We spent a lovely evening in an attractive location where we felt very comfortable. I would particularly like to highlight the excellent service staff, who always looked after us in a friendly and attentive manner. It was a pleasure to interact with the friendly and courteous staff and we had some entertaining moments together. Unfortunately, the food that evening did not live up to our expectations. Although we started with two aperitifs that were exactly to our taste and were looking forward to the following courses, we were disappointed on several levels. This ultimately led to the two stars being deducted because the taste was not sufficient in this price segment. Unfortunately, the restaurant only offers indoor seating and apparently does not have air conditioning. A large fan at the counter provided some cooling, but was still not enough on a hot summer day. Our meal began with an obligatory greeting from the kitchen: a well-matched gazpacho. However, we only noticed that bread was supposed to be served with it when the table next to us received the soup with bread. We were still served bread with a delicious fermented date butter. The first course consisted of raw marinated sea bream, which unfortunately was completely drowned in the sweet sour cream. The dish lacked depth and acidity, and the high, straight edge of the plate made cutting with a knife difficult. The second course, grilled sweet corn, pleased my taste, but didn't appeal to my companion. The wine served with it was tasty, but didn't harmonize with the dish. The third course, celeriac, was one of the best of the evening, but that was mainly because the dish was particularly alive with the sauce. It was strong and flavorful, especially compared to the other courses. The green herbalists who were there should have imitated a Frankfurt green sauce. In terms of taste, the herbal mixture was rather incomplete. A little refreshment in between was the sorrel ice cream with a few salt crystals, which we really enjoyed. The monkfish in beer batter was also excellently prepared and tasted very good, accompanied by a tartare sauce, which was more similar to a Frankfurt green sauce and was refined with a slight acidity and a few gherkins. The dessert, blackberry cream ice cream, was very filling. The buckwheat could perhaps have been used a little more sparingly to give the other components more space. The last course, a Harz cheese cream, will remain in my memory for a long time - but not in a positive sense. The intensely tasting mascarpone cream was present in such large quantities that a good three quarters could have been left out. The additional pieces of resin placed on the cream were simply too much of a good thing. No matter which component of the plate you tried along with the cream, you simply swallowed it mercilessly. The only bright spot of this course was the wine accompaniment, which neutralized the taste quite well. In summary, it was a nice evening, but the dishes often seemed like they wanted to, but didn't succeed. The plates were not well balanced, there was a lack of courage in seasoning, and the use of acid could have been more intense. The dishes were visually appealing, but the taste did not live up to what the outside promised. The room temperature was also uncomfortably high until late in the evening, and we were happy when we finally stepped outside. In this price segment, not only the food but also the temperature in the dining room should be right. Despite everything, we had a lovely evening overall and we have fond memories of the excellent service provided by the service staff. It's rare to find such attentive and friendly staff, and their friendliness made the evening more pleasant despite the culinary disappointments.

Definitely a hidden gem in Nordend, the food was delicious and impeccable and definitely worth the price. I’m not sure if the restaurant is a pescatarian restaurant but all the courses had seafood only (ie no meat). We enjoyed the main dish in particular, the fish and scallop were perfectly steamed and paired very well with the sauce. The home made bread was delicious and probably the best I’ve had in Frankfurt! We will definitely visit again in the future!

Great experience at this slightly hidden restaurant in the Nordend. The decorations are very pretty and the staff very attentive and nice. The food was also great - the steamed fish with scallop was aromatic and went well with the sauce. I also liked the eggplant dish with its subtle smokiness. Price is fair for what you get.

We were there as part of the wine gourmet weeks. The food was excellent! Everything is prepared to perfection, tastes nuanced and balanced. Unfortunately, the Grüner Veltliner (naturally cloudy) that was served with it was off; we found it monotonous. Previously we had an Alsatian Cremant, which went wonderfully with the starters. The semi-dry Riesling from the Moselle for dessert was excellent. By the way, I personally don't need "natural wines", I think they are overrated and a short-term hype. Unfortunately, the service didn't really impress us. First we had to sit at the narrowest and really uncomfortable table in front of the toilets, even though the restaurant was less than half full. It was only at my request that we were given a better place. The waitress also promised a bowl of water for our dog, but it never came. We are used to this now and are therefore self-sufficient 🐶. In addition, my wife was a little late, which soon led to a stern note that our table would only be reserved for us until 8 p.m. The time (a good hour and a half) was easily enough. Hence the star deduction with the request that the criticism be understood constructively and as an indication of what can be done better.

