality has decreased. To do this, you must not set the grill to “high”, otherwise the unfriendly service will come and turn the grill level down. As a result, the meat didn't cook properly and we always had to "secretly" raise the grill higher, but this was quickly noticed and then we intervened again.

The quality of this store’s sundae soup is not good. The inside of the sundae is separated, making it difficult to recognize its shape. Improvement is needed. The price of 15 euros is unbelievably expensive. And before, we didn't charge extra for side dishes, but now we have to pay extra.

I heard that the Korean food in Frankfurt was delicious, so I rushed there from Geneva with high expectations, but I was very disappointed. In sundae soup, the sundae is all loose and you can't tell its shape. Only the internal organs are visible. The best sundae soup in Europe is Sambuja in Paris. When making real sundae soup, you have to add the sundae at the end to prevent it from dissolving. It feels like the basics are lacking. The beef stew was also so-so. The ttukbaegi bulgogi was the best.

Meine erste Erfahrung mit koreanischen Essen war in diesem Restaurant ein wirklicher Volltreffer. Eine umfangreiche Karte lockt mit mir meist unbekannten Gerichten. Die Chefin erklärte mir bei Rückfragen die jeweiligen Zubereitungen und empfahl mir eines der Gerichte. Zusammen mit den Vorspeisen in kleinen Schälchen gereicht ist das Essen ausserordentlich vielfältig, viel Gemüse, pikante Sossen und damit ein geschmackliches Gesamtkunstwerk. Ich war zu dieser Zeit der einzige nicht asiatische Gast. Was für eine authentische Küche spricht und nicht gegen das Lokal. Wer einmal was wirklich besonderes verkosten will wird sich im Gang Na Ru wohlfühlen. Preislich war es ebenfalls völlig ok.

It's a shame to see that Gangnaru is now going the way of many Korean BBQ restaurants and combining price increases/stagnation with extremely reduced portion sizes. We have been here many times in the last year and have always been impressed by the quality as well as the quantity and selection of table grills. But that has probably changed since 2024. It's understandable that a lot of things have become more expensive here and people are trying to save money, but the way it's done here is almost audacious. Two portions of meat for almost 30 euros means two smaller and one larger pieces of meat, all about the size of a palm. At every opportunity they try to squeeze out more money. The side dishes, the quantity of which has also decreased significantly, can only be refilled against payment. A no-go in my opinion at a Korean bbq. Even the pure lettuce leaves for roulades are only refilled exactly once, free of charge. All of this combined with the frozen quality of side dishes and subtly rude service, who made a face like she smelled bad every time she came to our table, make you more inclined to go to another restaurant or just grill at home. Financially it would be cheaper. The quality of the meat itself, the very friendly older lady who billed us and the very nice interior design are just the only plus points here.

Friendly, customer-oriented even when delivering!!

Eating authentically Korean food like this in Germany is not possible everywhere. Many Korean guests from other German cities even come here because it is so good!

The ambience may not be authentic, but the food is. Tasty and good price.

We were here before in 2023 and it was a great experience, but a lot has changed. We ordered table grill (€13 per portion), which requires you to order twice of the same dish. The meat for this was one portion instead of two, which means the price of €26 in total is far too much. Based on our experience last year, we expected that the side dishes and rice would be refilled. Meanwhile, with the small quantities of side dish, you only get kimchi and the pure lettuce leaves (about ½ heart of romaine) once filled up, for the rest and then you have to pay €1.50. Even if the quality has not changed and the table grill still tastes good, all in all it has become very expensive. The fact that we were not informed about the change anywhere also had a negative impact on our experience here. And the gyoza for €6 were (as far as we can tell) from mass-produced frozen goods. If you have enough money, we can recommend it (nice atmosphere and enough portions will fill you up), but we won't eat here again.

It's 2024 and customer satisfaction is not their motto. Two portions (Korean BBQ, you are forced to take two of the same type) cannot satisfy three people. It looked easy for one person. The prices in this regard are also a disgrace. A portion, depending on the type of meat, costs between 13 and 25 euros. You expect much more than a small portion. Side dishes of all kinds are charged extra. Who charges extra for pure lettuce leaves? The employees aren't exactly friendly to you either. The restaurant has gone down a lot, especially when it comes to the quality of the food. I would not recommend this restaurant. Go eat somewhere else. Here you will just lose money unnecessarily and go home disappointed.
