Very friendly staff, we spontaneously decided to stop there with a larger group. We received a very friendly welcome and tables were put together especially for us. Everyone was happy with their food and drinks.

Delicious schnitzels, super friendly service, good prices

On average, absolutely fine. However, the sauce tasted very much like ready-made sauce. It was okay, but not great. But beer and a schnitzel are fine.

We Rostockers really wanted to try traditional Frankfurt dishes and we didn't regret it. There was “Frankfurter Schnitzel with green sauce and fried potatoes” and, since I like it, “Handkäs with music”. There was plenty of both and they were very tasty! 👍😋

Everyone will definitely get their fill here! Good value for money. There are decent portions on the plate. Turkey schnitzel was really big and well prepared; Nice and thin but still juicy. Unfortunately, the side dish of fries was mediocre because it was too crispy and too dry for my taste. Service was very friendly and accommodating. Suggestion for improvement to the landlord, even if it's now complaining at a high level: I would at least pour the contents of the ketchup and mayo from Lidl or Edeka provided on the table into neutral and higher quality bottles/dispensers and then serve them.

Visited the inn for the first time today Everyone was enthusiastic about the plentiful and deliciously prepared local dishes. The service from all three hosts was also excellent, very nice but not intrusive. The medlar is also highly recommended under the digestif section

Great place to eat. Just pleasant. Every guest is number one. Great meat. But everyone should form their own impression.

If the deep fryer in the store breaks down or the microwave no longer works, they can close the store. It's actually a snack bar and has nothing to do with real cooking. The shop is buzzing, the food is sold as rustic and a kind of home cooking. I would judge it differently. I can't remember a single time when the food that was actually ordered was brought to the table. Once I ordered beef sausage with mustard, but since the menu shows the beef sausage to be ordered as beef curry sausage, I got a sausage bathed in ketchup and a small bowl of mustard with it. I then asked the waiter if he knew anyone who would eat something like that. I wouldn't have done that better. He started arguing and the lunch break was ruined. He apparently memorized my face and I was punished. Either I only got an egg with the fried potatoes or I didn't get a salad or I had to wait 20 minutes longer for my food than my colleague, who had already eaten it. That was stupid of me... So always be nice to your uncle, otherwise you have to endure the consequences.

The restaurant was tucked at a corner of a quiet street, not too far from the city centre. I visited around 9:15pm on the Easter Monday, and the kitchen is almost done for the day but the lady staff was very friendly and offer me the seat. She recommended me the schnitzel with the special green sauce and it was AWESOME ! The schnitzel was super crispy on the outside yet juicy on the inside. It was't too oily and very enjoyable! Definitely would visit it again.

Quaint, cozy Frankfurt restaurant. We were there for the first time today. Very tasty schnitzel. We had schnitzel with green sauce and cordon bleu with fried potatoes. Service very very nice. We will be back.

We were in the Bockenheimer Stubbe for the first time this week and we will definitely be repeat visitors. 🤩😋 Everything was just right here - from calling to reserve a table until we left late in the evening. Everyone, really all of the service staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was great!!!!! Rarely have I had such a good schnitzel. I'm just wondering what the XXL version looks like. We had to “fight” with the normal one. Many thanks to the entire team for a successful evening.

Nice place and very local (which I liked as an American traveler). I ordered the Madagascar Schnitzel with sides of Spätzle and Red Cabbage. I’ve had much better Spätzle and Red Cabbage in the past but I did enjoy the schnitzel and it was somewhat peppery. Service was very friendly and fast.

Cozy dining room atmosphere with good food. Here we still know how a beer is tapped. (In Frankfurt, where the beer usually comes out of the tap, it's quite a rarity). Fast and friendly service. It's great that there is something like this in Bockenheim.

It's a lively place with great food, great beer and employees who care about their customers. I've been coming to Frankfurt for 25 years and always enjoy the Bockenheimer Stubb.

Nice little restaurant, probably difficult to get a seat without a reservation :) we felt we were in good hands, the food was delicious and the service was on point. We'd love to come back

Great selection of different schnitzels. Good fried potatoes and friendly staff. Very tight between tables and chairs and the walkways. Prices are no longer cheap but still OK.

Excellent hole in the wall restaurant! Best little spot we found for German food in the area. You’d probably miss it if you weren’t looking! The staff was great, the Jagerschnitzel was excellent and the whole vibe of the place was fantastic!

Ich komme aus Wien und bin sehr kritisch, wenn es um Schnitzel geht. Ich muss sagen, ich habe hier das beste Schnitzel in Frankfurt gegessen. Ich wollte immer die grüne Soße probieren und das war sehr lecker. Sehr gastfreundlich und einfach super Essen.

War heute mit meinen Eltern in der Bockenheimer Stub zum Mittagessen. Kann ich nur empfehlen deswegen fünf Sterne in allen Kategorien. 👍👍

Solides Schnitzel, gute Bratkartoffeln, faire Preise. Essen kam schnell und hat gut geschmeckt. Kartenzahlung möglich. Nichts besonderes, aber trotzdem gut :)

Schnitzel 18 Euro. Beilagensalat 6 Euro. Meines Erachtens zu teuer. Auf den Lohrberg kostet das selbe Schnitzel 18 Euro Salat inklusive. Für ein paar Salatblätter, und das Tellerchen war nix besonderes, 6 Euro zu berechnen, grenzt an Abzocke. Deshalb nur 2 Sterne. Ansonsten wären es 5 gewesen.

Aufgrund eines Messebesuches zufällig am ersten Abend inder Stubb gelandet. Mit etwas Glück noch einen Platz bekommen. Ein echter Glückstreffer, bin dann dann die nächsten beiden Abende direkt, auch einmal mit einem Kollegen wieder hin. Wunderbare Schnitzel, uriges Ambiente wie es sich für so ein Lokal gehört und ein Service der trotz des immer vollen Lokales immer freundlich und zuvorkommend ist. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder vorbei wenn ich in FFM bin. Bleibt so wie ihr seid.

Wer auf der Suche nach einem gut bürgerlichen Restaurant mit Schnitzel, Steak und Bier ist, ist hier genau richtig. Es gibt viele verschiedene Toppings für die Schnitzel, welche es auch zum Teil gefüllt gibt. Die Portionen sind ausreichend und der Service war recht zügig. Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung und ich werde bestimmt wieder kommen.

Leckeres Essen und gutes Bier in netter Atmosphäre. Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Wir haben uns an den zwei Abenden sehr wohl gefühlt! 😉👍

The meat was very nicely done, the service was very attentive and with a smile. Lovely interior decorations for football fans. Decent prices. They also have some local digestif for the picky traveler.

Etwas abseits gelegenes Lokal. Unscheinbar, aber das Essen ist lecker und die Portionen gut. Preis angemessen. Angestellte sind freundlich.
