After my friends and I had been regular enthusiastic guests of the Walden restaurant for many years, we were bitterly disappointed during our visit yesterday - the prices have risen enormously and the quality has deteriorated extremely. The shepherd's salad served with walnuts and sheep's cheese costs 18 euros and you get small chopped salad with a few chopped walnuts, lots of onions and a thin layer of grated sheep's cheese over the salad. There was no bread - an imposition. The Kaiserschmarren was not outstanding but okay, but the portion was very manageable and at almost 10 euros it was simply too expensive. This was our last visit to this restaurant!!

After my visit to this club yesterday (night from February 28th, 2025 to March 1st), I had an extremely unpleasant and upsetting experience. A strange man slapped me on the bottom and I threw a toy wand lightly in his direction. I was then grabbed by the arm and dragged out of the crowd, it turned out that it was the owner who had noticed (he wasn't hit). He wanted me to leave the club and didn't want to listen to my explanation and then called me a liar. I and other people who had also seen all this were not listened to or believed. I cannot recommend this club.

Samstag Abend nur eine Bewirtung , die total überfordert war 25€ Eintritt , um was trinken zu gehen !!!! Wir hatten 6 Vorspeisen, berechnet wurden 16!!!!!!! Nach Reklamation wurde dies korrigiert. Essen und die Vorspeisen absolut ungenügend /schlecht!!! Preis/Leistung = ungenügend Ich werde nicht mehr hingehen und es auch keinem Empfehlen!!!!

Terribles cambios, terrible servicio y comida horrenda. ¿Cuánto comino puede soportar? Ven a Walden y déjate sorprender. No más jamón en un desayuno tradicional alemán, yendo todo turco, como si no hubiera suficiente de eso en Frankfurt. Si quieres un buen meze, como han añadido a su nombre, cruza la carretera hacia Picnic. Ellos saben cómo hacer cocina de Oriente Medio y son atentos y amables en eso. Sr. Klüber, ¿qué ha hecho? Esto es un desastre. Tú también lo sabes, porque de lo contrario tus mesas estarían llenas. Solíamos ser habituales. Ya no más.

I wanted to give the store another chance and went there for breakfast today and lo and behold after eating, not a good time. There is definitely something wrong with the hygiene in the kitchen. In general it has deteriorated a lot, new card, but significantly worse quality. That was my last visit there!

I was in this restaurant a few days ago and it was really great! The food was super tasty, everything was freshly prepared and really tasteful. The service was also great – the waiters were super friendly and really looked after us. I can only recommend this restaurant and definitely give it five stars!

We had reserved a table for four people for breakfast on Boxing Day (December 26, 2024). When we went there that day, Walden was closed. There was a simple note on the door that just said that on December 26th. remains closed - no explanation, no apology to guests with reservations. I then called and left a message on voicemail asking for feedback. That was a week ago and so far there has been no response. A very disappointing service experience and our interest in visiting the Walden or the Oosten again is almost zero. By the way, we only had the reservation on December 24th. by phone and explicitly asked whether the Walden would be on Thursday/December 26th. will be open, just as it was maintained by the restaurant in Google. This was clearly answered in the affirmative, the reservation was entered and my mobile number was also noted. We would have had to be contacted if we hadn't shown up, because the Walden provides the following information on its website: “If you don't announce your absence on the day of the reservation, we have to charge €20.00 per guest who doesn't show up. We ask for your understanding!" So there are double standards here.

Very disappointing. The omelette for almost nine euros was an outrage. Service was nice, but completely overwhelmed and slow. There was no coffee because of technical problems. The location is still nice, but the Walden is no longer what it used to be. In my opinion, the high prices are not justified.

The Walden Meze is simply top. If you want to experience Turkish cuisine and an unforgettable evening, you should stop by here - from the live music show to the friendly service, everything was world class.

