Hello dear team, I was with you in July, also by chance, because we were traveling with friends and really wanted to find a good steak restaurant. I'm from Cologne and there are already some good steak shops here. That's why I didn't think anything of it when we were with you. But what I experienced beats everything!!! First to eat. The food is a 12 out of 10! Since I am a steak lover, it was important to me to get good meat. At Thai & Turf, these expectations were exceeded! Incredibly good meat and even better preparation. I was really speechless. Furthermore, I have to say that the staff listened to our every wish without being pushy or pretending to be friendly, like on any cheap holiday in Turkey - just to sell the goods. Service is definitely a priority here. Full marks for this too! Above all, the host Floris. Very nice personality and super accommodating. So, all in all, a really great place for people who like excellent service and even better quality. I can definitely recommend the Thai & Turf in Frankfurt to everyone!!!

We went to Thai and Turf again on Saturday... it's a 130km drive for us but we wanted to treat ourselves to it again on the occasion of our wedding anniversary! It was excellent, from the starter to the dessert a dream!! All dishes perfectly prepared and presented! You're happy to pay a little more for that! When the waiter found out that it was our wedding anniversary, he brought us a wonderful plum brandy on the house. The young couple at the next table immediately added more... and what can I say... there was a lot more, including dessert from the kitchen... It was a wonderful evening with great conversations and a wonderful atmosphere, so we had to get a room in the nearby hotel because driving was out of the question! Many thanks to everyone involved who made this evening special!! We would like to come again

We were there for a company event, the service was very friendly, courteous and very attentive - very satisfactory. However, I would only give the food 4 out of 5 stars. You can sit outside and have a barbecue and it's easy to get to from the old opera.

Burgers were great, I had a steak burger and thought it was perfect! If you get hungry later, no problem, you can still get good food here until 3:00 a.m.! incredible.

We were there in the evening with 4 people. The staff was really very friendly. Unfortunately, for example, the drinks took way too long. We were about to cancel the last drink because we wanted to leave, but then it came. The table next to us wasn't cleared for over half an hour. The drinks were really very good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't entirely good. I had Pad Thai and was very surprised. There were no peanuts, a few sprouts or lime in it. There was pepper and broccoli in the dish. And that for 23€ - for a Pad Thai. My girlfriend's food was definitely good in terms of taste. All in all, the prices are unfortunately too high for what is on offer. Unfortunately, that doesn't take away from the beautiful ambience.

The restaurant offers outstanding service that leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are extremely courteous and attentive, and the food is simply sensational. Every bite is a true taste experience. I can fully recommend this restaurant - an absolute must for foodies!

It was very tasty, varied menu, top service. Prices mixed, high priced for steak. Large selection of starters. If you're lucky, you can either find parking spaces on the side streets, or you can drive into the Alte Oper car park, which is nearby.

great evening. We had 2 B-My2024 with us and because the Thai spare ribs are no longer on the menu we were allowed to use 3 vouchers for 6 people. The mixed starter platter for 2 people or more was great and really filling. From spring rolls to various tartars (tuna, beef, salmon) to carpaccio, everything was great. The burgers for the main course were also delicious. It was great that the service asked whether the main course could be ordered.

We recommend! Even with this restaurant you have to know where it is. Very centrally located in Frankfurt, but I didn't have any parking problems on the direct side streets. Not exactly cheap but very high quality, nice ambience and very attentive service. Tip - it's better to make a reservation, even during the week.

Mit der roten Beleuchtung erinnerte es mehr an ein Bordell in Bangkok als an ein Restaurant. Nach einer gefühlten Ewigkeit konnte die Bestellung aufgenommen werden. Freundlich teilte man uns mit, dass die von uns zum Teil ausgewählten Vorspeisen aus der verschlissenen Speisekarte zur Zeit nicht vorrätig sind. Wir bestellten dann erstmal die Getränke. In der Zwischenzeit ging ich zur Toilette. Die Herrentoilette war geschlossen, wegen Umbauarbeiten. Ich schaute mir die Baustelle an und war entsetzt. Die Wände waren voller schwarzen Schimmel. Vorräte wurden da offensichtlich auch gelagert und sogenannte Silberfische huschten über den Boden. Ich ging zu meinen Freunden zeigte die Fotos. Wir verzichteten auf eine Essenbestellung und zahlten die Getränke. Eine Kartenzahlung war nicht möglich, man hätte lieber das Geld bar. Den Bewirtungsbeleg erhielten wir erst nach mehrmaligen Nachfragen. Offensichtlich versuchte man hier noch Gewinnoptimierung über das Einsparen von Steuern zu organisieren.

