The Meta is a safe bet if you want to eat very well in a beautiful atmosphere and great service. Both the excellent starters (Loukaniko on fava with caramelized onions is awesome, for example), as well as the diverse main courses and desserts are consistently great. The wine selection is also worth highlighting, there are both inexpensive entry-level wines as well as real top wines and rarities and everything in between. The Meta is not cheap, but the price/performance ratio is definitely not only suitable, but actually very good.

I had very high expectations, but they have not been met. I think the price is not worth it. Correct food, but I expected something more.

After a long break due to moving, the meta for a family celebration was once again. Excellent advice in advance, perfect appointment reminders, very friendly and professional contact. On the evening of the event everything was well prepared, the service was, as usual, super friendly and really on point! The food (we had chosen the recommended menu) was delicate, great starter platters, both the meat and fish for the main course were perfectly cooked and super tasty, as were the side dishes. The mixed dessert plates were highly praised by everyone and were completely cleaned up. The wines selected went well. All in all: a wonderful evening with excellent cuisine and unbeatable service. Any time!!! You are missing in Munich!!!

We were “guests” at Meta as part of our Christmas party. Since there were 19 of us, we were given a "small card" without any information about prices when we made the reservation. The taste of the restaurant was convincing, but the service on site was rather poor. Requested drinks such as Radler Soezi, Fanta, ... were not available and the empty plates were left at the table for up to 30 minutes. However, the rude awakening came when paying. The “small menu” was sold to us as a menu costing €58. So we were charged the full price, even though the majority of the party had only eaten one main course. The dubious discussion was ended with a reference to the terms and conditions (false statement from the restaurateur about the cost of the menu). We covered the bill in full. Ultimately, the impression of an incompetent, arrogant and decadent restaurateur remained. - It's a shame, customer orientation looks different.

Food was good. Portion rather small. However, the prices are hefty. Service was partly friendly. However, after the first drink (before eating) we didn't get anything to drink and then sat for 1.5 hours without drinks. This was also communicated when paying.

Meta is definitely one of the best spots offering authentic greek food in Ulm. We visited as a group of 6 and mostly ordered seafood. The food was very fresh and tasted great! The menu is a bit pricey, but worth the trial. Totally recommended 👍

We were served confidently and very friendly. The food - mixed grill plate, vegetarian salad, children's plate of meat cakes with French fries - tasted excellent. Recommended.

Locale dove non si mangia male. Oggi probabilmente tutto molto in fretta e mancanza di cura dell’ospite. Bifteki “crudo” tipi tartare. La mia grigliata mista buona. Il colmo è che “vin santo” greco “Organico” da 12€ al bicchiere viene portato al tavolo con molti residui (fondo di bottiglia). Il cameriere invece di riconoscere l’errore provava a spacciare il vino santo greco come prelibatezza e dubitava della mia capacità di discernere. Inoltre avendo avuto il tavolo fino alle ore 20.00 dalle 19.30 venivamo invitati a saldare il conto ed andarcene. Per un locale con tante pretese assolutamente ridicolo.

Food was very tasty. I had the tuna as a starter and the lentil salad with cheese as my main course. However, the seat at the high table with the high chairs was not that comfortable. Since we hadn't made a reservation, we were happy to get a place 😀

Jeder hat ja eine zweite Chance verdient. Somit zweiter Versuch mit der Familie. Leider war das Essen derart schlecht, dass es teilweise zurück ging. Hat den service aber nicht interessiert. Die Frage ob es geschmeckt hat wird gar nicht gestellt. Sonst teilweise versalzen und über dem Fisch soviel Zitronensaft, dass man sonst nichtmehr geschmeckt hat. Einer der Gäste wurde nicht rein gelassen mit der Begründung er wisse nicht an welchem Tisch wir sitzen würden. Nach 15 Minuten Wartezeit habe ich den gast danbn rein geholt. Im Restaurant ist es sehr laut. Dies liegt teilweise an den Räumen selbst aber auch daran, dass man überall noch einen Stuhl reinquetscht um noch etwas mehr Umsatz zu machen. So kommt richtiges Kantinenfeeling auf Das ganze dann zu Preisen die noch gesalzener als das Essen sind. Für uns und unsere Familie bzw, Freunde sicher der letzte Besuch. Mal sehen wie lange dies Geschäftskonzept noch funktioniert

Today we were at Meta with 7 people to celebrate a birthday. We were asked to decorate the table beautifully! The table looked like all other tables even though we were told it was specially decorated! Of 7 meals, 3 were too salty!

