The food was average, the streaky cutlet was quite dry and the sauce was okay. The fried potatoes, however, were really great

We were there on carnival Saturday... pure Cologne carnival... top security, top music (modern and traditional Cologne carnival music) if you don't like Cologne music, forget it... it's not yours... great for everyone else. What is critical is that unfortunately there are not enough staff in the cloakroom! There's Kölsch Gaffel... it's ok, but you know which Kölsch you like... the audience was rather middle-aged, so a few 18-25 year olds, the majority of people were between 30 and 50... (at least on Carnival Saturday)... toilet situation was great, although the queue for the women's toilet was sometimes long. So for couples of carnivalists who like good Cologne carnival music, this is a top recommendation. After 11 p.m. it was no longer crowded...people make something of it but I'm not going until 2027, then it will remain my insider tip next year.

Unfortunately in our case 1 star is still too much. We wanted to drink a few beers to pass the wait for the train. Unfortunately we were neither noticed nor served here. Then we left again. There is no risk of repetition.

Absolutely Great for anyone who likes it rustic

We had reserved the table early in the year for a larger group. An additional increase in the number was also possible at short notice. We were welcomed very warmly and served very quickly. Food came for everyone at the same time and everyone enjoyed it. Very nice waiter and we felt very comfortable. Thanks!!!!

Just great. Everything is harmonious and fits, it is very tasty and everyone is very nice. Prices are also appropriate.

Warm Cologne brewery atmosphere. As a native of the Rhineland, I have enjoyed hearty Rhenish cuisine after more than 20 years. All of the Köbesse were helpful, funny and, despite the full house, they couldn't be bothered. Definitely worth a visit!

We went to the Deutzer Brauhaus based on a recommendation. A good and typical Cologne brewery. The service was quick and attentive, the supply of Kölsch was always guaranteed and the food was very good. What bothered us was the extreme noise in the house. It was very crowded and therefore very narrow and loud. Normal conversations with the other person at the table were a bit challenging. But all in all a good brewery!

The Cologne dishes are traditionally good and plentiful, the Kölsch is fresh and delicious. The service is quick and attentive, but does a Köbes have to be rough or cheeky these days? There's no need for a flippant remark if someone doesn't want alcohol!!! Two stars deducted for the ambience, because as pretty as it looks, when the store is full it is simply too loud to have a normal conversation due to the lack of insulation!

If you want a quick beer and are at Deutz train station, this is the ideal option. Unfortunately, the quality of service sometimes varies.

Before every visit to the Cologne Arena in summer, the nicest thing to do is visit the beer garden. Sometimes I meet friends there who are going to the concert... We eat together... and I stroll home without expensive tickets. Great team. Always good vibes!!! Good salads, good schnitzels. Love it 🤩

The food was sensational, I haven't eaten such a good schnitzel in a long time! The sauce can be served separately in a small gravy boat, great. Our Köbes (waiter) was also great, as cheeky as it has to be in a Cologne brewery. The brewery was filled to capacity, so it was a bit noisy. But that isn't "normal" either. The toilets were very clean despite the crowds. Price-performance was also okay. So highly recommended. Thank you very much for the great evening

The food was quite good, but overpriced. And €25 for the brewery pan is excessive. The menu included bratwurst and mettwurst. The bratwurst was mini and the mettwurst was cut in half, there was only half a mettwurst. We won't be coming back. There is better food in Cologne.

A beautiful, modern Gaffel Brauhaus in the middle of Cologne-Deutz train station. The service is attentive and fast, the menu has something for everyone and the cuisine is of good quality. However, it is very busy and therefore has a loud atmosphere. If you are looking for exactly that, you have come to the right place and can experience the Kölsche brewery culture in a more modern way.

Cozy place to enjoy a few beers

We used to enjoy going there often. Always had fun and were always treated courteously and had fun. However, when we were there at 3:30 p.m. and a number of Köbesse stood their ground and punished us with disrespect like persona non grata, for whatever reason, our enthusiasm had already tended to 0. At some point, when we asked, one of the waiters told us that we had to register. There was an unfriendly gentleman there who gave us the choice of sitting down to eat at the most uncomfortable two-seater table in the almost completely empty Soeisesaal. We then decided to leave this "hospitable" house and go for a delicious meal at the very accommodating Mexican restaurant opposite. Since Corona, gastronomy has really changed in a negative way. We will no longer go to the Deutzer Brauhaus. It's not like there isn't another local one in Cologne 🙈

But please not in this way. That's not inviting. And for two to eat at a 40cm cat table, even though there was a lot free, oh well

Typical brewery with a corresponding ambience, integrated over two floors in the train station building (therefore not quite as “cozy” as other breweries). Service is really very accommodating (with a classic "Köbes" character, but with a nice "multicultural touch") and quick, food is a little less "special" (rather little for the prices, but tasty). Reservations are recommended for weekends and meals, otherwise it is also ideal for a quick Kölsch in between.

