Very tasty food. The service was good and the location was great. I'd love to come back again.

It was still warm enough to sit outside, there were five of us here for the first time. The waiter was friendly and attentive, but at the same time he seemed like someone who was doing this for the first or second time. We had a pizza and four fish dishes at the table. The waiter also brought us a basket with some kind of pizza bread and, if we asked, even more. The fish was good and the sauce was delicious. In order not to lose them, we asked for more bread. The wine - Pinot Gris - was unfortunately just ok and not as great as the food.

Anyone who has Loka filled to capacity in Alt Sachsenhausen on a Tuesday evening is doing everything right. Luckily we reserved, we were already waiting in line outside to find a place in the chilled out interior. Service=top! I think the brisk and attentive waiter has been serving us for 10 years. Super sympathetic. Totally guest oriented. Respect. Pinot Gris from Gut Diehl is great, the Sicilian Vermentino is even better. The Peperoncino pizza was fiery as expected, the filled tortelloni with pumpkin and sage was perfect, the Caprese di Buffalo was a delight. We say thank you for that.

Very tasty food, very cool atmosphere. You immediately feel comfortable. The service was also super nice. Extra card for children and pictures to color in. New ones just need sharper ones. All the pencils were now sharpened, which made painting very difficult ;)

Not the best store for me personally. My dating person simply had nausea symptoms the following day. The carbonara was served with cream instead of egg yolk. The pasta with salmon was brutally lemony. Our drinks simply arrived an hour later, and we also ate our food beforehand.

When u are out of ur country and u don't know what u looking for dinner, italian restaurant it is always a good choice. Italian restaurant in Frankfurt u can find 10K of them, this is one extra +, nothing special but correct, the best: the stuff, super kind even when they are super full outside the kitchen, and really fast bringing the food from inside the kitchen.

Went on a weekday night. Overall the place is decent and quite buzzing. But overall not 100% sure honestly. Positive was the nice and quick service, the lively atmosphere and the food was ok. The pizza was hot and fresh but for my taste a bit dry with little cheese and tomato sauce. Prices are ok. Negative was the very cramped layout with people sitting quite close to each other also back to back. It was quite hot for some reason and loud because of all the people. People stay here for several hours to chat, however the chairs are not the most comfortable.

Great place, very good atmosphere. Pizza was delicious. It's a bit crowded in the evening.

Whenever I'm in Frankfurt I have to go to Gioia. Everything is just wonderful!!

Good restaurant with variety on the menu. It's not very expensive in comparison and the pizzas are brutal.

I made the reservation for Sunday via Google Maps at 8 pm on Saturday night, I received the confirmation right away, but I was very surprised when it was suddenly canceled at midnight, when I had already planned the whole trip, from the parking lot to the concert venue. Fortunately, they worked until 2 in the morning, so I dared to warm them up. In addition to loud music and rickshaws, we managed to make the reservation over the phone after several repetitions. The place is cozy, the tables are a bit crowded, you can hardly walk between them, the door of the women's carriage is torn off, it is very small. The food selection is medium, with several types of pizza, pasta, chicken, beef, seafood, and fish dishes, but the quality is excellent. The prices are moderately acceptable. The service is very nice. You can also pay by card.

Nice restaurant with bar in the heart of Sachsenhausen. The interior of the restaurant is quite large, very nicely decorated and has a large number of tables. There is also plenty of seating outside, which is very comfortable even in colder temperatures thanks to windbreaks, blankets and heat lamps. There is a large selection of Mediterranean and Italian dishes. Not many of them are vegan, but at least some cool mezze and pasta dishes are vegan. 🌱 The food tasted great and the service was good too. I had a bad experience with food but a good one with service and atmosphere. Ordered a hummus plate with pita. Humus was mediocre and pita was not homemade - I could smell the conservants in it. I expected way more.

Great restaurant. Had,, love from the sea,, very well done, rarely such delicious seafood. Super nice conditions and you feel like you're sitting in a beer garden. I'll come back when I'm in Frankfurt.