Vorspeise aus versalzenem Thunfischtartar und zu trockenen Fischstreifchen. Hauptgang Lachs (wieder zu trocken) mit kleiner Kartoffel-/ Gemüsebeilage (okay). Den Beilagensalat ließen wir zurückgehen, da die streng und salzig schmeckende Dressing wie Industriesauce schmeckte. Knapper Kommentar des Kellners: „IHRE Meinung“. Zweite Hauptspeise Bifteki mit Pommes Frites und Zaziki akzeptabel für Liebhaber heftiger Knoblauch-Würzung. Das Lokal ist sehr laut, wozu die „Hintergrundmusik“ beiträgt, von der man nur das Wummern der Bässe wahrnehmen kann. Aufdringlicher Service mit ständiger Getränke-Nachfrage. Überteuert, z.B. 0,5 l Mineralwasser = € 5,60.

Won't be coming back again. The food is good, the portions are rather small and the prices are high. The atmosphere wasn't very relaxed. All in all, we still tried to enjoy the evening, ordered properly and celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. When we paid with the card, we added a big tip. As a thank you, the waiter didn't even look at us, took the EC machine and just went on without so much as a "goodbye". This leaves a negative aftertaste.

Werden nicht nochmal wiederkommen. Das Essen ist gut, die Portionen eher klein und mit stolzen Preisen. Das Ambiente war nicht sehr entspannt. Alles in allem haben wir den Abend trotzdem versucht zu geniessen, ordentlich bestellt und unseren 10. Hochzeitstag gefeiert. Beim Zahlen mit der Karte noch ordentlich Trinkgeld draufgelegt, als Dankeschön würdigte uns der Kellner keines Blickes, nahm sich das EC Gerät und ging einfach weiter ohne auch nur ein „Tschüss“. Das hinterlässt einen negativen Beigeschmack.

We had dinner with 6 people on August 17th, 2024, the online reservation was a problem, there was no confirmation, only after the third attempt, the waiter was very arrogant, we had a starter, main course and dessert, we finished our meal finished, and then we weren't asked if we wanted something more to drink, we then waited forever for the bill, unfortunately there was no tip

Das Erlebnis im Meta war etwas ungewöhnlich: Eigentlich war das Essen sehr gut (aber auch recht teuer), das ganze Restaurant sehr edel und geschmackvoll, der Service freundlich. Sehr witzig fanden wir die Idee des Überraschungsweins! Aber irgendwie fühlten wir uns hier einfach nicht richtig wohl. Vielleicht lag es am etwas übereifrigen Service, der uns gleich viermal fragte, ob wir eine Flasche Wasser wollen, vielleicht die grenzwertigen Preise, vielleicht war alles etwas zu gewollt – es war jedenfalls irgendwie unentspannt und ohne richtigen Wohlfühlfaktor.

Despite some of bad reviews from previous years, I decided to cancel a German restaurant and came to reserve a table on Friday 1h before opening (at 17:00). Surprisingly, they had places. At the end, it was a perfect dinner! Their chef is a professional! I liked everything we ordered: salad Surf & Turf (with black Angus beef and grilled calamari), Duett (grilled haloumi cheese and artichokes), pita, chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and red currant! Olives, bread with olive oil were also very tasty! I give a credit to the waiter, who spoke English very well. He forgot that we ordered one of the dishes but he apologised and said it’s his fault without further discussion. Not all people accept their mistakes so easy. Overall, highly recommended! But better book a table in advance.

I came especially from Innsbruck and due to the traffic I was 20 minutes late. Instead of 9 p.m. I arrived at 9:20 p.m., I even knew what I wanted to eat and I was simply told that the kitchen would like to do it at 9 p.m :20. Many people raved about Meta, unfortunately it didn't happen, so I would prefer to give it 0 stars because there was no response at all

The food is always fresh and very culinary Greek, or just a good steak on the plate. There is no big, overloaded map, rather small and fine. Fish and meat and a little more salad. They also have a very well-stocked wine list. The prices are OK. The atmosphere is cozy and the waitresses are always nice and friendly. There is usually a place for two people, at lunchtime 90% of the time and in the evening if you're lucky, but it's safest to order in advance as the place is a bit small and very popular. We've been eating there for about 5 years, even at lunchtime with a slightly cheaper lunch menu, and have always been very satisfied. We don't normally do that, but this time we recommended a restaurant, Meta. And our acquaintances, who already know a few more, thanked us yesterday for this wonderful tip. They were also thrilled that the food was excellent.