A converted shop shines with a cool restaurant look. It becomes exclusive with discreet entry via bell, no real sign and immediate cloakroom service. And it should also be mentioned here: the service remained charming and professional until the end of the first shift. The menu works by selecting the number of courses in the menu. Clear, creative, we are excited. The non-alcoholic house aperitif with grape juice and roasted hazelnut is great, and the other two signature drinks are also popular. As a greeting from the kitchen, a celery praline is served, which perfectly enhances the taste of the vegetables. It's just a shame that the very next course uses strong celery zabaglione again. The next course with the confit egg and spinach leaves us happy: if only Mom had served this traditional dish with truffle puree in the past. Personally, I find the lentils to be very spicy, which I can eat well, but I find it inconsistent with the other ingredients of the next course. I completely say goodbye to the monkfish with morels and goat butter. The individual components are very good, but the interaction is not right for me at all. I would also have given the fish another 30 seconds to cook. I wasn't charged for the course without asking, which I find very accommodating. Everything green is sensational: the sorrel ice cream as a taste rejuvenator in between and the mousse-like pistachio dessert make you happy! So all in all: the flowers were worth the visit for me, even if I don't follow some of the kitchen creativity!

Ein umgebautes Ladenlokal erstrahlt im coolen Restaurantlook. Exklusiv wird es durch diskreten Einlass per Klingel, kein wirkliches Schild und umgehenden Garderobenservice. Und hiermit auch gleich erwähnt: der Service blieb charmant und professionell bis zum Ende der ersten Schicht. Die Karte funktioniert über Auswahl der Gangzahl der Menüs. Übersichtlich, kreativ, wir sind gespannt. Der alkoholfreie Haus Aperitif mit Traubensaft und gerösteter Haselnuss ist großartig, auch die beiden anderen Signaturedrinks finden Gefallen. Als Gruß aus der Küche wird eine Selleriepraline gereicht, die den Geschmack des Gemüses hervorragend darausarbeitet. Schade nur, dass gleich im nächsten Gang schon wieder mit kräftiger Selleriezabaione gearbeitet wird. Der nächste Gang mit dem confiertem Ei und Blattspinat macht uns froh: hätte Mutti das Traditionsgericht doch früher auch mit Trüffelpüree serviert. Die Linsen empfinde ich persönlich als sehr scharf, was ich gut essen kann, aber in der Passung mit den anderen Zutaten des nächsten Ganges für mich unstimmig wird. Beim Seeteufel mit Morcheln und Ziegenbutter verabschiede ich mich völlig. Die einzelnen Komponenten sind sehr gut, das Zusammenspiel stimmt für mich überhaupt nicht. Zudem hätte ich dem Fisch noch 30 weitere Sekunden Garzeit gegeben. Ungefragt wurde mir der Gang nicht berechnet, was ich sehr entgegenkommend finde. Sensationell ist alles Grüne: das Sauerampfereis als Geschmacksverjünger zwischendurch und auch das mousseartige Pistaziendessert machen glücklich! Also in Summe: das Blumen war für mich den Besuch wert, auch wenn ich in manchen Punkten der Küchenkreativität nicht mitgehe!

I don't think the price-performance ratio is quite balanced. First of all, the reception and the non-alcoholic cocktails as an aperitif were perfect. For us the strongest course was the cod. All the others were good but somehow the spice was missing here too. The wine accompaniment was not ours. For me, the organic and organic wines didn't go well with the dishes, but that's subjective. But the vermouth with the cheese was very good. Maybe we'll try the flower shop next door.

We had a relaxing evening at a private event. It was a perfect event from the start. The charming location, the excellent drinks (even without alcohol), excellent wines, outstanding cuisine and the absolutely calm but still very attentive service - everything was just right. Rating “highly recommended”!

Ambiance: The restaurant is modern and stylishly furnished and offers a pleasant atmosphere. Service: The service was friendly, but wasn't entirely convincing in the price category. Knowing the ingredients of each dish by heart is impressive, but not enough. It would be desirable for the waitress to ask if everything tasted good or if we would like something more to drink before asking the guests to leave the room for the understudy and encouraging them to enjoy the dessert as quickly as possible. The restaurant was almost empty at this point. Food: While we enjoyed the starters very much, the main course and dessert were rather boring.