Schickes Restaurant in der Innenstadt. War früher noch bei der alten Adresse. Das Essen ist hervorragen, wie die letzten male. Steak war auf den Punkt gebraten. Preislich bewegt es sich im Frankfurter Innenstadt Preisniveau.

The food was very good and varied. The mixed starter platter is particularly recommended. Unfortunately it took forever until the food finally came. The bill also took a long time to arrive. However, the employees were very friendly. The ambience was terrible on Valentine's Day. The music was brutally loud and after playing a cuddly rock CD from the 90s, disco bum-bum came from the speakers. That wasn't nice for both the couple and our business dinner.

Conclusion for those in a hurry: Unfortunately, the price level of the store does not match what you get. None of the negative things I noticed are really bad - it's just noticeable because of the high prices. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right and will stop me from visiting again. ——- I really liked the Thai and Turf in Sachsenhausen, but it was simply inconvenient for us to get to and so it was eventually forgotten. I found out about the new location by chance and finally tried it out yesterday. Unfortunately, all in all, it wasn't all smooth sailing. The food still stood out positively and was delicious - but the lobster was overcooked, the claws were not opened and the meat was also overcooked. Overall, the food was good and tasty. The service was really attentive and the contact was super friendly, but seemed a bit haphazard in the large store, so it can take a while before you can get your orders out. There were some oddities, such as there was only one card for us at the beginning - even though less than half of the tables were occupied. Or that we didn't have any sets on the table and that wasn't changed, even though all the tables were newly set with sets. But: the waiters were all very nice and relaxed and, above all, really young - you have to learn somewhere, so: everything was ok. I found the atmosphere to be non-fish, non-meat. Quite dark, relatively loud music - but somehow cool due to the size of the room. When you look at the details you can see a slight lack of care overall. Some of the pages of the card were torn several cm deep and were painted with highlighter. There were clearly visible flaws in some places on the walls due to the dark color of the walls and in details in the toilet it looked as if the renovation was not yet finished, even if everything was clean. You get a huge kitchen knife with the steak - actually cool, but unfortunately the food is served in cast iron pans. Result: my cool knife was so blunt that when you cut it you thought the meat was terribly tough. That wasn't it - but it doesn't have to be that way. Long story short: unfortunately the price level in the store doesn't match what you get. None of the negative things I noticed are really bad - it's just noticeable because of the high prices. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right and will stop me from visiting again.

das Essn war ok, die bedienung sehr nett, die kommunikation zwischen Küche und Bedienung miserabel. als alle ihre Vorspeise hatten wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass es meine ausgesuchte Vorspeise nicht mehr gibt und ich musste warten auf eine andere. Das Thaiessen war mit Bauchspeck bestellt und kam total vegetarisch. Auf die Nachfrage hiess es nur, es gibt keinen Bauchspeck mehr. nicht einmal eine Entschuldigung. Die Musik war so laut wie in einer Disco. Leider kein schönes Erlebnis.

Obwohl wir einen Tisch für 19 Uhr reserviert hatten, wurden wir von einer übellaunigen Bedienung an die Bar geschickt, da angeblich kein Tisch frei sei. An der Bar mussten wir den Barkeeper fast mit körperlicher Gewalt dazu bringen, uns ein Getränk zu servieren. Erst nach über 20 Minuten wurden wir an einen Tisch gebracht, obwohl die ganze Zeit mehrere Tische frei waren. Am Tisch war erst einmal wieder warten angesagt. Keine Getränke, keine Karten. Irgendwann kamen die Karten, wurden dann aber wieder eingesammelt, ohne das die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Die gewünschten Hauptgerichte waren nicht verfügbar, so dass nur die Vorspeise bestellt werden konnte. Auf die Karten, um uns ein neues Hauptgericht auszusuchen, haben wir trotz mehrfacher Aufforderung, den ganzen Abend gewartet. Gegen 22 Uhr haben wir uns dann selbst eine Karte organisiert und noch einen Nachtisch bestellt, da wir außer der Vorspeise ja noch nichts gegessen hatten. Die Vorspeise war so lala, die Satespieße z.B. sehr trocken. Und zum Höhepunkt des Abends, war dann mal wieder (siehe Bewertungen von anderen Gästen) das Kartenlesegerät angeblich kaputt und nur Bargeldzahlung möglich. Man kann nur hoffen, dass der Laden bald eine neue Leitung bekommt oder für immer schließt. Niemals wieder!

