We eat at Amoroso regularly and it's always fantastic! The Amoroso team is super friendly and always makes us want to come back. I recommend the pasta arrabiata, especially as a starter. The salt-crusted fish is always excellent, as is the tartare duo. Amoroso also has by far the best view of the Alte Oper compared to the neighboring restaurants. Absolutely recommended!

My visit to Amoroso was simply perfect. The stylish, cozy atmosphere and the fantastic view of the opera made the evening something special. The service was first class - attentive, friendly and with a passion for Italian cuisine. The food was excellent: fresh ingredients, expertly prepared dishes and a tiramisu that rounded off the evening perfectly. An all-round successful experience that I can only recommend to every lover of Italian cuisine. I'll definitely be back!

I wasn't allowed to use the toilet

Unfortunately, the high-priced restaurant on Opernplatz was disappointing. Both the service and the food were third-rate and too expensive. Ordered drinks were not brought, supposedly warm bread was just hard and stale. Sorry, but that's not how you inspire your customers, it's a shame😠

Best location on Opernplatz and that's what you pay the price for. Unfortunately, the food and service have declined recently. I hope that there will be more focus here again and that people will treat their guests more carefully.

6 of us ate there today. The service was an absolute disaster. The cutlery was literally thrown at my father-in-law. We were served by 5 different waiters in the 2 hours we were there. Nobody really felt responsible. Main courses arrived very late. Starters were delicious. The Jaupthang was also ok, but absolutely no value for money. The creme brulee was a touch of nothing. Was maybe 1.5 tablespoons total. As decoration there was brown old mint and a whole strawberry that was still frozen and looked disgusting. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant. The location is nice, but unfortunately it has nothing else to offer.

Actually nicely located at the old opera, but service was very bad. Not served at the beginning, then drinks & Received the starter - it was ok - forgot the next drinks and didn't manage to get the main course in 1.5 hours, not very friendly.

The food, the ambience, the atmosphere, the attitude to life, but also the drinks, especially the Espresso Martini from Flavio - best in town ;)

You are basically paying for the location as the food is average and the service is okay

Unfortunately, price-performance doesn't match here at all. The food is completely overpriced and, at the prices quoted, is of inferior quality. In addition, the portions are extremely small. The bread that you get at every table in advance with a dip and olives causes bloody gums and the dip tastes like nothing. The fish for over €40 is also well prepared but unfortunately tasteless. The vegetables were extremely few and cooked through. The service is annoyed, stressed and does not give the customer a feeling of well-being. Finally, a criticism that is certainly a matter of taste, but the audience didn't like it at all. The motto here is: “see and be seen”. Not our taste. As if that weren't enough, constant harassment from homeless people who ask for money at the tables is also included.

Bad quality of food, not a true italian restaurant since they cook everything in butter and the sercice super slow.. for such prices and location you have higher expectations

What a beautiful restaurant with opera house right in front of you. Delicious food, perfectly cooked to fine dining standards. Unfortunately it's too expensive so I couldn't order more and eat to my heart's content.

I tried creme brulee, but the coffee was good. A slightly touristy cafe is not very good. Also, they make you sit down and ask you to give them too much.

Fantastic food in a very beautiful setting

We asked this evening if we could get a table. The first waiter said we should wait 2 minutes. After 25 minutes of waiting, another waiter came and took two people who came 20 minutes after us. When asked that we were waiting longer, the waiter became loud and explained passionately that he didn't know who was there first. We didn't react at first and waited another 5 minutes. After a total of 30 minutes of waiting, we were shown a table. After we sat down, 5 minutes later the first waiter came to the table and asked who gave us this seat. We replied that it was the colleague with the long hair. He then said: "Then tell him to serve you, I already have enough tables here." We waited another 5 minutes without being given a menu. After a total wait of 45 minutes, we moved on hungry. At Alfios next door we were treated with respect and hospitality. Waiters like those at Amoroso should never be employed anywhere, especially not in such a beautiful location.

