Great food, lovely atmosphere, and perfect dining. What more could you want? Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The 6 course tasting menu was imaginative and bold. Mr. Karr is a wonderful host and chef. We arrived in Lindau and while checking in to the adjacent hotel, he appeared and said he had an opening that night, but was otherwise booked. We took his invitation and were rewarded well.

The 6 course menu is delicious. The wagyu stake tartar is absolutely good, the pidgeon was delicious and the pumpkin soup was out of mind. The chef is fantastic: kind and do a pretty good food. He invited us to go to the restaurant (there were 2 tables available while it only works by reservation), and when the first course came and had something my wife was allergic to, he promptly made a new dish, as delicious as the original one. The place is intimista, cozy and exquisite. The wine pairing was fine, their wines are pretty good. If you’re in luck to be in the island from Wednesday to Saturday, you should definitely try to get a reservation there.

Yesterday we visited Julian in his small but exceptionally fine restaurant in Lindau. There's really not much to say; the food was truly amazing, and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxed. Julian – the chef – personally serves his dishes and takes the time to explain things to each guest individually. We highly recommend a visit, and this certainly won't be the last time we visit. A little tip: you should definitely try the house wine, and it's best to take a few bottles home with you.

For those who see food as an experience rather than just a meal, this restaurant is pure magic. Every dish was a journey, perfectly accompanied by spot-on wine pairings that elevated the flavors even further. For some inexplicable reason, the chef ignored us. We had to ask for a glass of wine several times before it was served. At other tables, the dishes were explained. Ours was explained only partially or not at all. It's a shame, the event didn't live up to our expectations.

We were "smitten," so to speak, and even though we didn't have time for four or even six courses, and I was struggling with dietary restrictions, Julian Karr welcomed us warmly and cooked for us like royalty. A masterclass in hospitality! We'd love to come back again to enjoy the full menu.

Apparently, you get punished if you don't follow the owner's recommendation. He recommended his own creation – "slightly bitter." When I objected that I didn't like bitterness, he tried to convince me, mentioning something about grapefruit. My objection that I didn't like bitterness or citrus fruits was apparently too much. His next suggestion was a port-based cocktail – strangely enough, quite bitter! And on the menu, he claims he wants to make his guests happy! How sincere he is about this is evident from the fact that he ignored me all evening after I ordered, even though I had informed the friendly waitress of my irritation regarding the bitter cocktail. I think the young man just wants to show off and make himself happy.

My girlfriend and I visited a few weeks ago and were very impressed. We received a very friendly welcome and reception. The oysters offered to us at the beginning of the evening were excellent. All this combined with a very personable and approachable host, who also serves as maître de cuisine, as well as the more than attentive and warm service. For our extraordinary wedding day, we were looking for a special location and found it at KaRRisma in the Hotel Adara. We didn't want a set menu, but rather whatever the kitchen had to offer. Excellent. All 10+ courses were a royal delight of the highest quality and perfectly coordinated. The chef is absolutely confident in his culinary skills, and this is reflected in his many creations.

The menu was varied and very tasty, and the wait between courses was long, allowing plenty of time for conversation. We were still hungry after the meal, so we ate some cheese at home. The service and ambiance were excellent. The wines were good.

La experiencia fue genial! La comida se presentó espectacular, sabía aún mejor. Las porciones también eran grandes, no había nada que desear. El vino de la casa era un verdadero hallazgo raro y sabía maravilloso. El ambiente del restaurante era cálido y acogedor y el servicio era servicial. We were there on April 16th. We were guests and were able to spend a great evening here with the surprise menu with 5 courses and wine accompaniment. We were thrilled by the personal support (requests for coordination of allergies, intolerances, etc.) right from the start as well as the great and attentive service throughout the entire evening and the advice on wine. We would particularly like to highlight the delicious and really unusual dishes, the great quality and coordination as well as the perfect presentation of the dishes. We had a wonderful evening and would like to thank the entire team.

