Unfortunately, it was too busy. It was difficult to get a table for four people.

Unfortunately, I can't say much more because, despite having made a reservation and receiving a reminder that day, we found ourselves in front of a locked door on Saturday evening, which indicated that the restaurant was closed due to the current weather conditions. That's not how you treat guests. At the same time, I keep reading that restaurants complain about reservations that aren't kept and, more importantly, not canceled. They should set a good example. It wasn't easy to find an alternative on Saturday evening, but we did! Maybe it was for the best.

A nice, unusual spot in Frankfurt's East Harbor area. Very nicely done, a small but adequate menu. Attentive service. A bit overpriced for what it is.

An unexpectedly beautiful experience. In the heart of the city, yet surrounded by nature.

Despite our reservation not going through due to technical issues, the team handled the situation very professionally and with great friendliness. As soon as a table became available on the terrace, they invited us to move and the location turned out even better than expected. The hamburger was delicious, the service excellent, and overall the experience made me feel that this will definitely become one of my favorite spots in Frankfurt.

Not recommended!!! We waited 15 minutes for the menu, 30 minutes to place our order, and then 1:20 for the food. No cutlery, no request for more drinks. A complete disaster. Never again 🫠

Very nice place for a little break at the "lake" in the middle of Frankfurt

The ambiance is great. And that's about it. The service is absolutely terrible. You're ignored for 10 minutes while you wait at the bar. All the tables are occupied despite reservations. I'm sorry, but this is the worst service I've ever seen.

We had a lovely evening there. The food was good, the service very friendly, the ambiance inside was really nice and tasteful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable prices. Everything was great; we'll definitely be back.

Yes, especially in summer. The menu is manageable, but there's something for everyone. Very tasty.

Lake Bar offers a relaxing lakeside setting with tasty food – we enjoyed delicious burgers, fresh salad, and great drinks. Luckily, we even got a table without a reservation and had a beautiful lake view a wonderful spot in Frankfurt.

Very tasty food, very friendly service and a nice ambience

The location alone isn't enough. We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the professionalism of the service. Everyone knows that Heidi and Paul are connected to Thong Thai. They'd be better off elsewhere. You really need to up your game.

I was at the restaurant two days ago and found the service particularly outstanding. After the many negative comments, a lot has obviously changed here. We got the perfect table, our favorite one, without a reservation and were served very courteously from then on. The food was also very tasty, but the price/performance ratio wasn't quite as good.

An overall bad experience. There were many staff walking around but just one person actually working. We did not get half of our food and the food that we got was cold. It's a nice place for drinks but I can't recommend sitting down and eating.

The view of the lake is nice, but that's all. The staff is slow, disorganized, they don't know which table to bring the food to. After 45 minutes I didn't even get my order because they forgot. A bee flew into my juice and I didn't even manage to order another one because the waiters are completely uninterested in the guests.

Our server was really nice. The food was extremely fried. The location is a small lake in an industrial area.

I was happy to drink delicious draft beer here. Spaten is warm, and San Miguel is slightly colder. Dear team, please don't serve beer like this. The cooling definitely needs to be improved.

In any case, there was enough time; alternatively, you could have also sat on the beach chairs on the shore.

We can't really give this place a single star, even though it only recently opened: We arrived on time, a few tables were occupied, ordered food and drinks, and the service was friendly. After about an hour of waiting, there was still no food in sight. When a whole group at the next table was served first, we left, quite disappointed (and hungry...) after 1.5 hours. I discovered this place on Facebook, so I took a bike ride there from Frankfurt-Sindlingen. It was absolutely worth it. Great location and a very pleasant atmosphere, right by the lake. The food was very good, and the price was perfectly reasonable.

Very nice location, pleasant ambiance. We enjoyed the food and the price was reasonable. BUT: The staff is still completely overwhelmed; despite asking three times, we only received our food (standard burger and fries) after an hour. And the bill was completely incorrect. It's a shame. But things can certainly improve.

Sitting comfortably on the terrace here, you can enjoy a delicious dinner. The prices are fair for the quality of what's offered. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star today because the hand cheese wasn't cooked through. The Caesar salad a la Paul was very good.

A truly beautiful location that invites you to linger. The food tastes okay, but at €13.40 for a burger without fries, it falls far short of expectations. The staff was so overwhelmed that you almost felt bad ordering something... Conclusion: A lot of untapped potential... maybe things will improve after the opening rush.

