Hotel Bayerwaldhof in Bad Kötzting

Wir waren letztes Jahr zu meinem 70. Geburtstag im Bayerwaldhof. Ein super tolles Hotel und der gedeckte Geburtstagtisch war umwerfend. Sie haben sich viel Mühe gemacht. Alle Mitarbeiter und Zimmermädchen sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Alles sehr sauber und der Wellnessbereich ist nicht zu übertreffen. Auch die 3/4 Pension ist überragend. Für mich das schönste Hotel. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Auf Empfehlung unserer Tochter haben wir hier ein paar Tage Auszeit genossen. Herrlich die Lage am Waldrand. Die Buffets am Morgen und Nachmittag haben keinen Wunsch offengelassen. Viererlei Abendessen zur Auswahl und ein Top-Salat- und Vorspeisenbuffet. Zu allen Mahlzeiten genießt man denselben Tisch. Das Personal ist superaufmerksam. Die Wellnessbereiche haben so viele Liegen in verschiedenen Räumen, da findet jeder einen Platz. Lichtdurchflutete Fitnessräume, bestens modern ausgestattet, immer Programm. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre im Haus. Ich hab euch auch direkt weiterempfohlen. 🤩

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Bayerwaldhof auf Empfehlung meiner Eltern, die seit vielen Jahren dort ihren Wellnessurlaub verbringen. Da sie immer davon schwärmen, wollten wir auch gerne mal in den Genuss kommen. Und was soll ich sagen? Natürlich war es ein wundervolles Erlebnis. Das Personal ist so freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, man fühlt sich von Sekunde eins an willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Das Ambiente überzeugt sofort bei der Ankunft. Alles ist gepflegt und die Bereiche außen waren schon wundervoll mit Frühlingsblumen bestückt. Was uns sehr beeindruckt hat, ist, dass der Bayernwaldhof ein wirklich großes Hotel ist, aber man das zu keinem Zeitpunkt wahrnimmt. Aufgrund der tollen Aufteilung des Restaurants und des Wellnessbereichs hat man immer ein sehr privates Gefühl. Nichts ist überlaufen und jeder findet einen gemütlichen Platz und man hat dabei Ruhe und Entspannung. Dabei ist alles sauber, gepflegt und mit Liebe eingerichtet und dekoriert. Der Wellnessbereich bietet alles, was das Herz begehrt. Es gibt so viele tolle unterschiedliche Saunen, sodass man gar nicht alle an einem Tag schafft. Auch der Außenbereich ist wunderschön angelegt und das Hotel ist so gelegen, dass man das Gefühl hat, weit weg von allem Stress zu sein. Die Saunaaufgüsse waren sehr abwechslungsreich und immer toll begleitet. Besonders schön war der Peelingaufguss in der Nebelwaldsauna. Danke für dieses Erlebnis! Das Essen hat uns auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Frühstücks- und Nachmittagsbuffet ist sehr vielfältig und jeder findet etwas. Es war eigentlich jedes Mal eine Herausforderung, weil man so viel wie möglich probieren möchte. Auch das Abendessen war grandios. Und haben besonders die Suppen und die Hauptgänge überzeugt. Wirklich alles ein Gedicht! Besonders haben wir uns über die Begegnung mit der dreifarbigen Glückskatze im Hotelshop gefreut. Sie hat sich ja wirklich den perfekten Schlafplatz auserkoren. Wir haben bereits nach dem ersten Tag beschlossen, wieder zu kommen. Dann gerne auch 3 statt nur 2 Übernachtungen! Danke, liebes Bayerwaldhof-Team für den schönen Urlaub! Bis bald!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Alles liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert egal ob Zimmer, Restaurant, Hausflur oder Wellnessbereich. Service immer super freundlich und nicht aufdringlich. Der Aufenthalt war spitze!