Wow wow wow We often go out to eat - one to three stars - everything included - but what Julian conjured up was sensational! EVERY and I repeat EVERY of the 6 courses was just so, so delicious! Michellin 2 star restaurant. There is no standard menu. A special menu is prepared for the day. Awesome 👌👌👌 There are 5-course, 6-course and 7-course options under the tasting menu.

Very great ambience with excellent food, great service, everything coordinated - including the wine accompaniment - and catered to needs in a differentiated manner. The finest wines, especially the champagne, which - and that's the no-go - we haven't been told about until today, not even when we asked about it several times.

We went to the festival menu at KARRISma with a small group of seven. There is a three-course menu for €66.00, drinks are additional. This is a really sporty price for which I expect a lot. And I didn't fully get that. What bothered me: Originally there were eight of us, one person dropped out. I announced this in advance via email. The answer was a naked “Okay.” That seems somewhat appreciative... The seven of us got a table for six people, with one more person squeezed in front of us. Visually unsightly, there is no space left for water or bread on the table and, above all, it is uncomfortable. By the time the first course arrived, we were pretty much left stranded. Drinks were being served diligently around us and we had to wait quite a long time until we were asked what we wanted. This can't happen if I'm to give it five stars. But because the food was really delicious and the service, apart from the shortcomings mentioned, was friendly and accommodating, I'm happy to give it four stars.

I went to KaRRisma with my niece for a special evening as part of a 'girls weekend'. We (50 and 28) were completely thrilled from start to finish. A completely successful 6-course menu - creative and absolutely top-notch in terms of preparation and ingredients, excellent wine, beautiful ambience and more than convincing service gave us a perfect evening. We say thank you and are very happy to come back. It was perfect.

The summer menu was an outstanding experience with great products, beautiful flavors and a visual feast for the eyes. The boss himself serves and explains. The 5 or 6 course menu was very well coordinated in terms of scope. It's very nice to sit in and there's a nice atmosphere. Any time!

La comida era sin duda una muy buena experiencia. Platos emocionantes y sabrosos. Un poco en el lado caro, pero muy buena comida. Desafortunadamente, había muy poco personal para atender a los huéspedes, lo que resultó en tiempos de espera. Nach längerer Zeit besuchten wir wieder einmal Julian Karr, den wir seit seiner Zeit im Hotel Karr in Langenargen kennen. Wir waren beeindruckt wie sich seine Küche weiterentwickelt hat und fanden die Verleihung eines Michelin Sternes mehr als angemessen. Das 6-Gänge Menü setzt sich aus kreativen Vorspeisen, etwas traditionelleren Hauptspeisen und einem kreativen Dessert zusammen. Nach einem Gruss aus der Küche (Spargeln, Pfifferlinge) begann das Menü beeindruckend mit einer Variation von der Wassermelone gefolgt von einer Variation von der Salatgurke - gerade dieser Gang zeigt das Potenzial von Julian Karr und kann mit Köchen auf höherem Sterne-Niveau leicht mithalten. Die Hauptgänge mit Kabeljau, Ochsenbacke und Ente waren traditioneller ausgelegt aber perfekt gekocht und sehr harmonisch. Das Dessert war dann wiederum eine kreative Kombination von unterschiedlichsten Komponenten, die aber wunderbar zusammen passten. Als Begleitung wählten wir den Hauswein, eine wunderbare Kombination von Weiss- und Grauburgunder vom Wingut Clauss aus Nack/Baden - sehr burgunsdisch! Insgesamt ein kulinarisches Erlebnis zu einem fairen Preis! Erwähnenswert auch der sehr gute Service durch den Maitre unterstützt von seinem Sous-Chef und der charmanten Lucia - die zeitliche Abfolge der Gerichte war ideal - alle 30 Minuten wurde ein Gericht serviert. Chapeau!

Comida deliciosa, servicio amable y sin pretensiones☀️En un corto plazo de tiempo, buscamos un buen lugar para å mejor comida después de un buen pero largo día de ciclismo. Aunque bastante tarde en nuestra reserva, todavía nos dieron una cálida bienvenida por el propio chef. Nos pareció que el servicio era muy bueno, por ejemplo, no fue ningún problema para ajustar para la alergia al gluten, que a menudo lo es. El meny era fresco con un tema de verano, nos encantó todo el curso, pero estábamos especialmente encantados con las variaciones de melón y el carpaccio de pepino. Muy recomendable!

