No seas un héroe, solo anota la orden y estoy mucho más impresionado si eres capaz de servir todo según lo planeado. Por último, deja tu actitud. Sé que los alemanes tenemos reputación, pero no estamos a la altura. Pero agradable y amigable con los clientes que están pagando dinero por ello. Además, aun así no hay una gran propina en Alemania, si lo hago propina a la manera americana, un simple agradecimiento estaría bien, ¿no crees?

A review to attract attention. Card payment is possible from 10€ if you take it away. In a restaurant from 20€. I wanted to get lemonade for my child in the heat because my own water ran out, but there was no cash, only a card. The guys shrugged their shoulders and that's it. No one sold anything, naturally. Sad and unfriendly service.

Unfortunately, there was no indication anywhere that card payments are only possible for orders over €20. We had only ordered drinks for €6 and wanted to pay by card. Since we didn't have any cash with us, we were forced to pay €20 by card. This should have been clearly communicated in advance – for example, on the menu or at the entrance.

The view from the front is amazing! If you don't get turned away despite having a reservation, and even though half of the dining area at the front is blocked off. It's sad when you then have to search for a seat in front of the restroom. That was very annoying. The food was okay.

A real recommendation! Delicious Hessian cuisine! Great for a cozy dinner or date. First, take a walk on the Lohrberg and then stop off at the inn. There's also a kiosk for snacks, ice cream, etc.

An old tourist restaurant with a view over Frankfurt. I've been observing the restaurant's varied history for about 50 years. A real recommendation again in summer 2025! The concise menu features the essential Frankfurt specialties, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and prompt. The Bembel (a traditional German beer) is no longer on the menu, but can be ordered.

Always worth a visit. Great surroundings and delicious cakes. Service is at full capacity, but everything is still under control 😎👌 It's also a great place to sit and eat lunch.

We ate at the Lohrberg Schänke last night. The food was fantastic: firm asparagus, a superbly roasted schnitzel topped with ham and cheese. The white wine was dry, tart, and drinkable, an excellent Pinot Gris. The waiter was young, smart, and very attentive, named Michael. Thank you very much.

The food is delicious, but you sit on a garden chair, which is very uncomfortable. The idyll is hardly present due to the mass activity, and the bike racks are out of sight.

I've been to this restaurant many times and have spent many euros here for celebrations and birthdays. However, what happened to me a while ago with a certain, pushy waiter, G*Khan, put me off and spoiled my appetite. At first, I was only hesitantly offered a seat in a crowded beer garden, even though there was one side where everything was free, but nothing had been cleared up. Then, waiter G brought the wrong food after a 30-minute wait. When I pointed this out to him, he looked annoyed and reacted aggressively. After another 15 minutes, during which I wasn't offered a replacement, I got up and left the restaurant. On my next visit, the same waiter accused me in front of other guests at dinner of having skipped out on the bill during the visit described above. In a very aggressive, rude, and extremely pushy manner, this made me very uncomfortable and spoiled my appetite. In general, this waiter, Gkhan, isn't cut out for service. He's very unreflective and lacks manners; you shouldn't let such a waiter loose on guests. The rest of the crew is very friendly, and the food is good.

The food is always super delicious! We like being there. The atmosphere in the beer garden is also great, we don't like sitting in the front area. Service varies. It often happens that the drinks are empty and you have to wait forever to be able to order more. A little more attention to almost empty glasses would be desirable. Otherwise very friendly and very accommodating when problems arise. All in all, always worth a visit - but only with prior reservation. Only parking is a disaster on weekends in the summer. It is advisable to carpool in order to even get a parking space.

The first time in the Lohrberg Schenke, and the portions are really huge. I had beef sausage with mashed potatoes, and sauerkraut and horseradish. The mustard was brought especially, although I asked for it, 2 bags of mustard were brought to me. There was still Viennese, schnitzel with cranberries and fries, although fried potatoes were requested. We had several dishes and tasted very good and very busy, which shows how popular the restaurant is.

