I have been studying, living and working in Frankland since 2016, and I didn’t even know the existence of this bar🤣😂 The first time I climbed to the top, I had the opportunity to get to know it through the teacher’s introduction. Needless to say, the location is excellent. You can see it from the photos. It is on the top floor of Peek&Cloppenburg, where you not only feel physically and mentally happy but also enjoy the beautiful view of the city center of France. Rhythmic music enlivens the atmosphere. Here🈶️Cocktail, drinks, spirits... and food are available. 🈶️Beach 🏖️, swimming pool (no entry into the water), lounge chairs and sofa bed, all very comfortable. Whether you are relaxing after get off work, meeting friends, dating or taking photos, it is a good place worth recommending👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 When night falls, the bottom of the pool is glowing with attractive blue lights, and next to it are the lights of Frankfurt's rows of high-rise buildings that alternately become stronger and weaker...

Great Christmas market above the rooftops of Frankfurt

We went to the lounge on New Year's Eve and it was really disappointing. For an entrance fee of €99, we sat in an unheated room that eventually got so cold that everyone wore jackets. The raclette buffet was below expectations, but we hardly noticed it because it wasn't refilled. On the other hand, queuing at the buffet took forever because of the very slow raclette machine despite there being little choice. We preferred to leave at 10:30 p.m. Note: They took the criticism to heart and offered me a voucher for my next visit. Of course that deserves respect, which is why I improved the review! :)

Great atmosphere. Super nice location. The way there is a bit difficult to find as there are no signs visible from below. However, the prices are “typical” beach club and, in my opinion, far too high. I can't rate the food, I couldn't afford it 😏 Therefore only 3 stars from me.

Cityalm is great! Were here for New Year's Eve! The food didn't go well - long queue at the buffet, no pretzels. Everything else was great - drinks, service, music, crowd. It was way too slippery outside, especially near the toilets.

We were there on New Year's Eve and paid €125 per person. A 3-course buffet and drinks were included. Unfortunately the event wasn't worth the money at all. It was completely disorganized and a pure money-making exercise. You were squeezed at a table with so many people that you could hardly move. By the time we got to the buffet after waiting in line for an hour, the remaining food was cold and was then cleared away promptly at 10 p.m., so there wasn't even an opportunity to catch up on anything. At first there was no sign of the starter. The dessert was simply put on the table carelessly. You couldn't even make a choice. The wine could only be enjoyed with water. But the staff was totally overloaded. Furthermore, we pointed out several times that it was very slippery. However, the organizer did not consider it necessary to spread the word or do anything else about it. So going to the toilet was really risky. Many fell along the way. Of course there was no toilet paper or towels either. We are very disappointed. Never again!!

I have spent there at Christmas time and well, for a mulled wine and a good view it is great.

Very nice atmosphere, the service staff was very friendly and attentive. All of the main courses we ordered were tasty, but the portion sizes did not correspond to the prices. Normally a portion of cheese spaetzle fills me up. Unfortunately, this was absolutely not the case here.

This is the second time I've been to the rooftop Christmas market during my Christmas visit and I just think it's great! The selection of stalls isn't huge but it's definitely enough. Prices for mulled wine / cider are also okay (4-5€). The view of “Mainhattan” is of course amazing 🤩 Great atmosphere 👍🏽

This review refers to the City Alm in winter. This is way too overpriced, schnitzel €25.90 small portion, Almdudler 0.33l €5.10, goulash with a very questionable consistency (minced meat?) and hut fun is not what you would expect from a real apres ski party. Towards the end the crowd sings Layla and there is no DJ but a playlist, no reaction and no song requests. We wouldn't necessarily come back.

Were rather disappointed, online it is presented very comfortably, live it looks completely different. Rather dark, cool, nothing special, run of the mill unfortunately, music very picky, everything very simple, service nice but overwhelmed, had to ask several times to be served. Great idea, poor implementation. Too bad. Wouldn't come again. Kaiserschmarrn was very tasty.

The seating was uncomfortable, our waitress didn't feel like eating and the portions were pretty small for the price. In addition, some dishes were not available (although the selection was already small). The Christmas market is cool, but I wouldn't visit the hut again.

