Everything was very tasty 😋 and the service was very friendly and accommodating.

Celebrated class reunions here. It was very busy, but the service was very prompt, and there was no longer a wait for drinks or food. The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is completely ok.

After a long time, I was in Bad Essen again. We chose the Athens restaurant in Bad Essen with a couple who were friends of ours. The quality of the food was very good and very tasty. You could put your own salad together at the salad bar, which was very well stocked.😋 The ambience is very decorative. The staff was very prompt and courteous, and the boss was in a really good mood. I can recommend the restaurant 100%!

Unfortunately it wasn't so nice this time. We were placed in the barren winter garden. The lamb dish was fine; the other dish fell short of expectations. The salmon was very dry and not seasoned (not even with salt); The potato portion was very manageable and they didn't taste like rosemary at all. We also waited much longer for the food than the neighboring tables.

Went back to Athens yesterday. We have been regular guests since 1990, when we were still based on Nikolaistrasse...The lamb fillet was great. Thank you for the lovely evening 👍

We received a warm welcome, even though we had 2 dogs with us. The starter and main course were very, very good. The waiters were friendly and always tried to help you. Best Greek food of very good quality that is worth the price. Everyone is extremely accommodating. We always enjoy coming to this restaurant and have celebrated several family celebrations in a very nice side room. In summer the garden is very inviting. Reservation strongly recommended

The Athens - Apostolus & Friends is an absolute must for all lovers of Greek cuisine in Bad Essen! The team around Apo and Mev warmly welcomes you every time and makes you feel like you are on holiday in Greece. The selection of dishes leaves nothing to be desired, from traditional Greek home cooking to upscale Mediterranean dishes - everyone gets their money's worth here. We strongly recommend reserving a table in advance, especially if you are coming with a larger group. Spontaneous visits are also possible, but you should be patient. We have been regular customers for years and are happy to travel from Rahden (Minden-Lübbecke district), 30 km away, to spend a lovely evening here. Here’s to many more wonderful celebrations and enjoyable hours in this great restaurant!

Best Greek I know. I've been going to apostles for 32 years now.

We booked a table at 6 p.m. The food came, the other three liked it (my lemon sauce had the consistency of vanilla sauce and didn't taste like lemon, the meat was very dry, I would have liked to have said it directly, but I wasn't asked). Everyone ordered two drinks. At 7:40 p.m. we were told that we should pay now, there were already guests waiting for our table. That was not nice! And not even remotely communicated beforehand. It's sad when you treat guests like that.

So we've been there a lot! It was always great. We have ordered many different dishes and have always been very satisfied. Very friendly service. Of course it can take a little longer to get the drinks, but usually you are not on the run but want to enjoy the evening!!!!! So understanding from the guests would also be necessary. All of our friends and family members who were there were ALL very satisfied and enthusiastic. A well-deserved star award!!!

I find the rating of this place to be higher than what it should be. The salad bar, which comes included with a lot of meals, didn‘t taste well nice and didn‘t seem as fresh as you‘d want it to be. I‘d rather have a kitchen made , but actually fresh salad, instead. The main dish wasn‘t much better either, with the meat being more on the (very) dry side. And it should have been more quantity or better quality, especially for the price. Nonetheless the atmosphere was okay and the staff also friendly.

Greek food has never been so delicious. The tentacles were grilled very well and seasoned perfectly. The salad buffet is varied and well stocked. The red wine is wonderful. Perfect service. I'll be back.

Very good service from start to finish, good recommendations for dishes that were on offer in addition to the menu. The dishes were very well portioned and of very high quality. All in all we really liked it, the price was right and we would be happy to come back.

The four of us had a Greek meal in Bad Essen for the first time and we were all disappointed afterwards. The atmosphere there is great, but unfortunately we weren't impressed with the taste at all. The meat (gyros) was very fatty and gristly and the Metaxa sauce just tasted like pepper and at the same time very creamy. Not according to the ingredients that are usually in it (mushrooms, peppers). The service was nice and attentive, but also seemed a bit overwhelmed. Unfortunately, price-performance simply doesn't fit.

