Saalbau Bornheim in Frankfurt am Main

Food is good but expensive. Potion is very small.

There is always a local advisory board meeting here once a month, where I am part of or am part of it.

Went to a children's bazaar here and like the year it was too crowded and stuffy. A little more space to run would be nice and a little better air.

Typical hall construction. Went there for the poetry slam. Found a parking space around it, the adjacent parking garage was of course full 15 minutes before.

Was at the Saalbau Bornheim as part of Japan Day. The caretakers were very cooperative and helpful this year. The building is a 1970s functional building. Suitable for small and large events. Not very pretty, but very functional. No restaurant visit.

Nice hall for larger events. Easy to reach.

Large event venue in the middle of Frankfurt. Parking in the basement and you can also get there by bus and train. Catering provided by yourself. 500 people can fit in.

I'm glad the venue exists. The library is also located here. The connection to the subway is perfect and one or two events are worth a visit.

If you don't live in the immediate vicinity of this venue it is impossible to reach it. I got to the venue an hour before and tried to park. It was not possible to take part in the event with a lot of people because it was not possible to get a parking space either in the area or in the parking garage. Unfortunately, the tickets, which cost 45 EUR, have expired. Traveling by public transport would have taken two hours, even though I live in the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt. Especially since the event would have ended at 11 p.m. and I somehow didn't want to have to change trains four times in Frankfurt am Main at that time. I'm super sad. I and many others said that there were venues where you could have parked, I think for quite a bit of money, or at least with a shuttle or something similar.

I went to Saalbau Bornheim to participate to a Latino Event, so I cannot rate the food from the Hall Restaurant. The Hall is HUGE but properly insulated and it is not cold. Toilets are underground and not really that close to the hall, which is way too inconvenient, especially for disabled people (no ramp, just stairs). The hall has its own parking lot underground, which is convenient. The parking space is not wide enough and the paying machine isn't easy to find. I loved that there's a public library within

A hall building😂 Great for events

The Bornheim Saalbau is a kind of community center/event hall. Classic. Bourgeois 😅 Ok. But nothing special. We didn't try the restaurant next door.

Wir waren zu einem öffentlichen Vortrag da. Der Saalbau war dafür gut geeignet. Pausenversorgung auch gut.

Sehr schönes, modernes Gebäude. Anlagen sind gut gewartet, und in sehr gutem Zustand. Licht ist gut gewählt. 👍

Abiball war dort an einem sehr heissen Julitag. Saal war jedoch angenehm klimatisiert. Schöner großer Saal ohne Stützen und Bauzustand sehr positiv. Tiefgarage verhältnismäßig geräumig und in sehr gutem Zustand zu fairen Preisen. Direkter Zugang. Sehr zu empfehlen. Keine 5 Punkte weil - in meiner Wahrnehmung - Catering extern bezogen werden musste. Das Restaurant ist eher hochpreisig. Wie kann der Vermieter Saal und Catering nicht kombinieren. Verstehe ich nicht.

Ein schön gestaltetes Bürgerhaus. Weitgehend barrierefrei, mit Tiefgarage. Da mitten in der Stadt, wie fast überall,wenig Parkraum, also besser mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu Veranstaltungen anreisen.

Ein großer, ordentlicher Raum für Veranstaltungen jeglicher Art. Im Inneren der Saalbau Bornheim (Bürgerhaus) noch weitere Räumlichkeiten vorhanden. Saubere Toiletten, Garderobe und ein Parkhaus sind vorhanden. Auch mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut erreichbar. Vom Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof aus direkt mit der U-Bahn-Linie 4 bis Haltestelle Höhenstraße und einem kleinen Fußweg von ca. 5 Minuten.

Die Einrichtung ist etwas altbacken, das Essen ist gut. Freundliches Personal. Mal sehen wie es 2020 mit dem neuen Pächter und einem neuen Konzept wird! Momentan ist der Umbau im vollen Gang. Es zeichnet sich jedoch ab, das in Zukunft ein gänzlich anderes Klientel angesprochen werden soll.

Die Faschingsparty dort ist echt gut

Saubere Tiefgarage und Bibliothek im Haus. Das Restaurant ist leider wegen Umbau geschlossen. Von hier auf die Berger Straße ist es ein Katzensprung.

Ich mag die Location, sie ist super vielseitig, Parkhaus vorhanden, mit Aufzug und behinderten freundlich. Auch das Restaurant da ist nett.

Essen war topp Mittags wie Abends. Nur schade das es nicht in der Familie weitergeführt werden konnte. Weil der Pachtvertrag nicht verlängert wurde, und außerdem wird daraus ein Steakhaus. Sehr, sehr Schade😥😥

War 20 Jahre gut bewirtschaftet Und zum Dank muss der Wirt gehen.Ich frage mich wer die Entscheidung getroffen hat?

Gute Steaks. Wer Fleisch mag ist hier gut aufgehoben.

Preis Leistung top. Leider dürft ihr nicht mehr weitermachen im nächsten Jahr. Man kann nur hoffen, dass der Nachfolger mindestens genauso gut ist wie ihr es seid.

Nun ja, im Grunde handelt es sich hier ja nur um einen Nachruf, da der Pächter der Gaststätte im Bürgerhaus Bornheim wohl wechselt- die Spatzen pfeifen es wohl schon vom Dach des postmodernen Gebäudes. Eben dieses kam in meiner Kindheit wie ein Raumschiff daher, als dort auf einmal die Kinderbücherei in einem rostrot-dunkelblauen und bisher unbekannten Gebäude gelegen ward. Das Gegenteil dieser (Post-)Modernität stellte die Balkanküche des Restaurants dar. Hier gab es immer die ebenso aus der Kindheit gewohnte, damals als exotisch empfundene fleischlastige Ex-Jugoslavische Küche, für mich ein kulinarisches Fanal der Achtziger, dessen Geschmack auf wohlige Weise an Wetten dass?, ZDF Hitparade, Schulterpolster und die beste Musik aller Zeiten erinnerte. Und man musste sich nie zwischen Pommes und Reisbeilage entscheiden, sehr angenehm, wie ich damals schon fand. Schade, ich werde das Lokal vermissen...

Nichts besonderes. Aber auch nicht schlimm.

Ausgesprochen tolles kroatisches Restaurant. Preis und Leistung ausgezeichnet.
