The two of us spent a wonderful evening at Irori. The menu offered was excellently coordinated. Kerstin's wine recommendations matched this, and they harmonized wonderfully with the individual courses. Together with attentive service, a wonderful journey into Japanese gourmet cuisine with a Palatinate cross-over.

They offer four, five and six course menus. We chose the four, which also included a lovely apero course. We selected the wine pairing-a good idea-Beautifully curated selections of regional vineyards plus the most delicious Champagne; Perfect service as well. In warmer weather, their courtyard terrace would be a great spot to sit but their dining room is pleasantly simple and cozy, perfect for a cold November evening in Koplenz.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending an unforgettable evening in this restaurant that made us all feel like we were in paradise. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt the special atmosphere that this house exudes. The food was simply heavenly. Every bite was a feast of flavors, perfectly balanced and prepared with great attention to detail. The chef's creativity was impressive and you could practically taste the passion that went into each dish. Be it a starter, main course or dessert – everything was of the highest quality and left nothing to be desired. The lovingly prepared greetings from the kitchen were all incredibly delicious. The service was also first class. The team was attentive, friendly and always tried to make our evening a special experience. You really felt like a valued guest, which made the evening even more enjoyable. Overall, we can highly recommend this restaurant. It deserves a star without a doubt and we will definitely come back. A truly wonderful evening that we won't soon forget! Thank you

Amazing staff and the most delicious food. The staff were so kind, we were going to miss breakfast so they packed us a lunch with snacks and fruit so we would not be hungry. They also sent us off with water and sourdough bread when we checked out. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. They offer allergy friendly rooms (no feathers) and many pillow options. The staff at the sister hotel and restaurant are also very helpful. The bar was a cosy place to relax at the end of the day with a beer or cocktail. The bar snacks were also very good. Highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay here again!

Wir waren zu zweit Ende November zu Besuch und haben das Große Menü "Prestige" bestellt. Zunächst gab es keine verschiedenen Snacks als Amuse sondern, als solches diente der Garnelencroustillant. Dieser hat Neugier auf mehr Kreationen von Phillip Stein erweckt. Als nächstes bekamen wir Brot was uns ziemlich enttäuscht hat. Andere Tische hingegen haben dieses für Zuhause mitgenommen oder reichlich nachbestellt. Uns fehlte definitiv Salz und auch etwas mehr Ruhezeit hätten dem Brot gut getan, da der untere Teil des Brotes sehr kompakt und klitschick war. An den folgenden Vorspeisen hatten wir nichts auszusetzen und wir haben die Speisen sehr genossen. Zwischen den Gängen hatten wir teilweise, ungefragt, Pausen von 30 Minuten die für uns unpassend lang erschienen. Dazu muss man sagen das Restaurant war voll aber 6 Personen im Service hätten wir mehr erwartet. Der Zwischengang, die Variation vom Winterkohl, war unser persöhnlicher Favorit. Ein wirklich super abstimmter Gang der trotzdem sehr facettenreich war. Unser Hauptgang, der Hirschkalbsrücken war perfekt gegart und auch das Ragout vom Hirsch mit Kartoffelschaum war hervorragend. Für uns war die Jus um den Rücken etwas zu Pfeffer lastig, was manchmal alles übertönt hat. Trotzdem ein super Hauptgang hinter dem ein perfektes Handwerk steckt. Das erste Dessert, der geschmolzene Mont d'Or war sehr originell, einfallsreich und hat zusammen mit der Pekanuss ein unglaubliches und einzigartiges Geschmacksbild erzeugt. Das zweite Dessert ist dagegen etwas abgefallen war aber trotzdem ein super Gang. Bei den Petit Fours war für uns etwas zu viel "Weihnachtsgeschmack" enthalten, gerade vor dem Hintergrund das wir eben erst einen weihnachtlichen Vollmilch Gâteau hatten. Während unseres gesamten Abends war es im Restaurant sehr laut was bei den Ansagen der Gänge leider sehr gestört hat. Der Service war den ganzen Abend über sehr freundlich, wirkte sehr kompetent und hat sich viel Zeit für die Gäste genommen.

Had an unbeatably sensational 8 course menu. The restaurant really deserves its 2 stars. As a wine accompaniment we chose a Pinot Gris 1st location from the Palatinate winemaker Jülg. The food and wine were absolutely terrific. The food is actually a firework display on the palate and incredibly creative. The service is at the highest level and the ambience is very modern with a pleasant distance from the neighboring tables. Anyone who lives within a radius of 50 km can enjoy the specially set up free shuttle service. All in all, a true culinary experience that is certainly not exactly cheap. But let's be honest... in a 2 star restaurant, of which there are only 50 in Germany, you expect a higher price. Definitely a top restaurant for gourmets.

Very nicely renovated, unfortunately the kitchen performance no longer matches the price: the convenience fried potatoes were swimming in fat, you could smell the scallops before they were served... Even though we didn't eat in the star restaurant, the quality was not acceptable.

The Sandhof is the best restaurant in Rheinhessen. Sorry for the other fine dining restaurants, but there is still a noticeable difference. And since Dirk Maus changed the concept, he has taken things a step further. There would definitely be another star for that if he wanted that.

Ein grandioser Mittagstisch mit guten Freunden. Sehr aufmerksames Personal, aber nie zu auf dringlich. Der Sommelier war grandios. Die Weinbegleiting zum Menü ganz klar 3 Sterne 🤩. Top präsentiert mit sehr toller Erläuterung. Absolut passend zu unserem 6 Gang Menü. Das Menü war in sich so stimmig und war von Anfang bis zum Schluss 😍 wir sind uns unisono einig, spitzen Menü mit tollen Weinen in einem sehr, sehr schönen Ambiente. Wer es nicht kennt sollte unbedingt dies Mal erleben.

Great and worth every penny. Extremely tasty, a taste explosion, wonderful compositions in which the ingredients melt together and yet all remain recognizable. In my opinion, one Michelin star is far too little....! Allergies are taken into consideration. Friendly, very competent and pleasant service. There is a vegetarian and a non-vegetarian menu from which individual dishes can be selected or a reduced number can be chosen. Keep it up! Thanks

Keinen Besuch wert! Nachdem ich über einen Monat vorher reserviert hatte und dem Restaurant mitgeteilt hatte dass ich keinen Fisch essen darf, gab es trotz Bezahlung des vollen Preises keine Alternative. Zudem führte es dazu dass kein anderer am Tisch Fisch essen durfte, nur weil ich eine Unverträglichkeit habe. Denk jeder am Tisch muss das selbe essen weil die Küche das nicht hinbekommen würde mehrere verschiedene Gerichte zeitgleich zu servieren. Die Köchin hat sich nicht einmal entschuldigt sondern lediglich gesagt das wäre bei ihnen so. Zudem war das Essen kalt, es wurde aus der Küche getragen und erst einmal auf den Tresen gelegt worden bis die einzige Bedienung in dem. Restaurant an den anderen Tischen fertig war. Und das alles für 400€! Für mich war das leider rausgeschmissenes Geld ..