After a long time we visited Julian Karr again, who we have known since his time at the Hotel Karr in Langenargen. We were impressed by how his cuisine has developed and found the award of a Michelin star more than appropriate. The 6-course menu consists of creative starters, somewhat more traditional main courses and a creative dessert. After a greeting from the kitchen (asparagus, chanterelles), the menu began impressively with a variation of watermelon followed by a variation of cucumber - this course in particular shows Julian Karr's potential and can easily keep up with chefs at a higher star level. The main courses of cod, ox cheek and duck were more traditional but perfectly cooked and very harmonious. The dessert was a creative combination of different components that went together wonderfully. As an accompaniment we chose the house wine, a wonderful combination of Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris from Wingut Clauss from Nack/Baden - very Burgundian! Overall, a culinary experience at a fair price! Also worth mentioning is the very good service from the maître, supported by his sous chef and the charming Lucia - the timing of the dishes was ideal - a dish was served every 30 minutes. Cheers!

If you've never dined at a one-menu restaurant before, give Karrisma a try. Every single course is delicious, surprising and just plain fun. I was able to taste components where, thanks to the map, I knew what I was looking at. And at the end of the evening I still hadn't found the right words to describe these components. Splendid. We were very lucky to get the last free table at the bar for New Year's Eve. The culinary excursion left nothing to be desired. Every dish was convincing not only visually but also in terms of taste. Astounding performance, like being brought home by a friend for dinner. If the friend was a supremely talented chef. A great ease front of house hides a furious kitchen, ingredients top notch and the wine pairings were part of each dish. The end result, of what must be years of hard work, is a treat for the senses.

Schon zu Beginn wurden wir mit Handschlag begrüßt und durften uns einen Tisch aussuchen. Das Essen war vom Gruß aus der Küche bis hin zum Nachtisch sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker. Eine Weinbegleitung wurde nicht angeboten, allerdings habe es eine kleine Weinkarte von der man auswählen konnte. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

We had dinner for two. There was no menu, you just asked if there was anything you didn't want or if you had allergies. Then it was served straight away. The food was excellent. Every single course and also the greeting from the kitchen was a positive experience. Things got a little tighter when it came to wine. A house wine was recommended to us, but we didn't think it was that great. The request for a varied wine pairing was somehow ignored. We then drank an Italian Chardonnay, which was really good and also inexpensive at 90 euros. What was unfortunately really bad and doesn't work at all for a 500 euro dinner for two people was the service. Chef Karr only served the 10 or 11 tables with his mother, which meant that everyone always sat for a long time in front of empty plates, that the mineral water had to be refilled himself and that it sometimes took too long between courses. With the bread there were 2 spreads in the smallest container, which was empty very quickly. No second helpings were brought here nor were they offered. Chef Karr addressed every guest, regardless of age, as Du, which isn't for everyone. The following statement proved that he is very confident in himself: "Everything tastes good to me," he answered himself after being asked whether it tasted good. Overall, excellent food, but unfortunately extremely poor service. Unfortunately, the Michelin star is not deserved, at least not on our evening.