Top notch service, delicious food, great coffee

A beautiful place after reopening. A welcoming restaurant, a pleasant ambiance. A very relaxed atmosphere, and delicious food. So far, it sounds great, but the service is a complete disaster. We arrived around 6:00 PM, went to the counter, and asked for a table. After no one seemed to approach us or the other guests who entered the restaurant with us, I approached the man at the counter. He was completely unresponsive. No hello, no reaction at all, no "one moment please"... or a brief response, anything like what one would expect. No, he walked away without a word, got some paperwork, and came back. Then he spoke to someone, said he had to do some paperwork and would be free in five minutes. Now that's a very special greeting. Greeting guests is different. "But we could go to any table where there isn't a "reserved" sign." Well, at least there was a reaction. We found something outside. Very nice on the terrace, but no service at all. Here, the staff wanders between the tables, and if you don't actively approach them personally at some point, nothing happens. We even got our tickets at the counter ourselves. The first waiter we stopped said he wasn't in charge. Pure comedy, really. He'd let us know. Whatever that means, nothing happened again. The same thing happened at the next table. Sometime after about 20 minutes, a nice lady came and took the drinks and food. During that time, no one felt in charge. The food then sat on the kitchen counter for quite a while, which was clearly visible from our table, until another man brought the plates. First to the next table, but then to us after no one there wanted the food. :-)) Finally, there was something to eat. Caesar salad with chicken and a portion of handkäs' (traditional cheese)... Both were really very good! A small compensation for this opening and welcome. The drinks we ordered later arrived at different times. The apple spritzer came in a sealed bottle. The next table got the wrong food. It wasn't boring. The opener was then brought later because they didn't want us opening the bottle at the edge of the table. Our neighbor also got the spoon for his cappuccino. The meal continued. Aperol Spritz was also very good. We dared to ask the waiter for fries with mayo and ketchup, and also with jalapeño. These arrived quite quickly and to the right table. The mayo bottle was empty, however. But by now it only elicited a chuckle. Overall, one can say that the atmosphere in the restaurant is really nice. The food is delicious. But the service is almost constantly nonexistent or overwhelmed. You're running after everything. The guests then make sure that the food ends up at the right table. However, the unfriendly reception and the truly extremely poor service do more harm than good to this lovely place. We will certainly find another nice spot on the water in Frankfurt for now.

OK. But nothing more. It wasn't full at 2:45 p.m., but service took a while. The hamburger could have been hotter. Nice view of the lake. But that was it. There were two of us there. We've seen it now - that's enough.

New operator, same problem. Not all dishes are available and waiting times are at least 1 hour.

Schwedlersee is surprisingly idyllic in the east of Frankfurt. Unfortunately, we couldn't try the food, as there was a table available but the staff were hopelessly overwhelmed. We felt so sorry for the staff, so we ended up just having a drink and sitting on the deck chairs outside. Perhaps we'll try again when the weather isn't so great. Fingers crossed that it improves.

Sadly extremely chaotic at peak times. I understand that peak times are difficult. But then you can warn people about long wait times. In summary: Table reservation - was not kept. To order - took 30 minutes of conjuring a staff member We cancelled the food and paid our bill after waiting 75 mins for a burger, salad and a wrap (which is basically the summary of all the menu).

Great location, but that's about it. The food takes way too long, and the staff are completely overwhelmed. A shame.

The Schwedlersee restaurant reopened today. A very pleasant atmosphere. Good luck to the new owners.

Update beginning of July 2025: Unfortunately, the bar and restaurant are still closed...the website announces early July... Folks: the season is almost over!!! What a shame!

A charming place to grab a bite or a drink on a warm summer evening. A special contrast: sitting by the lake, you feel like you are in nature, although you are in the heart of an industrial area - a truly unique experience. The service is sometimes not the most professional, but always very friendly. This only adds to the charm - and, frankly, it is details like these that make the atmosphere special.

Now I remember why I haven't been here for so long. Yesterday I specifically checked to see if it was closed today due to a private event. There was nothing there, just normal opening hours. So we had to move out again and no one lives around the corner. This is the second time now. This never happened before, when it was also more comfortable, but probably also less profitable. It's a shame about the beautiful place.

According to the website, the kitchen closes at 8:00 PM, but you can't order anything after 7:30 PM! The drinks were okay, and the service was okay.

Overall disappointing, bad cider, plastic cups, everything seems worn out, given the location you could do more with it

Thank you for the wonderful time with you. Because of the Osthafen Festival, we only had pizza 🍕 Margherita, which is absolutely fine.

Very nice location to relax during the day and simply enjoy the peace and quiet. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it for events. Drinks serving on the comedy evening took forever, even though there were 4 wait staff. And the comedians were pretty underground and the event was too expensive for that. A pity.

The location is majestic! An oasis for everyone who wants to enjoy their drinks and food, in a very welcoming environment. The space is hosting party's with live music, DJ's and comedy shows! But what really makes the difference is the people behind all this beauty. Humans with kindness and interest about what they provide to their community. Family friendly, perfect for a date, a business meeting, a night out with friends. Totally worth visiting!