Wundervolles Hotel. Es fehlt an wirklich an nichts. Toller Wellnessbereich mit diversen Saunen und Pools. Das Essen inkl Mittagsjause ist mit einer großen Auswahl und bester Qualität wirklich einzigartig. Insgesamt ist das Hotel traditionell mit modernen Einzügen. Das Personal ist durchgängig höflich und professionell und es wird sehr stark auf Sauberkeit geachtet, das fällt wirklich auf.

Ein tolles Hotel mit schönen Schwimmbecken, Saunalandschaft klasse und Essen topp. Ein kleines Manko von mir, mir ist alles zu dunkel gehalten. Die Holzoptik ist toll, aber man könnte mit Lichter mehr Helligkeit bewirken.

Wenn du Ruhe und Landluft genießt ist der Standorte perfekt. Der Check in wurde bei unserer Anreise gerade digitalisiert. Für ältere Menschen ist das relativ kompliziert und das habe ich in solch einem Hotel nicht erwartet, da es doch unpersönlich wird. Ich habe eine Knoblauchunverträglichkeit und dies beim Check in angegeben, aber trotz Nachfragen beim Bestellen am Abend zweimal mit Knoblauch gewürzte Speisen bekommen. Ich hatte meinen Hund (BGS) dabei. Das war mir sehr wichtig und hat gut geklappt. Deshalb waren wir im älteren nicht renovierten Teil untergebracht.

Es ist einfach wunderschön, zwar etwas abgelegen aber wir mögen das ! Das Essen ist mega und mit ganz viel Liebe + Phantasie zubereitet...Haben Hunde ,auch für die ist es wunderbar ....klare Empfehlung ...wir kommen sehr gerne wieder 🥰🥰💯

Ein überragendes Hotelerlebnis ist jedes Mal wieder der der Aufenthalt im Bayerwaldhof. Von der atemberaubenden weitläufigen Wellnesslandschaft über die Kulinarik inklusive Ein-Sterne-Restaurant und Zimmer bis zum Team, das an Herzlichkeit nicht zu übertreffen ist. Ein paradiesischer Ort. Mein Lieblingshotel. Ich komme bald wieder. Einfach nur traumhaft!

Wir kommen im August zum 5 mal zu Ihnen. Vorab kann ich nur sagen das der Service und das Essen sowie zimmer alles top ist .Leider kann ich das vom fkk bereich am Teich nicht sagen Leider wird darauf nicht geachtet das das die leute mit badesachen dort liegen und schwimmen stellen Sie sich mal vor wir würden ohne badesachen im textil bereichdort schwimmen gehen was dann los wäre. Ich bitte sie bei der nächsten personal Besprechung vielleicht mal darauf hinweisen das man vielleicht mal zwischendurch im fkk bereich vorbeizuschauen oder ein größeres Schild dort an bringt das dieser Ort textil frei ist aber wie gesagt alles andere im Hotel ist auf höchsten Niveau. Was will man zu diesem Hotel sagen? Antwort: Weltklasse! Selbst Gastronom aus Bamberg und Sauberkeit, Freundlichkeit, Preis/Leistung, Wellnessbereich und das Essen einfach TOP. Aufguss super 👍, Massagen auch sehr gut und durch Empfehlung von Stammgast Marion Heil gerne wieder. Eva war auch eine tolle Bedienung und so liebevoll. Das einzige Manko, dass es von 11:00-13:30uhr kein Essen gibt, aber verständlich wenn man sieht was da aufgezaubert wird bei der Nachmittagsbrotzeit. Ein wirklich sehr schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Wellnessbereich, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Hervorragendes Essen rundet den Aufenthalt ab. Wir waren das 3. Mal dort und werden wieder kommen.