First time I’ve been thoroughly disappointed in a restaurant. Food was ok but overpriced for what it was. Definitely do not take the wine pairing - bad wines that ruined the meal. The service was not at all in line with the price tag and needs serious improvement

Some of the best food and service in Frankfurt! We go for lunch sometimes and it's always amazing. They usually have a set main item for lunch and then options for salad, soup, bread, and dessert. You can tell they use quality ingredients and really care about the food they serve. The service is incredible, Zeneit is so sweet, funny, and helpful. They are also a very cozy and romantic dinner spot and have a wine bar in the evenings.

This restaurant is top notch! The food is excellent and the service too! I've eaten here twice now and both times have been great. Good place for a small get-together with friends or a romantic date night. Small and cozy. Make sure you make a reservation ahead of time. Cash and credit/debit card accepted.

Beautiful romantic restaurant. I loved every part of it, it is cosy, romantic with great food and even better drinks. To enter you have to book a table and then ring on the restaurant door. You cannot just walk in. Only 7 to 8 tables in darker yet romantic atmosphere, I would say ideal for couples. You choose two Appetizers, main dish is predetermined and you choose between dessert and cheese selection. Service was very good and kind and discreet. Food is seasonal and creative, changed often if I understood well. Highly recommended

We visited Blumen noe dark night during The book fair, and it was lovely! The food was excellent, vegetable oriented combined with high cuisine. Even the fish (skate) was great. Atmosphere was great, down to earth and cool, and service friendly, easy, etc. I hope to eat here again!!

Nachdem wir vor 2 Jahren das letzte Mal sehr angetan waren von dem kleinen Lokal im Nordend und es irgendwie vom Radar verloren hatten, wollten wir nun endlich mal wieder hin. Mit der Reservierung hat alles problemlos - trotz Buchmesse - geklappt. Hätte uns das stutzig machen sollen? Vielleicht. Es fing an mit einem schönen Hausaperitif aus Rum, Quitte, Limette, Ingwer - dann kam der Gruß aus der Küche. Ein recht großer Gruß, der sich eigentlich als Käsegang entpuppte. Geschmack und Konsistenz erinnerte frappierend an Kochkäse mit süßsauren Elementen untenrum. Da schnurrte der Magen schon mal etwas zusammen, statt sich wohlgefällig zu öffnen. Scherzhaft haben wir gesagt - so, jetzt sind wir satt und könnten gehen. Das Brot war wunderbar und die etwas saure Pflaumenbutter sehr interessant – da waren wir noch arglos und wussten nicht, dass uns die Säure bei jedem Gang heimsuchen wird. Der erste Gang war eine Art vegetarische Gänseleber aus Pilz auf Brioche mit süßsaurer Quittenschnitte, ganz schön gemacht aber eben das vierte Mal süßsauer wenn man Butter und Aperitif mitzählt. Der zweite Gang wurde als Moronensuppe annonciert. Es war eher ein Brei, der darunter ebenfalls süßsaure Geschmackskomponenten hatte. Könnte langsam aufhören mit den fruchtigen Zutaten - muss ja nicht bei jedem Gang sein. Als Zwischengruß und Gaumenkitzler kam dann ein gesalzenes Limettensorbet, das uns etwas die Gesichtszüge hat entgleiten lassen. Geschmacklich so dicht sauerbittersalzig, dass man es kaum essen konnte. Zum Glück war es nur eine sehr kleine Portion. Pheew! Der Hauptgang, Rochenflügel mit Kartoffelpüree, war etwas hart am Salz aber ganz fein gemacht - mit ebenfalls etwas saurem Dekor. Das Dessert (Walnussrahmeis) hätte etwas rahmiger sein können und auch dort wieder Säure durch Apfel. Zusammengefasst waren eigentlich immer ähnliche Aromenwelten auf dem Teller (Umami, süß, sauer, bitter), was sich auf der Karte vielseitig anhörte, wurde am Gaumen zu wiederholt, und was nicht zusammenpasst ist nicht innovativ sondern einfach nicht lecker. Dafür ist es dann leider auch zu hochpreisig (4 kleine Gänge 78 EUR), wobei mir die Börse nicht wirklich wichtig ist, wenn das Mahl eine echte Gaumenfreude bedeutet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich - aber letztlich sind wir alle enttäuscht von dannen gezogen und werden das Blumen wieder vom Radar verschwinden lassen. Schade!

My husband and I came at the recommendation of friends who live in the area and eat here often. We had an amazing meal with impeccable service!! The chef was able to accommodate all my food restrictions and allergies that are quite complicated and limiting! Massively recommend this restaurant!!