Went there today for the first time in a long time and were totally disappointed, the food/breakfast used to be much better there, the selection wasn't what it used to be. That's why there wasn't much going on; previously you wouldn't have been able to get a seat there on a Sunday before Christmas. Please urgently change the concept

Gastronomy in Frankfurt is moody and unpredictable. I don't know what it is. But we were really lucky. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared. Leg of lamb tender and juicy served with red wine jus with mashed potatoes and salad. My colleagues were also very enthusiastic about the schnitzel with sweet potato fries, chicken burger with avocado, and tarte flambée with salmon. The udon noodles with pumpkin are delicious! The wines are great! I'm really looking forward to next time. Thank you very much for a very wonderful evening :)

Seit Verkauf leider herunter gekommen. Von den Tischen blättert der Lack. Es gibt keine Tageszeitungen mehr. Neue Deko ist grottig wie in Türkenschuopen. Servicemängel, zB Latte bestellt, Espresso erhalten, fehlerhaftes Wechselgeld etc. Bedienung unaufmerksam, langes Warten auf Rechnung. Früher Top Adresse, aber so gehts nicht. Vermutlich demnächst Schließung (oder Waschanlage?).

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely breakfast, they have sausages, eggs, bacon, toast, bread. Scramble eggs were perfect, benedict also. Brunch and lunch available too. A bit for everyone.

Mr. Bekir was very interested. Schnitzel and steak were excellent.

Pancakes and pancakes are bought, not homemade. Absolutely inedible and a disgrace considering the price. In any case, you can understand why the shop is now almost empty, even on a Saturday.

Looks pretty good in the picture, but: I had breakfast there for the first time today. The rolls were probably days old and over-baked. Pancakes for 11 euros, 3 pieces, rock hard on the edge, sticky and dry in the middle. They were never freshly baked, more likely they were days old and warmed up. There was also a small bowl of “fruit salad”. This also tasted terrible. The 3-egg omelette for a whopping 9 euros was far dry. I really don't know how big a mess you can make. The coffee was ok, came without milk, I wasn't asked for it. Basically the service staff was friendly. A table at the counter is always reserved for the boss who hangs out here. The two ladies on duty were constantly upset with colleagues and the boss, loudly, you could hear everything. Threats of termination included. The toilet smelled disgusting, really disgusting like sewage and shit. All I can say is bon appetit.

Overall environment is convenient for a meal break in the center. Extremely friendly service, very pleasant surroundings, atmosphere, outside seating, toilet area clean and nicely designed.

You sit comfortably, the service is great, only 11 euros for a vodka tonic that contained little vodka somehow borders on outrageous...

Vine a Frankfurt una noche para ver una obra en el Volksbühne. Quería encontrar un restaurante cerca ya que tenía una ventana de tiempo para conocer. Walden estaba en una ubicación ideal con menos de cinco minutos a pie del teatro. El servicio fue muy bueno y súper amable. Pedí el filete Zander con puré de batata y brócoli. Los filetes estaban perfectamente cocidos, pero carecían de sabor real. El puré de batata era solo patatas hervidas regulares con una cobertura de batatas. Lamentablemente, el brócoli carecía de textura y sabor. A pesar del gran servicio, optaría por ir a otro lugar, ya que hay varios restaurantes en la misma zona. Acabo de elegir el equivocado.

Very unfriendly staff and poor quality food

I honestly expected more, the place is very nice, the service was good and friendly, but the food was average and value for money not great..

Nothing to complain about. My vegan food was absolutely perfect. We were there on a Saturday evening around 9, it was really quiet, which was surprising when the restaurant opposite was full. At least for us, the food and drinks tasted really good!

Lunch was tasty, good quantity and absolutely value for money. The lemonades are not too sweet. The penne with sheep's cheese and chili wasn't too spicy. There could have been a little more cheese. My companion a tarte flambée California. Delicious.

The Walden is just a stone's throw from the Goethe House. You can park there in a parking garage. The service is friendly and attentive. We treated ourselves to a delicious cake. The prices are acceptable. If I'm nearby, I'll be a guest there again.

We were very hungry and it was Saturday afternoon, good weather in Frankfurt and almost all the restaurants on that street were full. We found a table outside at this restaurant. The terrace is next to a street where many cars pass and it was a bit uncomfortable for us. The menu was full of lots of interesting food. My friend decided to order pasta with pumpkin and I decided to order the classic Flammkuchen. Drink tea and water with berries and mint. Even though the terrace was full and there were not many waiters, the waitress at our table was very friendly and both the drink and the food arrived quickly. The pasta was not very hot although delicious. The Flammkuchen was very thin, with not much cream, the bacon tasted a little strange and not hot at all. A shame! At least the drink was very cool and delicious. The truth is that for the price, I expected something better.