Eigentlich ist es ein Fehler dieses Hotel weiter zu empfehlen. Der Wellnessbereich sucht seines Gleichen. Die Küche glänzt mit kreativen Gerichten. Das Personal ist immer präsent und zuvorkommend. Einzig die Warteliste um hier residieren zu dürfen ist negativ zu bewerten. ( Betrifft uns nicht mehr) Andererseits spricht die hohe Auslastung für das Hotel. Wir waren vor ein paar Wochen im Bayerwaldhof und haben dort unseren Wellnessurlaub verbracht. Aufgrund der vielen positiven Bewertungen hatten wir schon ein paar Erwartungen und können nun sagen, dass diese tatsächlich voll erfüllt worden sind. Das gesamte Team ist auf ausgezeichneten Service ausgelegt, jeder ist immer sehr freundlich und offen - es wirkt dabei aber nicht künstlich aufgesetzt, sondern ehrlich gemeint. Wir hatten eines der modernen Zimmer, diese sind sehr behaglich und hochwertig eingerichtet. Man fühlt sich im ganzen Hotel generell sehr wohl. Das Essen war immer ausgezeichnet, da blieben keine Wünsche offen. Der Wellness-Bereich ist riesig und bietet viele verschiedene Saunen und Ruheräume für jeden Geschmack. Auch wenn teilweise recht viele Personen den Wellness-Bereich nutzen, wird trotzdem auf möglichst viel Privatsphäre geachtet. In den Ruheräumen hat man oft Liegeplätze in Nischen oder durch Trennwände separiert, das ist sehr angenehm. Würde man am Wellness-Bereich etwas kritisieren wollen, dann höchstens dass sich aktuell relativ viele Personen in ein- und denselben Ruheräumen sammeln und dadurch dort selten ein Platz frei ist. Viele Deutsche können leider nicht aus ihrer Haut und lieben es, Plätze dauerhaft mit ihrem Handtuch zu reservieren..;) aber selbst daran arbeitet der Bayerwaldhof schon - zum Zeitpunkt unseres Aufenthalts wurde schon fleißig an einem neuen Bereich für Ruheräume gebaut. Erwähnenswert ist noch der Fitnessbereich. Es gibt diverse kostenfreie Kurse wie Yoga, Pilates und co., sowie einen tollen Studiobereich mit sehr moderner und guter Geräteaustattung. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass wir vom Aufenthalt im Bayerwaldhof sehr begeistert waren. Ganz abgesehen von der wunderschönen Landschaft, die wir auch noch im malerischen Herbst erleben durften, haben wir richtig gut vom Alltag abschalten können. So geht Entspannung und Erholung pur. Bitte weiter so.

Wir waren im Dezember im Bayerwaldhof und es war ein perfekter Aufenthalt. Es beginnt mit einem freundliche Service beim Check-In, geht über hervorragend leckeres Essen zu allen Tageszeiten und endet im Wellnessbereich mit tollen und modernen Angeboten. Einziger Minuspunkt: das mit den Liegen funktioniert überhaupt nicht. Auch wenn bereits neue Ruheräume eröffnet wurden, sind tagsüber alle Liegen belegt. Meist nicht genutzt, aber eben typisch deutsch mit dem Handtuch reserviert. Das liegt natürlich an den Besuchern selbst, denn es würde perfekt aufgehen, wenn keiner reserviert. Hier wäre es hilfreich, wenn jemand vom Hotel ein bisschen darauf achtet und die Plätze ggf. auch freimacht. In den Abendstunden ab 17 Uhr ist es dann kein Problem mehr. Uns hat dieser Stress nicht aus der Ruhe gebracht und wir haben uns einfach irgendwo hingesetzt, für ein entspanntes Nickerchen am Nachmittag gab es für uns aber keine Option.

Ein traumhaftes Hotel in einer ruhigen Lage, eingebettet in die Nähe der Natur. Die Umgebung strahlt Gelassenheit aus, ideal für Erholung und besondere Momente. Die Zimmer sind großzügig geschnitten, modern gestaltet und strahlen eine klare, hochwertige Ästhetik aus. Das Personal ist stehts freundlich und hilfsbereit. Von der Rezeption über den Service im Restaurant bis hin zu den Wellness-Spezialisten begegnet man allen Mitarbeitenden mit einem Lächeln und individueller Aufmerksamkeit. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine vielfältige Auswahl an frischen, regionalen Produkten. Die Mittagsbrotzeit bietet ebenfalls eine große Auswahl an frisch zubereitet, lecker Speisen, hier ist für jeden etwas dabei. Das Abendmenü beeindruckt durch Vielfalt, Kreativität und höchstes kulinarisches Niveau. Die Gerichte sind abwechslungsreich, optisch ansprechend angerichtet und geschmacklich hervorragend, begleitet von passenden Weinen und aufmerksamen Service. Der Wellnessbereich ist großzügig dimensioniert und modern ausgestattet. Es gibt eine breite Palette an Anwendungen und Behandlungen, sowie komfortable Ruhezonen. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt, ruhig und regenerierend – perfekt, um Körper und Geist vom Alltag abzuschalten.

