Simply good! We were at Carls 3 times, 3 times it was very good. Starter, main course and wine list are excellent. Service is super attentive and discreet. The dessert falls off easily.

The place it’s in a beautiful are in Cologne, with terrace outside. We chose the inside with plenty of space. We ordered the XXL pork knuckle with mashed potatoes and chucrut. We got Coca-Cola and surprisingly was big glass! And we shared, as was big portion and enough for us two. Price was good for the portion and waiters where very friendly! Really delicious

Popular entre los lugareños, que siempre es una buena señal. El pudín negro y manzana [Himmel und Aad] fue un excelente entrante y mi apuesta en la suela a la parrilla como plato principal dio sus frutos, ya que estaba delicioso y en los huesos. Excepcionalmente buena relación calidad-precio también! Muy recomendable incluso si el servicio era ligeramente al azar.

The staff was very friendly and on request they even cooked the schnitzel without any side dishes for half the price.

The range is varied - from handmade gifts to special culinary treats, you can find many beautiful things here. The quality of the food and drinks is very good. There is a great selection of hot drinks, including not only classic mulled wine, but also special creations. The stalls offer high-quality and often regional products, which makes the market even more attractive. What's particularly nice is that things are a little more relaxed and personal here than at the city's large Christmas markets. A small negative point, however, is that it can get very crowded at peak times. Especially on weekends, it is sometimes difficult to find a seat or to move comfortably through the stands. If you prefer something a little quieter, try visiting during the week or earlier in the day. Apart from that, the Cologne City Garden is a beautiful place - both for the Christmas market and for a relaxed walk or a cozy meeting in the café. Anyone looking for an alternative to the large, crowded markets will definitely feel at home here.

An extraordinary country house furnished with attention to detail. The food was very good and was served in a pleasantly short time. The couple who have been running the inn for a long time are extremely nice and you feel very welcome. I can highly recommend this beautiful restaurant because it stands out positively and is really a great experience (insider tip is also in the basement and the upper floor, there are many Cologne things to discover here!

Wir waren bei unserer Reise nach Köln 3 Mal im Brauhaus. Es hat uns super gefallen, die Bedienungen waren alle super nett. Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen und die Atmosphäre passt.

The food was good, a knuckle of pork. The prices are in line with those in Cologne's old town. The ambiance is quaint. Unfortunately, 200 ml of the half-liter wheat beer somehow "evaporated."