Cityalm in December. If you come early it is pleasantly empty. The skyline view at sunset is simply beautiful. It's worth a visit. Prices normal.

We were eating there with the company and everyone got diarrhea. The ambience and service were good. Hi Bixby, the price-performance ratio is too expensive for the fact that the portions are very small and it's canteen food

No words... just disgusting, service below average, ambience catastrophic and I don't even want to start talking about the food! Oh and if you want to walk with your family through a parking garage that smells of feces and urine, you've come to the right place 😷

One of the nights we were in Frankfurt on tik tok this place came up and we went to see it. We loved it! A magical place where we have Kinder crepes and hot chocolate with liquor.

The service was very accommodating. However, from years ago I remembered the Alm as a cozy hut with very good food. Meanwhile the tables (in the middle of the room) are placed so closely together that there really is no space at all. I have to say that the food was unfortunately really bad, the fried chicken, which was a chicken schnitzel, was very greasy and didn't taste good. The potato salad was also just greasy. Unfortunately it was a culinary flop and the prices were high even by Frankfurt standards.

Christmas market poorly signposted. The elevator smelled awfully of urine, the stairwell was totally filthy... the Christmas spirit was gone. Overall, loveless and expensive

Typical Oktoberfest atmosphere... If the idea is to drink a Glühwein like your co-workers or friends... yes, I advise it... But if you search for beautiful photos of food on Instagram before going there, then you are in the wrong place... The food is horrible and nothing like what you expected. The view is very beautiful, I'm specifically critical because what I like most is the food, the rest are details

I've been to the City Alm several times at Christmas and really like it. The food was very tasty, we had Käsespätzle, the Alpine burger and the Käse Brettel and for dessert the delicious Kaiserschmarren, unfortunately without raisins. The table is only reserved for 2 hours and we had to wait 15 minutes over that time until we could get in, then we were only able to order the food after 45 minutes and then the time slot got a bit tight at the end, which we found too bad And it's just very, very loud but we still really liked it

We had a very cozy and delicious Christmas party in the City Alm. Only the noise level at this late hour was a bit tiring... The food was rustic and tasty, appropriate to the location.

The atmosphere is quite nice, but you could do more with it. There are no Christmas decorations in the Alm and it is very cold. Unfortunately, the food and service are not recommended. The sour curds and parsley were missing from the cheese plate. The four slices of cheese on it were definitely not mountain cheese and the soft cheese was two small pieces of low-fat Camembert, and the bread with it was very tasty. Almburger and fries ok, but nothing special. Only the Christmas market with a view of the skyline can score points.

Disappointing.....we were here for the first time years ago under different management. Was TOP. Food, atmosphere, service and the outdoor Christmas market - great atmosphere. Now food tastes and quantity outrageous for a lot of money! 2 out of 4 drinks were out. The music would have belonged in a techno hall. There was no trace of fun in the hut and no mention of the atmosphere... However, the service was very attentive and attentive. But that was it. Unfortunately, the outdoor Christmas market has lost all of its flair. It's a shame actually. It used to be so beautiful up there.

The service here was great, Saturday early evening on an ‘Advent’ weekend … smiley and supportive, wonderful! It’s an extremely loud place, even if only half of the tables are occupied. The menu is small, usually a good sign and taste wise the dishes were ok, however the portions are rather on the small side … the focus of the restaurant seems to be on the drinks menu, that one really is substantial. Good if you fancy a drink or two, not recommended if you are interested in a dining out experience.

Please adjust the opening times online, as guests will no longer be allowed in from shortly before 11 p.m. So the long journey was free!

We found it to be quite crowded. Super long waiting times at the stands. Otherwise very nicely done...

It's far too narrow and far too loud

I like the Christmas market on the roof. We were a bit unlucky with the weather, but there were also a few good solutions for the rain that allowed us to spend a few hours.

Very nice Christmas market on the roof of the Konstabler car park. Due to the location it was very crowded, but understandable. The stands are beautiful and convey a harmonious atmosphere.