The food was excellent. We had the meat skewers and the vegetarian salad. The aromas from the grilling of the meat were particularly impressive – simply delicious. The service was very attentive and friendly, which is particularly noteworthy. We also really liked the large selection of international wines on the separate wine list. The ambience is beautiful and everything looks high quality. We can highly recommend the restaurant!

DO NOT EAT here. The staff are rude…and forced us to leave when the restaurant wasn’t even FULL. We sat for 20 minutes, and we were patient. I was about to take a call outside and wanted to let them know we were ready to order. The manager the night of 19 July, said we didn’t have a reservation we don’t get served. But the restaurant was EMPT and there were 12 empty tables. What poor customer service and it’s shameful to treat people as we are not worth to be in the restaurant. I have always felt welcome as a Greek Canadian, living in Ulm , that gentleman made us expats feel unwanted and the lowest of the low. Don’t waste your money.

Highly Recommended. Everything fits here, ambience, properly prepared meat, great salad and friendly service. Even salt and pepper shakers are well filled. Any time.

European evening and in the streets of ULM you can hear rejoicing for the goals and celebrate. In this place with an outdoor space I managed to find a free table after a bit of waiting which was worth it. Good service, excellent wine and super, nice and fresh food. I will definitely go back. There were seven of us at Meta on Friday evening, the online reservation worked great and the service was friendly. However, the price-performance ratio is underground. The prices of the a la carte dishes are already exorbitant (tzatziki €8.50, peppers stuffed with feta €20.50), and the daily specials are outrageously expensive. Unfortunately, we weren't given a price when he recommended it (1 sea bream in lemon juice for 2 people + some grilled vegetables = €78). It was a run-of-the-mill meal that doesn't justify the price in any way. If you're not looking for anything special and want to spend a lot of money, this is the right place for you. It's a shame that unfortunately spoiled our appetite.

I had a very lovingly prepared starter plate that not only looked good, but was also super tasty. Plus the extremely polite staff. All in all a successful evening. It's worth a visit, thank you very much.

There were four of us here. Three people got their food, the fourth didn't even after repeated requests. It kept saying “in twenty minutes.” After more than two hours and long after three of us had eaten, we canceled the fourth meal. Comment from the waiter: "Great, then I have dinner now." The drinks we ordered didn't come either, at some point we were promised free dessert to compensate - but of course it never arrived. That's why we don't go to Meta anymore.

Well, I've never experienced anything like that! We drove there from Laupheim and made reservations! It was totally worth it!! A bombastically good Greek with style!!! The food was excellent, the service and friendliness were enormous to great, the atmosphere was super cool!!! Everything just fit and worked. The dessert was so good and even the coffee was top quality so I took some coffee beans home with me. Thank you for the unforgettable, wonderful evening! Martin Maier, Laupheim

Actually, a happy coincidence brought us here! The nice, friendly and competent waitress immediately pointed out to us that the closing time was 2:30 p.m. and said that we were welcome to get a table and eat! The restaurant is excellent! From the starter to the main course we were more than satisfied. Very great ambience, the excellent cuisine and the charm of the restaurant are really worth a visit!

So far we've always enjoyed going meta. Unfortunately, yesterday was an absolute no-go: We paid our bill together in cash, including a 15 euro tip, and were then suspected of NOT having paid. The service came to our table a total of 4 times (!) and asked whether and with whom we had paid and started a discussion. Big aggressive discussion among the service staff in front of us as guests about where the money had gone. The waiter's fake friendly but subtly aggressive demeanor made us so insecure and ruined the mood that we left. Overall, the service was very hectic, you had the feeling that you barely had time to order/eat, the volume of the music was club level, and it was difficult to have a conversation. It's a shame, but it's no longer a good address and we won't be going there anymore.

We actually always enjoyed going to Meta, be it with friends or on special occasions. In the meantime the paint is really off...the service is fake friendly, no real cordiality, you can hardly expect more given the number of guests being processed. The noise level is extremely high and a relaxed conversation is almost impossible. The food used to make up for it - apart from the perfectly fried scallop, everything else was now rather average and the price-performance ratio no longer fits in our opinion. It's a real shame that quantity counts more than class now... the place will continue to hum... without us.

Unfortunately, the meta is no longer as good as it once was. Bifteki was fine. However, our meat on the grill plates was completely black and tasted burnt. After the complaint, the friendly young waiter immediately took the food back and reordered the dish. Unfortunately, the second time the lamb chop was completely black, burnt and tough, so you couldn't even cut it. The head waiter got quite loud when he said it again and said it wasn't burnt, but only looked that way because of the lava stone grill - excuse. Even on a lava stone I don't have to let the good meat burn. There were also large pieces of fat in the meat skewers, which corresponds to poor quality. The food is not worth the money. Unfortunately the visit was so unpleasant that we won't come again.

