It was really delicious and very quick to prepare, and inexpensive. The restaurant does seem cozy, but I personally find the seating very cramped, which is why it only gives it 4 stars. Otherwise, it's really top-notch.

Everything was good: food with generous portions, friendly service, and a nice decor. Highly recommended.

Beautiful ambiance – service like something out of a textbook on "How to Scare Away Guests" 🙃🍷 Saved in the winter garden – top-notch! 🌿 The service? Rather invisible. No eye contact, no questions asked, no wine (but it's on the bill! 🧾), but cold ouzo in a freshly rinsed, lukewarm shot glass. The main course arrived while the appetizer was still being served – stressful fork-juggling included. 🍽️⏳ What the pink cream on the appetizer was? The waiter didn't know, so I asked to ask. No answer, I'm still waiting for it 🤷‍♀️ (I checked the menu online again at home). We had to beg for the dessert menu. Feeling: They don't want to make any money here, so you shouldn't expect that from your tips either 🫣 Food was okay, but service 👎 If you want to be served mediocre food by unprofessional waiters, welcome! And enjoy!

Unfortunately, only 3 stars. It's a shame that this time there was no welcome from the kitchen/dessert, nor was the obligatory ouzo offered. A paper bill rather than a digital total would have been nice. When we checked at home, because the total seemed high in retrospect, we realized we had paid almost €10 too much. This was our last visit to this restaurant.

As always, the food is very rich and good. The ambience is getting a bit old. The service was actually good, but there were also waitresses who didn't feel like they were having much fun that evening. That was a bit of a shame.

Service 10/10 very attentive and quick when clearing up. The fact that 15 main courses were on our table less than 10 minutes after ordering is due to the quality. The fried pepperoni as an appetizer.. 0/10. Some charred. They are pepperoni from the pickled ready-made bag (soaked with that typical vinegar pool) and are served in a bowl in a complete oil bath. And that's how the food goes. Obvious bag fries with the gyro. The tzatziki also tasted more like mass-produced food. The food isn't bad, but I wouldn't go to a restaurant for that. I can do the same thing at home. There is cooking here. But not fresh. Ambiance and service is great. But the chef or restaurant standards in terms of fresh cooking should urgently be reconsidered.

Have eaten in Athos for years. Delicious. Service super friendly, atmosphere great. Food came quite quickly. Definitely recommend. Reservation of a table is an advantage. Rarely have I eaten something so greasy in a Greek restaurant. Pork schnitzel didn't work at all, tough and dry. The gyro was swimming in fat. The fries tasted like fish, which is what happens when you cook calamari and fries in the same fat. What annoyed me the most were the drinks prices, whether without alcohol or with a completely exorbitant price, incomprehensible. That's also the reason why I won't visit this restaurant again.

Went there today for Christmas dinner with the family. We reserved a table at 12. We were then allowed to place our orders at around 12:30, but we had to wait until shortly before 2 p.m. for our food. Which wasn't even complete (orders were forgotten) I ordered a beef fillet with baked potatoes. The beef fillet and potatoes were cold when the food was brought to the table. Well then we started eating. And due to the fact that the restaurant is only open until 2 p.m. and we got our food way too late, we had to leave the room relatively quickly. Not everyone had eaten and we were already asked to pay. That was the first and last visit.

We ate here again yesterday. We had made a reservation. My friend ordered an Alster and initially only received a pure beer. We let it go back and an Alster was served. I ordered a large diesel with more coke than beer. A small one was brought to me, which I also let go back. (It wasn't busy yet) I got a large one with lots of beer and little cola. I then had to order a small cola to mix it up little by little so that it was bearable for me to drink. We each ordered a dish as a starter. At that time we went to get the salad from the saladette. During this time the starter was put on the table. We sat down again and 2 minutes later the main course suddenly arrived. We then had the salad, the starter and the main course in front of us. That was very inconvenient because we didn't have time to eat the salad and the starter in peace. We had the feeling that they wanted to get rid of us quickly so that we could reoccupy the table. (It wasn't full yet). They kept coming by and asking if everything was OK, but they were very attentive and friendly. After about 1.5 hours we asked for the bill and the friendly lady said she would take care of it. We wanted to pay by card and she said "of course that's no problem". 20 minutes later there was still no one there to collect. When the other waitress showed up again and asked if everything was OK, we told her that we had been waiting for the bill for a while. She said “oh okay, I’m here now”. We told her that we wanted to pay by card. She immediately said in an unfriendly tone that it wasn't possible because the device hadn't been working for half an hour. My girlfriend paid for her meal in cash. When the waitress got the device, I told my friend that this is the waitress who always pulls off this trick. (This has been the case several times, including with my other friend). She came back with the device, I put my card on it, Zack said process aborted, a second attempt resulted in exactly the same thing. She said she would put it on the ward again and I said that I would be happy to come with you to “try” it there. I went to the front 2 minutes later, put my card on it and I was able to pay by card without any problems. I suspect that she had turned off the device's internet so it wouldn't work. Unfortunately this thing has happened a good 3 times now and she says you can't pay with a card. I'm the kind of person who always tips, even when I pay by card, and I almost always have change in my pocket. This lady didn't get any from me, precisely because she always uses this method when it comes to paying. My girlfriend found this way impossible and we will visit other Greek restaurants in the future. It's a shame, because it actually always tastes really good there. You are made to feel like you are a bad guest if you want to pay by card. If this is not desired, you would have to point out that card payment is not possible.