Great place and nice ambience. Wonderful view of the skyline. At a certain time, a building illuminated the office space in the shape of a heart. Stands set up practically in a circle and standing tables in the middle. Tried four hot alcoholic drinks and all were delicious. The only drawback is that the hot Aperol stand is the only one where you can pay with an EC card. We have experienced this better in other cities.

Original location. Food good. We were there during the week last week. It was extremely crowded and so loud that you couldn't really have a conversation. What was NOT ok was that emergency exit lighting was stuck on to occupy a table for 6 in front of the emergency exit. There were standing tables on the outside of the emergency exit. Maximum euros taken at the expense of security. I hope this isn't standard.

Food was okay so far. But you can also pay for it. But there was no Bembel! The service was very friendly and incredibly helpful, but far too little for the people who were there.

I've never written a negative review, but what you get here is really a complete disgrace. 25.90 for a Viennese style schnitzel (!). What comes next are two small mini schnitzels with a sad pile of fries, a sachet of ketchup and mayo and half a teaspoon of lingonberry jam. No side salad, not even a leaf for decoration. The taste is on a hardware store restaurant level. Absolute rip-off. Oh yes, 0.5l of light beer: €7. The Christmas market with the skyline is still ok, definitely stay away from the hut!

We went to the Christmas market there on Saturday. It was really great with the view, mulled wine for €4.50 is also really great. It's best not to come too late, as around 7/8 p.m. there's a huge queue and you'll probably have to wait 30 minutes to get in.

We would have liked to have seen the atmosphere and eaten something delicious. But since we wanted to stay in Frankfurt for one night and had put two 1.5L water bottles in our backpack, we weren't allowed in. I don't need to say more...

An alternative Christmas market with all the usual food and drinks but with a beautiful view of the skyline, decorated and illuminated for Christmas, offers the opportunity to enjoy and switch off

We were there as a group last night. The hut is really nicely decorated and the food is also tasty, but not for the price. I'm happy to pay a little more if that's right, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here. You didn't feel valued or welcome as a guest. The waitresses were all really unfriendly. They also had the appearance of hating their job, and that was also noticeable in the service and communication. It should be noted that it wasn't really full, so a stressed or annoyed mood might have been understandable, although I think you should remain professional even in such cases (but that's irrelevant here). The waitresses in every ski hut I've been to in my life, no matter how full, were at least three times friendlier than the ones there, as harsh as that may sound. All in all, I can unfortunately only say that it is not recommended to meet there for a nice dinner. There are far better options in Frankfurt, especially for the price. It's a shame, we were really looking forward to it.

For such a beautiful location above the rooftops of Frankfurt, I was very disappointed with the quality of the food, especially since the price is commensurate with the location. I found the parasols and umbrella stands lying around, which were neither secured nor visible in the darkness, a fire hazard. It's a shame, because it's a great location with the view.

Since 2019, we as a department have been coming to the alpine hut every year at the beginning of winter for hut fun. Unfortunately, we didn't like it at all this year. The waitresses were nice, but totally overwhelmed. Two colleagues ordered wheat beer and received it in a bottle. After asking for glasses 4 times, they ended up having to drink from the bottle. Unfortunately, the food was also a total disappointment this year. The taste might still be ok, but the portions were a disgrace - especially given the increased prices. We were all still hungry after the main courses. And the 3 Kaiserschmarren that we ordered ended up being as much as a normal portion. The atmosphere was nice as always, but definitely didn't help with the negative points. This was probably our last visit this year and we are looking for a new tradition, which is a shame.

Unique experience! Visit to the Christmas market with a prior visit to the restaurant. The staff was very attentive and quick. The menu is limited but good, food was okay. In our opinion, the taste was a bit bland and the portions could have been a little larger. A 0.5 beer costs €7. The Christmas market is really cute and a great view of Frankfurt's skyline. We would come back.

