Restaurant Delphi in Gotha

Unfortunately, I've been waiting an hour for my order to be taken. A waitress brought the cutlery but hadn't even taken my order. After asking, they said I'd be right there. After 20 minutes, I went ahead again and someone came up with it. There are usually a lot of people here.

We had to wait 1 hour for service, after several inquiries they didn't respond and were ignored. After 1.5 hours we were finally served.

Super nice staff and very friendly, food is as always very good and plentiful. The ambience is also ok and you can have a very good meal here, very happy to do so again.

Change of ownership - a shame! The best Greek now became below average. Smaller portions, gyros partly burnt, partly not cooked through. Salad is small, mostly iceberg lettuce with a dab of ready-made dressing. Ouzo is only served as a greeting, no second after the meal. Prices increased. Thanks to the service staff, the evening was still nice, but the quality couldn't be repeated.

This was my favorite Greek place for a long time, but our last few visits there were really not nice. The new team is so hectic, I always leave there stressed out lately. Even when it's busy, everyone tries to be quick and not make guests wait long, but as a guest, especially if you're sitting near the counter, you hear everything: how orders are loudly shouted to each other when you disagree and things are discussed loudly, etc. As a guest, I don't want or need to know or notice that. When you order, people don't really listen to you, when the order comes and it's not correct, it's treated very unpleasantly when you say it in a friendly way... You just don't feel comfortable anymore, despite the good food. This never happened to us with the old team. It was always relaxed, even when it was busy. The young female service staff should feel particularly addressed here!

We had dinner today (New Year's Eve) with 7 people. The food came after a reasonable wait. Starters, salad and main course all around delicious. A special thank you to our waitress Layla, who sweetened our evening.

Feeding 6 people who weren't registered in just one hour is quite a task. You mastered it brilliantly. Super friendly staff, very good cuisine and reasonable prices. We musicians were on stage on time and will be on December 27th next year. come back to you. That's for sure!!! Thank you for an hour in which we felt comfortable! Yes, what can I say here, we were there again today, the food was once again absolutely great, we had the platter for 2 for 52 euros... but that will feed 4 people, to be honest... we didn't have to wait long again despite being full Bude...I always come back

We were at the Restaurant Delphi in Gotha with 16 women on December 13th, 2024 and we were very satisfied with everything and what was special was “the best waitress" who tried hard for us. Respect. Otherwise all the employees were also very nice. That Food was great. Very tasty

Stop here on Wednesday in the run-up to Christmas for an evening in Greece. The operation is quick and everywhere at the same time. An order of fresh beer is picked up as it is being cleared and passed over to the counter man, goal! A side salad, crunchy but boring. Pork fillet pieces are hidden under the pepper sauce, but taste so tender that they don't need it. The pepper sauce is great. The room is permeated by music that isn't necessarily Greek, but is somehow intrusive and a little too loud for me. Highly recommended all around.

A restaurant with tradition and pleasant prices. On weekends you should reserve in advance. Highly recommended.

We have been here quite often and have always been satisfied. But today it was a disaster. Freezer and microwave greeted us. We definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

Yesterday we went to the Greek restaurant again. After the change of operator a lot has changed, but only for the better. Unfortunately, Galaktobóuriko is missing as a dessert on the new menu. Maybe that can still be changed. 😉

This Greek restaurant has been one of my absolute favorites for years and I always enjoy coming here. No matter how many times I visit, the quality of the food and service always remains at the highest level. As soon as I enter, I immediately feel at home - the ambience is warm and inviting, with an authentic Greek touch that always inspires me. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. The menu offers a wonderful variety of traditional Greek dishes, all freshly prepared with love. I would particularly like to highlight the delicious grilled dishes. Even after many visits, I still find new favorite dishes. It's this consistent quality and warmth that keeps me coming back. A restaurant that really deserves its place as a regular destination for good evenings!

We had lunch on the terrace, which, thanks to the rain protection, was a perfect place to linger even in the very uncomfortable weather. As hoped, the food was very plentiful and also really excellently prepared. The service was friendly and always available to respond to any requests. All in all, absolutely top.

Nice Greek atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, Ouzo before and after the meal ;) Starter salad and delicious food in portions that were actually too large... ;) Can be recommended all around. We didn't have a reservation on Saturday evening, but the service still made something possible.

We went there regularly before the restaurant closed almost a month ago. Now that it has “reopened” it’s just not nice anymore. The food and especially the service have deteriorated significantly. They brought us the bill but didn't charge us. After waiting for 10 minutes we put the money on the table and left. When we arrived we were told that it would be very difficult today without a reservation. We were given the most uncomfortable table in the far corner and throughout our stay there were several tables left both inside and on the terrace. The food is no longer the same as before, in our opinion it tasted like a “cheap” version of the previous one. In addition, the portions were much smaller. It used to be just better there.

