L.A. Jordan in Deidesheim

We've been to LA Jordan several times before. Unfortunately, this time there were a few things that didn't live up to our usual standards. There were three of us, and the bill came to €1350.00, plus tip, bringing the total to €1500.00. I have to say, we expect the usual service with a multi-course tasting menu (at €295 per person) that should elicit a "wow" from us. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case for us this time. I did say "wow" to two courses (Kinki from the Azores and the venison), but all the others tasted very fishy and were okay, but not "wow." The wine pairing, especially the 2017 red wine from Knipser, was absolutely world-class. However, one of our guests can't eat scallops, and we had informed them the day before that they wouldn't be serving them, so we naturally expected an alternative. Unfortunately, this was immediately denied when we inquired, with the information that there was "no alternative," which surprised us for such a two-Michelin-starred restaurant. Friend #1 and I then ate delicious scallops, while friend #2 sat beside us and watched. When we asked if, since there was no alternative, they could perhaps bring us a scallop, we were told that "it would take too long." I don't know how long a scallop needs to sear in a hot pan before it's ready to serve, but I believe they could have managed it in a timely manner. I don't understand why they were unable to plan any alternative within a day. The highlight for us, however, was quite bizarre: the sweet rolls (Buchtel) apparently didn't rise properly in the oven. This happened to all three portions, and then, according to the sommelier, the only oven was apparently broken. While we were still enjoying a good wine in the restaurant, the kitchen lights went out. We were the first to arrive at the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. and were the only one of three tables that had to forgo the final course. We were then given a complimentary shot of schnapps and a reduction in our bill (two €15 orders and one €20 order) because one person didn't want a shot. Of course, we would have preferred to eat all the courses as planned. We found this very disappointing, which is reflected in the rating. We visit Deidesheim every two or three months, but unfortunately, this time we were far from impressed and were quite irritated. It's a shame. Four stars overall would probably still be acceptable, but compared to the price and the issues mentioned above, it doesn't feel right. And while it's understandable that the dough wouldn't rise for three Buchteln (sweet rolls), for the oven to break down on top of that is bizarre. And while it's understandable that the dough wouldn't rise for three Buchteln, it's quite absurd that the oven would then break down. We find this very disappointing. Four stars overall would probably still be appropriate, but compared to the price and the issues mentioned above, it doesn't feel quite right. ``` We also had someone with us whom we raved about; the sommelier gave fascinating insights into the wines, but unfortunately, he mostly just mentioned the label, name, origin, and vintage. Only after we asked did he talk about the region, the colder temperatures of 2017, the quality, and a little bit about Volker Knipser. A shame.

Actually, 5 stars are definitely not enough. We were here for a family celebration and were extremely impressed by the perfect, yet unobtrusive service and the fantastic 8-course menu. We felt incredibly comfortable and would like to thank the entire team from the bottom of our hearts. We will definitely return again as a couple for a similar occasion.