The dishes are generous, tasty and comforting! The servers are friendly and efficient. The round tables give a cocooning feel with very comfortable chairs. On the other hand, the restaurant is very noisy, the music quite loud.

The food was amazing, hands down the best burger I’ve ever eaten. However the service was rather meh. The menu said the burger was €18,50. But when we got the bill we were charged €19,00. They just said that the burger was €19,00 and didn’t want to give us the menu again, for us to check.

Was here today for an event. First we had to queue outside for 90 minutes so we could even get in. Even though we reserved a table. It can't be that a location is so crowded, we didn't even have room to walk, let alone dance. Our great table was placed next to the toilet and everyone had to squeeze past us. I bathed in alcohol because they also spilled their drinks. Going was out of the question because the next problem was with the wardrobe... Simply unreasonable! We couldn't pick up our jackets from the cloakroom because everything was mixed up. We simply waited 1.5 hours for our jackets, and we were also treated like second-class citizens by security because people lost their patience and tried to push their way forward. Never again! Disgusting! I'm just glad there wasn't a fire or anything like that, otherwise many wouldn't have survived.

This is awesome – amazing food, high quality. We had a brunch and everything was great, except the pancakes (they were dry). The service wasn't overwhelmingly friendly but very authentic, and we REALLY liked that. It was also very fast. Calm, nice atmosphere. Charming place to visit in central Frankfurt to have great food without any stress.

Quick brunch stop off for 2. Atmosphere was great, slowly got busier as the time passed. There were only 2 waitresses on the day, one was behind the bar and the other pretty much covered the entire floor! Great service from her - was fast & tentative to customers too. Food was good quality and a nice portion size too. Highly recommended!

Great spot for lunch/ dinner. The pasta with eggplant was delightful. Probably the best meal we had in Germany. The club sandwich was also delicious and had crispy bacon which we had a hard time finding in other places in Germany. Drinks were good and everything was fairly priced. Service was also excellent. Highly recommend

They offer great and yummy breakfasts&brunch. Today I tried Berlin and some pancakes, I loved it. Atmosphere is nice. You can enjoy your tea while sitting at a table by the window and watching the view. it is a little busy so you always need to wait a bit but it is not a big issue.

Hier stimmt einfach alles: Ambiente, Service und Essen. Eine Oase, in der man mal kurz durchatmen kann.

Schön zum draußen sitzen. Aufmerksamer Service, gutes Speisenangebot, reichhaltige Getränkeauswahl.

Ich habe ein Rote Beete- Ziegenkäse- Risotto mit karamellisierten Walnüssen von der Tageskarte gegessen - Super- Gericht ! Die verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen ( süß- salzig) perfekt abgestimmt, und auch die Rote Beete, die nicht jedem schmeckt, war dezent integriert ! Kompliment an den Koch ! Dazu habe ich einen Grauburgunder getrunken - und hier ein weiteres Kompliment- in einem Glas, das nicht akribisch auf 2ml abgemessen war, eine Usanza, die ich bei den Preisen für ein Glas Wein sehr unschön finde. Das Personal ist sehr nett und effizient ! Unbedingt zu empfehlen !

Another delicious schnitzel down at Walden. It was a very nice meal and the atmosphere is amazing. It looks like they have a lot of awesome breakfast options that shouldn’t be missed out on but if you go for lunch or dinner then you won’t be disappointed. The service was very nice and quick as well. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Waren dort zum Essen, Steak für 27,00€, war sehr zäh, ging fast vollständig zurück, wurde der Kellnerin mit geteilt, darauf keine Reaktion. Einmal und nie wieder. Viel zu überteuert, so gewinnt man keine Gäste.

Das Walden ist sehr gut gelegen - man kann sich draußen hinsetzen, aber auch in den Innenraum. Service war schnell und freundlich. Wir beide wollten nur etwas trinken, das kam dann sofort. Alles sehr sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Jederzeit sehr gerne wieder - eine schöne Lounge.

Stopped here for dinner and had some good veal schnitzel. Cute place and staff was nice. The drink we had was also very good and could be dangerous because it did not taste like alcohol.