Der Bayerwaldhof ist für mich ein ganz besonderer Ort. Wir fahren seit Jahren mindestens einmal im Jahr hierher und buchen noch vor Ort für das nächste Jahr. Schon beim Ankommen spürt man Ruhe, Herzlichkeit und echte Wertschätzung. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön und laden sofort zum Entspannen ein, der Wellnessbereich ist ein Ort zum Loslassen und Abschalten. Kulinarisch wurde wir jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert und lässt keinen Wunsch offen. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich einzigartig macht, sind die Menschen – aufmerksam, herzlich und mit echter Leidenschaft bei der Sache. Wir empfehlen den Bayerwaldhof immer wieder mit guten Gewissen weiter.

I've been coming to this wonderful hotel since 2013, and I've been there 17 times now. It's always a wonderful experience, like coming home. The Bayerwaldhof is my sanctuary, and I feel deeply relaxed from the very first minute. I appreciate the magnificent location right next to the forest, the absolute peace and quiet, and the wonderful air. Every time we're there (my girlfriend now comes along too), we discover something new. The service is warm and welcoming, and you always feel at home. The food is outstanding, and the breakfast buffet is simply unbeatable. The afternoon snack and the evening menu are also incredibly delicious, and we always look forward to what tasty treats will be served each day. The sauna area is a dream, and its spaciousness is unparalleled. The Forest, Water, and Meadow Spa, in particular, is truly unique. The gym boasts top-of-the-line equipment and is also very spacious. You rarely find such a training facility. It's in perfect condition and spotlessly clean. A diverse selection of high-quality courses completes the offering. Our next visit for August 2026 is already booked. All the staff there do an outstanding job; you can tell that each and every one contributes to the wonderful stay. Absolutely perfect! There's no better hotel for a break from everyday life. Outstanding spa area, excellent food, and a fantastic team!

I highly recommend this hotel for a wellness retreat. I was looking for a hotel with beautiful, modern rooms that still retained a rustic charm. The room was fantastic, and I especially enjoyed the bathtub on the day I arrived. The service is courteous and attentive. The food leaves nothing to be desired, with a generous breakfast buffet. Lunch offers everything from a salad bar to hearty dishes and an incredible selection of cakes. The highlight is the multi-course menu, which allowed me to enjoy smaller portions of soup, main course, and dessert. As you would expect from a wellness resort, the hotel boasts several pools, relaxation rooms, and saunas, all beautifully decorated. I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and will certainly return.

A very nice spa hotel. Excellent for unwinding, relaxing, and enjoying the sauna. Plenty of swimming and sun loungers for relaxation. Dinner is simply perfect, with a very good salad buffet. Breakfast has everything you could want: freshly baked waffles, crepes, salmon, and much more. You won't want for anything. Afternoon tea is also available, with freshly baked cakes, cream tortes, coffee, cappuccino, and more. Accessible even in a bathrobe. A very nice spa hotel; I would gladly return.

