I'm off to the triathlon in Cologne. All the Italians are absolutely full, where are the carbs coming from? 😩 Delicious vegan Bolognese at the Deutzer Brauhaus with non-alcoholic beer in a great atmosphere. You can also indulge in meat, but then only the sprint distance at lunchtime the next day. 😁

Simply fantastic, superlative beer. When an Italian promotes a place in Germany, he really had a great time. Well done 👍🏾👍🏾

I've eaten there several times. It's always a pleasure. The food is delicious, and so is the Kölsch beer. Gaffel is a favorite of mine anyway. But everyone has their own taste. I was there with a former colleague. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. There's a lunch menu and a seasonal menu. The prices are moderate. Everything was also very reasonable on other occasions when I've been there.

Medium food quality and bad service. The waitress is not nice at all and ask me to pay for the tip (mandatory), which should be optional. Not recommended unless you only want to have a drink.

Great place to visit, both friendly courteous staff and professional. Once they discover you are English they will speak back to you in English.

We were here on a Monday evening and sat on the terrace. Our section consisted exclusively of tables with benches, without backrests. There was very little activity around us, so the noise level was very pleasant. Our drinks and food arrived relatively quickly. Our server was friendly, but after the food arrived, he didn't signal often or even come to our table. So we had to use hand gestures to signal to someone else that we wanted something else to drink. The food was delicious and the portion was sufficient, but I had actually hoped for a bit more. Everything was relatively simple in terms of flavor. We weren't so impressed that we would definitely come back.

Great food, service, and beer. Thanks Peugeot! Unfortunately, we were abruptly ushered out by security/service (I couldn't identify it) at 10:45 PM. They could have been friendlier, after the six of us had dropped around €300 and had a great time. I'd be happy to go back, but I'm working on the sound during closing times.

Stopped by after Gamescom and spontaneously ate there. My goodness, what a delicious schnitzel and the fried potatoes were spot on! The pepper sauce was also super tasty. Only the hollandaise (is that how you spell it?) was definitely from a packet. Despite the place being packed, the service was very friendly, cool, and everything went really fast. Thank you!

After numerous stays in Cologne, we visited this inn again and again. Here, you get exactly what you expect when you visit a German brewery! The food was delicious and not too expensive, but rather reasonably priced. The Sauerbraten is authentic (with raisins and almonds), and the bratwurst is fresh. It's busy on weekends, but there are plenty of tables. We highly recommend eating at the Deutzer Brauhaus! But very important: Don't forget to order the pickle with your beer.

Review of Brauhaus Deutz We visited as external restaurant testers and would like to give honest feedback: Service: The reception was friendly, but the assigned service staff seemed somewhat disorganized. Furthermore, there was a certain amount of pressure from the beginning, which made the experience less than relaxing. Process & Service Details: The food was served very quickly – but all at once. As trained chefs, we know that serving appetizers and main courses at the same time should only be done at the express request of the guest. The practice of automatically refilling beer glasses as soon as the lid is removed should also be explained to guests – not everyone is familiar with this tradition. Food: Goulash soup: Very good, but only a stale piece of bread was served. Fresh bread in 2-3 slices would have been much more suitable. Schnitzel: Well done, but despite ordering "extra sauce," we didn't receive a larger amount. Fried potatoes: Unfortunately, they were burnt, which spoiled the overall impression. Conclusion: We would like to emphasize that this is not an insult, but rather constructive criticism. There is a lot of potential in your facility. We hope our comments are taken seriously and will visit again next year to see if any improvements are noticeable. We wish you continued success!

Good, home-style cooking, not my thing. I only recommend it with reservations.

German style and service, expect slow and angry waitstaff but that is part of the deal. The Koln style tiny beer is good, as well is as the food. If you don't like the traditional style outdoor beer garden I would skip this one. It's good otherwise a nice place to be in the sun, have some beer, beef or pork. Make sure you get the spicy mustard otherwise everything is fairly bland.

The service is fast and well-organized. The menu is extensive. The atmosphere is very pleasant. To the owner: Please look after your employees. They all do a great job.

We had a really good time, we are here for the Gamescom all the staff was really nice and kind :) they served us and gives a place with respect and kindness, hopefully we will come back some day!

I bought a cappuccino and a cheese roll at the bakery. €8.30... The cappuccino was very bland. The cheese roll was okay. Oat milk was €0.60 extra. Wouldn't buy from here again.

