All in all we were very satisfied top address for eating

We spontaneously decided to stop here. We received a very warm welcome and were given a table (we recommend making a reservation, as it fills up quickly). Drinks were brought promptly (including a welcome ouzo), and we didn't have to wait longer than 15 minutes for the delicious food. The side salad is served with a good dressing. We highly recommend gyros, calamari, souvlaki, and rice or fries as a side dish. A big thank you to the waiters for an all-around wonderful evening! We'll be back!!!

They're on vacation. Google says they're open. Then they don't care about visitors outside of peak season. What a pity.

So, at €20 for the mixed plate, it's absolutely reasonable. The portion is large, everything on the plate is delicious, salad is a side dish, and it's filling, and it's really pleasant outside on the terrace. I went there twice, and it was very good.

We had gyros with mushroom sauce and the Delphin plate. Everything was very plentiful (including the tzatziki). If you want a farmer's salad instead of the side salad, you pay an extra €2. But it's worth it if you prefer tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and pepperoni. We had a reservation and felt very comfortable.

I have been coming here off and on for the last 16 years and it hasn’t changed one bit. Delphi is arguably the best restaurant in Bad Windsheim. The married couple who own and run this restaurant are exquisitely polite and are genuinely happy to see returning customers. The Greek food here is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is warm with a touch of that “local spot in Greece” feeling, and the wine and beer are served with a fresh crisp. Reservations during busy evenings are recommended for large parties, however I have never waited more than ten minutes for a table. Location is a big plus as this establishment is right in the heart of downtown, Bad Windsheim. Great place!

You can eat very well and it is very hospitable

To cut a long story short, we both had a delicious lunch. It was a very hot day, and we desperately needed some relaxation. The outdoor terrace is under a huge tree, but there are umbrellas. After a while, I understood why. There were lots of birds sitting in the tree, digesting their midday meal. So make sure you sit under the umbrellas. The service was attentive, and the food arrived after a short wait. Since it was hot, I had two appetizers: anchovies and pita with tzatziki. I was quite full and enjoyed it very much. I love anchovies. My wife had a gyro, and she was also very satisfied. Thanks for the lovely lunch.

I was there on a Sunday evening. I received a very friendly welcome. Since it was very windy, I chose the dining room. The ambiance was typically Greek. Perhaps a bit dated, but I prefer that to modern, sober, and bare. I received the menu immediately after sitting down. I ordered a wine 🍷, which arrived promptly. Shortly after, the salad arrived to accompany my gyros with calamari. The salad was dressed with a good dressing. Shortly after, the main course arrived. It was perfectly seasoned, and the calamari was very tender. Gyros as they should be, and the tzatziki was also very tasty. I ordered another tzatziki, which arrived quickly and free of charge. The service is very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be back. There's also a lovely beer garden.

Portions are ok. At least the plate for two was good enough for us. The taste was okay, but not outstanding either. We would have to season everything, including the side salad as well as the meat and rice. Only the gyro was well seasoned, but also very dry. The portion of tzatziki for the platter for two is just enough for half the meat. However, the prices of the starters are really unreasonable. 11.50€ for sheep's cheese with pepperoni and olives, fortunately you don't see that very often. The service was OK, but nothing more. It's a shame you can't pay by card. The furnishings are very old and the carpet in the entrance area is very sticky.

A typical small-town Greek, but that's not meant in a derogatory way. The dishes are sure to appeal to most people and I personally like that. However, the seasoning could perhaps be reworked a bit. While the meat was very "spicy", the side rice unfortunately tasted quite bland. But it could certainly be made to taste better quite easily. Thank you especially for the great and friendly service. It's nice to be a guest there. Especially because it tastes good overall. I'm curious to see if it tastes a little better next time. I'd like to try that out.