Wir waren zum Dinner zu zweit. Es gab keine Speisekarte, es wurde einfach gefragt, ob man irgendetwas nicht will oder Allergien hat. Dann wurde drauflos serviert. Das Essen war hervorragend. Jeder einzelne Gang und auch der Gruß aus der Küche war ein positives Erlebnis. Beim Wein wurde es schon ein wenig enger. Ein hauseigener Wein wurde uns empfohlen, den wir aber nicht für so toll fanden. Der Wunsch nach einer variierenden Weinbegleitung wurde irgendwie überhört. Wir tranken dann einen italienischen Chardonnay, der wirklich gut und mit 90,- Euro auch preiswert war. Was leider wirklich schlecht war und zu einem 500,- Euro Dinner für 2 Personen überhaupt nicht geht, war der Service. Chefkoch Karr hat die 10 oder 11 Tische nur mit seiner Mama bedient, was zur Folge hatte, dass alle stets sehr lange vor leergegessenen Tellern saßen, dass das Mineralwasser selbst nachgeschenkt werden musste und es zwischen den Gängen manchmal zu lange dauerte. Zum Brot gab es 2 Aufstriche in kleinstem Gebinde, was sehr schnell leer war. Hier wurde auch kein Nachschlag gebracht und auch nicht angeboten. Chefkoch Karr sprach jeden Gast, gleich welchen Alters, mit Du an, was auch nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Dass er von sich selbst sehr überzeugt ist, bewies folgender Ausspruch: "Bei mir schmeckt alles gut" gab er sich nach der Frage, ob es denn geschmeckt hat, selbst die Antwort. Insgesamt hervorragendes Essen, bei leider ausgesprochen schlechtem Service. Der Michelin-Stern ist daher leider nicht verdient, zumindest nicht an unserem Abend.

We had the 5 course meal and it was amazing. What excited me even more is that vegetarians are also catered for and there is a corresponding alternative. The chef himself takes care of the menu - you can tell how much he puts his whole soul into what he does. I found the asparagus soup best (I've never eaten asparagus before, I probably won't again - apart from the karrisma😅) whereby all the dishes surprised and delighted my palate with sometimes completely unknown flavor combinations. What's more, everything there is homemade, except for the bread and chocolates that his brother makes. In short: absolutely recommended. And I would have liked to take the boss's mom, who also accompanied us in service, home with me straight away🙏😁 An unforgettable, wonderful evening😊

Everything is fine, but we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes between the intermediate course and the main course. The waiting time seemed very long to me, hence the deduction.

The multi-course menu was simply sensational! Every single course was a culinary revelation and a feast for the senses. The great ambience, the honest hospitality and the perfect service perfected the experience. An evening full of highlights that I would describe as absolutely outstanding and incomparable.

Auch um 21:30 im Gegensatz zu anderen Restaurants auf der Insel noch herzlich willkommen. Bei sehr gutem und bezahlbarenm Wein ein köstliches 5 Gang Menü bei angenehmer Atmosphäre.

Etwa zwei Wochen vor der Vergabe des Michelin-Sterns haben wir im Karrisma das 5-Gang-Menü genossen und hatten bereits die Auszeichnung vermutet. Aufwändige Küche, engagierter Service durch den Inhaber persönlich und ein Ambiente, dass durch die hübsche Tischdekoration und den Mix aus Klassik und Moderne lebt. Uns hat es an Nichts gefehlt.

On the occasion of my birthday, I decided to try this restaurant, on the recommendation of an acquaintance. Me, my parents and my girlfriend opted for the tasting menu with the largest number of dishes! A real disaster… Tasteless, emotionless and very boring dishes! The ingredients used were not clearly selected, for what is intended as a tasting menu. Only low quality dishes with common ingredients were served, just to fill a tasting menu. Service too slow and poor quality. At the end of the dinner, which was supposed to be a moment of celebration, we were all bored and wanted to finish that disastrous dinner as quickly as possible! Not even desserts saved the night! Lack of professionalism from the sommelier, who drank from customers' bottles, brought from the tables in front of everyone! In the end we paid €1000 and left completely disappointed and exhausted from that dinner, which turned into a nightmare. As a private chef and former chef of Michelin star restaurants, I do not recommend this pseudo fine dining, which is nothing more than a mediocre restaurant trying to pass itself off as a quality restaurant.

Personal and very friendly atmosphere. An absolutely good star performance in the kitchen. We'll be back: recommended!

We stayed at the Hotel Adara and enjoyed Easter dinner in the associated restaurant KARRISma. Chef Julian and his team cooked excellently and put together a seven-course menu that literally created a taste explosion in your mouth. The menu, including wine and drinks, cost a little over €150, but it was worth every euro.

We were at Julian Karr's for the third year in a row to enjoy his unusual dishes. A great experience, in a stylish ambience with excellent service. The wine recommendations reflect the wealth of knowledge and round off the delicious creations of each course, but you can also simply stick with one wine. Thank you for another successful evening with you.
