Veritas in Frankfurt am Main

A wonderful little Greek restaurant in the heart of Frankfurt's Sachsenhausen district. Everything is just right here – the quality, portion sizes, and atmosphere are all excellent. Above all, the service is super friendly. You feel very welcome here. 5 stars deserved!

I had a rump steak and it was amazing. The prices seems fair and they have a very quality menu. The place is quiet but the decor is very lively. Menus are also in English and staff were very friendly I believe it is family owned.

A lovely Greek restaurant on Schweizer Straße. Veritas has a superb summer terrace. You wouldn't guess it when walking by. The lunch specials are also great. I had a delicious bifteki.

Friendly service, great atmosphere. I did not order food but on other tables they look great, I assume they are also delicious.

Quaint shop. Friendly service. We were there with six adults and three small children. The food was plentiful and tasty. Unfortunately, the wait was a bit long because the children were getting restless. Additionally, the highchair was left outside in the enclosed smoking area as a cushion. This made the chair smell strongly of smoke. It was not ideal for our one-year-old child. Since the restaurant was empty, they should have been a bit more aggressive, and aired the smoking room more, and stored the highchair somewhere else. Then it would have been 5 stars. Thank you very much.

A very cozy, homey Greek restaurant in the heart of Sachsenhausen, where you can sit outside and enjoy a well-earned after-work beer or wine on Schweizer Straße, watching the hustle and bustle of the rich and famous, or just ordinary people. The excellent food, freshly prepared in the kitchen, is also very tasty and affordable. Rounded out by the very friendly owners and their staff, it's a real insider tip and I highly recommend it.

The food was good, but the service was awful. The waiter kept mentioning that he was "new." He simply wasn't suited to the restaurant industry—sounds mean, but it's the truth. They brought us a second serving of bread with our starters, and he said he hoped there would be enough this time. It may have been meant kindly, but it didn't go down well. When we were paying, they offered us a shot on the house. When we were really ready to leave, they informed us that there was still an amount outstanding on our table: the shot. Sorry, but we tipped well. They offered us a shot on the house and then wanted us to pay for it when we left. It's just rude. We won't be going back to Veritas because of the service and the way they treated us. Nothing like how it used to be! Thumbs down 👎

Food and service was very professional. Ambient in the garden was incredibly beautiful. Always my pleasure. Homemade tzatziki is definitely the best in Frankfurt!

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 5 Personen im Biergarten des Restaurants. Es war recht hektisch im Restaurant und wir bekamen auch schon mit, dass es Probleme mit dem Essen an anderen Tischen gab. Die Getränke und Essenbestellung ging schnell und dann hieß es warten … Nach ca 60min kamen 3 von 5 Essen, die anderen seien vergessen worden in der Küche. Weitere 25min später kam auch endlich das restliche Essen. Das Essen war lecker und frisch gegrillt. Die Bedienung war super nett und hat sich auch mehrfach entschuldigt.

Today we ordered pickup from Veritas Restaurant for the first time. The bifteki with salad, fried potatoes and tzatziki are highly recommended. Mega delicious and only fresh ingredients and great seasoning. We also loved the Greek farmer's salad and the tzatziki is also very good! Next time we'll eat comfortably in the restaurant. Super friendly service. Veritas is on our top restaurant list in our Sachsenhausen neighborhood.

Ein kleines, schnuckeliges Restaurant. Mit einem wirklich tollen Service und leckerem Essen! Lohnt sich wirklich dort mal vorbeizuschauen.

Sehr lecker und sehr frisch! Wunderschönes Ambiente, der Wintergarten ist super! Bedienung ist ein bisschen langsam, dennoch sehr nett. Werde regelmäßig hingehen.

Waren zwei Tage in Frankfurt und an beiden Tagen dort essen. Der Außengarten bietet eine angenehme Atmosphäre insbesondere am Abend. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Inhaber sehr freundlich. Können das Veritas nur empfehlen Grüße vom Kaiserstuhl

Sehr empfehlenswert! Das Essen schmeckt super! Besonders Bratkartoffeln!:) Wir hatten Dorade und Bifteki, beide Gerichte waren super lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und besonders umgänglich. Vielen Lieben Dank für schöne Erfahrung, wir kommen wieder! Auch lässt euch nicht von einfacher Innen-Einrichtung täuschen und kommt auf tolles Essen vorbei!

