We were nearby and stopped in because of the good reviews. The ambience is rather rustic, the service familiar and friendly. The lamb shank in lemon sauce was excellent and fell easily from the bone. My recommendation for this. The calamari also tasted great.

The dishes are always fresh and prepared with passion by the owner's mother. Fabulous! Very good service, professional, and fast! Very good value for money...

We went to the ouzeria yesterday. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and had a typically Greek flavor. We particularly enjoyed the authentic flavors. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, a wonderful experience – we'd love to come back!

We had an older menu at home (probably from 2-3 years ago). When we ordered, we were surprised by the final price. Halloumi cheese had gone up from €6.50 to €11. White beans had also gone up by €4 to €12. Gyros had also risen significantly to €18. So, I can still handle the gyros. It was filling. But I personally think four slices of cheese for €11 is too expensive. For less than €11, I can get a good, filling kebab with meat. The food was good, but I found it too expensive and wouldn't order there again.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good on our last visit. The bifteki wasn't cooked properly, and the potatoes were stale. It was a shame; the first visit was much better.

We come regularly. Excellent quality and great conditions. I highly recommend it.

I always enjoy coming here. The chef is a real character and very welcoming. Important: always order drinks first (everyone at the table), then the food. He remembers this even months after you've been there. It's also important to eat up everything, otherwise you won't get any sweets.

Hello, we were there on Sunday, July 6th, around 6 p.m. The weather was fine and we sat down at one of the numerous free tables. After 5 minutes the waiter came OT: "Reserved?" We said "NO" He said "then nothing"... that was it. He was so rude that we got up and left. As I said, almost everything was free and he would have argued "no problem" but he just didn't feel like it. That's why we'll never go back. After all, there are enough great Greek restaurants WITH hospitality in Ulm and the surrounding area.

With his warm manner, attentiveness, and unparalleled sense of hospitality, he made our visit truly special. Stefanos is not only fast and professional, but also brings a generous dose of warmth and humor – you feel like you're staying with good friends. He knows the menu inside and out and delighted us with his culinary recommendations (especially the meze menu!). The food was a dream: fresh, authentic, and prepared with love. Every little thing – from the homemade tzatziki to the tender lamb – was perfectly seasoned. The selection of ouzo and Greek wines also left nothing to be desired.

Even on my annual vacations in Greece, I haven't eaten as well as at Sofia. The service is extremely friendly and welcoming, and everything is made possible. The ambiance is very pleasant and spacious. I highly recommend this restaurant. A family business with heart.

Disappointing and completely unacceptable – no trace of hospitality I rarely write reviews, but in this case, I feel compelled to do so. What happened to my mother, my girlfriend, and me during our visit was simply unacceptable – especially considering the fact that we had reserved a table in advance. Even when we were ordering, we were addressed in such an unfriendly tone that it almost seemed as if the waiter wanted to get rid of us immediately. Before we could even order, he emphasized how long certain dishes would take to prepare – with an undertone that practically pressured us to choose other dishes. Misunderstandings or stressful situations can, of course, occur in the restaurant industry, and I generally understand that. But what is completely unacceptable is taking out this frustration on guests in such an open and dismissive manner. I have never experienced such unpleasant treatment in a restaurant before – I was truly shocked. As the evening progressed, we felt consistently ignored and treated as unwelcome guests. If only regular customers were served in a friendly manner, a notice to that effect at the entrance would have at least been honest. Especially from a Greek restaurant, I would have expected a minimum level of warmth and hospitality. However, this experience clearly showed me: Without this minimum level, even the best food is useless. For us, one thing is clear: a return visit is out of the question.

Hi, I went there with my girlfriend for the first time today. The food was really great and the service was friendly. Cheerful waitresses are part of a successful evening. Why you should make a reservation. Thank you for everything, and stay the way you are.

The portions are sufficient to fill you up. The taste, however, wasn't good; it was rather bland. The rice noodles tasted like they came from a can! The tzatziki doesn't deserve its name! And the garlic bread has probably never seen garlic. Service: Terrible! I've never had a waiter nudge me to push my appetizer aside while I'm still eating it so he can serve the main course from the right. That's unacceptable! My direct criticism was simply dismissed with a smile and the words "he's been trained to do it that way." The other reviews that criticized the service are completely correct!

We've been there before and it was a really lovely evening with good food, which is why we decided to go back with friends and recommend the restaurant to them. Unfortunately, we were greeted very grumpily and the waiter seemed in a bad mood. The food was really tasty and came surprisingly quickly, although the portions could have been a bit bigger. We were really looking forward to going back, but the waiter's unfriendly manner spoiled the evening for us and we ate as quickly as possible before leaving. He was very friendly to the regular customers, though. If you only come every now and then, you're a second-choice customer and are treated accordingly. We can't recommend it anymore.

A culinary gem in Ulm! My visit to the Ouzeria by Sofia restaurant was a completely successful experience! From the warm welcome to the last bite of the exquisite dessert, everything was just right. The cozy, inviting atmosphere makes the restaurant ideal for both romantic evenings and social gatherings with friends. The service was attentive and efficient - the staff worked quickly, were always friendly and had excellent memory for remembering all orders. Particularly noteworthy: All guests are greeted personally and by name. But the real highlight was the outstanding quality of the food: freshly prepared, full of flavor and perfectly balanced. The rump steak was a dream – cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. The other dishes also left nothing to be desired. Due to high demand, I recommend making a reservation in good time as the restaurant is often busy. The prices are absolutely reasonable considering the top quality and excellent service. An absolute must for connoisseurs – I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Rating: 10/10

Heute mal eine ganz andere Bewertung. Meine Freundin und ich waren eigentlich voller Vorfreude und wollten das leckere Essen, dass ja so gut bewertet wird, probieren. Krankheitsbedingt mussten meine Freundin und ich leider unsere Reservierung stornieren. Zeitgleich hat allerdings meine Freundin einen neuen Termin vereinbaren wollen. Da wurde dann einfach aufgelegt. Freundlichkeit geht anders. Werden das Restaurant nicht weiterempfehlen.

Went here for lunch on a public holiday. It was cold outside and unfortunately inside too. The food was very good. Unfortunately the service is not that good. One waiter was very nice and the other was rather grumpy. Regular guests are treated better and given priority. Too bad.

Here we were even allowed to choose between Ouzo, Limoncello and Ramazzotti. The service is very special and may take some getting used to for some.