Very tasty food and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Since this restaurant is very popular, we expected a lot of visitors and reserved a table in advance. Unfortunately the tables are very close together in order to seat as many guests as possible. Of course it's smart in itself, but unfortunately it's very uncomfortable because you can't get out without asking other people to get up... So it's definitely not a place for a sweet date because it's also very loud there. But the food is perfect! Only with the Zaatarr Pita we would have liked a little more Zaatarr and tomatoes because it tasted a bit dry 🙏🏼 We can highly recommend the cauliflower starter, as well as hummus (never had such delicious hummus before)

Ordered fried cauliflower and pasta. Cauliflower was drenched in lemon juice- not eatable. Pasta was ok. Underwhelming :(

We, my girlfriend and I, recently had lunch at GIOIA. When the weather was nice, we sat under the canopy in front of the restaurant. The selection for lunch is very large, so you are guaranteed to find something every time. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food we selected came very quickly and tasted absolutely delicious. The grilled baby calamari was amazing; with wasabi dip - so delicious. We are thrilled every time and can recommend the restaurant at any time of the year. Please keep it up. We are very happy to come.

I am very satisfied with my visit to GIOIA! The service was super nice and accommodating and the food was also very tasty, apart from the pizza, which was good but nothing special in my opinion. The ambience is simple with simple tables and chairs. However, a lot of effort was put into the decoration and I particularly like the design with lots of plants, so I almost felt like I was in Italy! It's just a shame that the restaurant is right on the main street and is therefore a bit noisy, but that didn't bother me too much. The music in particular was very very very good, please turn up the volume even further next time :)

We were guests here with several people. The food was consistently tasty and well prepared. The salad is a good size and the pizzas are well topped. There are also dishes for vegans Despite everything going on, there was no rush. The service was attentive and friendly and not intrusive. The food came quickly and requests were addressed. The waiter didn't pass the glasses across the table, which we noticed positively. The outdoor area is nicely designed and the restaurant is centrally located. Toilets are at ground level, a bit narrow. I give this 5 stars with a clear conscience

The food is fantastic!!! As a starter we ordered the grilled beguine and the cauliflower with tahini sauce. Afterwards I had the gratinated gnocchi with truffle cream and champions. That was just a dream. It is very varied. I haven't had such good food in a long time. Thanks to the team. 🙏

The Gioia, a restaurant you look forward to after a Friday afternoon in Frankfurt. But everything is too much to ask. We had a reservation for 7:00 PM and after confirmation that we could go at 8:00 PM this was okay. However, at the time we arrived the small western German world was too small. The already balding gentleman, estimated in age, did not appreciate his gentlemen's company, after which he showed us the door in a fairly insistent tone. The neighbors are much nicer.

We were there spontaneously and got a great spot outside. The food was very tasty but I would especially like to praise the service, especially Marlene, who was very attentive and responded to our special requests. Here you can enjoy delicious gluten-free pasta in Frankfurt.

The pizza there was very tasty and inexpensive. Plus, the food came pretty quickly. Although we were eating there with a large group, we would go there again. They also have very unusual pizzas like the goat cheese and beetroot pizza. My friend ordered this and it's a bit too abstract for me personally, but I tried it and it was definitely delicious. The area is also very quiet and beautiful

Food is fine. Beetroot pizza was very unusual. Just be aware you will be questioned aggressively should you decide not to leave a tip via the card machine. ‘Was there something wrong with the service? Why aren’t you leaving a tip?’. Bad form. I won’t be back.

I ordered a sea food dish and after 4 hours I got really sick due to food poisoning and spent the whole day in the hospital . It ruined my trip . They made the food too spicy. Thus, I was not able to taste and recognize that the food had been spoiled . It's such a bad trick . There are dozens of good restaurants in Frankfurt . Please, please, please avoid this one!

when it comes to pizza one of the worst preis-performance items in town —9 euros for a margherita that can easily be beaten by a 6 euro frozen pizza or other b grade pizzerias around town. i personally would even prefer pimping 2,50 euro one from tegut than going back here. i went for pick up. tho the guys were nice i had to wait 10 minutes to pay and so on. so it didnt help at all that the pies got cold :/

Nice restaurant with a great ambience. We ordered various food and drinks (including salads and pinsa late in the evening) and all of them tasted to a good standard. We will definitely come back for a pleasant evening. The restaurant also gets a plus point for the cleanliness of the tables and toilets.

