Extrem unverschämtes, Gäste beleidigendes Servicepersonal; hiermit meine ich die männliche Bedienung, die am 12.07.2024 mittags, in der Außengastronomie, beschäftigt wurde. An die Inhaberin oder den Inhaber der Lohrbergschänke: Schmeißt diesen unverschämten Menschen raus, er schadet eurem Geschäft, meine ich.

Kommen schon seit 10 Jahren in regelmässigen Abständen hierher. Tolle Aussicht , gutes Bier und Weinauswahl sowie leckeres rustikales Essen, aber der Service ist total unorganisiert und langsam, man wird nicht gesehen… Man wartet lange, auch auf die Rechnung. Die Kellner sind überfordert und halten sich teilweise an Tischen auf , um mit Gästen zu quatschen.. Beim letzten Besuch mussten wir vorne ohne Aussicht draussen sitzen. Man liess uns nicht auf die Sonnenterrasse , weil dort nur reservierte Tische waren…. Nicht mehr normal…zudem findet in einem überdachten Pilz sonntags Disco statt, mit lauter Musik statt, mitten im idyllischen Garten….früher wurde diese im Sommer abgebaut. Da kehren wir nicht mehr ein.

Wir waren gestern mit Freunden hier essen und es war super. Die Lage ist traumhaft und das Essen sehr gut. Apfelwein, Binding vom Fass und auch der Service war nett … wir waren alle happy ;)

We were there on a Friday evening and had reserved a table. The parking situation is rather difficult. There are three small parking spaces that you have to share with the allotment gardeners and park visitors, otherwise there is only the side of the road, which was also very crowded in both directions. When we entered the beer garden (we were there for the first time), we probably got the wrong entrance out of ignorance. There was also a handwritten "No Passing" sign, but we missed it because it was a bit awkward. We also had two people with walking difficulties with us and were happy about the short distance. But one of the waitresses probably saw it completely differently. She hit the first person in our group on the shoulder and shouted at us if we couldn't read, there was no passage here. Then she ran very angrily into her bar and continued to insult us from there. If we hadn't had an appointment with three other people there for a meeting, we would have left by then at the latest. Despite everything, we enjoyed the food quite well. We had hand cheese, ribs with cabbage, smoked trout, green sauce with egg, asparagus with salmon, favorite schnitzel and the large Lohrberg salad with chicken. The selection is quite extensive for a beer garden, there is something for every taste. However, the hand cheese wasn't actually put in beforehand, it gave the impression that the "music" had simply been poured over the cheese before serving. All the other dishes were okay, but I thought the salad was too overpriced (€18.90) and the chicken breast in it was way too over-seasoned. There was also just a slice of baguette, which I definitely expected more of. The waiter who was responsible for our table was very friendly and in a good mood, in complete contrast to his colleague. Unfortunately, the incident at the beginning overshadowed the whole evening and we certainly won't go there again. I won't let anyone yell at me and then I'll leave my hard-earned money there. Even though the view over Frankfurt is very nice. We didn't take any pictures of the food, as I said, unfortunately the evening was pretty spoiled for us.

Sehr respektloser Umgang mit dem Gast. Wurde soeben von der Bedienung mehrfach nachgeäfft. Mein "DANKESCHÖÖÖN" wurde in belustigender Weise unten den Bedienungen mehrfach laut und belustigend wiederholt. Sehr beleidigendes und verletzendes Verhalten! Ich war seit über 15 Jahren immer wieder gerne Gast in der Lohrberg Schänke und bin über dieses Verhalten schockiert. Das war das letzte Mal, dass ich dort war. Sehr schade!

The food and the location are really great. We found the staff and service to be unappreciative and in a very bad mood. Unfortunately, this clouds the overall picture somewhat.

So you really can't complain about the food. Really classy and delicate. But the ambience and especially the service lead me to give this 1 point rating. We would have to wait over half an hour for drinks. You got the feeling that you were there for the service and not the other way around. It's totally uncomfortable in the restaurant, at least in the front room. Won't eat there anymore.

