Restaurant Meteora in Magdeburg

Wir waren am 15.08.2026 zum Mittag anlässlich der Einschulung unseres Sohnes dort essen, insgesamt 13 Personen. Essen war soweit ok. Einer unserer Gäste meinte, dass die Kartoffelscheiben zu seinem Gericht langweilig waren, eine andere meinte, dass die gegrillte Leber auch schon mal besser war. Am Ende bekamen wir eine Rechnung von 344,50 €, erstmal ok für 13 Personen. Leider musste ich am nächsten Tag beim Blick auf die Rechnung feststellen, dass uns ein Hauptgericht (Scampies-Spezialpfanne) für 24,00 €, ein Wasser 0,7 l für 6,50 € und ein Alsterwasser 0,5 l für 5,50 € zu viel berechnet wurden. Die Bedienung (Frau des Inhabers) war extra nochmal bei uns am Tisch und hatte gefragt, ob wir dieses Gericht einmal oder zweimal hatten. Insgesamt haben wir also 36,00 € zu viel bezahlt, sehr ärgerlich.

War ein schön eingerichtetes Restaurant und das Personal war freundlich. Das Essen war leider eher durchschnittlich. Und dafür dann über eine Stunde warten und 100€+ bezahlen ist schon happig.

Fast 1 1/2 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet ,dann kommt Vorspeise und Hauptgang zusammen . Das Essen ( bifteki ) lauwarm . Das geht garnicht . Selbst beim bezahlen hat es fast 15 Minuten gedauert. Mein persönliches Fazit muss ich mir nicht nochmals antun .

Wenn wir zum Griechen essen gehen, dann hier. Absolut freundlicher Service, tolle Location und super Essen

von aussen sehr unscheinbar...Ich war positiv überrascht ...das Essen war sehr lecker und es gab eine grosse Auswahl. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend.

Sehr guter Grieche mit typischen Gerichten und gutem Service. Unbedingt vorher reservieren, da es sogar unter der Woche voll ist. Für uns der beste Grieche in Magdeburg.

Wir waren seit langem mal wieder dort. Das Restaurant liegt am Rande von Magdeburg, hat einen großen Parkplatz. Der Innenbereich ist schön hell und die Tischabteilungen sind griechisch weiß abgetrennt. Zum Sonntag Mittag sollte man reservieren. Das Speisekarte ist nicht so üppig wie in anderen griech. Restaurants. Salat zur Vorspeise als Selbstbedienung ist toll. Es gibt leider nur 1 Begrüßungsouzo, leider nicht wie üblich auch zum Abschluss. Das Essen war lecker und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Essen schmeckt super und das Personal ist auch immer sehr freundlich. Ich kann jedem die Nummer 36 empfehlen, was anderes habe ich auch nicht probiert, die aber dafür schon über 10 Mal und wurde nie enttäuscht!

Das Restaurant ist recht schick. Stilvolle schlichte Einrichtung. Das essen war ok hat aber nicht vom hocker gehauen. Ein normaler grieche. Was leider sehr negativ war, war der Service. Das Restaurant war fast leer und dennoch mussten wir auf allessehr lange warten. Selbst einfache Getränke wie bier, wein, cola haben sehr lange gedauert. Noch vor den ersten Getränke wurde Ouzo angeboten welcher in riesen Gläser mit ca 5cl ankamen. Der Ouzo war wirklich ekelhaft warm. Die Kellner waren alle unfreundlich und schauten nur mies gelaunt. Kein danke, bitte, gerne doch...also klassischer Anstand wenn man mit Gästen spricht. Wir können das Meteora nicht empfehlen und werden auch nicht wieder kommen.

Immer wieder gerne, freundliche Bedienung, super Salatbuffet und leckeres Essen. 👍

Wir gehen hier bereits seit Jahren hin. Ambiente und Service sind perfekt. Im Sommer kann man auch sehr gut draußen sitzen. Das Essen, sowie die Salat Bar sind perfekt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Freundlich, schnell, extra salatbuffet, Preise je Hauptgericht ca 20€

So lala . Knoblauch Kartoffeln sind am Knoblauch mal vorbeigeflogen. Da gibt es Verbesserungspotential . Das Essen war geschmacklich nicht so doll .

Gutes Essen und reichliche Portionen. Was übrig bleibt, kann ohne Probleme verpackt und mitgenommen werden.

Wir waren heute im Lokal essen. Zum einen war es sehr stickig und heiß zum Anderen war der Service naja. Wir saßen in einem etwas uneinsehbaren Eck so dass der Service nur sporadisch vorbeikam. Außerdem scheint die „griechische“ Gastfreundschaft mit dem Abschiedsgetränk nur bei übermäßig hohen Trinkgeld zu funktionieren statt der üblichen 10%.