The Thai and Turf Restaurant is a beautiful restaurant. We like to visit there, especially for special occasions, and enjoy the most tender steaks we have ever eaten. Unfortunately, the menu has been reduced a little in terms of selection, which is a shame. Nevertheless, everyone will surely find something and will not be disappointed in terms of gourmet food. The service is also great, the staff's interaction with customers is very friendly, courteous and creates a feel-good atmosphere. I can't quite understand the hype surrounding this store. Absolutely overpriced, probably because it's a "place to be". Starter platter was simply put together carelessly (you can get better in any Thai snack bar) Main courses were nothing special. The absolute hit, however, was the dessert - it served something frozen as hard as a rock. However, the staff is great!!! I would give 5* for that. But since this is about the complete impression, I only give it 3* We won't go here anymore.

Schlechter Service, unfreundliche Bedienung, Burger kalt und schlecht gewürzt. Warteten ewig bis die Teller abgeräumt wurden. Toilettenfrau vorhanden die einen noch abkassiert, unglaublich bei dem doch sehr hohem Preis Niveau des Restaurants. Wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

Waren zu zweit an einem Samstag. Haben online reserviert. Ich muss sagen wir haben diesenF Abend richtig genossen. Atmosphäre!, Ambiente, schöne Musik und natürlich das Essen ! Good food but the service wasn't quite that good. A bottle of 10 euro water was basically forced upon us at the beginning which took out the fun to order any other drinks. When we ordered it turned out what we selected wasn't available. We then had to view the menu once again to select something else. The waiter was in a hurry and was almost stepping away when we didn't order fast enough. Would be practical to say at the beginning what isn't available on the menu. The bill took forever to process. But we did enjoy our food so compliments to the chef

Wir waren zum ersten mal in der neuen Location und waren auch wieder begeistert. Das Essen und vorallem das Steak/Fleisch war wieder 1. Klasse. Leider gab es zum Steak nicht mehr die Auswahl an 4 Soßen die es noch in Sachsenhausen gab. Vorallem die Datteln im Speckmantel aber auch die anderen Gerichte waren wiedermals ein Traum, jedoch gab es ein paar dinge auf der Karte nicht mehr, die wir gerne bestellt hätten. Dies lag aber vlt auch daran, dass wir zwischen den Jahren da waren und einiges noch nicht nachgeliefert wurde. Einen großen Dank auch an Francesco für den guten Service und den gemeinsamen Absacker, der den Abend wunderbar abgerundet und besonders gemacht hat.

Wurde den hohen Erwartungen gerecht, ach was, hat sie übertroffen. Tolles Ambiente, sehr gute Musik, guter Service und alles was aus der Küche kam war on Point. Abzug für den Mojito aus dem Äppler Glas.

Vom herzlichen Empfang, bei dem uns freundlich ein Tisch für zwei zugewiesen wurde und sogar unsere Jacken zur Garderobe gebracht wurden, bis hin zum exquisiten Essen war jeder Moment einfach super. Das Essen war nicht nur köstlich, sondern auch mit einer liebevollen Note zubereitet. Das Personal hat sich rührend um uns gekümmert, was den Abend zu einem rundum gelungenen Erlebnis gemacht hat. Eine absolute Empfehlung für alle, die eine erstklassige kulinarische und gastfreundliche Erfahrung suchen!"

An sich ein cooler Laden mit toller Lage. Das Essen ist ok, war alles lecker, aber mehr halt auch nicht - steht in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis. Die Portionen sind im Vergleich zu früher (alter Standort) kleiner, die Preise dafür explodiert. Die krasse Bewertung kommt tatsächlich durch den gruseligen Service! Alles hat ewig gedauert, wenn sie mal kamen, haben sie einen nicht mal angeguckt, sind schnell zum nächsten Tisch. Man hatte richtig den Eindruck, die hatten gar keinen Bock auf uns. Aber Hauptsache am Nebentisch 10x hingehen, während wir am Ende fast 45 Min. ohne Getränke da saßen. Und der Gipfel war dann noch, dass uns kommentarlos die Rechnung auf den Tisch geknallt wurde. Trinkgeld 0 Cent. Danke, das war mein letzter Besuch! (sehr schade eigentlich, bin immer gerne hin)

Absolut empfehlenswert! Wir waren super zufrieden. Das Essen war super wie gewohnt. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Organisation für unseren Jahrestag wurde von Francesco perfekt umgesetzt und vorbereitet! Herzlichen dank für alles, super team, Super Restaurant.

