I ate a delicious burger and even had a cocktail. It was worth it, especially with the Schlemmerblock (snack bar).

Excellent food, super-friendly and attentive service, and a cozy, inviting ambiance. Every course was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly presented. A thoroughly enjoyable evening – we'll definitely be back!

For me, the Francis at the Alte Oper is one of the best places in Frankfurt for both breakfast and dinner. In the morning, the elegant ambiance impresses with a tranquil atmosphere and a diverse, high-quality breakfast selection. The fresh croissants, egg dishes, and coffee specialties are a particular highlight. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a stylish venue with excellent cuisine and attentive service. The dishes are creative, modern, and delicious. You can spend a truly pleasant, relaxed evening here, whether with friends, colleagues, or just the two of you. I always enjoy coming back!

Restaurant review We visited the restaurant recently and had mixed experiences. The taste of the food was really good, even if there were a few initial problems: My steak, which I had ordered medium, was unfortunately well done. However, this was replaced without any problems, which I would like to emphasize very positively. However, the prices are quite high. A negative aspect was the service from the waiter Noah. He seemed very unfriendly and uninterested, which spoiled the overall experience. While serving, he bumped into my partner and placed the plates on the table rather roughly - behavior that I would not have expected in a restaurant of this price range. The rest of the staff, on the other hand, were extremely friendly and accommodating, which saved the evening overall. Conclusion: Good food, but service should be more consistent and professional to match the high price level.

Die Käse-Salat-Bowl wurde mit einem kalten Camembert-Käse serviert. Auf Nachfrage bei der freundlichen Kellnerin wurde direkt eine neue Bowl angeboten. Diese Bowl wurde dann aber mit einem gefrorenen Camembert serviert, der ungenießbar und teilweise nicht zu schneiden war. Für 16,50€ habe ich auf diesem Niveau eigentlich einen frischen Käse erwartet. Nach erneuter Anmerkung bei der Kellnerin wurde direkt erwähnt, dass das Gericht aufs Haus geht - sehr fair. Die restliche Bowl war geschmacklich in Ordnung, aber für den Preis kriegt man in anderen Restaurants ein deutlich besseres Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

A good option to eat when you don't want to leave the hotel. The club sandwich was good and filling. The nachos are a little spicy but very tasty, the chicken very crispy (breaded with corn flakes). What we liked least were the mozzarella sticks, which curdled too much.

The Francis is located in the lobby of the Holiday Inn hotel - but if you sit at one of the tables the atmosphere is fine and you don't really get the impression of sitting in a lobby. The service was super nice. The food: I had the “Frankfurter Style” schnitzel? with fries. So far so good and delicious. However, I was a bit... negatively impressed by the price, even for Frankfurt - €28. The portion of fries there costs €3... the schnitzel alone costs €25? cool... If you're not interested in the prices, you're welcome to stop there! But if you're looking for delicious food with a great atmosphere and don't want to pay attention to the price...

Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Bei meinem Besuch machte das Personal allerdings einen eher desinteressierten Eindruck. Die Location an sich ist modern eingerichtet und aufgeräumt.