It doesn't get more relaxing than this! The rooms range from traditional to modern reclaimed wood styles, and the sky suites offer incredible views. Mr. Brandl's cuisine is a dream. The warmth and hospitality of the house is balm for the soul – we'll definitely be back! 😀

I had the opportunity to host a quarterly meeting with my company at the Bayerwaldhof in Liebenstein – and what can I say: It was simply perfect! The service was outstanding – attentive, warm, and professional from the first moment to the last. The ambiance is simply a dream: stylish, cozy, and designed with incredible attention to detail. We were particularly impressed by the wellness area, which is truly second to none – everything has been thought of here to allow you to completely unwind and enjoy yourself. I was thrilled with the Bayerwaldhof. The location, surrounded by nature, is stunning, perfect for unwinding. The room was stylish and very clean, with a great view of the surrounding countryside. The wellness area is huge – I particularly enjoyed the saunas and the natural pool. The food was high-quality and varied, and the staff were consistently friendly and attentive. I felt completely at home and will definitely return. Conclusion: A place to relax and enjoy – highly recommended!

Our stay was fantastic. We have never felt as well looked after as at the Bayerwaldhof. We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary there. Mr. Weiss, the hotel director, is a very dynamic, friendly, and very nice person. He lives and breathes the hotel business. He puts his heart and soul into it. We would like to thank him again for everything. The Mühlbauer family will be returning hosts. I myself have lactose and fructose intolerance. Every care was taken to ensure my well-being. I didn't experience any reactions. Thanks to the outstanding kitchen crew for this excellent execution. My husband is a chef himself and thought the food was fantastic. The breakfast buffet is also a dream. The spa is very spacious and has a separate entrance for adults only. There are plenty of relaxation areas, and the sauna infusions are highly recommended. The massages were excellent. Our room (suite) was a dream. We will be back. Thanks to all the Bayerwaldhof team for everything.

Okay. The location was a bit unsettling for me as I approached. A forest path, a single lane, and what felt like an eternity, all alone on the road. But then a glimmer of hope and an immediate atmosphere that invites you to unwind. No: unwinding is a must, there's no other way. I have one more thing to confess. My stay isn't even over yet, and it's already time for a review. When you come with high expectations and they're exceeded... What more can I say? Thank you, dear Alfons. Your team is amazing and does an outstanding job. The food is top-notch. I've rarely felt so comfortable in a resort/hotel.

My partner and I were guests in this superb paradise from September 10th to 14th, 2025. The hotel absolutely lives up to its reputation and is highly recommended. We were thrilled with the service, cleanliness, and ambiance. The entire grounds, the rooms, and the hotel are extremely well-maintained and super clean. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired, as does the food. We've been to several wellness hotels, but this one leaves nothing to be desired. Also, a huge compliment to Stephan Brandl and his team at Leos. We ate there on Saturday, and after some initial skepticism about dining in a Michelin-starred restaurant, we quickly felt very comfortable and welcome. This hotel is like being in paradise. The details are meticulous, nothing is overlooked to make you feel comfortable and happy. The layout of the hotel is something that really caught my attention. We loved the cleanliness, the decor, the food, the facilities, the gym, the green areas, the horses, the pool, the sauna, and even the activities. Everything is very well thought out to make you feel comfortable and have an unforgettable time. I want to come back someday. ❤️

I don't even know where to begin! We spent a week at the Hotel Bayerwaldhof. We arrived with high expectations, and they far exceeded them! Our suite was simply a dream, everything you need and much more! The food, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, was simply amazing and indescribably good! The wellness area was amazing! Everything is spotlessly clean, throughout the entire hotel. The best thing of all are the incredibly friendly staff! With each and every one of them, from the chambermaid, gardener, and service staff, you can tell that they enjoy their job here. A huge compliment and thank you to all of you!! You also see the owners and hotel manager (also very pleasant people) almost every day. What I want to say is, it's a family-run hotel, and you can feel it! On the day of departure, we received a form with various questions about what we liked and what we didn't. Here at the hotel, I could only give full marks everywhere! Everything is just right! I was there with my daughter for the weekend. It was simply perfect. From check-in to check-out. The wellness area with the natural pond was fabulous, clean, and spacious. The room, restaurant, breakfast, dinner, and massage were all top-notch. The best part was Saturday evening at Leos. 5-course menu with many greetings from the kitchen. Every course was a feast for the palate. We'll be back. Thanks to the entire team.