Keine Kartenzahlung bei solchen Preisen? Schlechte Service und lustlose Personal (sie drehen sich einfach um!?), zum Schluss noch falsche Rechnung! Im Gegenzug muss ich sagen, das Essen war sehr gut. Aber sehr schade dass es nicht als ein Paket gepasst hat. Dafür ist das Essen viel zu teuer.

The waiter didn’t present the wine menu; Very impatient when we’re ordering (since we have to translate the menu for our parents); They mixed the degree of steaks, not sure if it’s the mistake by the waiter or the cook; No source and no pepper are served; In general, I strongly recommend not to go to this restaurant. Maybe other stuffs are ok but in terms of steak they’re really not professional!

I came to this restaurant while trying to satisfy different needs, one person who likes grilled meat and another who appreciates vegetarian- vegan cuisine!! It was the perfect choice, cozy location, mood lighting and a menu that offers a wide choice. Francesco suggested the best menu choices and pampered us throughout the evening, which ended with a tasty cocktail that Daniel created especially for us. The meat was stunning !! The best in Frankfurt. I suggest you to stop at this venue, look for it is not on the way!😉

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht vom Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der Burger war fast „englisch“, die Pommes nicht knusprig und kalt. Service war sehr schwach, Getränke wurden teilweise vergessen. Vom Ambiente und der Ausstattung her leider auch keinen Pluspunkt. Die Stühle waren alt und durchgesessen, zudem war die Lautstärke störend. Für uns leider nicht zu empfehlen!

Not the place it used to be. Its become a loud, fast paced restaurant (even at ealy opening hour and barely guests). No card payment (after skimming reviews, it seems to be usual for them to say the CardPayments are down) for the price of the meals, quite unfortunate. Waiter told us an ATM was around the corner. It wasn't, we had to walk over a Kilometer back and forth, if I hadnt had family waiting... I wouldnt have gone back. The staff is mostly rude and unattentive, my family wasn't even offered/asked for something to drink while they waited. Overpriced for sure. The starters where good, the tomahawk was good... but that was about it. The frenchfries where bag convinience store ones (the cheap ones) with some cinema cheese sauce on top. The coleslaw was nothing else than shredded cabbage with a hint of sauce. The cocktails where also awful, had ine and stook to Coca Cola. This once was one of our favorite places to eat when they were at the old location, we explicitly drove to Frankfurt to dine here. Definitely wont be making that mistake again

Ein absolutes Desaster. Ein Trauerspiel sondergleichen! Nach dem Umzug aus Sachsenhausen an die Welle ist das Thai&Turf weniger als ein Schatten seiner selbst. Die Atmosphäre wirkt hier wie in einem Popup während einer Messe, ein viel zu helles Licht gepaart mit unsäglicher Musik sorgt für wenig Vollfühlatmosphäre. Dazu kommt ein leidlich bemühtes Personal, das zwischen „Haben sie denn nun was gefunden?“ und fehlender Aufmerksamkeit pendelt. Zumindest nach dem Abräumen der Hauptspeise kam bei uns kein Mensch mehr am Tisch vorbei um nach einem Dessertwunsch oder Digestif zu fragen. Der Gipfel ist jedoch, dass bei unserem Besuch (offenkundig mal wieder!) keine Kartenzahlung möglich war. „Ja, ja… die schicken uns keinen Techniker für das WLAN!“ ist im Jahre 2023 in der Häufigkeit eher ein Hinweis für fas Finanzamt als auf den Service des Provider für bargeldlose Zahlungen! Zumal man Zahlungen via Paypal odet Luca App )?!) entgegen nimmt… 👀 👀 Wir können über das Essen wirklich kein schlechtes Wort verlieren, aber bei dem Pteisniveau gibt absolut keinen Grund, hier nochmal einen Abend, Zeit und Geld zu investieren! Service und Atmosphäre sind wirklich unterirdisch, und fast hätte ich doch tatsächlich den geauen Teppichboden vergessen - der war hier das absolute Highlight. Fazit: Seelenlose Atmosphäre mit miesem Service und teilweise tatsächlich gutem Essen. Das gepaart mit überlauter Musik und wenig motiviertem Personal? Wir wünschen dem Betreiber wirklich alles Gute für dieses erstaunliche Konzept! Und dass vielleicht alsbald ein zuverlässiger Payment Provider dort einsteigt…

