It was my 4th day in Frankfurt and I tried the Haxen dish that I had only heard about. Since it was open after 5pm, I went for dinner. The pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. If I hadn't tried it, I would have regretted it for a long time. I heard that the portions were large, but I only ordered one serving even though I went with my wife (the owner also welcomed me with a bright smile) and ordered two glasses of wheat beer. It was a really delicious dinner. The wheat beer was also delicious. Haxen was 18.5 and two glasses of wheat beer were 10. The total was 28.5 euros, but I paid with a 10% tip. It was the best value for money. I highly recommend it.

I went there because they said I had to try the apple cider. It was a bit smoky. But the food was really delicious. The staff was also very friendly.

Best place in Frankfurt for a drink...the insider tip is to order a small Coke for €2.50 and an Asbach with it...then you pour the Coke into the Aspach (but only half). Then you order a pure Aspach and do the same...this place is a dream! €7.50 for two Aspach Cokes...everyone should go there to drink...but there's a medical consultation before you eat...which is why I don't recommend eating there! But the drinks are really great and inexpensive.

The barmaid is a real character. One moment almost rude to anyone without a reservation and that included me. I sat at the bar and simply watched her performance. So many came without a reservation, she was fed up and resorted to shouting NO RESERVATION....... THEN GO😲 it was hilarious. I managed to share a table with 2 Spaniards from Barcelona and we christened the bar maid Frau Grumpy. But when we ordered more beer and roast pig, with crispy skin she became the sweetest smiling lady. . The beer was only euros 4 .80 for half a litre. And most expensive main course only Euro 17.80. .That's GBP 14 85.😃

A woman visited alone on a Friday evening and was disappointed to see that there were only a few Korean customers. I tried Jager Schnitzel (schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce) and Weissbier, and the seasoning was just right and the taste and quantity were reasonably good. This is a restaurant with a quiet atmosphere and friendly staff. He said he speaks a little English and explained the menu very kindly. I stayed at the nearby Toyoko Inn and went because the hotel staff recommended it. There were many Japanese and Korean customers and the owner was friendly. I had goulash soup, Haksen onion schnitzel and beer. All the food is delicious, especially the onion in the schnitzel. This is a restaurant you will remember for a long time.

It's nice that there are still shops like this. Eating and drinking very tasty. Ribs with cabbage, ox breast with green sauce, Äppelwoi and rosé. Everything's fine. Lots of Japanese and Koreans as guests. The shop seems famous. Absolutely friendly service. Not from Frankfurt but from Berlin, which equals the quick wit. Keep it up.

The food was very tasty, especially the bratwurst and sausages were excellent, the sauerkraut and the potato salad went very well with it. The beer selection was very large and I enjoyed drinking my beer. The place was very cozy and friendly. The staff was very friendly and the service was good quickly the prices were very reasonable.

It is located 2-3 minutes from the Toyoko Inn in front of Central Station, where I stay for the exhibition that is held regularly in Frankfurt once a year. is being issued. I was very impressed after eating schnitzel with cream sauce.. I can understand why they make schnitzel. You can eat it with beer as much as you like. Since it is a famous restaurant, the two people serving you seem very busy, but they do not lose their friendliness. A restaurant frequented by many Japanese people staying at Toyoko Inn. There were many Japanese people in the store. The staff can't speak Japanese, but they can at least understand how to order something like a ``sausage platter.'' There is also a Japanese menu. The meat was tough and didn't suit me. The famous Apfelwein is something like a not-so-sweet lemon sour in Japan. Not sweet apple sour.

Very homely atmosphere with very courteous and prompt service. The small salad is not that small and very value for money for Eur4. The onion soup is on the salty side but chock full of ingredients. The pork knuckle is well grilled. Meat falls off as soon as its cut. Very tasty and skin is crispy!

Around 5:30 p.m., I ordered Haksen and sausages. I drank 5 500ml draft beers and left. The owner was friendly and the food was the same as other Haksen restaurants. It seemed to be talked about as a Japanese restaurant. When I went in, there were 3 teams of Japanese and 1 German. By the time the team, and Korean Team 1, came out, a lot of German people had come in. I think the price was 44.8 euros. It was incredibly cheap compared to the Netherlands.