The staff was super attentive and friendly. We ordered the carpaccio and the artichokes with cheese as entrance to share, and the dorada fish as main dish. Everything was super delicious. The presentation was nice, too. The atmosphere was cozy, and there was enough space between tables. The coffee was one of the best coffees i have tasted in Ulm. There is a garage parking lot near the restaurant, which makes it pretty accessible .

One of the excellent restaurants in Ulm. The Meta is characterized by upscale Mediterranean cuisine. *Not* a typical Greek, even if you can actually find bifteki on the map here. Instead, stylish ambience, friendly and courteous service. The menu isn't too big, but everything is absolutely fresh and new recommendations are offered every day. Vegetarian, fish, meat, vegetables, salads, desserts, everything is there. Selected wine list, excellent espresso. I particularly enjoy eating grilled fish. Nice places to sit in the fresh air in summer. The service is warm and attentive, very well trained. The recommendations are always worth paying attention to.

Maybe service first ? Over the holidays I came to this cute little town and met up with a friend I haven’t seen in ages . We met for dinner at this restaurant. All I can say is: NEVER AGAIN !! We started off with some flat bread to dip in olive oil, but the bottle was empty. So we pointed it out very politely to a tiny skinny gentlemen with a beard working the service . Well , apparently he did not like it , and gave us a bullocking telling us it is not a must the olive oil bottle is full … both my friend and I worked world wide in top notch hospitality and for a restaurant that tries to be somewhat better you can expect the mise en place is impeccable and it not, don’t come with an attitude young man! Especially as my friend asked very polite . We told our waiter, but instead offering an apology he just said , I hope you enjoy the food ….. really ??We were in shock by this service !!! And to be honest , I ordered “Hühnchenbrustfilet” that tasted like the bottom of my shoe… go look somewhere else , Ulm has so many new and nicer offers than that , who offer quality with great service.

Außerordentlich gut - angefangen bei der Vorspeise und geendet beim Service

Wir haben einen Tisch für 2 Personen reserviert. Uns wurde jedoch gleich mitgeteilt, dass der Tisch lediglich für 2 Stunden reserviert ist. Naja, zum Essen reicht es ja eigentlich auch. Die Kellner sind alle nett, jedoch kommt keine gemütliche Stimmung auf, so wie man das von einem mediterranem Lokal gewohnt ist. Eher wird man schnell "abgefertigt". Die Speisen waren o.K. aber mehr auch nicht. Zudem sehr sehr „übersichtlich“ angeordnet. Fazit: Wer einen gemütlichen Griechen sucht sollte dieses Lokal meiden. Wer darauf keinen Wert legt und einfach nur schnell essen gehen möchte macht hier aber auch nichts falsch.

Familiär, freundlich, zuvorkommend. Sehr lecker gekocht. Sehr gute Weinkarte. Sehr stimmiges Lokal. Klare Empfehlung. Was will man mehr?

Ich war heute da wollte essen mitnehmen aber war nichts möglich irgendwie machen die das nichts. Auf jeden Falls bin trotzdem da geblieben weil ich Bock auf griechisches Essen hatte. Súper Service, leckeres Essen aber finde die Portion etwas wenig für das gesamte Preis! Sonst alles lecke ich hatte die Fleischspieße gewählt und war gut. Wurde weiter empfehlen aber vlt das bei die Portionen mehr daran arbeiten, dafür nur 4 Sternen

Wir waren gestern im Metá essen und sehr begeistert von diesem wunderbaren Service - wirklich alle waren so unfassbar freundlich, zuvorkommend, schnell und einfach kompetent in ihrer Arbeitsweis. Man spürt sofort, dass man hier als Gast Königin/ König ist. Das Essen ist natürlich auch hervorrangend und das Ambiente sehr wunderbar. Die Olivenbäume bescheren einem direkt ein Urlaubsfeeling :-) Wir kommen sehr sehr gerne wieder!

Das Essen hat eine etwas gehobenenere Preisklasse, die aber berechtigt ist. Das Essen war sehr lecker, vom Salat bis zum Steak. Freundliche Bedienung. Dass das Bier vergessen wurde, sei verziehen..😉 Empfehlenswert!!