Wir waren hier, um einen Geburtstag in der Familie zu viert zu feiern und hatten uns aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen haben wir uns für das Thai & Turf entschieden. Die Erfahrung entsprach nicht unseren Erwartungen, insgesamt eine Enttäuschung im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants dieser Preisklasse. Trotz Reservierung wurden wir beim Eintreten in Restaurant zunächst ignoriert und mussten einen der Kellner aktiv ansprechen. Der Tisch für 4 Personen wurde dann in unserem Beisein aus zwei Einzeltischen zusammengestellt. Da die Zahlung mit Karte an diesem Abend nicht möglich war, musste mein Mann das Restaurant nochmal verlassen, um Bargeld zu holen. Die Speisen selbst entsprachen nicht dem erwarteten Niveau: Das Tunfisch Carpaccio war weder mit dem auf der Karte angegebenen Koriander noch mit Thai-Basilikum Koriander, sondern mit einfacher Kresse zubereitet. Die Steaks waren ausnahmslos zu schwach angebraten, so dass jedes eine breiten hellbraunen Gar-Rand, aber ohne die nötigen Röstaromen hatte. Die Weinkarte war nicht wie angegeben international, es waren ausschließlich italienische Rotweine und der erste ausgewählte Wein war auch nicht verfügbar. Begleitet wurden wir beim Essen von einer oder mehreren Motten und einer Fliege, die dann in Weinglas meiner Tochter landete. Nach dieser Erfahrung kommen wir sicher nicht wieder.

Friendly service, our waiter couldn’t control the slow kitchen pace. Almost one hour between starter and main course, with only six tables in the restaurant. Just not acceptable. Crabcakes were subpar, mediocre at best. Giant Gambas as a main was delicious but for €75 you would think a side dish could accompany it. Drinks were ok. For €100 per person, it was unmemorable. I won’t go back and cannot recommend.

So schade! Das "neue" Thai & Turf hat leider nichts mehr mit unseren Erfahrungen an der alten Location zu tun. Wir nutzen das Thai & Turf schon seit Jahren als kulinarischen Abschluss für unseren Sommerurlaub und planen dafür immer eine extra Zwischenübernachtung in Frankfurt ein. Bisher waren wir auch immer begeistert. Qualität, Geschmack, Service hat uns immer voll überzeugt. Dieses Jahr wurden wir leider komplett enttäuscht. Der Service war überwiegend lieblos und unprofessionell. Statt sich um die Gäste zu kümmern wurde vorgezogen lautstark und vor den Gästen zu telefonieren, private Unterhaltungen zu führen oder Raucherpausen zu machen. Der verbleibende Mitarbeiter, der sich dann alleine um alle besetzten Tische im Außenbereich gekümmert hat, war sehr bemüht, hatte aber keine Chance dies alleine zu bewältigen. Getränke wurden nur sehr verzögert serviert. Die Weinkarte wurde erst gar nicht angeboten und auch auf Nachfrage erst sehr verzögert ausgehändigt. Auf das Hauptgericht haben wir nach der Vorspeise fast eine Stunde gewartet. Auch das Essen war diesmal eine total Enttäuschung. Beim Thai mixed Starter fehlten unkommentiert zwei auf der Speisekarte angekündigte Komponenten. Sowohl Hähnchenfleisch als auch Garnelen waren komplett übergart und trocken. Alles war sehr lieblos auf den Teller "geworfen". Auch der Fotovergleich mit der gleichen Vorspeise aus dem letzten Jahr zeigte eklatante Unterschiede. Bei beiden Hauptgerichten (Filetsteak und Burger) stimmten die Garpunkte in keiner Weise. Das medium-rare bestellte Steak war mit viel Phantasie noch leicht medium. Der Burger total durchgebraten und trocken. Der Spinat als Beilage nur lauwarm. Frustriert haben wir dann auf Dessert oder weitere Getränke verzichtet und den Abend beendet. Wir sind wirklich sehr traurig über die Entwicklung dieses bisher wirklich hervorragenden Steak-Restaurants.

Totale Abzocke und massivst überbewertet. Das Lokal hat eine neue Location in der Innenstadt jetzt und nicht mehr in Sachsenhausen. Alles fein soweit, aber es ist nicht ansatzweise zu verstehen, wie hier die guten Bewertungen zustande kommen. Viel zu teuer und dafür nichtmal sehr gut. Da gibt es doch gerade in der Innenstadt deutlich bessere Lokal um für viel Geld ein gutes Steak essen zu gehen. Schade.

I’ve reserved a table last week for yesterday’s lunch. The reservation was managed with Open Table and it was confirmed. Unfortunately arriving at the restaurant yesterday evening we sadly discovered that the restaurant was closed. Apparently they have moved to another location, but there was no information outside the restaurant. Even calling by phone there was no recorded voice informing customers.
