Cannot recommend this place!
Gyros with Metaxa sauce were available without a side dish?!
Sorry, there was a small salad with it
but nothing else?!
The gyro was chewy and tasted like the sole of a shoe?!
Has it probably been in the kitchen for a long time?!
I'm sorry, I'll never go there again!!!
We were there for the first time with several people. The food is very good and appropriate for the price. The furnishings fit the overall concept and you feel comfortable and welcome. What I liked best was the service, who was very accommodating, nice and friendly and explained everything and took her time without seeming stressed. Not a given these days. Thank you for that
Food: often OK, sometimes rather mediocre.
Example: sometimes the quality of the dishes here isn't good because the meat is either slightly burnt, has lots of tendons and is of poor quality, or is like chewing gum (liver), or it cracks when chewed, like eating fried mushrooms at a Christmas market (chicken). Overall, the quality of the dishes here fluctuates, and it's like a gamble as to what you'll get as a customer. Whether it's due to being overwhelmed, the speed in the kitchen, or the number of guests is a mystery.
Service: mostly friendly and sometimes unprofessional.
Example 1: I wanted to reserve a table for two as a regular customer. I was told on the phone that it was full and therefore wouldn't be available for another hour. Since I didn't want to wait that long, I asked if I could order takeout. The younger waitress then wanted me to give her the numbers of the dishes, and when I told her I didn't know them by heart, she told me to look up the menu online and then call back. When I asked if she could look up the numbers on the menu, the waitress said no, because it would take too long, even though the menu only lists about two chicken dishes and I was able to give her the approximate numbers over the phone. What's the point of that? Couldn't the waitress ask her colleagues for the numbers? Why should a guest know your numbers and not the waitress in the restaurant? Why don't you show hospitality by opening the menu yourself and looking it up? In the end, I got fed up and went somewhere else to eat.
Example 2: We were there once with our family, and there were also minor errors, such as missing cutlery, which was only brought after an hour despite being told, or sometimes drinks were forgotten. Perhaps the waitress here is inexperienced with larger numbers of guests and quickly loses track and a certain sense of structure. That, too, is a mystery.
Atmosphere: quite okay inside. Since the location isn't ideal, there's not a good view of the outside (street, parking lots, or trash cans). I find the Arminiuspark in Bad Lippspringe, where two Greek restaurants once stood, much more appealing.
Conclusion: The restaurant is okay, and you can go there. But it certainly isn't up there with the best.
Service 10/10 very attentive and quick when clearing up. The fact that 15 main courses were on our table less than 10 minutes after ordering is due to the quality. The fried pepperoni as an appetizer.. 0/10. Some charred. They are pepperoni from the pickled ready-made bag (soaked with that typical vinegar pool) and are served in a bowl in a complete oil bath.
And that's how the food goes. Obvious bag fries with the gyro.
The tzatziki also tasted more like mass-produced food.
The food isn't bad, but I wouldn't go to a restaurant for that. I can do the same thing at home.
There is cooking here. But not fresh.
Ambiance and service is great. But the chef or restaurant standards in terms of fresh cooking should urgently be reconsidered.
Meta Ulm is a highlight every time! The food is great, the atmosphere is modern and cozy - but above all: the waiters are absolutely top class! Friendly, attentive and always in a good mood. You just feel completely comfortable. Clear recommendation for everyone who appreciates good food and top service!
Nice Greek restaurant with very polite service staff. The large and partially covered garden is open in summer. Price/performance ratio used to be better.
Gyros has almost no flavor and is relatively dry. The bread is far too soft and not rolled up very intelligently, so it's a huge piece of pork that you'll end up eating. The tzatziki is cold and also has little flavor.
And to top it all off, they put fries in the pita. Seriously???? Fries??? They have absolutely no place in a pita. And calling yourself "eat Greek" is so out of place in this context.
Hello, now an established business with an interesting and authentic menu, prices high but not shamelessly overpriced, as is often the case with competitors on the market these days. All the best to the company. The direct link to the menu provided here is unfortunately dead.