Ich bin früher oft zu einem richtig guten, authentischen Griechen essen gegangen - das, was man im Delphi vorgesetzt bekommt, ähnelt einem guten griechischen Essen nicht im Entferntesten. Das Auberginenmus war eine undefinierbare Pampe, wenig Aubergine, viel - ja, ich konnte gar nicht herausschmecken, was es war: eine Art Creme fraiche, sehr fett, sehr schwer. Der Bauernsalat auch mit viel Sauce übergossen, geschmacklose Oliven und industriellem Feta, der ebenfalls nach nichts schmeckte. Bifteki ebenfalls keine Offenbarung. Dr Service ist ok, die Gerichte kommen flott. Die Einrichtung ist konsequent schräg - alles griechisch anmutender Kitsch.

It was unexpectedly delicious 😋, the size of the portions is very decent compared to the current trend in gastronomy, the service is good and the prices are absolutely reasonable. The large dining room lacks a bit of coziness, but overall this deficiency is rather minor. I can actually recommend it.

Great service, brings an ouzo with the menu. The food was excellent and it was a good thing that we only ordered different starters. It was more than enough.

Our expectations were met, but not exceeded! The food tasted good, but the service could be improved.

It was our first time there and we have already visited many Greek restaurants, but there has never been as much left on our plates as yesterday. And we weren't full because our selection simply didn't taste good. Pan gyros with metaxa sauce was completely over seasoned and didn't have much of metaxa sauce, In my opinion, stuffed grape leaves were completely inedible. We won't be going there again and can't recommend the food we chose. Very unfortunate

Very nice Greek restaurant! Be sure to reserve a table in advance - very well attended! Right at the start you get a schnapps on the house and a small salad. Staff very nice! Large selection - delicious food - large portions, at good prices! Parking spaces in front of the house. Definitely eat there!!!

We have been going here for years and are always very satisfied. The food comes quite quickly, the service is great. It is always well filled, which makes it clear that the guests are satisfied. We really enjoy coming, the prices are affordable. Sitting on the outdoor terrace even in summer is simply wonderful. Keep it up!

Wir wurden an einen gut sichtbaren Platz gebracht, trotzdem hat man uns oft übersehen. Bei der Bestellung wurde manchmal einiges vergessen. Das Essen war sehr gut und ausreichend. Es ist ja bei einem Griechen üblich, dass man immer mit einem Ouzo über die Wartezeit gebracht wird. Leider war das bei uns nicht der Fall. Nach langer Zeit stellte man fest, dass bei uns noch kein Ouzo gereicht wurde. An anderen Tischen wurde ständig neuer Ouzo angeboten und gebracht. Der Ouzo ist nicht unsere Hauptsache, dass wir zum Griechen gehen, aber für einen Abend von über 2,5 Stunden ist eine Runde zu wenig. Aber naja, wir haben kein Problem damit, kommen aber trotzdem nicht wieder.

Das Essen kam trotz vollem Restaurant schnell an. Allerdings war das Essen, wenn überhaupt durchschnittlich. Der Salat bestand zu 90% aus Eisbergsalat (ohne Dressing) und freundlich war die Bedienung auch nicht. Vegetarische Mahlzeiten wurden auf der Speisekarte vermisst. Das Fleisch war auch eher trocken und nicht so lecker.

Sehr netter Service, schnelle Bedienung, leckeres Essen. Wir hatten nicht reserviert und Glück nur noch ein Tisch frei. Daher sollte man reservieren. Wir kommen wieder Preis Leistung Ambiente stimmt. Wir durften sogar unsere kleinen Hündchen mit reinnehmen und nicht im Auto lassen. Das gibt noch mal einen extra Stern, weiter so!

Das war ein toller Abend... Die Vorspeise war lecker und hat super geschmeckt 😋 Das Hauptgericht schmeckte super und war ein griechisches Geschmackserlebnis.... Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist absolut korrekt und super. Der Service war echt gut und empfehlenswert... Dieser Grieche ist echt eine Reise wert

Lecker Essen auch ohne Reservierung. Am Wochenende jedoch unbedingt reservieren. Oder Essen to Go bestellen und abholen. An der Tür hängen die Corona Regeln, die bei unserem Besuch allerdings nicht kontrolliert wurden. Lag es daran, dass am Samstag Abend zu viele Essen gehen wollen? Da ist kein Abstand halten mehr möglich... Update nach Corona: Es wurde einiges Aufgehübscht. Auch die Speisekarte. Sehr ansprechend und sämtliche Sonderwünsche werden realisiert. Und Essen to go gibt es weiterhin. 👍👍

Ein schönes Restaurant und das Essen war sehr lecker. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, aber als das Lokal voll wurde, fehlte die Organisation und der Überblick.