Tolles Restaurant ganz in der Nähe vom Friedi :) Micha und sein Team machen eine wunderbare Arbeit mit tollem Essen und sehr leckeren Drinks 🍹🍷 Wenn man nach dem Essen nicht genug hat, dann kann man nebenan noch in der Fleuri Weinbar den einen oder anderen Absacker nehmen ☺️

Enfin un restaurant vraiment différent fait par des individualistes inspirés pour des individualistes éclairés. Des produits top composés et cuisinés harmonieusement avec créativité mais sans surjouer. Un concept où une attention toute particulière est donnée aux boissons sous toutes ses formes. Dommage qu‘une des serveuses était mal branchée le soir de notre passage avec une attitude plutôt „schroff“ et pas aimable du tout.

Kurzer spontaner Besuch, um an der Bar noch ein Gläschen Wein zu trinken und uns einen kleinen Eindruck zu verschaffen 😉...was an diesem Abend möglich war, und uns sehr gut gefallen hat... der Wein, die ganze Atmosphäre, die Einrichtung wunderbar!!! Schönes, kleines Restaurant mit kreativer Küche im Nordend. Das Menü hat uns absolut überzeugt. Perfekt abgestimmt, der sous-vide gegarte Skrei brillierte mit fantastischer Konsistenz. Volle Punktzahl für das Essen. Das Ambiente im etwas bemüht-hippen Retro-Style mit doch recht lauter Musik (die eine entspannte Unterhaltung eher anstrengend macht) ist sicherlich nicht jedermanns Geschmack. Was uns allerdings absolut enttäuscht hat waren die Weine/bzw. die Weinauswahl. Da wir keine Weinbegleitung wünschten, fragten wir die Restaurantleiterin nach einer Weinkarte. Die Frage wurde mit der Gegenfrage "Wollt ihr was Rotes oder was Weißes?" beantwortet. In einem Restaurant in der Preisklasse ganz klar ein No-Go. Rot oder weiß? Nunja. Es kam tatsächlich keine Weinkarte, sondern ein recht beliebiger Sauvignon blanc von der Loire. Trinkbar aber ziemlich unaufgeregt. Auch die zwei weiteren offenen Weine die wir verkostet haben, überzeugten trotz lautmalerischer Präsentation des Mitarbeiters nicht. Sicherlich alles Geschmackssache. Für uns driften hier aber der Anspruch an das Essen (wirklich exzellent) und an die Weine und deren Präsentation weit auseinander. Daher zwei Punkte Abzug. Die Kritik einiger Vorredner, dass man etwas "zügig serviert bekommt", da zwei Seatings pro Abend vergeben werden, kann ich nicht teilen. Wir fühlten uns nicht gedrängelt, sondern konnten in Ruhe das Essen genießen.

Ich finde hier das Essen wirklich sensationell zusammengestellt. Mit vielen kleinen Extras und sehr stimmig. Ist natürlich auch hochpreisog aber wenn man sich das ab und zu mal bewusst goennt passt das schon. Ansonsten sind die Weine sehr interessant. Meist kommen naturweine zum Ausschank die völlig andere Geschmäcker bieten. Ansonsten stimmt der Service und man sitz sehr gemütlich im sou Terrain. Da man nur drin sitzen kann ist es für mich im Sommer eher nicht geeignet...

Essen versalzen, die Gänge kamen viel zu schnell Musik zu laut und unpassend, Service zwar freundlich, aber fast arrogant und wenig aufmerksam … das war vor drei Jahren ganz anders! So Schade: romantisch und besonders geht anders! Lediglich die Einrichtung ist schön geblieben…

Das Blumen, das im wunderschönen Nordend gelegen ist, ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! Das Essen ist fantastisch, Preis Leistung stimmt auch und der Service ist sehr aufmerksam. Tolles Ambiente im Restaurant selbst und mein Highlight: man klingelt, um ins Restaurant zu kommen 😊

Im 2-Monat-Rhythmus wechselt hier das Menü und ist jedes Mal hervorragend. Cooles Ambiente, szenig und gehobenes Preisniveau - etwas für besondere Abende zu zweit.

Still one of my favorite restaurants in Frankfurt because it’s the perfect blend between cozy, chatty and happy staff, a great bar and wine, with excellent food. We sat outside on the curb next to their sister wine bar on the curb, which made it feel even more casual (in a good way) and enjoyed a crisp, light and fresh menu and wine pairings perfectly suited for a long summer night.