Unfortunately, a lot has changed. The Amoroso has more and more the flair of the Fressgass. Service absolutely snooty and arrogant and then bad and rude. Toilets are in a miserable condition on Friday evenings. Paper towels and toilet paper cannot be found. Information to this effect will be ignored. Food is delicious, but incredibly expensive. The special charm of the location has been lost.

Out on the terrace at night, you get a great view of the lit up skyscrapers and plaza.

Second time at Amoroso. Food average and service very bad. Asked for a glass of tap water with the double espresso, which was refused with a stupid grimace. Not recommended.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Frankfurt City. The food lives up to its price. When it's full, you sometimes have to wait a while for food and drink to arrive. However, time goes by quickly given the atmosphere. If you like high-quality Italian food, you should visit the restaurant.

Unfortunately only mixed feelings... Had a pasta with fish - very thin and fatty sauce - the fish was rather rubbery. However, the price is correspondingly high, so you could expect a little more here - maybe just a bad day... However, the atmosphere at the place is very nice!

Great location and very good food. Unfortunately the service is just bad! The staff is very arrogant! You only get attention when you signal sales. You also have to wait a long time for the food. We waited on the terrace for 30 minutes for the order to be taken and then another 20 minutes for the drink to be brought. 3 different waiters served us. The pasta we ordered was very salty.. disappointed with the service and the salty food! tasteless!. a far cry from Italian pasta.

We ate at Amoroso for the first time on Saturday evening and will definitely go there again. The food was really exceptionally good. The service was top and we had a fantastic time.

Absolutely amazing. Even better than in Italy (from an Italian)

I liked it so much that I returned a few days later. I found the staff extremely kind and friendly. The first day we went we ordered a burrata and an artichoke to share which were very good, as a second course I ordered the ravioli of the day which were fig with Serrano ham and they were spectacular, however what took the prize of the night was the pistachio dessert. A delicious pistachio volcano which we devoured every last bit. We also ordered cheesecake for dessert which was also very good. For our second visit we ordered two carpaccio in the center and for the main course I ordered a pasta with truffle that was very good. Obviously we repeated the pistachio volcano for dessert. The place is small and cozy, it has a great terrace with a view of the opera that can surely be enjoyed a lot in warmer times. The prices are somewhat high but if you want to treat yourself to a delicious dinner I definitely recommend it.

Der sprichwörtliche Hunger hat uns im Dezember,durchnässt und frierend ins Amoroso an der Alten Oper getrieben.Es war etwa 16.30 Uhr und genau das ist schon lobend hervorzuheben.Wo findet man heute noch ein gutes Restaurant,daß mittags oder wie in diesem Fall sogar durchgehend geöffnet hat.Wir aßen gegrillte Calamaretti auf Wildkräutersalat (perfekt),Vitello Tonnato und (eine riesen Portion) hausgemachte Agnolotti mit Fassone-Rind gefüllt mit schwarzen Trüffeln.Alles von allerbester Qualität und Frische.Der Service ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam (Parmesan wird am Tisch frisch über die Pasta gerieben)Die Weine sind gut und werden stilvoll in schönen Gläsern serviert,die Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich, so wie man sich ein italienisches Restaurant im possitiven Sinn vorstellt.Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Comida preparada e apresentada com primor; ambiente pequeno, mas bem aconchegante e equipe gentil e acolhedora. Recomendo.

Spontan zum Glück noch einen Tisch bekommen, bevor wir in die Alte Oper gegangen sind. Ambiente sehr geschmackvoll, Service wirklich sympathisch und aufmerksam, Essen unglaublich lecker! Gerne wieder…!

Die Seezunge Wildefang einfach vorzüglich! Das Personal super locker und freundlich. Der Gast steht absolut in Vordergrund. Danke ich komme wieder.

