Enjoyed a wonderful Japanese-oriented menu, beautifully presented, very pleasant atmosphere, (with the large wine selection it makes sense to book the very tasteful mini suite). Great and attentive hosts. Definitely recommended if you want to experience a culinary journey.

First-class and extremely courteous service, always humane. And the 5 courses that we were able to enjoy were one after the other of unique class!

Was ein Abend hätte das im L. A. Jordan werden können… Sehr schönes Ambiente, 2 Sterne, Vorschusslorbeeren noch und nöcher, wir waren sehr gespannt. Aber - machen wir es kurz - nichts hielt, was es versprach. Das Essen war sehr gut, manches besser, anderes schwächer und hauptsächlich wegen Luxusprodukten à la Kaviar oder Trüffel schmackhaft. Was das Ganze aber maximal abgewertet hat, war der Service. Das Essen wurde serviert und wie selbstverständlich unterbrach man unser Gespräch, um die Speisen zu präsentieren. Ohne abzuwarten. Ohne ein „Pardon“ oder ähnliches. Jedes Mal. Die Präsentation selbst war mehr eine Inszenierung, als eine Erläuterung. Man merkte dem Team förmlich an, welch Ehre es zu sein scheint, im L. A. Jordan zu speisen. Und wenn man das Team beobachtet hat, fiel einem durchaus die hierarchische Fallhöhe und der teils unangenehme, fast autoritäre Umgang untereinander auf. Insgesamt ein sehr fraglicher Auftritt und inadäquater Umgang mit Gästen. Mag sein, dass dies nur Wenigen auf- und missfällt, aber Arroganz und Selbstgefälligkeit steht nicht auf meinem persönlichen Menü. Zwei Wochen später bewies ein ebenfalls zweifach besterntes Restaurant nur 30 Minuten von Deidesheim, dass Exzellenz ganz leger und trotzdem mehr als stilvoll möglich ist.

We were there on Christmas Day. The menu was completely great, simply perfect in terms of cuisine. The service was also great, friendly, calm and attentive.

If you want to go on an extravagant, Japanese-inspired culinary journey and for whom money is of no importance, this is the right place for you. The beginning of the culinary journey is atypical. This starts in a kind of “anteroom”. Here you can enjoy a good glass of gin and tonic or something similar. the first 4 amuse-gueules are served. This is followed by a short stop in the warehouse before continuing to the actual restaurant. What follows next is difficult to describe. Numerous courses are served at a high pace, always with a precise explanation of what is on your plate (it is not self-explanatory) and the matching wines, provided you take the optional drinks trip for €110 per person. added. Although the pace at which the courses are served is good, the evening easily lasts 3-4 hours. You can expect a lot for your money in terms of taste and appearance and you won't be disappointed. For us, we were too far, it was a fantastic culinary highlight and if our budget allows it, we would like to come back. Hats off to Ben and his team.

Thank you very much for the confident and super friendly service and the really excellent, highly creative... and most importantly: really delicious cuisine! 🙏 You can see and taste that they cook with incredible effort, the best ingredients and a lot of passion to achieve at least one Michelin Guide star. Keinen Besuch wert! Nachdem ich über einen Monat vorher reserviert hatte und dem Restaurant mitgeteilt hatte dass ich keinen Fisch essen darf, gab es trotz Bezahlung des vollen Preises keine Alternative. Zudem führte es dazu dass kein anderer am Tisch Fisch essen durfte, nur weil ich eine Unverträglichkeit habe. Denk jeder am Tisch muss das selbe essen weil die Küche das nicht hinbekommen würde mehrere verschiedene Gerichte zeitgleich zu servieren. Die Köchin hat sich nicht einmal entschuldigt sondern lediglich gesagt das wäre bei ihnen so. Zudem war das Essen kalt, es wurde aus der Küche getragen und erst einmal auf den Tresen gelegt worden bis die einzige Bedienung in dem. Restaurant an den anderen Tischen fertig war. Und das alles für 400€! Für mich war das leider rausgeschmissenes Geld ..