Ich komme seit vielen Jahren sehr gern hierher, muss aber sagen, das es mittlerweile immer so voll ist und es dadurch auch unglaublich laut ist und man sich nicht ordentlich mit seinen Tischnachbarn unterhalten kann. Das Essen war wie immer sehr gut, lecker und auch ausreichend von der Portion, nur der Vorspeisensalat wurde etwas verändert, das leckere Dressing wurde ausgetauscht, gegen ein Senfdressing. Der Service trotz der vielen Gäste war gut, allerdings hatten wir 5 verschiedene Bedienungen an dem Abend.

Immer wieder ein schönes Erlebnis. Wir waren nun schon sehr oft hier. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und man fühlt sich wohl hier. Besonders auch beim letzten Mal. Das Lokal war sehr voll, aber wir haben (auch one Reservierung) eine schönen Tich erhalten und die Bedienung war besonders nett. Über's Essen kann man nur sagen: Schmeckt Alles ganz toll! :-)

Ich war viele Jahre nicht mehr dort und war neugierig wie es jetzt dort ist. War sehr positiv überrascht und kann diese griechische Gaststätte nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Oder lieber nicht, sonst bekommt man überhaupt keinen Platz mehr 😉🤣. Große Essen Auswahl und schmeckt sehr lecker. Service ist auch sehr freundlich, also gerne bald wieder.

Waren heute zum Mittag essen. Können es nur weiter empfehlen. Nee glatte 10 . Keine lange Warte Zeit . Das Personal ist super freundlich. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen .

Kurz und Knapp: Rundum perfekt. Hier ist man mehr als nur Gast, hier ist man Freund. Stets willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Selten so gut, reichhaltig und rundum versorgt gegessen. Preise sind absolut angemessen, die Qualität der Speisen merklich gaumenfreundlich. Danke auch für die aufmerksame Bedienung. Fazit: Wir kommen wieder, ganz bestimmt. :)

Leider nicht mehr so gut, es war über sehr viele Jahre ein gutes griechisches Restaurant, hat aber leider sehr stark nachgelassen. Schade ... sehr verbesserungswürdig. Wir hoffen das es wieder besser wird.

Wir haben die Gelegenheit für ein Geschätsessen genutzt und rechtzeitig vorbestellt ...neben moderaten Preisen fühlt sich der Gast bei schmackhaften Essen und gutem Service wohl...auch die automatisch überdachbare Terrasse hat bei diesem Wetter ihre Vorteile...insgesamt ein gelungener Auftakt für eine gute Geschäftsbeziehung.

Großes Restaurant im 1. OG mit sehr großen Portionen, sehr viele Gäste tragen Plastiktüten mit ihren eingepackten Resten nach Hause.

Gerne wieder die Ansicht draussen ist keine 5 Sterne wert tut dem ganzen aber auch kein Abbruch.

Food was on my taste (but depends on everyone taste) and stuff was very friendly, even I wasn’t spoke german. It’s a nice place where you can eat in Gotha.

Kommen seit Jahren 2-3 Mal pro Jahr. Nicht mehr das Delpi von früher, Fisch...paniert, Portionen kleiner aber vor allem, Bedienung der deutschen Sprache nicht mächtig, unfreundlich, nicht flexibel. Die Speisen lieblos angerichtet. Nie mehr wieder.

Ein schönes griechisches Restaurant. Die Auswahl ist super, für jeden ist was dabei. Für mich sind vor allem die Kartoffeln in der Metaxa Soße ganz große Klasse! Ein kulinarischer Genuss. Für Fleischliebhaber ist der Spezialteller perfekt! Auch zum Mitnehmen ist das Essen geeignet. Alles in allem ein tolles Restaurant!

Wir sind wieder beeindruckt von Service und Essen. Wir haben vermisst diese Essen und Service Qualität. Freundlichkeit, und so eine Qualität von Essen findest du hier jederzeit. Danke Schön für alles.

Wir holen viel und gern Essen im Delphi aber heute war ich echt enttäuscht. Die Preise steigen und das ist völlig verständlich aaaaber... dann dürfen die Portionen nicht kleiner werden. Ein Beispiel ist die Vorspeisenplatte... eine kleine für 8€ gibt es nicht mehr und auf der großen für knapp14€ ist nun die Menge der kleinen. Traurig bei dem Preis. Trotzdem ist die Qualität vom Essen spitze und damit sind wir sehr zufrieden.

I never tough that I would be so satisfied and happy that I choose to eat there. The food taste wonderfull, best souce, the service are unbelievable. I hope I would have the oportunity to eat here again.!!!