We stopped here with two families with children on a Sunday afternoon. The staff was very child- and family-friendly. The Angus steak was perfect, as were the schnitzels. The only downside was that the pork knuckle was pre-cooked. I don't recommend it. Overall, though, it was a good experience. Hence, 5 stars.

Quaint restaurant with ambiance. Huge, superbly organized, friendly service with a Cologne accent, really funny! Despite the crowd, the food arrived quickly. Hearty, delicious, and affordable! Be sure to make a reservation!

We had a very pleasant evening. The reservation worked perfectly. Despite the 30°C heat, we had a table on the terrace. The food was excellent, the meat tender, and the fried potatoes delicious. The service was great, and the Kölsch refills ran smoothly. The waiter was extremely friendly and always had a joke ready. Only the roaring motorcycle engines were sometimes annoying. But that's what happens when you stop off at a train station beer garden... We'll be back!

The snitsel was good. As a Belgian, the fries were not good at all. There was too much salt on top. After we mentioned this to the waiter, she didn’t know what we were saying (until we showed her the bottle of salt on the table) Other than that, unfortunately we couldn’t drink Riesling whine in a glass but only by bottle. The glass of wine that we took, was good. The environment was quite and peaceful.

Despite the packed house and hectic atmosphere, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food and drink selection is varied and appealing. I'd be happy to come back!

Although we did not eat here we stopped for a quick Kolsch beer, the prices were good and the staff very friendly. One guy who spoke perfect English was very helpful in telling us where to go for some local bars and pubs, he was very honest about the local area and told us what to avoid. Needless to say I won't forget him for his quite frank responses to our questions, actually made my day. Beer was fab and service 10/10

A good, professional brewery in and of itself. The food is good and plentiful, and the service is usually prompt and efficient. However, 10 days ago, we encountered a waiter who was truly unpleasant. Unfriendly, arrogant, and with an aggressive look. I've looked at the other reviews, and he seems to have been a frequent guest in some unpleasant situations. His predecessor on the early shift was incredibly nice, though, so I don't want to give him a bad review.

The Deutzer Brauhaus restaurant have a great location and it has lovely garden... It is at a elevated corner plot overlooking to the streets and just walking steps away from Cologne Trieangle, Hyatt Regency Cologne and Train Station... Interior space is also very very very great... High ceilings with big volume... The team is very helpful, friendly, professional and attentive... Loved the food, it is very nice real German food... We had spare ribs and pork tenderloin, they were wonderful... Especially the fried potates with pork tenmderloin were amazing, so the both sauces which were mushroom and BBQ sauces... Not maany tourists here; mainly local Germans; if you want to rest from busy tourist places with perfect German food and lovely team than this the place... Very strongly recommend Deutzer Brauhaus...

Large brewery in the Deutz train station. Typical brewery food that's truly delicious. Due to its size, it's quite busy, noisy, and can be a bit noisy. This brewery is a must-visit.

We were there yesterday before Amphi. Either my taste is waning or the food has gotten worse. Three months ago, a pork chop with fried potatoes was a no-go. This time, I had a cordon bleu with fries. The cordon bleu must have been from the freezer and straight into the fryer. The first fries were lukewarm, but the second portion was delicious, hot, and crispy. We'll see if I eat there again. The staff and atmosphere are still top-notch.

The "pasta" with salmon in wild garlic sauce with cherry tomatoes is a disgrace. The pasta was overcooked, there were chopped tomato pieces instead of cherry tomatoes, and the wild garlic sauce was in a taste crisis. The highlight was the salmon, as well as the goat cheese in the salad. When I pointed out the tomatoes to the staff, I was told that they were "probably all gone." When I later wanted to point out the pasta, I was told that I should have mentioned it earlier, otherwise there was nothing they could do. Never again. €21 pasta experience of horror. But nicely decorated. 👍

I went there to eat something to go. Fried potatoes with cheese. 15 minutes later, I started getting a stomach ache and threw it all up. I wouldn't recommend the food. It was a disaster.

One of Cologne's best knuckles of pork After a long train ride on the ICE without an onboard restaurant, we landed at Deutz station. The Kölsch supply was a bit slow, but the outdoor area was full (it was a Sunday), so the staff were also busy. I ordered a grilled knuckle of pork for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised. This knuckle of pork would have done any Bavarian brewery proud and is the best I've had in Cologne so far. Nice and crispy but not overcooked, plenty of lean meat, and served with a delicious sauerkraut on the side. The knuckle alone is worth the trip to Deutzer Brauhaus. Don't be fooled by the initial impression that this is a typical train station restaurant. It's very easy to reach by public transport, as Deutz station is an important transportation hub in Cologne.