Good bye! We had reserved a table for 3 people a week in advance and had it confirmed. On Saturday, the person who arranged the place wanted to sit us at a "cat table" where we would have sat in the passageway and the three of us like chickens on the perch. After complaining, we finally got a real table. The food came quickly, but wasn't a big hit. We had to look for the goulash on our plates. There were 2 pieces of meat per plate with sauce and side dishes for over €19! Our friend's pumpkin soup was inedible. When we had just eaten, the lady from the beginning came back and said, "We now have to go back to our table," where she had meanwhile seated two young women. So the 5 of us should have sat down on a bench of maximum 1.30 m. Again we argued with the lady who was of the opinion that we had ordered THIS cat table (which is not possible because you can only reserve one but not a specific table). Ultimately, we were able to get the minimum consumption removed and the soup taken off the bill. We then preferred to pay and not ensure further sales. After just 50 minutes, the CityAlm experience was a story with a very unpleasant aftertaste. Even though the young man who served us was super friendly and engaging (he alone would have gotten 5*), we definitely won't come back again. Plead you!

Roof Top - Xmas market... only on the 6th floor but a cool view of the skyline. Casual beats (Thursday) and stalls with food/drinks at usual prices, taste and quality so-so. No stalls with the usual Christmas stuff. Toilets in containers but heated and maintained.

Mega location! Everything was fine. From the food to service, prices and the hut party afterwards. Highly recommended 😃 One point deducted because none of the three elevators worked.

This review is for christmas market, it was great 5 years ago when less number of people used to come. Now its full with people who want to take pictures. Long queues for everything....no place to stand.... just crowded. Its just like Zeil now.

We were there today. Only one of 3 elevators worked. When you get there, you're greeted by the acrid smell of piss. The entire upper deck is completely littered with trash, empty bottles and broken glass. If you go up to the City Alm, exactly two stalls were open. Very very sad. To complete the spooky experience, you should go down the stairs. Every floor smells different and you have to step over garbage. Incredible.

The prices are outrageous. €25.90 for a pork schnitzel, which was partly tough. Served (at your request with fries instead of potato salad) and nothing else. Even in a snack bar it tastes better. Burgers, fried chicken and cheese spaetzle were also not a hit. Ordered a table for 7 people, fortunately one has to say, someone canceled at short notice, because the table would have been impossible to occupy with 7 people if one still wanted to sit reasonably comfortably. Service was ok but nothing special. Ambience quite nice. The City Alm is absolutely not recommended, we definitely won't be coming back.

A very nice atmosphere and not crowded shortly after opening. It's also good with the children. The party starts at around 6 p.m. A hot tip is the Hot Aperol. We only had waffles for dinner, which also tasted very good.

CityAlm - Great concept…. Beautiful stalls, huge selection, cool ambience… top location But unfortunately the way up and down is more than disgusting. Human excretions accompany the path not only in an olfactory way. The stairwell is an imposition!!!! Even though the parking garage operator is probably responsible here, the operator of the CityAlm should invest a few euros in staff and ensure that guests can enjoy their stay without gagging.

I really wasn't impressed with the Cityalm. Maybe it was because we were there for the pre-opening. In any case, the hut smelled very musty. The “atmosphere” didn’t convince me at all. I didn't find the drink prices very cheap either. We didn't eat anything there.

I like this place although there are some organizational deficiencies. Nevertheless, I always have a nice time here. The drinks are delicious and the snacks are pretty good too.

The two of us arrived. We actually wanted to stay in the CityBeach, because I have enough alpine pastures in the Taunus. But everything was closed and only this hut was open and it didn't smell very pleasant. It makes you wish you could smoke in the pub again. That would have smelled nicer. Too bad. You could have written on the website, which I find very confusing, that the city beach season is over. But Alm, I really don't need it. Very unfortunate. I thought there would be a great atmosphere for the nice, but not so warm days.

A little sandy area on top of Frankfurt. Quite nice atmosphere, with cosy music and good drinks. In sunny days it is just amazing.

5 euros entry during the day just to have a drink is crazy. Put a sign at the bottom of the elevator and especially at the entrance stating that there is an entrance fee and then save people the unnecessary walk to the entrance to you.

There was nothing wrong with the food. Service was a disaster. Ambiance was ok. There was no price-performance ratio for me.
