Always a memorable event to have dinner at the Véndome. The composition, taste and visual appeal of the dishes are outstanding: Joachim Wissler has his very own style. Larissa Metz's patisserie is exciting, enjoyable and creative. The service, led by Christoph Strahl, is warm, attentive and precise in explaining the poems. What I appreciate about this place is that they give the guest their space and don't do fancy cooking: it's all about the plates and you have the appropriate amount of time between courses to spend with your companion in this enchanting ambience. Appendix: Beetroot flower fermented, beetroot essence, sour milk, quinoa salad & radish. Dazz buckwheat madeleine, sour milk & tonburi caviar.

Normally a clear case for five stars. However, you have to keep in mind that you are in a restaurant with a Michelin star and are paying well over €200 per person. The food was very good and very original but sometimes not the perfection of classic work (for example the cooking level of the halibut in the main course). Conclusion: a very good fine dining restaurant. Compared to the competition in Düsseldorf, it's not quite at the top.

Excellent all around!!! An ingenious menu, a top wine pairing - and all in a totally charming atmosphere. We'll be going back here very soon. Update 10/2024: there for the 4th time. And always just perfectly tasty and nice. Update 05/2025: always an absolutely great experience!

Very nice atmosphere, outstanding service and incredibly delicious food! Every course was excellent, chef Felix Weber, who took time for each guest, was very nice and sommelier Christian Pufahl was super personable. Thanks to him we learned about some great new wines. It was also great that you could watch the chefs prepare the food. We were definitely not there for the last time!

I'll start with a WOW. We only discovered the restaurant because we booked the Parkhotel as a little break. A very young team, always trying hard, friendly, courteous, warm and simply inspiring. After some experiences in 1*e and 2*e restaurants, all we can say is... we wish Lukas Hoffmann and his team that he gets at least one soon. This variety of flavors, the loving visual creation of the dishes and the seasonality and regionality leave nothing to be desired. A very special thank you goes to the Junior Sommelièr Franziska Prenzel, who was a "wish fulfiller" before making the reservation and accompanied us individually throughout the evening. Thanks to the whole team, good luck to all employees for their future professional careers. We were, are and will remain enthusiastic. WE WILL COME BACK. Best regards from the Bergisches Land.

Wir sind eine kleine Gruppe die regelmäßig Sternerestaurants besucht. Das Essen war lecker, mit durchaus kreativen Ideen. Service auch gut, unaufgeregt und zurückhaltend freundlich. Leider waren die Portionen sehr klein, auch im Vergleich zu anderen ausgezeichneten Restaurants. Als Hauptspeise eine Scheibe Fleisch mit minimaler Beilage geht nicht. Die Menge würde ich je Gang auf maximal zwei Esslöffel beziffern. Waren leider am Ende alle nicht ansatzweise gesättigt.

Very good service paired with excellent food! Absolute recommendation

Das Balthasar stand schon lange auf meiner Liste. Das Menü hatte mir allerdings nie so zugesagt. Nun verbrachten wir einen sehr schönen Abend hier. Ich hatte das 7 Gänge Menü mit Weinbegleitung. Das Restaurant ist stilvoll eingerichtet aber leider empfanden wir es als etwas zu dunkel, d.h. die toll angerichteten Teller kommen nicht so gut zur Geltung. Es gab das ein und andere Geschmackserlebnis. Einzig der Rotwein hat mir persönlich nicht so zugesagt. Der Menüpreis ist ok und die Weinkarte hat faire Preise. Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Blick in die Küche ist schon eigenartig (Huhn, Wildschweinkopf). Der Stern ist gerechtfertigt und ich kann das Restaurant weiterempfehlen. Leider bekommt man nicht mit ob der Chef im Hause ist.

I was here last night with two friends and we really ate a lot - starter, main course and dessert. Surprisingly, we got the starter on the house, which was a really nice gesture! The service was friendly and attentive, and the entire restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food tasted very good. A really great place for special occasions!