The food was excellent. The service, the ambiance, the delicious food, and the excellent food and wine pairings were exceptionally good. The staff were incredibly attentive and really went the extra mile, ensuring we had a wonderfully relaxing evening and could fully focus on one thing: enjoyment! Not cheap, but worth every euro. As part of an arrangement, we booked the full menu at L.A. Jordan. Reception: One often has concerns that Michelin-starred restaurants are stuffy. This wasn't the case here. The entire staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful. There was also pleasant small talk. The dishes were announced precisely and quickly, so nothing went cold. If we had questions because we weren't familiar with something, they answered in a friendly and competent manner. Many thanks to the entire service team. Ambience: A very great location. Modern, but not too cold. We really liked the mix of the old walls and modern elements. From our table, we had a view into the kitchen. The chairs were very comfortable, and the cutlery and glasses were of very high quality. Wine: A big compliment to the sommelier here. The advice was very competent. We were also able to discuss budgets openly. Even though we're in Michelin-starred restaurants, not everyone wants or can drink a wine costing €100 or more. We expressed a wish, and it was fulfilled competently. We were very satisfied with that and felt very well looked after. The wine list was also enormous. Water: I have to say this here too. Yes, we realize that money is made from drinks. But a bottle of water costs €10.50. At the price level of food/drinks, still water (or tap water is fine) should be served free of charge. If someone wants sparkling water, they have to pay for it. That's not unusual at this level. Note: Two small things: We didn't want an aperitif, but wanted to start with wine. We said so. It took a long time for the wine to arrive. In that time, we already had two greetings from the kitchen. We would have liked to have toasted with wine. The second thing – it took a very long time for the glazed Buchteln to arrive. They should have finished sooner. But – these are just comments. This in no way affects the rating. Food: Most importantly. What can I say? This was a firework display that was second to none. We knew it would be seafood-heavy. The highlights: The oyster - I don't normally eat that, but this was amazing. Langoustine from Norway with tarragon. I have never eaten anything so delicious. How did they manage to tease out the flavor like that? It blew me away. The pigeon was served with a sauce that was second to none. I spooned the sauce straight out of the pots provided and I wasn't embarrassed. This sauce deserves to be spooned out. I bow to the chef for that. Those were feelings of pure happiness! The sea urchin and the zander were very special. Not that we didn't enjoy them, but they were flavors that we had never tasted like that before. Perhaps our palates were simply a little overwhelmed at that moment. The homemade warm bread with butter, oil, and salt—the smell when you broke it—made my synapses go wild. The desserts were all perfect, too. The Buchteln (a German bun with sauce). That was another WOW at the end. They say that small portions in Michelin-star restaurants don't fill you up. Quite the opposite. But we went home so full. Even I—as a really big eater—couldn't eat any more. Dear L.A. Jordan—This was the second time we've eaten a 2-star meal. Thank you so much. We felt like we were taken on a culinary journey. There were so many WOW moments that evening. We will remember this special meal for a long time. The whole evening was a unique experience. We would like to thank you for making this evening truly special.

This was our third time at L.A. Jordan, and we'd always been satisfied before, but this will be our last. The last two times we'd always brought a dog with us, which wasn't a problem because we were lucky with the weather and it was outside. This time, we weren't allowed into the restaurant with our dog (who unfortunately couldn't be left alone yet because we'd only had him for eight weeks). The sudden ban on dogs had already started off negatively; we found the inside area much stiffer and more uncomfortable than the outside area, and we didn't get any drinks for the last half hour. The food was good, but in my opinion, not worth the price. With four people, we had a bill of approximately €2,000. The crowning glory of the evening came with the bill. We received a €200 voucher as a wedding gift, which was 10% of the bill. This was not redeemed because it had expired six months ago. With a better atmosphere, we would have certainly enjoyed the food more, I don't doubt that, but in a two-star restaurant, I expect a much better attitude in such a situation, both with regard to our dog and the voucher.

An outstanding experience. The food was perfect, the service was excellent and unobtrusive. An evening here is well worth the money.

A dinner at LA Jordan is an experience like no other. The finest ingredients from around the world, expertly prepared to perfection, and tastefully presented on the plates. The service impresses with its utmost competence and, at the same time, its openness, so that you can't help but feel at home. The restaurant could be just as successful in New York, London, or Copenhagen—we're so happy it's here. For me, it's worth a trip.

After making the reservation, I received a call a few days before the meal to ask if there were any food intolerances, allergies, or anything similar; I thought that was very thoughtful. The food was fantastic, as was the price per person, but well, you can know that in advance if you want. There was no choice of menu, only the seven-course set menu. I think that's a good thing, as it allows the kitchen to focus on the menu. And it was outstanding, with superb ingredients. Despite the high expectations that came with the price, we weren't disappointed and were very satisfied with everything. I also really enjoyed the ambiance and the service. The rooms, the view of the (winery) courtyard, the quality of the materials—everything was very pleasant.