We were there for lunch. Keller really wanted to remember the orders for all the guests... It was a bit strange and confusing... Well, to each their own. By the way, smiling wasn't his thing either... A little more friendliness would be nice... he just seemed annoyed. Very nice ambience in a wooden style with a beautiful view. Food was ok... But nothing special, at least not at this price... A Caesar salad for 20 euros: lettuce, 5 croutons, 4 mini pieces of chicken (60 g maximum... Rather less), 6 small mushrooms, 1/4 Egg and a few shavings of Parmesan. Unfortunately, the dressing didn't taste like anything... We had to season it generously with salt and pepper. It doesn't work at all, sorry. Price-performance is not right at all.

Today wasn't a good day for you. We had to wait 50 minutes for the Äppelwein tasting and after asking three times. We hope you organize the food and drink in the serving area and the service staff better. Once bad doesn't mean you've lost us as customers. We will be back.

If you're looking for something with Frankfurt flair and food, you've come to the right place! Honest food without 'an's and 'composition'. The green sauce and the potato salad seem to be homemade and the pollack fillet is also freshly breaded in the kitchen. The service is friendly and makes you feel like a regular here. However, all of this comes at a price, and it's not for those on a budget. If you want to take a short walk after your meal, this is the right place on the Lohrberg, with a magnificent view of Frankfurt and Offenbach.

Everything was great, we really liked it. Dogs welcome. The conditions are all super nice and very attentive. We felt very comfortable and it wasn't the last time there.

Das Positive vorweg: die Lohrberg-Schänke ist immer ein Besuch wert. Die Aussicht auf Frankfurt und Umgebung bis zum Spessart, Odenwald und Taunus ist grandios. Das Essen ist hervorragend, die Portionen riesig. Als Senior war sie mir fast zu groß. Da wäre mir eine kleinere (Senioren-)Portion lieber gewesen. Man hat beim Essen die Wahl, entweder nicht alles zu essen und Essen vernichten zu lassen (was für mich keine Option ist) oder mit einer Ranzenspannung nach Hause zu gehen. Vielleicht bietet man in Zukunft auf Wunsch auch halbe Portionsgrößen an. Nun zum Negativen: gegen Ende unseres Besuchs war der vordere Gastraum komplett gefüllt. Das ist für den Besitzer sicher positiv. Dadurch war aber der Lärmpegel so stark angestiegen, dass wir beschlossen schnell zu bezahlen und zu gehen, statt noch ein weiteres Getränk zu bestellen. Trotzdem werden wir wiederkommen und werden uns bemühen frühzeitig zu erscheinen, um die angenehme Atmosphäre genießen zu können, bevor die Lautstärke wieder unerträglich wird.

The Lohrberg-Schänke is highly recommended for both guests and locals due to its unique panoramic location in Frankfurt. The highlight is the large terrace on the slope in the summer months. In all seasons, tasty and high-quality Frankfurt home cooking is served with a touch of sophistication.

Even when there are a lot of guests, the food comes to the table hot and of good quality. If you like nature, appreciate a beautiful view and like good food/apples, this is the right place for you. Portions are decent and prices are reasonable. Service is sometimes a bit rough. But understandable, given the crowds and the nice weather.

We were there with a group on a sunny day. The tavern was therefore, probably surprisingly, very full. Unfortunately, the drink order was more than too long. Food great as always.

It's really good here! Actually everything is recommended, Kasseler is great, cabbage is great, Handkäs is delicious, knuckle is great, with small drawbacks, for example in the gri sauce. is an institution here.

