For over 39 years, I have been passionate about eating out in particularly good restaurants almost all over the world, and enjoy star cuisine. Since I was a child, I have preferred being in the kitchen to cook rather than playing or pursuing other hobbies. I have never been as surprised and thrilled with culinary delights as I was in the ES:SENZ restaurant! There is more creativity, love and taste in Edip Sigl's menu and dishes than any other chef in my world! Anyone who hasn't even eaten here and been enchanted by the wonderful team, the ambience and the "three star cuisine" has missed something in their life. Chapeau for this culinary art and the symbiosis of exclusive foods. Every bite and every drop of wine is worth savoring in this great restaurant.

The Eisvogel is a gourmet restaurant where everything is just right. The atmosphere is cozy, with a wonderful view, the music is subtle, and the service is very professional and friendly. We felt welcome from the first moment. There are enough staff for just a few tables to make you feel completely comfortable. We were also impressed by the menu. The food here is cooked with great attention to detail. There are no limits to creativity. Everything is decorated with mini flowers. The eye eats too. A card for each course describes what is currently on the plate, nice idea. The taste of the dishes is simply excellent. You can't describe it, you have to try it yourself. The wine selection is wide-ranging and is stored as an eye-catcher in a walk-in “wine fridge” that stands in the middle of the room. Many thanks again to the team for this extraordinary evening

The Edl.eins in the Karl Turm above the roofs of Deggendorf is a culinary experience in a class of its own! Nicolas La Rocca has achieved a truly masterful feat with his new start. We were able to enjoy an extraordinary evening, which was rounded off by an almost private atmosphere and impeccable service. The modern rooms with their stylish furnishings ensure well-being. The rotating chairs are particularly impressive, allowing you to take a fascinating look over the roofs of Deggendorf again and again - a pleasure for the senses and the soul. The evening began with an innovative greeting from the kitchen that amazed our taste buds. The starters enchanted us: the lady chose a delicate loup de mer, while the gentleman enjoyed the beef tartare with an unexpected highlight - small pieces of tongue that provided an amazing flavor. The truffle creations were a real treat! Aromatically perfectly balanced agnolotti for women and a sweetbread accented by Berbere for men. But the absolute highlight was the Norway lobster with vanilla and old balsamic vinegar on spinach. The perfect combination of layers and textures led to a true explosion of flavors on the palate - an unforgettable fireworks display of enjoyment. The culinary adventure continued with a sorbet of lavender and rose, which gently prepared us for the duck “Monsieur Miéral”. This was not only heavenly tender, but also crispy - a detail that we particularly love. It was accompanied by jus with mountain pepper, couscous, fennel and a zucchini flower stuffed with duck - a harmonious interplay of flavors. The selection of cheeses from France was an elegant conclusion for the gentleman, while the lady was treated to an impressive composition of cappuccino, coffee, sea buckthorn and croissant. A worthy final chord to a truly magical evening. The Edl.eins is a pearl of gastronomy that makes every visit an unforgettable experience. We would like to thank the entire team for their skills and wish them continued success. We'll definitely be back!

If anyone wants to go on a culinary adventure trip, the Hirschkönig is the perfect place for them. Anyone who loves wine and books the wine accompaniment will enhance these taste compositions even further. The food and wine are carefully matched by the chef and sommelier. Last night I had one of the best meals of my life in this restaurant. I sat at the bar, so I could look into the kitchen, which was great fun, and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented and the wines matched perfectly. What was really fun was that each course had a little side plate with a small amount of the main ingredient cooked a different way to the main plate. For example, the asparagus with parmesan cream featured grilled asparagus on the main plate, then the side plate had a small piece of delicious asparagus tempura (which took me right back to when I lived in Japan). Unfortunately I didn’t take photos but this was actually a conscious decision because I wanted to enjoy the food and fully experience the evening. The service was also impeccable. All staff are friendly and nice, and give good explanations of the dishes and accompanying wines. Yes, it is pricey, but definitely worth it for a treat. I’ll be back again soon.