The Delphi has a lot of dishes including traditional Greek dishes. But what I liked was the taste. I ordered Hannchen breast fillet with rice and tzatziki. There was also a salad. The goal is to get the lean chicken breast so that it still tastes juicy and delicious. I only ever manage to do something like this dryly. Salad was great too. My wife ordered a starter plate which was also very tasty. Priced okay too. You get an ouzo with it. We liked it very much.

Excellent Greek. The rooms are a bit old, but very comfortable. The employees are super friendly. Only the waiting times are a bit long. The food is excellent, I haven't had such a good gyro in a long time: the meat wasn't too fatty, very well grilled and finely sliced. The onions were also cut more finely than usual. And instead of the now usual fries, there was a very good rice as a side dish. The tzatziki was also excellent. My wife was also very happy with her calamari. The prices aren't super cheap, but they're absolutely fine for the quality and quantity offered. My recommendation!

Vorab geschmacklich war das Essen top und die Portion groß. Leider mussten wir feststellen das der Service nicht so gut war. 30 Minuten mussten wir warten um das die Getränke Bestellung erst mal aufgenommen wurde. Das Essen kam dafür relativ schnell, jedoch war von der Küche her ein Fehler auf dem wir aufmerksam machten und wurde mit augenrollen geändert. 45 Minuten standen leere Teller und Gläser vor uns und keine von den 3 Bedienungen (die sehr oft an unserem Tisch vorbei kamen) räumten es ab bzw. nahmen eine weitere Bestellung auf. Lieber spielte man in den Haaren rum und langte dann an die Essensteller und Gläser…Gerne hätten wir einen Nachtisch bestellt. Auf mehrmaligen Auffordern das wir bezahlen möchte kam dann jemand total genervt und wunderte sich bei 5 zahlenden Personen auch noch wieso es keine Trinkgeldgabe gab….

Ein Kult-Erlebnis: retro-urig, ein Original eben. Ebenso wie die Wirtsleute. Es wäre schade, würde das Restaurant einmal grundmodernisiert, denn im Chic der 80er Jahre liegt eine ganz außergewöhnliche Besonderheit: das nachempfundene griechische Ambiente, wie es früher mal üblich war. Der Gastraum ist ausreichend groß, unterteile mit Halbwänden und Säulen, dekoriert mit griechischem Ambiente und Dekoration, ganz wunderbarer eigener Chic. In bester Lage von Bad Windsheim, und im Sommer mit einer wunderbaren, hoch gelegenen Terrasse (alle Räumlichkeiten nicht barrierefrei). Die Betreiber sind flinke und wortgewandte Griech/innen. Vor allem die Wirtin ist bei Lebensmittel-Allergien auf zack und erinnert sich genau an das Vermeiden von Beigaben auch für Gäste, die gar nicht so regelmäßig kommen. Das Essen ist gutes Standard-Essen; die üblichen Gerichte der (retro) Standard-Speisekarte sind vielzählig vorhanden. Ein Genuss für jeden Allergiker, weil man sicher sein kann, was an Gewürzen hier/dort drin ist, und man nicht ständig mit Nachfragen zu wechselnden Gerichten kämpfen muss. Ich mag das urige Restaurant, die Gäste aus allen Schichten und die griechischen Wirtsleute in ihrer besonderen Originalität. Ganz selten, viel zu selten, gibt es so was noch. Reservieren ist sicher empfehlenswert, da die Nachfrage doch groß ist.

Caution! Huge portions! Not just huge, but exceptionally delicious. Premium class grilled meat, tender and very well seasoned. Starters also very generous portions. The ambience is traditional, but that's how it should be at a Greek restaurant.

I was there with my girlfriend shortly before the end because we were a bit tight on our time management. We still got calamari and gyros. A big thank you again for that. It was also very tasty and the portion was completely sufficient. Gladly again!

Here you get very nice service and great Greek food. The restaurant itself is furnished in a classic Hellenic style and you feel comfortable in the old inn. Before your meal you get a glass of ouzo on the house and it's also very tasty. The portions are generous but absolutely good. Truly the best Greek in the region. You also always get something to pack and the prices are reasonable. We like coming here.