We've been at the Bayerwaldhof for a few days now – together with our 🐕 – and are so thrilled that we want to share our impressions right in the middle of our vacation. 🌲 Location & Nature The location in the middle of nature is stunning, perfect for walks directly from the hotel. 🛏️ Rooms Our room is spacious, very clean, comfortably furnished, and offers plenty of space – even for our dog. 💦 Wellness The wellness area is huge, with various pools 🏊‍♂️, saunas 🔥, a natural pond 🌿, and wonderful relaxation rooms – simply pure relaxation. 🍴 Cuisine We are pampered with culinary delights from morning to night: a rich breakfast 🥐, a delicious afternoon buffet 🍰, and an evening menu 🍷🥩 that leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is prepared to the highest standards and with lots of love. 🤝 Atmosphere, Guests & Staff What we love most, however, is the family atmosphere. You immediately feel welcome, almost like you're at home 🏡. Many things don't even need to be said – they've already been taken care of. You also notice how many repeat guests vacation here, all of whom are incredibly nice and friendly 😊. I've been there several times now. And every year, a stay at my second home is a must. Yes, the Bayerwaldhof is like my second home; I arrive and feel completely at home.

The hotel more than lives up to its motto, "Your little paradise in the countryside." The entire complex, including the pools and saunas, is extremely clean, well-maintained, and offers a wide variety of amenities. The furnishings and decor are tasteful and immediately inviting. The food is varied and of high quality – a delight every day. The staff deserves special mention: always friendly, attentive, and helpful. We felt welcome from the very first moment and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

If you're looking for an activity-packed yet relaxing holiday, this is the perfect place. You can take a variety of sports courses, go hiking, indulge in the spa, and, above all, enjoy the wonderful food. The wine tasting was a major highlight of our holiday. The rooms are very modern and well-maintained. The staff in all areas were very accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back.

My family gave me a voucher for a little getaway. I've been here several times, and it was always totally relaxing. The sauna area is particularly nice. The food and service were great. The staff are incredibly friendly. It was simply wonderful. 👍🌻

The staff is super friendly, the food is amazing, the wellness area is fantastic, and the surrounding area is stunning. July 25: We've just been here again, and a lot has changed for the better. The restaurant area has been significantly enlarged and improved. I'd especially like to point out that there are smoke-free areas on the terrace, where you can enjoy the excellent food without any annoying smoke. Unfortunately, the prices have also increased considerably. Let's see how long "normal people" like us can still afford it. It is and remains a top address.

Original review: I was there for a trial period, but my wife and I were still allowed to use the hotel's full facilities like a regular guest. A superlative hotel. I enjoyed working there. Unfortunately, it didn't work out, and they chose another applicant.

We were guests at the Bayerwaldhof as a birthday surprise for my son. We enjoyed a 5-course dinner ("Leo's" at the hotel) on the first day. As an ambitious amateur cook (courses and menus with several Michelin-starred chefs, including Alexander Hermann and Huber, Fonse Schubeck, and Johanna Maier), I experienced a rare, dreamlike menu. Fonse and Hermann could learn a thing or two from this. Congratulations, Mr. Brandl! The other food and drinks were of excellent quality and offered a very large selection. The wellness area is simply wonderful, and every detail is lovingly designed, allowing for perfect relaxation, even if it's a bit too cold or "modern" for an "old" person. The hotel is highly recommended. The rooms are gorgeous, the food exceptionally delicious, and the staff and service are so friendly and helpful that it's hard to beat. You simply feel very comfortable. Of course, given the staff (over 200) and the investment, the price is a bit higher, but it's justified. We'd love to come back for special occasions. horst

Just a few words: a visit is definitely worth it. Just check beforehand to make sure there's no construction going on. We got an upgrade to a suite, a dream. But all the other rooms are excellent too.

The absolute highlight is the culinary offerings. Both the selection and the quality and preparation are outstanding. Unfortunately, the wellness offerings are largely aimed at nudists. If that's your thing, you'll be in good hands here.