Yes, on a nice day it's nice to sit up here. On nice days it is also very crowded and the service is overwhelming. It might help to write things down before you get 60% of the side dishes wrong. You are not actively asked if you would like anything else, you have to proactively flag down the waiter and wait forever for everything. Dishes were actually there until we left and we sat for about an hour after eating. It's just a tourist restaurant

Unfortunately, my experience there was not a good one. We had to follow the waiter because after standing for 10 minutes we still hadn't been offered a table. 20 minutes later, we were able to order two beers but no food because the waiter was only responsible for drinks. There were three waiters in the restaurant and I asked them to take our order. Two came and went around us, but it seemed as if we were invisible to them. With patience and empathy, we waited another half hour, and an hour had already been in the restaurant without being able to order. I only wanted to place two orders for my young daughter and my wife because it was already lunchtime while we were walking. The impressive thing about it is that everyone around us could order their food, even if they obviously arrived after us. Plus, our table was right in front of the cash register, which made it impossible for us to go unnoticed by the staff. After an hour, we left the restaurant but still had to go straight to the cash register to pay, which the waiter had plenty of time to do in this case. I would never go to that restaurant again. I had to interrupt my family walk to find a restaurant where my daughter could eat. When I asked the waiter to take my order, he naturally smiled in my face and told me to come when he had time. This surprised us because he actually had time to serve three other tables, including people who arrived half an hour after us. I've never had such an unpleasant experience in my life.

We just got a cider from the counter to drink outside on the park bench. Unfortunately there were only wobbly 0.4 paper cups, and we found them expensive at 5 euros. So service and friendliness are more in the middle range. But the free space on the bench and the early spring sun at the beginning of March were nice.

I pretty much like the location. The food is also good, traditional hessish. However, the staff is very unmotivated due to a very high customer flow. Even outside of pick hours, one has to wait... and wait... and wait... That's why only rentner could afford it. You wait to get seated, you wait to ask something, you wait to place an order, you wait to ask for a bill, finally comes the bill but the guy is gone immediately (just to prevent you from paying right away), and you wait again, then he comes but you don't have enough cash (what a wonder for the total of 80 euros?!?), and then you wait till he picks the device... Go there ONLY if you are not in a rush at all. Simply having a drink - not an option. It's cheaper, faster and much more suitable to get a bottle of apple wine or Riesling at the Apple House near by (which is really good, can only recommend) and drink it sitting on a bank with the great Skyline view. Never again (till I get retired).

Es ist ziemlich schade. Der Lohrberg bietet eigentlich eine perfekte Lage für ein Ausflugsrestaurant. Auf der Website präsentiert man sich traditionell hessisch, was die Speisekarte auch genauso widerspiegelt. Doch anstatt einem Römer Pils etwa, bekommt man hier Oberdorfer Helles. Naja, damit könnte man ja noch leben, aber es ist ein Sinnbild für das gesamte Bild des Restaurant. Rundum war das Essen ok. Als Vorspeise eine Handkees Variation ist hier positiv zu bemerken. Das Schnitzel und die Bratkartoffeln schmeckten eher nach Fritteuse, als nach Pfanne. Dafür war die grüne Soße geschmacklich gut. Das größte Manko hier ist allerdings der Service. Es bedienten uns zwei verschiedene Kellner, die offenbar eine Wette untereinander hatten, wer unfreundlicher zu den Gästen ist. Obwohl wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten, musste erst das alte Geschirr von unseren Vorgängern weggeräumt werden. Weiter nicht schlimm, aber als der Kellner uns ein "Wollen Sie mir jetzt beim Eindecken zuschauen?" nannte, führte das zu Stirnrunzeln bei uns. Ich habe nichts gegen einen schön trockenen Frankfurter Humor, aber der Herr schien offensichtlich gereizt, dass er heute zur Arbeit musste. Schlimmer allerdings war die Kellnerin: Ohne Bitte und Danke wurden zügig die Bestellungen aufgenommen und angereicht. Es war generell eine Hektik in dem Laden. Auch hat mir beispielsweise ein "Hat es Ihnen geschmeckt?" gefehlt. Ich hätte also nichtmal mitteilen können, dass der Handkees sehr gut war. Beim Bestellen schaute sie schon zu anderen Tischen und Gästen, anscheinend war es ihr wichtiger möglichst schnell Geld in den Laden zu bringen. Da man uns nach dem Essen im Stich ließ, mussten wir einen Hilfskellner bitten uns die Rechnung zu bringen, er war im Grunde freundlich und sagte, dass er sich drum kümmert. Kurze Zeit kam dann die unfreundliche Bedienung mit der Rechnung. Wir baten sie doch bitte die Rechnung zu teilen, worauf sie entgegnete "Ihr hattet doch ungefähr dasselbe". Ich gebe im Normalfall immer Trinkgeld. Selbst wenn es mir nicht so gefallen hat, runde ich zumindest auf den nächst vollen Betrag auf. Allerdings habe ich es diesmal wirklich nicht eingesehen, für das arrogante Verhalten noch was oben drauf zu geben. Das kam beim Bezahlen offensichtlich nicht so gut an... Wir hatten gehofft hier ein schönes hessisches Lokal mit tollem Blick über Frankfurt zu bekommen, aber haben leider eine Touristenfalle bekommen. Dann in Zukunft doch lieber die Klassiker in Sachsenhausen, wie die Germania oder der Kanonesteppel.