One of the most beautiful places in Frankfurt/outskirts with a wonderful view from the meadow from the bank towers in the west over the Main valley to the Spessart in the east. The tavern is well attended. Outside and inside. In winter there is a closed smoking pavilion outside with an apres-ski atmosphere. Excellent food in decent portions. Upscale Hessian cuisine. Prices are Frankfurt level, not a bargain but ok for Frankfurt. The service often seems to be at its limit, sometimes even beyond it. Then it takes time until you get noticed. The impression is that the organization of who serves which table could still be optimized. Nevertheless and overall a recommendation for every travel guide.

Delicious Hessian cuisine with a view of the skyline and friendly and fast service. The hand-cheese bratwurst with fried onions, green sauce and fried potatoes was a poem and not too expensive. My recommendation: Handkäs with mango-chilli sauce with pomegranate and spring onions

Most beautiful excursion location in Ffm

Not a gourmet temple, but good home cooking, great location, great view and the homemade cake is awesome. The total mix of the audience is also pleasant. Frankfurters simply feel at home here, regardless of class or origin.

Lohrberg Restaurant is in a local Moutain in the Seckback.It's has an amazing view of Frankfurt during the day or night. Alot of activity can be done there and not forgetting the Vineyard. The Restaurant can be rented out for Party or just go have an amazing Dinner night out or Lunch not forgotten the Deserts too. They have traditionally Hessen Food and modern too. Frankfurt Beer or Natural Äppler and modern drinks too. I enjoyed the food and very friendly Services were very good.

Were there spontaneously. Service was nice and friendly and food was tasty and came quickly.

During our recent visit to the Lohrberg Schänke in Frankfurt, we were completely amazed by the unique location and the beautiful view. The menu offers a diverse selection so that there is something for every taste. The atmosphere outside is simply incomparable and makes the location something very special. Unfortunately, we had to wait a little longer at the beginning until we were assigned a table. This was not because there was no free table, but rather seemed to be a result of the waiter in charge taking a smoke break and paying little attention to the waiting guests. This was a little disappointing, especially as the hospitality and attentiveness of the service contribute so much to the overall experience. Ultimately the owners kindly assigned us a table outside, which we really appreciated. One point that could be improved, however, concerns the quality of some dishes: the fried potatoes, for example, were not fully cooked, which was a shame. In summary, the Lohrberg Schänke is a top location with potential for exceptional service. A little more commitment and attention from staff could improve the experience even further to ensure all guests feel welcome and valued. Despite the small service deficiencies, we look forward to coming back and enjoying the unique atmosphere again. I forgot to mention that it's of course great that dogs are welcome🐾🙌🏾

Somehow you don't think you're in Frankfurt. Really cool location.

Great place to chill and eat well, unfortunately there is only a small amount of space so it is usually fully booked. It's a shame we didn't get a place again after the 3rd attempt. Even if the outside area is open, there is hardly a chance of getting a seat. One tip: just don't come by car, the parking lot is hopelessly overcrowded when the weather is nice, unfortunately most people freak out pretty quickly because everyone behaves recklessly. So it's better to come and relax by bike

The place was visually quite beautiful, but our second visit will probably have been our last. The food was okay, except that one of us got a veal schnitzel with asparagus instead of a pork schnitzel with fries and salad... and the only comment from the waiter was: why did you order it with asparagus? Because we wanted to order drinks again, we waited forever until someone came and even when we wanted to pay we waited at the table for at least 30 minutes and at the counter for 10 minutes because we were tired of the nerves. And the comments from the waitress as we left were the final proof for us that we won't come here again with such cheeky words. All in all, this stay was very disappointing for us. Our tip is to pay a little more attention to your guests, you've lost us

When the weather is nice, it's a nice destination for children and adults. The food is good - value for money is good. The service is very attentive. When the weather is nice it can of course be very crowded and very noisy because everything is open.

Na klar, tolle Lage, lohnender Ausflug an den Lohrberg ohnehin. Volles Haus im Restaurant und der Service kam einfach nicht hinterher. Das, was dann aus der Küche kam, war deutlich unterdurchschnittlich.

Great location, good food, service changes between hot and crap depending on your stress level. So: good luck! It can be (very) worth it.