Discrimination! Or already racism? It's a shame I have to give one star. The other day there were two of us there, we stood in line for an eternity and no one paid any attention to the conditions and walked past us several times until we found a place ourselves and sat down. A beer set on the beer bench that stands firmly on the terrace from the shop. Weird white guy said the conditions it would bother him the way we sit even though this bench has its fixed place we didn't check it at the beginning in the end we realized he said it because there were tourists sitting at the other end of the bench enjoying their bottle of wine they were in a celebratory good mood. They were very friendly and offered us the place. But the waiter said that we should sit on a side table, a kind of side table for waiters. Strangely, we were in the way. We didn't think anything of it. But there was only one chair there so I had to organize a chair myself. After a long time back and forth, we finally sat down. Nobody really wanted to serve us, the waiter came and said to us three times that he would be there soon because others wanted something. At some point we were able to order. After a few minutes the waiter came back and asked us to pay in advance as the only guests. His statement: because of our appearance and our origins, which he could roughly guess, we would give the impression that we don't pay. We also found him drunk. We hadn't drunk anything and felt like we were the only ones who hadn't ordered alcohol. We were also probably the guests with the smallest bill. Impudence, it was such an unpleasant feeling. Of course we went straight away - we were born and grew up here in Frankfurt and have never had to experience anything like that. There are enough polite restaurants.

Party of 6 , tried new restaurant. Food was well preserved and very tasty. We liked the fact that they could split the bill. I got the chicken skewers, chicken was tender, and very well seasoned. We ordered 2 of those, but our waiter got confused and brought out only one. When he realized, the second one was out really fast, well cooked, and with an apology. That over there is good customer service 👌 👍. We will visit again.

Really appalling service. We had to go and ask a waitress to take our order, as we’d been sitting waiting for about 15 minutes. When our drinks were finally brought out, one was missing and one was wrong. It took another 5 minutes for them to bring out the correct drink (still water) and we had to ask a further two times to get the missing beer. A waitress was yelling at the guy working behind the bar in front of customers. Food was very good, but the service was the worst I’ve ever experienced; just totally gormless and disinterested in customers.

Oriental-Italian restaurant with a nice outdoor area. I had the sea bream, which was well grilled and tender, although it was a bit drowned in sauce and spices so that the flavor was barely noticeable. The service could be a little more attentive and quick, but was very friendly. The appetizer plate for sharing is recommended, especially the fried squid rings were very good. I don't think the price-performance ratio is entirely appropriate, but if you're in the area, it's a good place to go.

We dined yesterday at GIOIA in a very nice atmosphere. The service was very good and the food arrived at the table very quickly. Before we even had drinks, some of the food was already brought to us. For a normal price we ate really well. All in all, definitely recommended!

The chicken skewers were our favorite meal so far in Germany. It was amazing with the potatoes and salad. The pizza was ok and we have had better but still tasty. The rigatoni carbonara was good as well and a good second choice. Overall great meal and reasonable prices.

The outdoor area itself is very cozy and beautifully designed. We ordered the starter platter for 4 people (but there were only 2 of us). All 6 dishes were very tasty, but only one pide was served, which is very little for two people and the platter is for up to 4 people. When we asked if we could order more bread, some would be served to us. But we were surprised that we had to pay for it. Given the price, there could be more bread. Otherwise, I can recommend the appetizer platter and the restaurant.

Love it :) pizza is the best. Glutenfree pasta is not very good, it's the one from the brand JA! and you need to pay extra if you want to have it, even when the quality is not even close to good gluten free pasta like from Barilla. Anyways, everything else, that includes gluten, is awesome.

Fast service, large selection also for vegans and vegetarians. The taste was good. However, we were not impressed by the price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, the Mediterranean platter was too small for €18 and was more of an appetizer and the pizza took on the taste of the wooden board. Even the dessert didn't convince us 100% considering the expensive price.

My favorite restaurant in Frankfurt. The food never disappoints. Nice interior, prices are ok...I recommend the pasta with truffles and the beef steaks. And vegetarian plate is also very tasty, the falafel is perfect

We were there at lunchtime and ordered foccacia with three different dips. All in all super tasty, I personally didn't like the olive dip. I have to deduct one star, despite the delicious food, because I think it's stupid that the "dips" weren't exactly named in the menu. I find it particularly important in the area of ​​allergies, intolerances, etc. All in all the waiter was friendly. And the prices are totally okay.

Ordered for 3 people and I clearly had no luck with my order. 1-2 hours after I ate the pasta, my stomach started to churn. Unfortunately I got food poisoning, which is unacceptable.

The lunch menu (new German "business lunch" 😅) consisting of a pizza/pinza/pasta dish as well as a salad and a small soft drink is highly recommended.

Very unfriendly staff, the restaurant only had 3-4 tables occupied and then we were told to sit in the back yard. We asked if we could sit on the terrace. The waiter was absolutely unfriendly and said you have to leave in an hour. We didn't eat anything there and left.