We had (once again) the rudest waiter of all. The food was okay, but the atmosphere on the terrace was unfortunately spoiled by the "poster scene" at Deutz station. It was difficult to have a conversation at times.

"Our Deutzer" is unfortunately no longer what it used to be. Many good Köbese are gone, and those who are still there are apparently no longer allowed to speak to regular customers, let alone share a Kölsch. Yes, I know... alcohol during working hours... But none of them come around with a wreath and just put a Kölsch on the table anymore - on the house. Only tourists there, few to no regulars anymore. Food typical of a brewery, Kölsch is outrageously expensive these days.

Excellent place next to the train station, with a super-large restaurant and terrace. The service is more than adequate. The menu is available in German and English, and there's a Moroccan waiter who speaks Spanish. The 1,200-gram roasted pork knuckle was superb, the burger was very good, and the plate of assorted sausages and chicken with potatoes and bacon were excellent. I recommend a visit if you're in Colonia.

It's always worth stopping by for a beer. The ambiance is stylish for a brewery, especially on the outdoor terrace when the weather is nice. There are plenty of different seating options, which are assigned by the service staff according to the occasion. It should be mentioned in passing that the service staff also seem to feel at home here, as there is hardly any staff turnover. I've been coming here for years now, on a variety of occasions. The food ranges from Cologne snacks to steaks. There's something for every budget. Typical brewery fare. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the good work, "Team Deutzer Brauhaus."

I ordered farmer's brawn, which I didn't like at all. The fried potatoes were dry, and the brawn and remoulade sauce were nothing like what I'm used to. You could tell by the many leftovers on the plate, see photo. But the waiter didn't care when clearing the plate; he didn't even ask.

Great beer garden, absolutely first-class food. Attentive waiter. It was very loud due to the "fans" after the handball games at LANXESS. It was a no-go that the otherwise pleasant waiter decided on his own tip when paying in cash.

Unfortunately, a disappointing visit. We wanted to sit outside – there were plenty of free tables. Nevertheless, we were told to sit on a bench without a table, which was obviously unsuitable for eating. A man with a tablet first asked us politely if we wanted something to eat – to which we agreed. Scarcely had we sat down (at a free table) when a young woman approached and asked us to get up because "her boss" had told us to sit somewhere else. When the man returned later, he asked what we wanted to eat – but didn't take our order, apparently feeling "cheated." The entire staff seemed unfriendly, annoyed, and unmotivated – more like bouncers than hosts. The drinks were okay, the food was delicious – but the service was so unpleasant that we certainly won't be coming back.

A beautiful restaurant with a large outdoor area. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive. Ideal for lunch or dinner. We really enjoyed it and felt at home.

A lovely beer garden location. There are several parking spaces available, which are free with a code when eating. The service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. For me, the portions were relatively small, and the price was too high. Even for small meals, a small drink usually costs more than €10. It wasn't too loud, and it was easy to have a good conversation. The food and drinks arrived quickly.

I stepped off the Deutz train station platform and straight into the brewery. For me, as a northerner, it was a brief culture shock. I was greeted and seated in a friendly but unusually relaxed manner. The Kölsch beer didn't take long to arrive, and a new one was promptly served as my glass was nearing empty. My expectations were fully met – I'll definitely try the house food on my next visit. Thank you for the great service and the pleasant afternoon.

There's hardly a better place to while away the time waiting for a train. Clean, fast, friendly, good, and a large selection of food at reasonable prices. Worth a visit even without traveling.

The food is always delicious, especially the schnitzels are highly recommended 👍🏼 Depending on where you sit, it can be quite loud. Unfortunately, one of the meals was brought late, or only after requesting it. It's also a great place to party during Carnival 🎉🪩

Going to a brewery spontaneously... Is that a good idea??? Well... when you have to eat under time pressure, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Aside from that, the schnitzel my daughter ordered was tasteless. The fries didn't get a visit from Mr. Salt either due to lack of time. As for the savoy cabbage roll... okay... but there's room for improvement... the mashed potatoes were very good. Let's briefly talk about the drinks... perhaps revisit the ratio of water, syrup, and carbonation. Because nothing was right with the soft drinks. All in all... unfortunately, a disappointment.

The food was (mine was excellent), my wife's was good, but I've had better asparagus. I'm not including that in the rating, though, since it's a brewery, not an asparagus farm ;) The prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be back 👍🏻 keep it up.