The L.A. Jordan in beautiful Deidesheim is one of Germany's top addresses for all those who love first-class cuisine. It also has a wine cellar where you can enjoy mature wines from the three affiliated vineyards. The excellent service also offers a wine pairing, featuring one or two treasures from the cellar.

Ein Jahr nach unserem letzten Besuch im L.A. Jordan wählten wir wieder das viergängige „Überraschungsmenü“. Der Preis zum Vorjahr war gleich geblieben, dafür fiel ein Amuse weg und die Gänge erschienen uns diesmal miniaturisiert, was die eigentliche Überraschung für uns war. Die Rotbarbe war winzigst und das Perlhuhn war ebenso sparsam portioniert. Etwas „Sättigung“ fehlte mangels Beilagen; diese Aufgabe hatte das Brot zu übernehmen. Die zweite Portion schlägt mit 12,50 € zu Buche. Etwas überraschend war, dass der Wan Tan Sud und die Soßen nicht entfettet kamen, sondern sich mit entsprechenden Augen präsentierten. Geschmacklich war’s gut; der Meerbarbe und dem Dessert geben wir unsere persönlichen 2 Sterne, ansonsten eher einen. Eine Buchtel zum Abschluss braucht unsereins jedoch nicht zum wiederholten Male. Der von Buhl‘sche Reserve Wein war wiederum Spitze, zumal er im Laden längst vergriffen ist. Der angenehme Service agierte tadellos und das besondere Ambiente des Restaurants gefällt uns sehr… wenn da nur nicht diese Kleinlichkeit bei den Portionen wäre.

In February, we spent the weekend at the Hotel Ketschauer Hof with friends. We had a reservation at LA Jordan on Saturday evening and were looking forward to a lovely evening. And it was truly lovely! The entire menu was outstanding! The service was perfect at all times, always in the background, but always there when you needed it. Extremely friendly, too. But the kitchen served truly fantastic courses. Intense flavor experiences, always perfectly balanced, never overdone. It was a truly lovely evening, thank you so much! We will definitely be back!

After a long time we were finally guests again at the excellent LA Jordan. The reception is very friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. We opted for the large menu with wine accompaniment. All 7 courses were excellent in taste, superbly presented and of first-class quality. Mr. Schimkowitsch's culinary art has once again developed and improved significantly. It was all really wonderful. The corresponding wine complemented the individual dishes perfectly. We also recommend taking a look at the fantastic wine list. The service is always very attentive, super friendly, always polite and courteous. Thanks to them we had a wonderful time at LA Jordan again. We will be very happy to come back. Absolutely recommended.

We had a perfect dinner at L.A.Jordan and highly recommend to splurge here! We are foodies, and the variety of flavors and tastes surprised even us. On a Friday evening the restaurant was nearly fully booked, yet service was very well timed, with just the right time between dishes. Absolutely friendly and professional service with deep knowledge of the menu and the wines from the region - we picked two nice wines from around the village that were not Riesling. Definitely a destination to explore, together with the hotel, the sister hotel and the sister restaurant where we also had a fantastic evening before. Bars off to the Chef and the team!!

Was ein Abend hätte das im L. A. Jordan werden können… Sehr schönes Ambiente, 2 Sterne, Vorschusslorbeeren noch und nöcher, wir waren sehr gespannt. Aber - machen wir es kurz - nichts hielt, was es versprach. Das Essen war sehr gut, manches besser, anderes schwächer und hauptsächlich wegen Luxusprodukten à la Kaviar oder Trüffel schmackhaft. Was das Ganze aber maximal abgewertet hat, war der Service. Das Essen wurde serviert und wie selbstverständlich unterbrach man unser Gespräch, um die Speisen zu präsentieren. Ohne abzuwarten. Ohne ein „Pardon“ oder ähnliches. Jedes Mal. Die Präsentation selbst war mehr eine Inszenierung, als eine Erläuterung. Man merkte dem Team förmlich an, welch Ehre es zu sein scheint, im L. A. Jordan zu speisen. Und wenn man das Team beobachtet hat, fiel einem durchaus die hierarchische Fallhöhe und der teils unangenehme, fast autoritäre Umgang untereinander auf. Insgesamt ein sehr fraglicher Auftritt und inadäquater Umgang mit Gästen. Mag sein, dass dies nur Wenigen auf- und missfällt, aber Arroganz und Selbstgefälligkeit steht nicht auf meinem persönlichen Menü. Zwei Wochen später bewies ein ebenfalls zweifach besterntes Restaurant nur 30 Minuten von Deidesheim, dass Exzellenz ganz leger und trotzdem mehr als stilvoll möglich ist.