I ordered a sausage platter and beer! About 20€ for two! The sauerkraut and mashed potatoes were easy to eat and very delicious, and the lady in charge was very kind and gave me recommendations ♡

This is real authentic German food and only a 5 min walk from Central station. We had a few large beers and 2 huge plates of food. All the sausages were amazing. We found it really well priced for what we got. Will definitely visit here again

Unless you want to be mistreated... everything here is low-end, from the decor, to the furniture, to the crockery and I'm not talking about the drinks or the food... oh yes, I forgot the boorish behavior of all the service staff who are also the bosses! It feels like we're in the middle of a comedy of the splendid in the 80s... and the quality of the food... it's very simple the salad served 2 days ago on a motorway rest area at Segways was worthy of a 4 star in comparison, as is the service! It's a famous restaurant, so you have to make a reservation or wait to eat. The staff are all really unfriendly, especially to Asians. It was very unfriendly. It felt like racism. No, it was obvious racism. So much so that the British people who were present were comforting. It was a very unpleasant meal and a waste of money. A place I never want to go back to Still, business is going well so I guess there is nothing to see.

Long-established Frankfurt gastronomy. Service staff sometimes come across as a bit rude, but I don't think they are, but they seemed a bit overwhelmed with a larger number of guests. Food was also pretty average. The hand cheese as a starter was marinated far too briefly and was therefore totally hard. Unfortunately the bread was dry and of poor quality. Currently there is asparagus, which I tested. All in all, pretty average. I think for tourists who want to try German cuisine and don't know what Grandma's tastes like, it's really ok and they can feel the flair of an old German pub. I wouldn't recommend it for locals. Nevertheless, thank you for your efforts.

The food here is great and comes with big portions. They have sausage, ham hocks, steaks, and even vegetarian options on the menu. The crispy skin ham hock was massive and juicy! The staff here is probably the friendliest I've encountered in town so far. I'd definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

We flew to Frankfurt for 12 hours, we had one night in the city and flew out in the morning. We checked into the Plaza Hotel because I found your establishment nearby, where you can eat hot food and drink beer, and which is open until 22.00. When we arrived at 20.40 the woman serving the tables waved her hands and did not let us in. “No,” she screamed, “No.” Very welcoming! Thanks for the service! We left hungry in Frankfurt because we couldn't find any local food nearby. I give this one star not only to your establishment, but to the entire city of Frankfurt, because apart from the dissatisfied face of this woman, we didn’t remember anything else.

The 3 stars “Quite okay” is quite accurate. It's okay, but nothing special either. With a few exceptions, the menu mainly consists of all kinds of meat dishes. The portions are very clear. Dit leuke Duitse restaurant bezoek ik al jaren als ik voor werk in Frankfurt ben. Je wordt er altijd vriendelijk begroet en snel geholpen. Als je kijkt naar de prijzen die het restaurant hanteert moet je de verwachting ook niet hoog leggen, het is alsof je bij een Duitse moeder thuis mee komt eten. Dat is ook de sfeer in het restaurant. "Heimlich". Als het druk is schuif je wel eens aan bij tafels. Absolute Duitse gezelligheid! Deze sfeer alleen al is onbetaalbaar! Het eten is van iets mindere kwaliteit, maar wel smaakvol. De preiselbeeren bij de gebakken camembert kwamen overduidelijk uit een pot. De rode kool was ook zoals je die kooptvin de supermarkt. Niks spannends dus, maar wel precies wat je hier kan verwachten. Als je dat in je achterhoofd houdt heb je hier een heerlijke stek gevonden om geregeld Duits te eten.

Only a few guys are working, but the food is on the table quickly. Husband and I came slightly before 6:30pm to beat the crowd. First time in Germany, and their food is absolutely amazing. Makes me want to come back soon to try other items.

素朴なドイツ料理が食べられるとのGoogleの口コミを見てやってきました。口コミ通りでした。 アイスバインを注文。味は薄めですが、さっぱりして美味しい。お好みで、卓上の塩胡椒、マスタードで味付けするのも良いと思います。 デザートのアップルパイが、甘すぎずちょうどいい味でとても美味しかったです。 接客はあっさりしてるので、無愛想と取る人もいるかもですが、私は全く気になりませんでした。日本語メニューいるか？とかも聞いてくださり、とても快適に過ごせました。