From the reception to the service in the restaurant - every single person was a true professional when it came to hospitality. - *Wellness area:* The wellness area was a highlight of my stay. I particularly loved the Finnish sauna! The music selection was gigantic. - *Room:* My room was fantastic and spacious. There was enough space to be comfortable and the furnishings were modern and stylish. - *Food:* The food in the hotel was extremely good! The selection was large and the quality of the dishes was excellent. The candlelight dinner was perfect and the food was great.👌 *Conclusion* Overall, my stay at this hotel was a complete success. The combination of friendly staff, great wellness area, fantastic rooms and excellent food totally convinced me. I can only recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back! 5 stars from me!

We have been guests at the Bayerwaldhof every January for years. As a birthday surprise, I booked a short weekend stay. We were already at the hotel for breakfast, booked breakfast and use of the spa for the morning, enjoyed the excellent candlelight dinner with stylish birthday decorations on Saturday evening (it wasn't specially ordered, the service came from the hotel and is simply outstanding) and ended the wonderful spring day at the bar with perfectly mixed drinks. The next day we started with an extensive breakfast that left nothing to be desired, checked out and booked the wellness area. Happy, satisfied and feeling 5 years younger, we drove back to Munich in the late afternoon and are already looking forward to our next break at the Bayerwaldhof. Warm greetings to the entire team!

Oh yes. The hotel is absolutely recommended. The rooms are fantastic, the food is exceptionally delicious, and the staff and service are so friendly that it's hard to beat. The wellness area was great, very, very clean. You just feel very comfortable.

We decided to spend our "honeymoon" in this hotel. We stayed there for 4 nights and it was definitely the best decision. The food was outstanding! There was always a large and fresh selection. I think the concept that hardly any food should be thrown away is very good and is implemented very well. The sauna infusions were perfect. It was very relaxing, they weren't over the top and the scents were very good. Overall, just a perfect stay.

Our 3-day stay at the Premium Spa Hotel Bayerwaldhof was again simply fantastic. This time in a sky loft with a fabulous view and all amenities in the newly opened rooms. Our recommendation: definitely try it out! But what really sets this hotel apart is the personal leadership provided by the hotel manager and his professionally trained and humane team. Time is taken for each guest and it is ensured that all wishes - if possible - are fulfilled. The food is outstanding – every meal is a pleasure for the palate and eyes. The kitchen uses regional ingredients and prepares them with a lot of love. We were particularly impressed by the attention to detail that you can feel everywhere in the hotel. The entire staff is always open to the guests' needs and fulfills their wishes with a smile. The atmosphere and furnishings really appeal to all the senses - from the calming ambience in the spa area to the subtle scent experiences to the pleasant room acoustics. From the first moment you feel welcome, spontaneously relaxed... and this lasts. :) If you are looking for a stay where well-being, an ambience for all the senses and customer orientation are important, the Bayerwaldhof is the right place for you. Perfect relaxation - six stars would be deserved! I have never experienced a wellness hotel that is as convincing in every respect as the Bayerwaldhof. From the first-class service to the luxurious spa areas to the exquisite cuisine - everything is just right here! We were there from February 23rd. - February 27th, 2025 as a couple (45Y + 54Y) at the Bayerwaldhof and had booked the “Harmony Days” arrangement. We can fully agree with the many positive reviews before us. By separating the spa area into a family-friendly part and an “adults only” part (the latter from 14 years old), every guest can find the offer that suits them best. The only (small) point of criticism is the inconsistency with the plan for the sauna infusions, which is placed on the table with the daily information for breakfast in the morning, as it did not correspond to the plan "on site" in the sauna area. It would also be nice to have some leaf salad at the breakfast buffet. In addition to the attractive architecture and the tasteful interior in all areas of the complex, from the great cuisine to the great spa area, we particularly have positive memories of the warm family atmosphere and the friendly service staff throughout the hotel, so we have booked again for next year. Many thanks to the Mühlbauer family for this wonderful place that was created here.

