The quality has completely declined. We've ordered from Mam several times before and were always satisfied, but now it's really not worth it. First, we received the wrong order (only one portion of rice instead of two portions of fries), and the usually full mixed platter felt like it was just leftovers from other people's plates. I can't recommend them anymore! What a shame!

It even beats most restaurants in Greece.

Simple, straightforward self-service. Small but very clear menu. The taste? Absolutely fantastic!!! A small appetizer, a main course, and a double alcoholic drink for €25, all in a cozy atmosphere. Every visit here is worthwhile. I'll definitely be back! 🇬🇷

Last night we visited Mam Greek. We ordered the Mam Special gyro with fries, pita, coleslaw, and tzatziki, and the pork gyro with coleslaw and tzatziki. Both dishes cost €15.90 each. When we received our food, we were disappointed: Despite the same price, we received the same amount of meat in both dishes, even though the Mam Special also included fries and pita. I spoke to the blond employee about it, but his reaction was very indifferent – ​​he simply said I "only ordered meat." The employee didn't respond to us at all. This kind of behavior doesn't demonstrate good customer service and leaves a very negative impression. To be honest, you feel a bit ripped off here.

Eating like you're on vacation. From the sauces to the entire meal, it's perfect throughout. And beware: Gyros Pitta is addictive, 10 out of 10. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I come here regularly and usually really enjoy eating here. I always pay with my Visa card. Suddenly, credit card payments were restricted to debit cards. I personally find that extremely unpleasant. When I asked why and since when, I unfortunately received an arrogant response. Very disappointing, unfortunately.

I love the store and just want to know if they've closed for good or are they back from vacation? They haven't been on wolt or uber for two months, and I'm crying inside.

Restaurant seems to be closed until September 29th, it's a shame that the information isn't posted anywhere.

Really great, and thank you for NOT updating the opening hours on Google when you're on vacation. I drove all the way across town with three people to get here, only to find out the doors were closed and then I found out you were on vacation! Extremely annoying.

The food is outstanding, but unfortunately it hasn't been possible to order online for a long time, even though they're supposedly open.

You're in Hamburg's trendy Schanzenstrasse district. Hunger strikes. There's plenty to choose from. But chance brought us here. Greek snack bar. The first thing that catches your eye is a chicken gyro. So we try it. Ordered a gyro plate, got a pager, and picked up the food. Wow, a big plate, plenty on it (yes, meat too), beautifully presented. The gyro is delicious and well-seasoned, but not over-seasoned as is often the case. The rice is good. The tomatoes are quite firm, but red onions are better for my taste. And then there's the bread. We haven't seen anything like it before. Homemade tzatziki, and you can taste it. The coleslaw is bought in, but it doesn't detract from the experience. The ambiance is cozy and adapts to the situation as best as possible. Conclusion Delicious, plentiful food, well above the usual snack bar. Friendly service, good price. Not a restaurant, but almost as good Our number 1 when we're in Hamburg Mitte.

We ordered from there, so I can't really comment on the local conditions. I have to say, in terms of taste, this is one of the best Greek restaurants we've ever eaten at. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. It wasn't quite hot during delivery, but it was okay. Overall, I think the prices are reasonable. I think we'll order from there again.

Mam Eat Greek is a Greek street food stand on Schulterblatt in the Schanzenviertel. They serve classics like chicken or pork gyros, as well as souvlaki in pita bread, wrapped with fries – all delicious and rustically presented. The ambiance is stylish, with a distinctly Greek flair that fits the concept well. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The dishes have that typical hearty grilled flavor you'd expect from good Greek street food – uncomplicated, aromatic, and filling. Perfect for a quick, delicious break in the neighborhood. We come regularly.

Very tasty, authentic Giros Pita! The staff is always friendly, and the food is consistently good. You'll be full! A must-visit in the Schanze district. Note: Unless you specifically ask, Giros Pita comes with mustard and ketchup in addition to the tzatziki. I don't like it, but if you opt out, you'll still get a super tasty pita. You can also have the delicious food delivered to your home via the usual delivery portals.

I was at Mam eat Greek a few days ago and was absolutely thrilled! I had pita bread with chicken – super fresh, perfectly seasoned, and simply delicious. You can tell the quality and love go into the cooking here. The prices are also very fair, especially for the portion and the taste you get. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful – I immediately felt at home. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy, ideal for a relaxed lunch or a quick bite in between meals.

As a Greek colleague, I can say that the quality of the store deserves an excellent 10. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Love, Love, Love. Me being of greek heritage just feels it in my bones when i eat there...and i wasn't even born or rased in Greece. But every time i eat there i feel a connection to my ancestors! So yum! Everything that comes from the grill is especially delicious as it has that authentic flavour! Only downside is outside you sit right on the pavement by the road. Wish they had a proper bigger restaurant, i would defo go all the time.

I had a Greek pita for 8 euros. The meat and bread were okay, but there was too little cabbage and too few spices for my taste. Unfortunately, it tasted a bit too bland.