Netter Grieche am Rande von Magdeburg. Reichhaltiges Speiseangebot, ziemlich lecker wenn auch nicht überragend. Normale Preise. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt. Netter zuvorkommender Service. Ambiente innen typisch griechisch. Von außen jedoch eher Industriecharme. Parken auf dem Parkplatz des daneben liegenden Supermärkten problemlos möglich.

Ein gutes griechisches Restaurant, aber nichts herausragendes. Wir hatten die Platte für 2 Personen mit einer kleinen Vorspeise. Für den Preis fand ich es allerdings etwas wenig. Hätten wir einzelne Speisen bestellt, hätte man für das gleich Geld mehr bekommen. Wir haben am Freitagabend spontan noch einen Platz für 2 Personen bekommen. Die Kellner war nett und hilfsbereit.

Richtig, und es hat auch sonntags geöffnet.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal da aber auch das letzte . Das Ambiente ist so ganz schön ,aber die Tische stehen viel zu eng keinerlei Privatsphäre Tisch an Tisch. Das Essen hat geschmeckt kein Thema aber sehr lieblos angerichtet.ich weiß wovon ich spreche war selbst jahrelang in der Gastro..des servicepersonal war am Nachbar Tisch aber keine Zeit sich mal umzudrehen u zu fragen ob wir noch etwas möchten.

Personal sehr schlecht, Getränke nur zur hälfte Serviert erst nach nachfrage komplett serviert und mit sehr komischen unangebrachten Bemerkungen vom Personal.

Leckeres Essen zum guten Preis.

Wir sind immer wieder gerne in diesem Restaurant. Die Angestellten und die Besitzer sind immer sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Die Preise sind angemessen.

Man hat uns mal ganz nett.. unbeachtet.. 25min am Eingang stehen gelassen.. trotz Reservierung und Anruf.. ganz ganz unangenehm. So macht man es nicht. Mal abgesehen davon.. Preise sind hoch.. Portionen sind klein.. Alle gestresst.. war nichts Mittelmeer Freundlichkeit.. Einmal.. und sonst nichts mehr.. Danke

We were on a state visit to Grandma, traveling from Berlin to Magdeburg. This restaurant was our choice. Unfortunately, I can't say anything positive about it. The owners should perhaps go to Berlin to see how high the bar has been raised. The food and service at this restaurant were abysmal. As far as I know, it's a Greek restaurant. I say it has absolutely nothing to do with Greek food. There were five of us. Each of us ordered a dish that could have, or rather should have, been served with tzatziki. Nothing! There was an open display case with salads in the entrance area. In the entrance area??!!!! How unhygienic is that?! My dish had shrimp. I could have counted them, and it seemed like they were cooking with Maggi seasoning. We had to wait a full 45 minutes for our food! When it was FINALLY served, an older lady breathed a sigh of relief. Der kellner bekam es mit und gnurrte vor sich hin und meinte, ,,wir sind hier kein imbiss." Dann die Preise für die Speisen, utopisch! Total unterirdisch. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

The ambiance is excellent. Attentive service, but it would be nice to visit once or twice more. The food is authentic Greek food, with a bit more garlic here and there, etc., but tastes differ.

Delicious food at reasonable prices and great, attentive service. It couldn't be better. Thanks to the entire team at Meteora in Magdeburg.

We always enjoy eating there with the family.

The food is very tasty, but the only drawback (that's complaining at the highest level) is that there is no lunch during the week.

So far, it's always been a great experience. I ordered Hanem and unfortunately didn't check the order on-site. Unfortunately, part of the order was forgotten.

Good food at a fair price, with a terrace, good service. The food took a bit longer to arrive, but it was OK and the welcome from the kitchen shortened the time.

The meat was overcooked for me personally. The taste was okay. A Greek restaurant you can eat at, but they're more interested in quantity than quality.

Very friendly and fast service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere. The terrace was already full when we arrived, despite the beautiful weather, but the spacious, bright glass conservatory provided the perfect ambiance.

At first, we felt comfortable and well looked after. With our drink order, we received a free ouzo. The food was delicious, and we even received a small welcome from the kitchen beforehand. Due to the pleasant atmosphere, we stayed until about 10 p.m., and the four of us ordered desserts and cocktails after dinner. Over time, we noticed that all the guests around us also received an ouzo with their payment. When we finally wanted to pay, we had to first get our attention, as not a single person had come out to pay for us in the last 45 minutes. We then had to wait another 12 minutes before someone finally asked for our money. When we asked if we could have an ouzo to finish, the unfriendly waitress simply replied, "No, we don't do that." When we explained to her what we'd witnessed around us over the past few hours, she talked her way out of it, saying, "We're only doing this as a courtesy, not everyone can get it... and I'm out of ice either," and all that. We weren't the last guests, and the restaurant is officially open until 10:30 p.m. We've eaten there several times, but if we're apparently no longer pleasant enough to receive an ouzo as a courtesy, this will probably be our last visit. At other Greek restaurants, you'll sometimes get jugs of ouzo placed on your table upon arrival, which are then refilled. We were truly disappointed here. The hospitality of the female waitress really needs improvement!