Heute wohl Pech gehabt. Schöne Location, coole Musik.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe nach Reservierung an einem "spanischen Abend" da. Das Ambiente direkt am See ist wirklich idyllisch und kontrastiert wunderbar zur Großstadt. Allerdings ist beim Service noch Luft nach oben: wenn man bei 30 Grad Celsius jeweils 20 Minuten auf bestellte Getränke warten muss, und das nicht nur einmal, sondern bei jedem Nachbestellen, macht das keinen Spaß. Wobei Nachbestellen manchmal gar nicht so einfach war - denn das Personal war nicht gerade aufmerksam. Dem Restaurant entgeht so ja auch sehr viel Umsatz, hier sollte dringend nachgebessert werden. Wer gerne spanische Tapas ist, wird auch enttäuscht. Das war geschmacklich schwach, da helfen auch die Spanienflaggen auf dem Tisch nicht. Die Preise wirken auf den ersten Blick moderat, allerdings waren die Portionen auch sehr klein.

Wir waren heute mit der Firma da.Spanischer Abend mit Live Musik und Essen a la Cart wurde versprochen. Leider gab es keine Live Musik und das Essen bestand aus 5 Auswahlgerichten, carpacio, Oliven, Entensalat, Eintopf mit der spanischen Wurst, Käse Schinken Teller. Etwas überschaubar. Die Portionen im Vergleich zum Preis zu wenig. Die Bedienung war sehr chaotisch. Aber nett. Das Ambiente war sehr schön. Privat würde ich da nicht hingehen. Die Tische hätten eine Tischdecke gebrauchen können.

Die Location, direkt am kleinen See, ist mega. Man sitzt quasi direkt am Wasser. Toll. Das Essen war eher mau, was das Angebot angeht. Es ist mehr für einen Snack gedacht. Für einen After Work Drink aber auf jeden Fall eine sehr gute Wahl!

Sehr enttäuschend, Service das totale Chaos, Essensauswahl sehr beschränkt, zweimal Nudeln, Folienkartoffel, Putensteak und Grüne Soße - hat geschmeckt, die Portionen waren aber sehr klein. Ambiente ist top.

Die Bedienung war nett, das Ambiente an einem ehemaligen Hafenbecken auch schön, aber leider war die Essensauswahl extrem begrenzt und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hat definitiv nicht gepasst. Schade, da man mehr daraus machen kann

Schöne Anlage am See in dem man auch Baden kann. Service ist abhängig von der Tagesform der Bedienung, eher nicht gut organisiert. Essen geht so, als Snack aber okay. Kann man mal hingehen aber verpasst auch nichts wenn man nicht hingeht, meine persönliche Meinung.

Sehr schönes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung! Wir waren sonntags zum Brunch um ca. 12 Uhr da! Vieles war leer, wurde trotz Bestätigung seitens des Personals nicht aufgefüllt! Essen war nur OK! Dafür viel zu teuer!

Wie eine kleine Oase abseits der Hanauer Landstraße - ideal geeignet für eine kleine Auszeit mit einem Schoppen und ner leckeren Kleinigkeit zu essen.

Man ist in Frankfurt und dennoch eine ländliche Idylle. Wunderbares essen und super.freundlixhe Bedienung. Wir waren an einem spanischen Abend mit spanischen Musiker...sehr zu empfehlen 😉 Ein Besuch wert. Werden sicherlich beim nächsten Konzert erneut vorbeischauen 😉

Zeit zum Abschalten nötig? Hier bist du genau richtig (in der Stadt)! Leckere selbstgemachte Limonaden, Kuchen und herzhafte Gerichte. Selbstbedienung, doch super freundliches Personal. Baden dürfen nur Mitglieder des Vereins (leider). Ich komme immer wieder gerne :)

Etwas eingeschlafen aber immer noch coole Location

Zuerst war der Abend mit Life-Musik ganz gut. Leider endete der Abend für mich nicht gut. Beim Weg nach draußen bin ich gestürzt, weil gleich nach der Tür an der Seite ein Loch war . So eine Unfallquelle sollte es nicht geben.. ich bin gespannt, wie lange mein Knie braucht,um zu heilen.. 😕

Tolle Location, entspanntes Sitzen im Grünen, mitten im Gewebegebiet. Super nette, flexible Bedienung!

Tolle leckere aufgepeppte deutsch/hessische Gerichte. Ambiente sehr schön im Freien unter Kastanienbäumen. Bedienung sehr freundlich und kompetent und immer ein Scherz auf den Lippen.

Eine schöne Location um abends zu chillen und ein Bier zu trinken. Leider war die Musik durchgehend öde elektronisch...