Spontaneously got a table for two people during the week. Service was very nice, polite, courteous and gave persistent advice when asked. Food very plentiful and very tasty, beautifully presented on the plate, the eye eats with it. Salad from the buffet, fresh, delicious and varied. Location, typically Greek, with Greek music in the background, fits the entire ambience. All in all a very nice and cozy evening, worth repeating. Conclusion: highly recommended

We got something to take away and were very disappointed. The food tasted like nothing and was dripping greasy. The Metaxa sauce tasted sweet and like it was bad. We absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant

That's okay, but it's not okay to use more than half of the things from the salad bar on a starter platter that are already included in the main course. One assumes that only starters that can be found on the menu are put together.

The restaurant is very cozy, at least the right part with carpeted floors. Very nicely furnished and nice staff. The four of us decided on a grill plate, including a starter plate + 1 liter of wine. Unfortunately, not all types of meat were seasoned and there were only a handful of fries for 4 people. The tomato rice was really tasty. In addition to most of the main courses, you can use the delicious salad buffet once. 👍. I also treated myself to a chocolate cake (with a liquid center 👌) and vanilla ice cream. Conclusion: a very nice and delicious evening. The menu also includes many other dishes than just grilled dishes etc. - including vegetarian dishes!!

Evening for 2 in a stylish setting. Platter for two, definitely outstanding in terms of quantity and also taste 10/10. We were asked several times about our feelings and were satisfied. Excellent ouzo before, after and during your meal :) Restaurant is recommended, we look forward to seeing you again.

Wir waren am 2. Weihnachtstag im Athen. Das Essen war fantastisch, perfekt zubereitet und es wurde schnell serviert. Die Mitarbeiter waren allesamt super freundlich, trotz des komplett ausgebuchten Restaurants. Unser neuer „Lieblingsgrieche“! Wir wünschen euch einen guten Rutsch und im Januar eine super Erholung.

Sehr angenehmes Ambiente . Freundliche aufmerksame Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Große Auswahl an Vorspeisen. Anspruchsvolle Hauptgerichte. Köstliche Nachspeisen. Sehr gut gegessen rundum zufrieden. Parkplätze befinden sich an der Straße oder 5min Fußweg entfernt. Leider nicht für Rollstuhlfahrer zugänglich. Sehr schöne Weihnachtliche Dekoration.

Le plat principal était bon par contre plus d'1 hr pour être servi...alors que le restaurant n'était pas complet. Je ne reviendrai pas.

Ein sehr tolles Restaurant mit freundlicher und schneller Bedienung. Auch wenn das Lokal mit Gästen voll ist, haben alle den Überblick und korrekt. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert und hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Einen Uzo gibt es auch aufs Haus :-) Ein ganz wichtiger Tipp an alle: Bitte unbedingt vorher einen Tisch reservieren - ansonsten wird es schwierig - obwohl auch hier immer wieder versucht wird ein Plätzchen zu finden. Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Essen war solide, guter Durchschnitt. Personal sehr nett und es gibt einen Salat von Buffet. Es könnte mal wieder renoviert werden. Was uns gestört hat ist dass Hunde erlaubt sind und einer am Nachbartisch war. Die Frauchen haben leider nicht gut aufgepasst, er kam mehrmals zu uns uns schnupperte an uns und am Tisch. Das fanden wir sehr unangenehm und unappetitlich.

Ein sehr schicker Grieche, bei dem es sehr gutes Essen gibt und ein super nettes Personal hat.

Ein gut organisierter Service. Alles ist ruhig, entspannt und professionell bei unserem Besuch verlaufen. Das Restaurant war fast voll, die Mitarbeiter haben keinen Stress ausgestrahlt. Weiter so!!

Einfach mal ein großes Lob für alles. Ich war zum zweiten Mal hier und sicher nicht zum letzten Mal. Bei der tollen Auswahl an Garnelengerichten war ich mir nicht sicher, welches ich bestellen sollte. Der freundliche und zuvorkommende Kellner hat mir die Scampi von der "Lieblingskarte" empfohlen und was soll ich sagen: Es hat fantastisch geschmeckt. Die Soße war ein Traum und das Gericht hat toll harmonisiert. Der Kellner hatte sogar extra nochmal in der Küche Bescheid gesagt, was ich nicht mag. Habe schon lange nicht mehr so lecker gegessen. Zu guter letzt ist dann das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis auch noch top. Ein großes Dankeschön und bis zum nächsten Mal.