We went there for lunch today; unfortunately, our regular Greek restaurant is undergoing renovations. We went on a recommendation. The service and everything else was very good, and the staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, there was no ouzo to greet or leave... I'm not used to that. The food, well, what can I say? The gyro simply tasted of nothing, and it was very dark and dry. The salad buffet is very nice because you can just help yourself to whatever you like; unfortunately, no tomatoes or cucumbers. We won't recommend this Greek restaurant and were very disappointed.

Five of us went there for lunch today. Waited 1.5 hours for the food... selection was good, staff friendly, atmosphere ok. Portions great, unfortunately some raw (liver), taste more bland than tasty. Definitely not again.

The Meteora Restaurant is simply great – perfect for families and groups! I was there with my children and we received such a warm welcome from Paul, his wife and the entire team that we immediately felt at home. The team is incredibly attentive and child-friendly, always with a smile and full of patience. Our children loved it, and we adults were also able to fully enjoy the fantastic food and relaxed atmosphere. The dishes are fresh, authentic and prepared with a lot of love - a real taste experience. Paul, his wife and their team make every visit something very special. Thank you for the great service, we will definitely be back! Absolute recommendation for anyone looking for great cuisine and warm hospitality!

We ate with 19 people. The food was plentiful and tasted good, but unfortunately it was only lukewarm. Maybe you should preheat the plates. The wait was long, but that was probably due to the size of the company, which I personally don't accept as an excuse. Were somehow very overwhelmed. What I really liked was the cleanliness. Even the toilets were very clean, which is not always a given everywhere, unfortunately. Conclusion: we will come back again to test the restaurant with a smaller group.

After a long day and the accommodation within sight, I wanted to round off my trip to Magdeburg with a delicious meal and chose the Meteora restaurant. Without a reservation, I asked for a table after the Christmas holidays and was lucky - there was a spot available for me. The welcome ouzo really hit me in the head after many hours without food because here they don't serve "short drinks" but narrow half-full long drink glasses. So I struggled a bit with my eating but over time it got better. The portion of food was - for me - just right without having to leave the store feeling hungry or full and there is a small self-service salad bar. A small, fine selection of sweet dishes/desserts round off the delicious food offerings on the menu. The service staff was very friendly and seemed very well organized (well attended that evening), the food was tasty and the selection of dishes was tasty and quite clear. Thank you very much for this lovely end to the day.

Our food didn't taste good. The meat was too dry and the fries were in the deep fryer for too long. The salad bar is a good idea, unfortunately it is unimaginative and very simple.

Basically it was a cozy evening. Unfortunately we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food (the restaurant was extremely full and there were very few staff). The “special” taste was missing.

Food and service have been top for years. Price-performance is great. Even though it's always full, the service and food are great. Please make sure to reserve in advance!

The quality of the food has deteriorated greatly. Our grilled pepperoni was lukewarm. The fries for our main course were soggy and cold. The only thing that was great was the nice service staff. We were here on a Saturday, very busy but the service was very attentive and friendly. Food was very tasty. The tomato soup could have been hotter. The salad buffet was very appealing and everything was fresh. We had made a reservation, which you should also do on the weekend. Otherwise, always happy.

The food is Greek, the service is modern German. You cannot order a Greek mocha 15 minutes before lunch because it takes too long... Food was OK but the mood was dampened.

Very good restaurant. Despite the fact that it was very well attended, everyone was warmly welcomed and shown to a seat. The food, including the starter, came just right, no long wait and it tasted really good.

The restaurant is very typically Greek. The staff is very hard working and very committed. The food is above average for us. The fact that you sometimes wait in front of the door to get in is a sign of its popularity. We always enjoy coming here.

Good service, no lunch menu but it was tasty. As I said, €20 for lunch isn't something you can do very often.

Very small menu. The meat was more well-done, so it was dry and didn't taste like a fillet. Changes to the supplement will be charged extra. Takeaway packaging also costs extra. No ouzo's!!!? Neither before eating nor after. And this is supposed to be a Greek restaurant? Was our last visit. This is definitely better.

The food was brought to the table quickly, there was even a Uso before the meal.....that was it. For the rest of the evening we were almost on our own, I think we were invisible after paying at the cash register We were then granted another Uso upon request. For me the first and last time.

Once and never again. I had ordered lamb fillet in cassis sauce with croquettes, I got something similar to goulash in a very thin sauce, the meat was bloody on the inside and the sauce was so thin that it couldn't stick to the meat. The croquettes were ok and served so nicely and carelessly on a plate that was way too big. Nope, I won't come here again. By the way, the food was returned and didn't have to be paid for, which was very fair.