Von A bis Z einfach Top. Der Service und die Mitarbeiter sind kaum zu übertreffen. Alle sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen ist zudem sehr gut und absolut empfehlenswert. Das man draußen sitzen kann ist ebenfalls ein Pluspunkt. Ohne Reservierung ist es am Wochenende vermutlich nicht möglich einen Tisch zu erhalten. Parken kann man direkt im Salzstadel und kommt quasi direkt hier raus.

Schöne Atmosphäre, große Auswahl, gute Qualität. Leider wenig vegetarische Gerichte und recht teuer.

Leider war mein Besuch heute im Meta sehr ernüchternd. Man hat mir einen Tisch drinnen in einer kleinen Ecke angeboten und mich im Anschluss gekonnt ignoriert. Meine vielen Versuche mit einem Kellner Kontakt aufzunehmen sind leider gescheitert. Wenn man zu vielen Personen kommt ist man gern gesehen, da die Rechnung höher ist. Kommt man alleine wird man mit Ignoranz gestraft. Hier komme ich sicher nicht mehr her. Schade.

tolles Lokal in der City von Ulm mit aufmerksamen Service und sehr guter Küche. Mein Tipp ist die Meeresfrüchte Vorspeise.

Einfach gut. Die kalte Vorspeisenplatte ist wunderbar angerichtet und ein Geschmackserlebnis. Wir waren schon mehrmals dort und haben noch nie schlecht gegessen. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm, das Restaurant modern und die Kellner machen einen super Job. Kein typischer Grieche mit Gyros, Kartoffelscheiben und Reis, sondern geschmackvoll und etwas gehobener, einfach Mal was anderes.

Mein Sohn hat das Filet , ich das Australische Rib-Eye gegessen, jeweils mit einem leckeren frischen Salat und Rosmarin Kartöffelchen. Das ganze Essen absolut top, kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, auch das Preis-Leistungsverhälnis passt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall immer wieder gerne kommen. Auch der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Reservierung eines Tisches ohne Probleme Im Restaurant warteten wir am Eingang auf den Service-Mitarbeiter --- Der Herr war launisch und nicht sympathisch. Er wies uns einen Tisch zu als ich um einen anderen Tisch bat bekamen wir eine so trotzige Reaktion /Antwort das wir das Lokal wieder verließen ----- über das Essen kann ich leider dadurch keine Aussage treffen !

Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants ist nett und modern. Wir hatten drei Gänge bestellt. Grundsätzlich war die Qualität aller Speisen gut. Enttäuschend war allerdings die besondere Empfehlung des Kellners. Uns wurde ein besonderer Fleischspiess empfohlen... serviert wurde ein Spiess mit mittelmäßiger Fleischqualität (viel zu fettig) und einem viel zu flüssigen Kartoffelstampf. Leider hatten wir bei der Bestellung nicht nach dem Preis gefragt. Es gab aber auch keinen aktiven Hinweis vom Kellner. Auf der Rechnung standen für dieses Gericht dann stolze 39 EUR - was völlig unverhältnismäßig für die Qualität war. Ich habe grundsätzlich etwas gegen solche Praktiken. Wir werden das Restaurant so schnell nicht mehr besuchen!

Geschultes, aufmerksames Personal, tolles Ambiente, das Essen mehr als eine Empfehlung wert, ein gelungener Abend, gerne wieder !!!!!

Nach dem Eintreffen wurde die Karte überreicht und auf die "Specials" hingewiesen. Interessante und ideenreiche Karte. Außengastronomie in schöner Lage in der Fussgängerzone. Aufmerksame und schnelle Bedienenun. PERFEKT !

Tolles Lokal, lecker essen, super Service, aber Preis- Leistung angemessen. Werden dort noch öfters zu Gast sein. Fühlen uns immer sehr willkommen.

Délicieuses salades accompagnées d’un bon vin italien. Assiettes généreuses. Produits de qualité. Service adorable. Jolie décoration.

Wer gerne in 2-Stunden-Schichten zum Essen geht, ist hier richtig. Wir kamen uns sehr gehetzt während des Essens vor. Die Vorspeise kam auf Grund von vielen Gästen etwas spät, das Hauptgericht allerdings kam 10 Minuten vor dem Schichtende! Mit dem freundlichen aber bestimmten Hinweis auf die Zeit war es mehr ein Fast-Food. Die halbe Flasche Wein war auch noch voll. Punkt 20 Uhr wurden wir vom Tisch gejagt! Wenn das Gastronomie nach der Pandemie sein soll, dann gehe ich nicht mehr Essen. Ein gemütlicher Abend mit Freunden beim Essen sieht anders aus. Der Küche allerdings muss man ein Lob aussprechen. Die Speisen haben gut geschmeckt.