Das Restaurant ist etwas verwinkelt und bietet viel Platz. Die Bedienungen waren sehr nett und sehr schnell. Die Vorspeisenplatte war umfangreich, die Portionen groß, Preis-Leistung war auch Top. Wir kommen gerne wieder und lassen diesmal Platz für den Orangenkuchen!

Einfach sehr leckeres Essen, große Auswahl und wirklich freundliches Personal in einem sehr schönen Ambiente. Was soll ich sagen, ich komme gerne wieder und genieße die großen Portionen bei euch.

Kaputte Gläser, Tisch Reservierungen werden nicht zeitlich eingehalten. Wenn man Essen abholen möchte, sollte man immer mindestens noch ne halbe Stunde extra einplanen. Schade, dass Apo nach so vielen Jahren immer noch nicht weiß, wie lange die Küche braucht!

Wir waren zum Mittagessen da - überhaupt erster Besuch. Der reservierte Tisch angenehm und das Ambiente für ein griechisches Lokal recht geschmackvoll . Die Speisekarte ist mittags zu Recht übersichtlich - vor dem Essen gibt es eine leichte Suppe, zum Essen eine schöne Auswahl Salat vom Buffet. Beide Fischgerichte, die wir gewählt hatten, waren inklusive Beilagen hervorragend. Service aufmerksam . Wir freuen uns auf eine Wiederholung !

Ob mit Familie oder international oder deutschen Freunden, wir wurden immer unfreundlich, patzig, herablassend bis hektisch vom Inhaber behandelt, so dass ich mir jedes Mal schwor, das es nun wirklich letzte Mal gewesen ist. Ausnahme dann doch, weil internationale Gäste frei wählen sollten, aber von mir aus nie wieder. Meiner Mutter (ehem. Lehrerin) war mal ganz das Falsche serviert worden und der Inhaber wollte sie überreden, es doch zu essen, sie habe es doch so bestellt. Hysterisch, arrogant klackert Apo mit seinen Collegeschuhen von Tisch zu Tisch, Bussi-Bussi mit der Haute Voile, zu seinem Personal ist er geradezu widerlich. Das sieht man als Gast Fantasielose, 08/15 griechisches Essen und wenn ALDI Weinblätter im Angebot hat, seien die immer ganz schnell verschwunden, da der Inhaber sie kaufe, so ein ehemaliger Mitarbeiter des hiesigen italienischen Restaurants...

Nachdem ich mit der Firma dort gute Erfahrungen gemacht habe,sind wir mit der Familie dort essen gegangen! Leider war es sehr enttäuschend. Mein Steak war noch fast roh,obwohl ich Medium bestellt habe(kann passieren),nur leider konnte man es überhaupt nicht essen,es war voller sehnen! Dann war der Chef so unfreundlich zu uns,wahrscheinlich weil wir unsere Kinder mit hatten und er einfach mit seinem Leben überfordert ist! Was für mich das alles schlimmste war,das wir mit den Kinder direkt an der Theke saßen,wir waren 12 Leute und da hätte man auch einen anderen Tisch nehmen können,wenn man schon weiß das kinder dabei sind und die vielleicht nicht immer am Platz sitzen können! Ich kann noch mehr schreiben,weil es einfach ein sehr sehr enttäuschender Abend war!

The food has nothing to do with greek cuisine. Greek cuisine is fresh and vibrant. AEven though I orderes grilled seafood my dish came drowning in fat in a deep fried batter with a heavy sauce. Awful. Too expensive for just really bad food. Not greek at all.

The best greek restaurant in town! We always come to this restaurant whenever we are in bad essen. They have the best gyros. Please i highly recommend it. Theyre just delicious! Every meal comes with a salad buffet where they have the best selection of fresh vegies. They also have a very friendly owner who comes to your table to make sure everythings ok. Writing this review makes me wanna go there again haha! If you want to try greek then visit ATHEN and i assure you will come back there over and over just like me 😉