Das Blumen ist ein wirklich besonderer Ort, um einen Tisch für einen besonderen Anlass zu reservieren. Das Menü muss einem natürlich gefallen, aber es ist möglich, auf einzelne Bestandteile zu verzichten, hier wird immer Rücksicht genommen.

Das Ambiente ist gemütlich-eng, fast familiär. Hervorragende Speisen, tolle und ungewohnte Kombinationen in einem regelmäßig wechselnden Menü. Der Service agiert auf Augenhöhe, sehr zuvorkommend und mit ausgezeichneten Kenntnissen über die Gerichte und ihre Zutaten. Wir wählten die Weinbegleitung zum Menü, die durchweg sehr gut harmonierte und mit Natural Weinen und einem PetNat überraschen konnte. Preis/Leistung absolut in Ordnung.

Für mich eines der besten (Fine Dining) Restaurants in Frankfurt. Tolles Ambiente und top Service. Hier wird komplett ohne Fleisch gekocht und es fehlt nichts. Gemüse und Fisch werden hier in Perfektion und kreativ auf die Teller gebracht. Auch auf die Weinempfehlung kann man sich verlassen. Da trinkt man auch gern mal ein Glas mehr! Tolle Location für ein Dinner zu zweit. Und es gab sogar - was nicht auf der Karte stand - als Alternative noch einen weiteren vegetarischen Gang.

Unfortunately, a disappointing evening. We reserved and ordered the six course menu but were told that we'd have only two hours for that. When we were on our 4th course, we learned that we didn't have time to complete but would have to cut it to five instead of six. Although we paid €412, the service was not focused on us but on the second shift of guests arriving at 8 pm. Nevermind that the place, a repurposed basement store with a front window, was only half full. When our waitress hurried to us with the check we were kind of on the last spoon of the desert. And - surprise - we were charged six courses instead of five and there was an extra bottle on the check. Clearly, we were in the way of something more important. That's a pity, because the chef had put some effort and thought into several of the courses to attempt to create an enjoyable dining experience.

Insgesamt gut, aber an vielen Stellen Overhyped. Die Location ist gemütlich und ehrlich eingerichtet. Es wirkt etwas altmodisch/klassisch und gleichzeitig jung und hip (wie bei Oma im Wohnzimmer - im positiven Sinne, man fühlt sich wohl). Der Raum ist wirklich klein und bietet Platz für 8-10 Tische. Für die Preisklasse versucht man mehr zu sein als man ist. Teller haben abgeplatzte Ecken, die Weingläser sind sehr einfach. Durch die doppelte Belegung wird man sehr zügig abgefertigt. Zielgruppe sind wohl Hipster oder Yuppies. Interessantes Menü mit einem Mix aus Deutscher Küche, regionalen und internationalen Einflüssen. Sehr kräftig abgeschmeckt, mit pfiffigen Ideen. Leider recht vegan, wenig oder gar kein Fleisch (bei uns nur ein Gang mit einer kleinen Portion Fisch, Rest vegetarisch). 4-Gänge mit wahlweise +Zwischengang und +Käse. Stellenweise würde man auf dem Teller mehr Komplexität und/oder mehr Inhalt erwarten. Die Weinkarte ist wirklich traurig mit einer lieblosen Auswahl auf 2-3 Seiten. Wir hatten die Weinbegleitung (€9 pro Glas), welche ebenso enttäuschend war. Uns wurden halbwegs passende, aber sehr einfache Weine gereicht. Ein Naturwein, der halb gekorkt war, ein einfacher Riesling (12€ die Flasche), ein einfacher roter Cuvée mit Kopfschmerzpotential (€8 die Flasche), ein Cidre zum Nachtisch (€5 die Flasche, €9 das 10cl Glas?). Die Sommelier Kenntnisse des Service sind rudimentär. Der Espresso trotz La Marzocco kein Genuss (zu Sauer, Mühle ist falsch eingestellt…) Insgesamt ein netter Abend zu zweit. Pro Person sollte man um die 120-150€ rechnen. Wie ‚Frankfurt Geht Aus 2022‘ auf die ausgezeichnete Bewertung kommt ist mir schleierhaft. Zweieinhalb Sterne Abzug für die Weine, die unverhältnismäßigen Preise und das Essen/Konzept. Gut aber schwer zu empfehlen, es gibt besseres in Frankfurt.