In vielen Fällen der Sterngastronomie erlebt man im Hauptgang ein Leistungstief. In diesem sehr stilsicheren Haus erlebt man absolute Konsequenz. Von Anfang bis zum Ende. Im Nachhinein betrachtet, wird schon beim Betreten des Restaurants klar, dass einen ein absolut reduziertes und in seiner Gradlienigkeit kompromißloses Menu erwartet. Vom Amuse Geule bis zum letzten Dessert ein Geschmackserlebnis. Ohne qualitative Schwankungen. Qua verwendeter Rohstoffe erlebt man ein faires Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Die Gänge kommen ohne Tröpfchen von versch., schweren Soßen und irgendwelchen effekthaschenden Schäumchen aus. Das Aromenspiel wird in beeindruckender Art und Weise durch ein sich vernehmbar durchziehendes Konzept erwirkt. Man stellt hier den Willen und die Fähigket zum dritten Stern *** fest. Die Weinkarte ist regional ausgelegt und damit sehr riesling- und spätburgunderlastig. Man bekommt von dem freundlichen und korrekt arbeitenden Servicepersonal aber auch Weine anderer Provinienzen serviert. Wer toller Atmosphäre auf höchstem Niveau speisen möchte, muß hier hin!

Das gesamte Anwesen ist phantastisch und wäre eine perfekte Adresse für ein 3*Sterne Restaurant. Tische ohne Tischdecke sind etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig auf dem Niveau. Die Küche präsentierte sich bei den 5 Gängen auf 2*Sterne Niveau. Das Tatar vom Reh war genial, leider fiel der Rauchfisch mit weißem Alba Trüffel geschmacklich ab. Die einzelnen Portionen hätten etwas gewichtiger sein dürfen. Service begleitete souverän.

Why do we go to the temples of top gastronomy with enthusiasm? Of course, because we want to experience excellent products with tasty and innovative processing, presented in a stylish ambience. We want to be surprised and encouraged to think for ourselves. We were able to experience all of this in the L.A. Jordan. A wonderful tasting menu impressed with an emphasis on high-quality fish and shellfish products and an original main course with wild hare. The service was unobtrusively omnipresent and highly professional. I would particularly like to mention the wine accompaniment, which captivated with a selection of exciting wines, some of which started off bulky and then created a taste explosion in addition to the food. Fantastic! The L.A. Jordan is a perfectly oiled gourmet machine in the best sense of the word!

Auch dieses Mal haben wir einen wunderschönen Abend im LA Jordan verbracht. Das Menü mit den begleitenden Weinen war wieder hervorragend und auch spannend. Stets entdecken wir etwas Neues im LA Jordan. Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist aber auch der hervorragende, sehr aufmerksame, niemals aufdringliche Service. Sehr angenehm ist der Shuttle-Service, der uns stets sicher nach Haus bringt. So ist es möglich, ohne Reue die Weinbegleitung zu genießen. Kurz, besser kann man in der Pfalz nicht essen und genießen. Einen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team.