It has diminished a lot. We have been regular customers for years and have always found the service and food to be very good. There appears to have been a change in staff. The friendliness and service is above all else. So rude and annoying. You literally have to run after the waitress if you want to order or pay for something. Things were different in Richie's time; it is unclear whether he still works there. When it comes to food, the taste is no longer what it used to be. Tasteless, watered down and overpriced. Price/performance is definitely no longer right here. We were there about 4 weeks ago and were hoping for a bad day. But since our visit yesterday, the Lohrberg-Schänke hasn't seen us again. A pity.

Beautiful tavern, in the middle of the countryside and with a view of Frankfurt. Whether it's a main meal or a delicious dessert, everything is there. The lack of parking spaces is critical. You either come by bus or you hike a bit or is there very early. Traffic chaos is particularly common on nice, sunny days.

Cozy restaurant. The service was great, as I expect in an apple wine tavern, direct and with Frankfurt charm. Despite the many other guests, the food came very quickly and was delicious. Price performance top!

When the weather is nice, the Lohrberg and the restaurant are completely overcrowded. Therefore it is best to reserve. The next problem is finding a parking space. The dishes on offer are the typical Frankfurt specialties, but also salads, vegetarian dishes or a chicken bowl. Everything was very tasty and the portions were really big. Great value for money.

Card payments are absolutely discouraged. We were insulted and felt very uncomfortable. Actually a great place. Unfortunately, incredibly unfriendly. No cash no service

The food is very good, unfortunately the rooms are very noisy. The waitress (older blonde woman) is constantly annoyed and passes this on to the guests. You're afraid to reorder something.

The food surprised me very positively. Actually, I'm not a big fan of German cuisine, and we only ordered the bratwurst with hand cheese as a side dish with the beer, but the food was unexpectedly delicious, not just the green sauce, but the whole package was right. Perfect from reservation to payment. A clean and cozy restaurant that is very rustically furnished and has a beautiful view of Frankfurt. The food came quickly and was plentiful and very tasty! I always come here for the atmosphere when sitting outside. It's easier to switch off here in nature than in the beer garden in the city. The food tastes great and the drinks are fresh and well chilled. I can recommend you to go here and linger for a while, preferably at sunset.

Good home cooking with modern accents.

Has decreased significantly. We enjoyed eating there regularly, but yesterday we were massively disappointed. It's not just that the food didn't taste as good anymore (the schnitzels were the highlight so far, but now unfortunately they're just mediocre). The worst were the waiters, who initially seated us at a completely dirty table. After we moved, we had to change the table again, which again wasn't clean. After sitting for a long time and shouting, a man decided to take the order, although you had the impression that the guy was completely stoned. He had already forgotten the order as he walked around the corner and immediately asked again what we had ordered. The lady who served us afterwards was so annoyed and unfriendly, which is something you don't get from Lohrberg. Until now, the customer has always been king and everyone has served in a friendly and polite manner. Yesterday, however, nothing. One dish was also forgotten to be served and when I asked politely about it, the woman muttered a condescending “it’ll be right there.” After we decided not to tip, the woman slammed the receipt on the table with a snarky goodbye and disappeared at the same time. Lohrberg, you should really make improvements to get back to your old level. You no longer want to be served like that or have the food prepared like that at these prices. There are no corners and ends missing.

"Mandatory program" on Frankfurt's Lohrberg, with a great view of the city. Absolutely recommended, home-style cooking. For me, the tavern “lives” more because of the location, not because of the food... Therefore particularly recommended in summer when you can sit outside.

...impossible, in today's great weather we wanted to go for a drink after going for a walk (for the first time!)...when we asked the staff if you could also order from them, they told us NO - but they did straight away A couple next to us served and cashed in!!!...that's how you scare away new guests!!!

Der Mann ist gierig hat keine Manieren, Herr Geschäftsführer Christian, ist das Personal so knapp oder warum kellnert so etwas bei Ihnen?