Food and price/performance is excellent. I would only like to see some improvements in terms of hygiene: you should not use cloths moistened with water to clean surfaces. These are heavily microbially contaminated. You should also not touch the food directly after using the cloth. Better glass cleaner or other cleaning products.

Overall good experience for a rustic, very casual dinner. Staff was friendly and portions are generous. One gripe I have are too much carbs (fries AND pitas) cover the plate and protein portion is rather small.

Authentic Greek food, like in my hometown, Athens. Super tasty and prepared with love. I hope you open a branch in Berlin! I would definitely be a regular customer there!

Gyros have hardly any taste and are relatively dry. The bread is way too soft and not rolled up very intelligently so it will eat a huge mess. Tzaziki cold and hardly any taste. And to top it all off, there are fries in the pita. Seriously???? Fries??? They have absolutely no place in a pita. And calling yourself “eat Greek” is so wrong in this context.

The food is now only delivered cold, which is a shame. It's dry meat and mushy fries that aren't cooked properly. It used to be better, but in my opinion, it's deteriorated considerably. The portion size is okay for the price.

One of the few restaurants in Hamburg that serves truly authentic Gyros Pita, as we know it from Greece. The other dishes, such as grill plates, are also of high quality at fair prices. Bravo sou, mom!

My first Greek kebab. A revelation, so to speak. I happened to pass by outside opening hours and saw the quality raw meat on the skewer. Pork and chicken. Coming back was very worth it! It was so delicious and juicy that I ordered a second one and took it home with me. Gladly again at any time!

The food was very tasty, but the service was a bit rushed and abrupt. Maybe it was because it was a bit crowded...

My absolute favorite shop! We always take the pita halloumi with mayonaise instead of tzatziki. This is awesome. Whenever we are in St. Pauli we go to MAM. Seats are comfortable, service is friendly and the food is very good. We don't know of a better pita halloumi ❤️

I found the food pretty expensive. €13 for a souvlaki plate and €7.5 for a veggie pita is a bit too much. And I don't find the portions huge. I would rank the place more towards "restaurant" than towards "imbiss". Having said that, the food is good (although not the best I tasted in my life), the menu has many nice options, the place is very clean, the staff is very friendly and they seem pretty well organized.

It tastes good but I find the meat a bit less compare to others I have had and for the price they're asking it is relatively small serving. I already had better ones.

Gyros plate is now a complete joke. Endless bread, the little bit of meat spread in between with the tzatziki. Probably an Anatolian recipe. New owners are a disaster.

A Greek self-service restaurant on the shoulder blade. Orders arrive directly at the counter. You can sit directly at the window facing the street or you can look for a quieter spot at the back. The pita is tasty, but at €8.20 it is also quite expensive (in my opinion). Otherwise good Greek food.

I had lamb chops with a farmer's salad and drink for 35 euros. For that money you get generous portions of juicy, deliciously prepared chops. I was pleasantly surprised!

Incredibly nice service and great food

Absolutely stable shed. After having delicious beers at 10 a.m. and some people losing their steadfastness after 4 p.m., we had to fortify ourselves. But no one expected it to be so delicious. Mega stable prices, outstanding portions and extremely tasty. I haven't eaten such juicy gyros in a long time. To cool down, a yeast, a little Becks or a Despe for the really crazy ones. Absolute recommendation.

Absoluut een aanrader voor een lekkere snelle hap. Het restaurant is wel zelf service, maar dit is prima. Na je bestelling pak je zelf je drinken uit de koelkast en krijg je een kastje mee. Zodra je eten klaar is gaat het kastje piepen en kan je het eten ophalen. Wij hebben heerlijke gyros gegeten.

We travelled with my husband from Mannheim to Hamburg. It's a long time that we had some good souvlaki because in Mannheim it's a disappointment. We found this place by coincidence and we decided to give it a go. Me as Greek, I can tell you that this was on of the best souvlaki I ever had outside of Greece. The quality was superb, the portions huge (we strangled to finish it) and the prices very reasonable. The owners and the staff was so friendly, they made me feel like I was at home. Highly recommended and on our next trip to Hamburg for sure we will visit it again. Bravo guys, that is an excellent representation of a Greek souvlaki. Keep up the amazing job 🥰

It's a very clean and fast self-service "street food" place. Portion is huge, side veggies are fresh, crispy fries and great meat. Sometimes the lamb is dry.. but out of 6-7 times, mostly great for its price.

I've been coming and eating here regularly for 6 years. For 6 years it hasn't even tasted bad. Pita with pork is simply unsurpassed. Better than any dürüm, kebap, shawarma or similar.

Omg halloumi souvlaki! I have no idea how, but they somehow packed everything I love about souvlaki into this cheese. In the pita with the perfect mix of creamy tzatziki, salad, fresh onions and a generous amount of fries. I didn't think I would get this taste again after I stopped eating meat. Transported me to Thessaloniki in my head, thank you for this moment. <3

I bought Gyrospita and to take it with me, unfortunately the meat wasn't crispy and because there was so much sauce in it, the fries were soggy I've eaten it better somewhere else But the service staff was nice and the snack bar/restaurant also looks very cozy!