Had an unbeatably sensational 8 course menu. The restaurant really deserves its 2 stars. As a wine accompaniment we chose a Pinot Gris 1st location from the Palatinate winemaker Jülg. The food and wine were absolutely terrific. The food is actually a firework display on the palate and incredibly creative. The service is at the highest level and the ambience is very modern with a pleasant distance from the neighboring tables. Anyone who lives within a radius of 50 km can enjoy the specially set up free shuttle service. All in all, a true culinary experience that is certainly not exactly cheap. But let's be honest... in a 2 star restaurant, of which there are only 50 in Germany, you expect a higher price. Definitely a top restaurant for gourmets.

Ich hatte von Open Table rechtzeitig eine Nachricht erhalten, dass es keine vegetarischen oder veganen Speisen gibt. So weit so perfekt. Es stand aber nichts darin, dass es für jemanden, der keinen Fisch isst keine Alternativen gibt. Ein von mir eingeladener Gast isst keinen Fisch. Es wurden keine Alternativen angeboten, auch nicht aus der Lounge oder aus dem Restaurant 1718, die beide im selben Anwesen sind. Wir mussten das Restaurant verlassen, da ich nicht einen Gast ins Restaurant einladen kann, der dann über die Hälfte des Menüs nicht essen kann. Das war extrem peinlich für mich als Einladender. Dazu hat man von mir 600.- Euro Stornokosten verlangt! Ich war Gast in diesem Restaurant seit seiner Eröffnung ca. 2006 unter dem Namen Ketschauer Hof und mit dem Gründer gut bekannt. Manche Events habe ich dort veranstaltet. Mein Weinfach werde ich nun kündigen, meine Weine dort abholen und nie mehr dort Gast sein, wobei ich über diese Entwicklung traurig bin.

1st class dining experience - kann ich nicht anders sagen. Alle Teller waren wunderbar, viel Fisch und Meeresfrüchte, aber auch köstlicher Hase. Die Weinbegleitung war definitiv interessant, die unfangreiche Weinkarte bietet aber auch Tolles. Einfach mal gönnen!

Our first visit to L.A. Jordan was a while ago - back then the restaurant still had a Michelin star. Even back then we thought it deserved at least two stars. We were there again last week, and now the L.A. Jordan actually has two stars - completely deserved in our opinion! For me, the restaurant has now even reached the level of three stars. A visit is absolutely recommended for everyone who has the highest culinary standards and appreciates the fine art of fine cuisine.

Das Ambiente im wunderschönen Innenhof des Anwesend und das Essen waren durchweg hervorragend. Keiner der präsentierten Gänge war uns in irgendeiner Weise mit irgendwelchen negativen Assoziationen in Erinnerung geblieben (und sonst hat man im Verlauf eines großen mehrgängigen Menüs oft mal einen oder mehrere Gänge, die das Gesamtbild trüben).

Yesterday my wife and I had the pleasure of indulging in a seven-course meal at LA Jordan in Deidesheim, accompanied by a carefully curated wine pairing. The entire experience was nothing short of exceptional, with each course and wine selection thoughtfully crafted to delight the senses. One wine that truly stood out was the Chardonnay from Weingut Huber. Its mineral notes were striking, adding a refreshing depth that complemented the dishes beautifully. This Chardonnay was, without a doubt, a highlight of the evening. When it comes to the food, the standout dishes for me were the pigeon, crayfish, and tuna. Each was prepared with precision and creativity, showcasing the chef's mastery of both technique and flavor. The pigeon was tender and flavorful, the crayfish was fresh and delicately seasoned, and the tuna was simply sublime. However, every dish served was of the highest quality, making it difficult to pick just a few favorites. The service at LA Jordan deserves special mention as well. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional, enhancing the dining experience with their impeccable service. In conclusion, my evening at LA Jordan was an unforgettable journey through exquisite flavors and textures, paired with outstanding wines. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a top-tier culinary experience in Deidesheim.

Wunderbarer Service und das Essen ein Erlebnis!!! Insgesamt war alles definitiv auf 3 Sterne Niveau. Freuen uns schon auf ein nächstes Mal.