Sehr gute Küche. Gemütlich und angenehm

Das Essen ist leider nur mäßig. Der Service zwar aufmerksam, aber auch nicht so toll. Im Raucherbereich kann man wohl auch essen, jedoch ist der sehr schlecht beheizt. Alles in allem bin ich von dem Lokal enttäuscht.

Ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, dass einige Gäste sich über zu kleine Portionen beschweren. Handwerklich sehr gut gemacht das Essen und lecker. Nebenbei gesagt: Wer will schon 500g Schweinefleisch aufeinmal essen, das wäre ohnehin ungesund. Besser mit Genuss Essen gehen. Es sollte bei Restaurantbesuchen nie darum gehen sich bedingungslos satt zu essen.

Waren spontan im Veritas und sehr begeistert. Keine überladen Karte, dafür genau das richtige. Super frische lecker griechische Küche zu angemessenen Preisen. Sehr freundlicher und aufmerksamer Chef. Gemütlich zu sitzen und Amazonics als Hintergrund Musik. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Veritas : die Wahrheit! Wahrhaftig immer gutes Essen, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis und super Service. Geheimtipp ist der Terrassengarten im Hof. Einfach durch das Restaurant durch und schon habt ihr einen schattigen Platz zum Wohlfühlen. Fazit: Wahrhaft empfehlenswert !!!! K und R aus Sachsenhausen

Tropecé con este bar / restaurante. Amelia fue una excelente anfitriona que, sin convencernos mucho, nos alejó de nuestro destino original en este encantador restaurante informal. Tuvimos fotos en las relajantes tumbonas donde Amelia nos sirvió el tradicional vino de sidra de manzana y agua de soda. Comimos el escalope con papas fritas y salsa verde con una ensalada adicional. La salsa verde era similar a la salsa de la diosa verde con parsed y estaba deliciosa. Terminamos nuestros platos por completo. ¡Amelia acababa de comenzar a trabajar allí, por lo que merece un aumento por atraer el patrocinio con su encantadora sonrisa! Lo recomiendo a fondo.

ドイツでありながら色んなオーストリアのシュニツェルの種類が多いお店です。他にもハンバーガーやパスタと、軽く飲みながら軽く食事をするのに丁度良いお店でした。ビールの種類も多いですがお酒はグラスワインの種類が多い、色んな味を楽しめるのでお値打ちです。

Das Veritas direkt an der Schweizer Str. Ist ein nettes kleines Restaurant mit wenigen Tischen und kleinem Barbereich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Frankfurter Schnitzel mit grüner Soße sind ausgesprochen lecker - dafür kommen wir regelmäßig wieder! In den Sommermonaten ist der Hofbereich schön zum außen sitzen.

Man sitzt direkt an der Hauptstraße (Schweizer Str.), wenn man es weiß gibt es hinten auch noch einen kleinen Garten / Terrasse, wurde uns leider nicht angeboten dort zu sitzen. Viel schöner & ruhiger. Das Essen war geschmacklich OK, jedoch sehr kleine Portionen. Besonders ärgerlich ist es, wenn am Nachbartisch das gleiche Gericht bestellt wird und dort das Schnitzel Wiener Art mit Preiselbeeren und mit 2 Schnitzel anstatt bei uns mit nur einem und ohne Preiselbeeren serviert wird. Auch das Gemüse auf dem Flammkuchen war sehr überschaubar. Wir kommen wahrscheinlich so schnell nicht wieder.

We have came across the restaurant - located just in the Main Street- and the best thing that it wasn’t a cafe - but it was a proper restaurant - offering Greek and also German cuisine. I have made sure to try the sauekraut- traditional Pickled cabbage stew- amazing- with some sausages and some beer. The waitress also very friendly👍🏻👍🏻

Es casi una sorpresa porque su fachada exterior no es muy llamativa, pero lo que de verdad importa es que la calidad de la comida es francamente buena. Los Schnitzel espectaculares, la carta de vinos y cervezas muy amplia, con una relación calidad precio muy buena. La atención, también a alto nivel. Merece la pena.

Small and cosy during the winter, this place is a must for any self-respecting schnitzel lover visiting Sachsenhausen. The place has also a garden in the back for the warm months of the year, thus offering to its guests the appropriate surroundings all year long....

Our hotel recommended us this restaurant as one of their favourites and I was more than agreed with them. Really good food, more than perfect service, a really professional waiter, quiet place and good price... What more you want? We tested a mix between Greece...