Das Amoroso enttäuscht NIE, ob nun Hauptgang oder Dessert! Es ist einen Besuch wert auch, wenn die Preise gehoben sind.

Wir waren zu viert hier essen und es fabelhaft. Der Service war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Als Vorspeise gab es gegrillte Calamaretti und Carpaccio, beides hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Der Hauptgang, Trüffel tagliatelle und Fisch, war exzellent. Es wurde sehr großzügig Trüffel verwendet, nicht nur fürs Auge 😉 Preislich ist es sehr teuer, aber angesichts des Essens und der Lage in Ordnung… Frankfurter Niveau.

Für das Preisniveau habe ich mir mehr erwartet. Insgesamt lange Wartezeiten, essen war nicht schlecht aber auch nicht der reisser. Tolle Lage, freundliches Personal, was aber teilweise lange auf sich warten lässt.

Ein Muss für Jeden, der authentische italienische Küche mit der wohl schönsten Location in Frankfurt sucht. Direkt an der alten Oper, 1 Minute vom Parkhaus entfernt.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Service der Kellner war hervorragend.

Aufpassen.. hier nimmt man es mit den Preisen nicht so ernst .. habe gestern für ein kleines Wasser, ein Glas Wein und einen Salat 56€ bezahlt .. kann vorne und hinten nicht stimmen ..

Waren schon öfters im Amoroso. Die Lage an der alten Oper ist natürlich top.Essen, Freundlichkeit des Personals und Ambiente sind unschlagbar. Wurden immer freundlich und charmant empfangen. Weiter so und bis zum nächsten Mal 👍🥂🍾

Ein Vorzeigeitaliener an einem Standort, wie er prominenter kaum sein könnte. Das Amorosa ist direkt an der Alten Oper in Frankfurt. Ohne Reservierung geht hier an vielen Abenden gar nichts. Wir konnten Anfang September draußen sitzen. Trotz Hochbetrieb war der Service flott und freundlich bis witzig. Das kennt man von männerdominierten Italienern auch anders. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Die Vorspeisen nach Brot und Butter waren wirklich reichlich. Auch die Hauptspeisen sind nicht klein. Grenzwertig sind die Preise. Ich ziehe keinen Stern ab, weil man das wissen kann vorher. Wem es zu teuer ist, kann und sollte sich in Frankfurt etwas anderes suchen. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es, weil man als Vegetarier verloren ist. Jedenfalls laut Speisekarte.

Wem das Motto der heutigen Oberflächlichen ist "sehen und gesehen werden", der ist hier genau richtig, denn ich gebe zwar gerne Geld für gutes Essen aus, aber nicht wenn man abgezockt wird. Übertrieben kleine Portionen für grosses Geld, aber der Laden ist voll, sodass ich daraus schliesse, dass eben vielen das Motto wichtiger ist.

Ganz hervorragend, sehr hochpreisig aber das Geld wert. Das Kalbskotelett war ein Traum. Werde sicher wiederkommen.

Estive no local para almoçar com uma menina no dia em que conhecemos o centro de Frankfurt,mas me assustei com os preços.O local é comum,serve na rua,como tantos outros,mas tem preços abusivos de mais de 20 euros cada prato.

I wish I could give a better review. The spaghetti with vongole clams was quite good. There was a piano player nearby which would have made the meal quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service was slow…except when it came to clearing my table of the remaining bread and olives while I was in the WC. They did that, although they still did not bring the check. After I ordered, I needed to wait 15 minutes for water and even longer for bread. I needed to flag him down to ask for cheese on my pasta. He never checked back to see how it was (I would have liked some pepper). I was eating alone, so these waits were extremely noticeable.

Sehr schöne Location. Kellner sind überheblich und unfreundlich. Dafür wenigstens langsam und unaufmerksam. Das Essen besticht nur durch uberhöhte Preise. Das es weit besser geht erfährt man übrigens genau nebenan 🤗

Preislich ist das AMOROSO sehr weit oben angesiedelt, man fühlt sich wohl und man fühlt sich willkommen. Ich werde wieder hingehen.