We were there with 13 people in front of the laughing Kölnarena. The service was super friendly and fast, the food was good and the portions were sufficient. Price-performance is right.

First of all: The food tastes delicious, but! Yesterday I was here specifically for lunch during my lunch break to have a quick meal and that's why I chose a dish from the lunch menu, as these dishes are usually prepared and come to the table quickly. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. After 30 minutes I asked if it would be possible to get the food (mind you there were few guests) otherwise I would unfortunately have to leave again. The food came after I asked. First of all: I'm not a gourmet, I just wanted a quick, home-style lunch. Plates cold, gratin was therefore lukewarm/cool and very manageable, absolutely not enough for the price of 8-9 slices. However, what can't be true if you write on the menu: meatballs!!! (that's the plural) with braised onions and gratin, then as a guest I assume that there are 2 meatballs. That wasn't the case. There was only one meatball with onions and a little gratin (unfortunately it looks like more on the plate) and the whole thing for €11.90 was absolutely not right!!!! There is simply something on the menu that is not served. I also had to politely ask the waiter twice if I could pay because he forgot it the first time when the food came... Disappointing all around. I'm curious to see how the brewery sees this and takes a position. I look forward to feedback. As already mentioned, the food was delicious!

The food was absolutely ok as far as a brewery goes. The service could be a little more attentive, even if the restaurant was full. “Always keep your eyes on the guest” is something I learned myself many years ago. The ambience is also absolutely fine in terms of a brewery. However, the brewery is also large and therefore lacks a bit of coziness.

We were there too early for our table reservation. That's why we drank outside for so long and were then called to the table, even a little ahead of time. The waiters were very nice and responded quickly when the glass was empty. My goat cheese salad is recommended. The sauerbraten dish could be a little more generous, it won't really fill a grown man, but this dish is also very tasty. The cordon bleu was good and the fries were even very good.

This is an excellent restaurant with outstanding service. The dishes were incredibly satisfying, and I’ll definitely return if I have the chance.

Food was okay. But told us they would bring 5 glasses of tap water and were charged over 20€ for them. Then also were charged per butter almost 2€. We calculated an 85€ bill more or less and the bill ended up being 100€. Service was also very rude.

I haven't been there for a long time. The service was super friendly and nice. The Gaffelkölsch was at exactly the right temperature and you could tell it was running, it was tasty. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the kitchen. The bratwurst was fried to death and the fried potatoes were fine but they didn't knock me off my feet either.

A typical brewery (Brauhaus) in Cologne to enjoy typical food a Kölsch beer. The location is within the Deutzer TrainStation, from where you can also enter the location. The Kölsch is great and their food ok. Enjoy your meal in good and bigger company. Reminder : When you're done, don't forget to put the beer mat on your glass. If you forget, you'll get a new one!

Leider hat uns der Aufenthalt so gar nicht gefallen.Wir hatten reserviert und auch schnell unseren Tisch bekommen,der Kellner machte von Anfang an komische Bemerkungen und brachte mal 1 Kölsch oder dann mal 3,aber nicht immer für alle.Das Essen hat leider an dem Tag nicht geschmeckt und der Sauerbraten ist bestimmt schon Tage Alt gewesen.

Delicious food and Kölsch. The service was great, quick and very attentive

Showed up after the theater in a group of about 20 people. About 50 Kölsch were slapped on the table. Logically, they became stale relatively quickly. Two bottles of lousy white wine were then ordered. In total, within 90 minutes of being served at our table three times, we got a bill of over 300 euros for about 100 crappy, disgusting Kölsch and two crappy bottles of white wine. Then thrown out without mercy within 5 minutes so you can call it a day. Next time we'll drink in private. There are no longer any pubs on Schäl Sick where you can still sit after 24 hours.