Es war wieder ein wunderschönes Erlebnis: ein tolles Menü mit überraschenden Geschmackskomponenten ,eine hervorragende Weinempfehlung, alles dargeboten von einem höchst kompetenten Service.

Ruhiger, unaufgeregter aber tadelloser Service; hervorragende Weinbegleitung -vorwiegend Pfälzer Weine , Klassisch französische Basis kommt hier und dort zum Vorschein, um dann durch raffinierte japanische Akzente bereichert zu werden! Große Kochkunst!

Absolut einzigartiges Geschmackserlebnis. Klasse! Aufmerksamer und sympathischer Service! Tolle Weine! Das Menü war etwas zu Fisch-lastig, obwohl dieser exzellent war. Bei Reservierung wurde angegeben, dass ein Jahrestag, in unserem Fall der Hochzeitstag, in Ihrem Restaurant gefeiert werden würde. Leider wurde dies in keinster Weise berücksichtigt. Gerade auf diesem Niveau und sogar nachdem dies explizit von Ihnen erfragt und von meiner Seite angegeben wurde, darf man in dieser Preisklasse zumindest eine kleine Aufmerksamkeit erwarten.

One of the greatest taste experiences imaginable. One brilliant dish after another. Welcoming, relaxed and fun service. Deep but accessible wine list. A stress-relieving experience - 3.5 hrs went by in a heartbeat.

Sehr guter Service, nicht aufdringlich und dennoch stets bereit. Die Speisen sind sehr innovativ, jedoch nicht überzogen.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im L.A. Jordan und haben den Abend meines Geburtstages dort verbracht. Wir waren von den kulinarischen Genüssen, der grandiosen Weinbegleitung und dem freundlichen Personal erneut sehr begeistert. Mr. Kaisergranat werden wir in guter Erinnerung behalten. Über die süße Aufmerksamkeit zu meinem Geburtstag habe ich mich ebenso gefreut. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Es war rundherum ein perfekter Abend. Die Weine waren wunderbar auf das Essen abgestimmt.

Hier wird Spitzenküche geboten, die uns den Umweg wert ist. Hier gibt es angenehm viel Platz zwischen den Gästetischen, handemade Zwiesel-Gläser für den Sekt/Wein, einen sehr aufmerksamen, freundlichen Service und exzellent zubereitete Speisen. Wir hatten uns für das attraktiv bepreiste “Überraschungsmenü” entschieden und haben es sehr genossen. Deshalb nehmen wir diesen Umweg gerne einmal wieder auf uns.

Top Küche mit asiatischen Elementen. Service und Ambiente ebenfalls erstklassig. Weinauswahl riesig mit Schwerpunkt Pfalz. Weinpreise ambitioniert. Essen ist ein Erlebnis.

Das war wieder ein großartiger Abend! Mit viel herzlicher Aufmerksamkeit des Restaurant Teams hat man sich um uns gekümmert. Das Menü war spannend mit vielen feinen Aromen und tollen Weinen dazu. Mein Highlight des Menüs: der Kaisergarant, auf den Punkt zubereitet, so fein im Geschmack!

Unfortunately it was a total failure for us... we paid €500 more than the bill actually amounted to (see picture for the bill). Got the money back. If we hadn't checked again afterwards, that would probably have been our problem. It is advisable to check the invoice...

We had a fantastic evening here and celebrated our first wedding anniversary here. Thank you very much at this point for the great surprise from the winery and the nice response from the card labeling to the dessert. The food was excellent, creative, aromatic. Absolute Spitzenklasse! Hervorragende Küche, tolle Weinbegleitung

Unglaublich feine und tolle Geschmäcker und seine 2 Sterne wert :)

Seid sehr langem nicht mehr so unglaublich gut gegessen. Alle Gänge waren super und leicht. Die Garung vom Fisch und Fleisch war einmalig. Freundliche und gut Bedienung und herrliche Weine.