For the price and the amount of people processed, the quality is good. At first I was about to leave because the friendliness and professionalism fell by the wayside, but the lady made up for it with charm and skill. Unfortunately I don't know the lady's name, but as a boss you can be happy to have found such employees in the catering industry!!! Relieve the burden a little and the lady sells even more (drinks, desserts, etc.) Very nice location with great views! Suitable for a nice evening and good home cooking. Our place in the cozy attic offered a wonderful atmosphere with rustic charm. Although the restaurant was busy and there was a wedding party taking place at the same time, the service was absolutely first class. The service was attentive, warm and surprisingly quick - no wish remained unfulfilled. What was particularly impressive was that our food was served almost at the same time, which is not a given for a large group. And the quality? Simply outstanding! Every dish was lovingly prepared, tasted to the point and left nothing to be desired. The Lohrberg Schänke gave us an unforgettable evening with its excellent service and delicious food. We'll definitely be back!

The Lohrberg-Schenke is always worth a visit. In addition to Frankfurt classics, the regularly changing menu offers numerous good alternatives from salad to wild boar goulash. You should always make a reservation at peak times. You can also get lucky on weekdays. It is definitely worth going to the Lohrberg at least once in every season. The tavern isn't far.

Went here to end my training trip for the military. Ended up meeting my Fiance here years back, although didn't know it at the time when we talked. This place was so relaxed and chill, great low-key vibes and great beer. Really glad I got the free time that last night to stop here. This was such a great place to grab some beers and enjoy the night and overlook Frankfurt. I hope to eventually make it back here.

It was my first time here and I was very pleasantly surprised at how close to Frankfurt you can sit in such a lovely rural setting. The food was very tasty (Frankfurter Schnitzel) and the view from the beer garden over Frankfurt is simply great. We will cycle to the Lohrberg-Schänke more often in the future!

On the way to Frankfurt for a concert we were looking for a place to stop for a break. Because of the good reviews and the positive website, we decided to stay here. The place was lavishly filled, in the style of a Hofbräuhaus. We sat down at a table. We ordered the knuckle and the pan feta. Both were large portions and extremely tasty! Really! And at a great price! You can park nearby, but you have to walk a good 3 minutes.

We ordered schnitzel, which unfortunately wasn't cooked through. At first we wanted to take our food with us, but then we decided to eat inside because it was getting too cold outside. Instead of simply bringing us plates, the waitress rudely told us that we weren't allowed to eat out of the cardboard box - and then even expelled us from the restaurant! Before she even spoke to us, she gave the table above our heads to other guests. This is definitely not how you treat customers! Very disappointing - we won't be coming back here.