Keine Frage, direkt an der alten Oper zu sitzen ist schön. Wir haben uns das Amoroso ausgesucht und auch vorher reserviert. Beide Gerichte der völlig überteuerten Karte, die wir gewählt haben, waren nicht vorhanden. Der Wein musste 2 mal nachbestellt werden, wurde vergessen. Eine Lautstärke, durch die eng gestellten Tische, wie in einer belebten Einkaufsmeile. Ja, alte Oper ist ein schöner Platz, aber das Amoroso gibt es nur, weil es die Alte Oper gibt. Ein eigenes Flair und einen passenden Service haben sie nicht entwickelt. Aber in Frankfurt gibt es auch noch andere schöne Plätze und wirklich gute Restaurants.

Schon beim Betreten sehr netter und freundlicher Empfang .Alle Mitarbeiter die zu unserem Tisch kamen waren zuvorkommend und keineswegs aufdringlich.Unser Essen top angerichtet ,Geschmacklich hervorragend,und super Qualität.Wir kommen mit Sicherheit bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Frankfurt wieder .

Sicher ist das Restaurant eher hochpreisig, aber lieber gehe ich einmal hier essen als zweimal mittelmäßig. Der Service ist toll, freundlich und entspannt, das Essen und die gebotenen Weine exzellent. Was will man mehr?

Locale piccolo (anche se con veranda esterna), gestito da italiani. Cibo molto buono, servizio veloce e attento. Non male ma spazi veramente ridotti (eravamo 20 persone) Comunque una bella esperienza. Lo consiglio.

Wir waren mal wieder im Amoroso zum Abendessen und hatten einen netten Abend dort verbracht. Die Bedienung war wie immer italienisch unterkühlt aber sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Getränke und Speisen waren lecker. Wir freuen uns schon auf den Sommer, wenn wir dort ohne zusätzliche Heizung draussen sitzen können.

Siamo venute in questo ristorante sotto consiglio dell’albergo ma essendo sabato sera con il Christmasworld e altri eventi nel centro di Francoforte il ristorante era pieno. Fermandoci anche la sera dopo abbiamo deciso di prenotare subito per la domenica alle ore 19:30 ed il cameriere molto gentile ci ha prenotato subito dicendoci che ad ogni orario era tranquillo e potevamo prenotare. Arriviamo la domenica sera sfinite da un altra giornata in fiera alle prese 19:30 come da prenotazione e un cameriere con il gilet beige molto sgarbatamente mi chiede il nome è che verificava come se me lo stessi inventando… Ci dice di attendere e non potevamo attendere dentro ma fuori (che si gelava) perché c’era poco spazio e non potevamo. Torna e ci dice che potevamo o cenare al banco o attendere mezz’ora un tavolo… Chiediamo di parlare con il ragazzo con cui abbiamo prenotato la sera prima e ci dice che il tavolo non c’era e c’è stato un problema con le prenotazioni. Morale…1:45h per poter cenare in quanto abbiamo atteso 45 minuti al banco e 30 minuti per la cena ordinata alle 20 allo sgabello… Finito di cenare solo 2h dopo concludendo con 1 caffè atteso 20 minuti, ottima la cena e mangiare di qualità essendo all’estero ma avrei da dire sul rapporto servizio e prezzo…

Es ist erstaunlich, wie gut an diesem Freitag das Amoroso gefüllt war, aber die Qualität bestätigt die Menschen, die sich dafür entschieden haben. Vorspeise: Vitello Tonnato geteilt; Hauptspeisen: Heilbutt und Spaghetti mit schwarzem Trüffel waren hervorragend. Das Tiramisu kann man sich getrost wieder teilen. Der Service war angenehm und aufmerksam. Hier lohnt es sich wirklich, hinzugehen!