My first visit there, the impression was not convincing. The portions are very large, which was positive. The meat was burnt in the baking dish. Unfortunately, out of 4 waitresses, only 1 spoke German. We got completely wrong drinks and had to shout very loudly several times to order something else, which was only brought after we asked again. What bothered me the most was that when the glasses were empty, they didn't ask you if you wanted anything else. So I sat there for 4 hours without a drink. Very bad service...

We enjoyed being there often, but the old owners are gone and the new ones are. Well where do I start. I'm very disappointed. We had to wait a long time to take our order and then the drinks came wrong. Then they forgot to leave our food order in the kitchen and we had to wait an extra long time. OK, you can. We thought it would happen. But then, the meat my child had was bad, it smelled very unpleasant. The fries were raw and the rice was cold. The lettuce was not cleaned properly with soil inside. The cola I had was non-carbonated. I then pointed out that my child's meat was bad. They then wanted to make a schnitzel but no one was hungry after the smell of the meat. Were so disappointed, horrified. Didn't have to pay for the meat but it was still really disgusting. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore.

Here the customer is still king!! The other pubs all rejected us around 7pm to 7.30pm and said that the kitchens were closed, which we found very sad. Here we were warmly welcomed and invited to the table! The food is phenomenal The best gyros I've ever eaten, so juicy and ahhh ^^ plus: you'll be super full! Really only recommended :)

The food there tastes okay. Unfortunately the portions are far too big. A little less wouldn't be bad, then you could also order a dessert because "something else fits in". Unfortunately, the service is the biggest drawback. It took a relatively long time to get the drinks. You won't be asked for a second drink if you've finished drinking. After the meal, the plates weren't cleared away, which doesn't exactly invite you to linger in the restaurant. There was also no inquiry as to whether we wanted dessert and coffee. Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations and I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant yesterday was not very convincing. The gyros in Metaxa sauce was disappointing: the meat was tasteless and was literally drowned by the sauce. The fries were dry and didn't seem freshly made. Despite the disappointing quality, the price was disproportionately high. Although the portions were generous, they were almost excessive - more quantity than quality, which left the impression of an unbalanced overall concept. The service also left a lot to be desired. Plates and empty glasses were not cleared away, even though the table was visibly full. In addition, no one asked for more drinks, which reinforced the impression of a lack of attention. Overall, the experience was disappointing and the price-performance ratio was simply inadequate. There is an urgent need to catch up in the kitchen and service.

Even at the later time of my arrival, since I arrived late with the bus, they were happy to give me food so that I wouldn't die of hunger. Family-type service, pleasant demeanor, willingness and delicious and beautifully prepared food. I recommend everyone to come here and sit down and have a wonderful meal. If I have a trip here to the hotel again, I always like to eat here. 🥰

Wir besuchen das Restaurant seit Jahren einmal im Urlaub und stellen fest, dass sich an der sehr freundlichen Bedienung durch das Inhaber-Ehepaar, an der grossen Menge und guten Qualität der Speisen nichts geändert hat. Einen Vergleich mit guten Restaurants in Griechenland (Wir waren von anfangs April bis Mitte Juni dort) hat das Delphi nicht zu fürchten: Eine solch umfangreiche Speisekarte fanden wir dort nirgends, und auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt im Vergleich. Als Schweizer sind wir leider ganz andere Preise bei uns in Griechischen Restaurants gewöhnt.

Food and drink was delicious. We also enjoyed sitting on the terrace. Unfortunately there were a lot of wasps on the terrace that prevented us from eating. The waiter rarely came to the terrace, which made it relatively difficult to order something. Otherwise it was fine.

Great food - especially the liver, which is rarely so perfect! The occasional corn kernels in the side salad are strange - they're probably supposed to improve the look. Unnecessary and strange! The ambience of the outdoor seating area is wonderful, but why are there still cat tables, for example for women traveling alone? That doesn't have to be the case!