Nice and attentive service staff... but a lot of deductions when it came to food... fries were cold and soggy, the gyros were dry and not crispy... the fish plate was subpar... unfortunately not recommended, that's okay nothing that tons of ouzo are served...

The food was very tasty, but I would have liked a little more on the plate. When it comes to Greeks, at least in my region, I'm used to getting a lot of meat. The service was nice and attentive, but not always responsive. Sometimes they were spoken to and simply moved on. However, it could also have been due to the fact that it was incredibly full when we were there on Saturday evening. We'll definitely come back :)

With our visitor from North Rhine-Westphalia we went out to eat in the Greek restaurant Athos in Vorsfelde at 6 p.m. this evening. The meal went without any problems and only when we wanted to pay the bill did the waiter explain to us that she would only accept cash payments because the credit card payment system had not been working for a month due to a disruption in the internet lines. There was no notice on the front door, on the bar or on the tables, and when we placed our order the waitress didn't even have the time to inform us of this problem. Only when paying the bill and considering our credit cards did she inform us that she could only accept cash. We were able to save ourselves from this unpleasant and embarrassing situation by raising the total amount together in cash The least that can be expected is information to customers to avoid such an unpleasant situation. A simple note that the hotel cannot accept credit cards for technical reasons would have been sufficient, especially since the explanations about the internet failure were not true...We will no longer choose this restaurant

Today I had dinner in Athos with four other people. Almost all of the food was cold. But I was the only one who complained and sent the food back to get a warm meal. One of and returned the entire meal. Because the lamb was so tough that you couldn't cut it. The gyro was fatty and the liver was kind of stringy. You just couldn't eat it. She ordered a portion of fries as a replacement. After three waitresses were at the table, their fries came “relatively quickly”. However, even the plain fries were cold and soggy. Another person had ordered another portion of fries as soon as we got our food. He got his fries when we were all finished and the table was already cleared. And what can I say? They were also cold and limp. We were offered a round of drinks on the house as compensation. Two of us ordered drinks. But they then had to pay for it afterwards. All I can say about the ambience is that it was extremely warm in the restaurant. You could say that at least something was warm... But all joking aside. I also found it very uncomfortable to sit. Because either the table is too low or the seating (whether bench or chairs) is too low. In any case, it wasn't comfortable. In addition, the table runner on our table was very old and dirty. I don't think old is bad. But I don't think dirty is that great. In any case, I will not visit this location again. Too bad.

I got the gyro plate with calamari Ordered or picked up The fries were completely unsalted and weak... But it could also be due to the pick-up time and they became weak afterwards... The gyros were salty and dry, the rice was well done and in the juicy tomato sauce... However, they were the cherry on the cake Calamari where the breading was so loose that it was practically non-existent and scattered everywhere in the box... Tasted bad too, tough and somehow "old".... Don't order anymore but maybe it's quite pleasant there...

The Athos in Vorsfelde always seems to be pretty busy, which is a good thing for a restaurant. When we spontaneously entered we were immediately informed that there would be a wait of around 45 minutes for food. Great info, no problem. Unfortunately it took some time for someone to take our order. Then things went quite quickly until dinner. However, the food was nothing special Sometimes quite greasy. The grilled meat was great. The vegan vegetable pan, however, was very greasy/oily and absolutely tasteless and unattractively prepared. The salad from the buffet, however, was. OK. However, it was already pretty much empty. For dessert we were given a whole pot of ouzo on the table. This jug made 12 pints for 4 people. A little exaggerated. The atmosphere, however, is very chic and cozy and the staff was friendly.

Ouzo en masse! Ouzo all in! Ouzo in carafes! The Greek food is solidly average. The price has become quite high in comparison. If the food isn't so good, you can have ouzo until it tastes good again.