Update It was another nice vacation. The warmth of the entire team at the hotel makes every stay special and relaxing. There are also constant improvements such as the new and expanded buffet area or newly renovated and redesigned rooms. I'm already looking forward to the next vacation. ------ This was my second time at the Bayerwaldhof and I booked again straight away because everything was perfect and I felt completely comfortable. All areas are very inviting, modern and at the same time cozy. I personally think the large outdoor brine pool and the three hot saunas in the wellness area are particularly great. The treatments in the spa were also all carried out very professionally by very nice staff. I was able to relax a lot. The room, the Josefstube, was also very nice and clean. The food in the restaurant fulfilled all wishes and was always very good, whether at breakfast, in the afternoon or at dinner. The cocktails at the bar were always very well mixed. All the staff in the house are very nice and helpful with any questions or requests, so I really enjoyed my vacation and am already looking forward to the next time!

We have been guests at the Bayerwaldhof for 20 years, which was recommended to us by a good friend. We are always thrilled by the excellent quality of the house. The outstanding friendliness of the Mühlbauer family, the hotel manager Mr. Weiß and the entire staff were, among other things, the reason that we remained loyal to the hotel throughout the entire time. The perfect ambience throughout the house, the beautiful rooms, the excellent food, the very good service in all areas and the magnificent wellness area really leave nothing to be desired. A wonderful week is over and we are already looking forward to the next time in February 2026.

No wish remains unfulfilled here. Warm welcome. Suitcases/bags can be brought to the room, you can also do it yourself. For a 4 day short vacation, manageable luggage. Great room, with attention to detail, as in the entire hotel. And everything is spotlessly clean. Warm, friendly and attentive service everywhere. Culinary delights, intolerances are taken into account. A constant attack on the figure because everything is delicious and beautifully prepared. Fitness studio, super modern and also great, invites you to exercise, as do hiking tours from the hotel. Tried both. The wellness area is beautiful and varied. There is always a lounger. Massages are also recommended, I feel like new. A farm shop and attention to detail round everything off. We had a great break here and will definitely come back. Keep it up and thank you very much to the entire team for our great time.

We were at the Bayerwaldhof for the first time. After we have already visited all relevant and comparable hotels in the Bavarian Forest and partly in Austria and South Tyrol, we think that our short review below is meaningful. The Bayerwaldhof has surpassed “all” the hotels we know of by quite a bit. Everything is absolute here!!! and perfect without any flaws. Particularly noteworthy is the service and the genuine friendliness of the staff. Likewise the quality of the cuisine. This is definitely 5 star level. The wellness area, the rooms, fitness studio, riding stables are all top notch and well maintained. We particularly liked the fact that coffee or tea was free at the afternoon buffet. This always annoyed us at the other hotels. Class!! Smokers have also been thought of with the heated smoking pavilion including a cat. Otherwise I'm always standing somewhere in the rain or outside. Table decorations and the entire decoration in the hotel with incredible details and little hands. The room maids were friendly, quick, clean and simply top notch. Live music several times a week, great bar area, etc. Only the prices for spirits and cocktails could have been calculated a little more moderately and we would have liked to drink one more. We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to it.

We felt completely comfortable :) the spa area manages to combine modernity and comfort. Both the food and the service were excellent. Hospitality is very important. I have to deduct a tiny star because you have to pay extra for the sauna infusions. 5€/person isn't much but somehow it doesn't fit with the style and great ambience of the hotel. Other regular guests were also irritated by this innovation.

Unfortunately, the description does not include it being suitable for allergy sufferers (scented air conditioning, scented candles, etc.) and also not suitable for people with walking difficulties (lots of stairs). We were there with my girlfriend for one night on December 28th, 2024! Unfortunately it is expensive! The hotel is simply fantastic! First of all I really liked the staff, so friendly and helpful! The employee from Ethiopia was very competent and friendly and plays music very nicely! The food is very important to me as a “French” person :) and it was excellent! The wellness area is simply wonderful and all the details have been studied (candles, etc…) so that you can relax perfectly! The room was also perfect, except maybe the glass door of the toilets. The gym is also perfect and modern! What else should I write, hopefully I'll become a millionaire so I can come more often!!!