Alles in Allem auf sehr sehr hohem Niveau. Der Raum sehr angenehm und relativ ruhig. Das Essen fantastisch. Alleine die verschiede Arten der Zubreitung sorgen für Begeisterung, die Größe der einzelnen Gerichte sind perfekt, die Zeitanstände ebenfalls. Immer wieder erfolgt ein freundliches Ansprechen des Servicepersonals ohne aufdringlich zu sein. So kommt man freundlich ins Gespräch. Dann noch die perfekt abgestimmte Weinbegleitung, von bekannten Weinen bis gänzlich unbekannte, aber einer so gut wie der andere und immer perfekt auf den Gang abgstimmt. Sogar der empfohlene Degestiv ist etwas absolut Besonderes. Eines der besten Sternelokale die wir in den letzten Jahren besuchen durften, man muß den Vergleich selbst mit drei Sternen nicht scheuen, obwohl Vergleiche hier nicht angebracht erscheinen, da jedes dieser Spitzenlokale jeweils eine eigene Rubrik darstellen. Modernes eingerichtetes Restaurant mit gut geschulten Kellnern. Das Gourmetessen war sehr köstlich , besonders das Gericht mit den Alba Trüffeln war ein Geschmackstraum. Die von uns bestellte Weinbegleitung war zu den einzelnen Gerichten perfekt abgestimmt.

Magical menu! Huge selection of wines, especially Rieslings. From greetings from the kitchen to dessert, everything was great. Each course is very diverse and tasteful. Class. One of the best restaurants for me!

I thought for a long time whether I should give four or five stars, something in between would have been perfect. The menu was well presented and tasted very good. Only the broth for the skipjack was too dominant for me and made the fish fade into the background. I also personally missed some spice and roasted aromas from the scallop. This may be a petty gripe, but at two star level the air gets thin quickly. The wine pairing was good, but didn't have any real highlights. I thought it was a shame that only young wines were served throughout. And now a compliment to the service, you were great.

Beim Fischgang (cod) fanden wir einhellig, dass die fermentierte Sosse etwas zu salzig war und den Geschmack der Tintenfischstreifen total überlagerte.

Anyone who loves perfect hospitality and excellent cuisine should definitely "treat themselves" to the L.A.Jordan. The extensive menu leaves nothing to be desired and the knowledgeable wine pairing by sommelier Stephan Nitzsche rounds off the successful firework of aromas in perfect form. Everything was so successful that you would like to come back as soon as possible.

Der Abend war wirklich grandios. Der Service war herausragend gut. Alle Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter waren sehr kompetent, überaus freundlich und sympathisch, aber keinesfalls aufdringlich. Jeder Gang des Menüs war ein kulinarischer Hochgenuss. Hervorzuheben ist auch die wirklich ausgewogene und gut abgestimmte Weinbegleitung. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Das Essen war ohne Frage hervorragend. Und auch viel. Meine Sorge, dass man nicht satt wird war schnell widerlegt. Das Ambiente war toll. Man fühlte sich total wohl. Und zu oben ist vor allem das Personal. Aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sowas ist in der Sterneküche nicht selbstverständlich! Alle total bodenständig. Spießig gibt es dort nicht. Auch die gehobenen Preise sind absolut vertretbar, wenn man die hochwertigen Produkte betrachtet. Die Patisserie ist mindestens genauso beeindruckend!

Food really great, completely new impressions gained. But the service and by that I only mean the refilling of water. Even if you don't drink, the glass gets full over time and you are given another bottle without asking, which firstly you don't have and secondly you still have. A bottle of water for €10.50. I actually wanted to tip €50, but it ended up only being €30. Unfortunately, Jordan is not alone in the star circus with this approach.

Das Menu war wie ein sensationeller Genuss, inkl. der Weinreise mit hervorragend abgestimmten Weinen. Begeistert hat uns auch die zwanglose Athmospäre in stilvollem Ambiente, und dazu der sehr freundliche und angenehme Service, das ruft nach Wiederholung!
