Wilma Wunder Köln in Köln

We had a relaxed and delicious dinner at Wilma Wunder yesterday. Although it was busy, the atmosphere was relaxed. This was mainly thanks to Samet, who served us. He was friendly, very attentive, polite, and humorous. Despite the large number of people, he kept a good eye on his tables and was always available. Since this is unfortunately rare these days, we were very pleased.

It's okay to do that on a Sunday. However, the seats by the door are very drafty.

The entire service team, including "our" employee Samet, is really very friendly.

We were absolutely thrilled with the wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully open and cozy. The drinks and especially the dessert were delicious. Alfred provided excellent service. Attentive, polite, and simply lovely. We had a truly wonderful time.

I went to Wilma Wunder on Friday evening and was unfortunately a bit disappointed. While the atmosphere is cozy and modern, the service spoiled my evening. In particular, waiter Alfred was rather inattentive and seemed impatient, which dampened the overall mood. The dishes were okay, but nothing special. All in all, it wasn't the evening I had hoped for.

Nice place, great location, very friendly service at the bar, the best Espresso Martini I've ever had from Mari at the bar.

It was really delicious. But most importantly, our server Leon was really nice and took excellent care of us. We'll definitely be back.

Alfred was incredibly accommodating and catered to all our needs. We were very tired and in a hurry, but the food arrived incredibly quickly and the friendly service saved our evening.

Unfortunately, babies and children are not welcome at the breakfast buffet. We wanted to reserve a table for two adults and one baby, but were told it was full. We found this odd, so we called again immediately using a different name and tried to reserve a table for two adults. Suddenly, we could come right away. Then we called again to reserve for two adults and one child, and were again refused. It's unbelievable that babies and children are excluded from the buffet. We won't be going there again because of this. The food and the atmosphere are otherwise good.

The ambiance is lovely, as is the food. Our waiter Alfred looked after us throughout the evening and was very attentive and friendly.

We finished off a lively weekend in Cologne with friends at Wilma Wunder Köln, and albeit being super hot (issues with the heating system), we were welcomed by Leon who was super friendly and pleasant.

This cannot be called exquisite dishes. But it is tasty, filling, and justified by the price. Fast and polite service, large spacious halls with tables on 3 floors.

We went there yesterday for fondue. Lovely place and extremely good and attentive service. Unfortunately, the fondue didn't taste good at all to any of us :(( Otherwise, everything was great ♥️

Wilma Wunder is a very cozy restaurant where you immediately feel at ease. You receive a friendly welcome, and you don't have to wait long for your drinks and food. The food is excellent, and the vegetarian/vegan options are very good. One star is deducted for service because it slows down a bit after the first order.

We were at Wilma Wunder today and have no complaints about the quality of the food or the lovely service. Alfred, in particular, provided excellent service! He's a very friendly waiter who knows how to provide customer-oriented service! The ambiance and music complemented each other perfectly :)

After 30 minutes of the sparse staff in the packed restaurant having ignored us at our table, we left. It's questionable why one waitress chatted outside with acquaintances the entire time (!). That's not what you call attentive service.

A very nice location on Friesenstrasse, great service and atmosphere. The numerous police operations outside on the Ringstrasse were a bit disruptive. But we had a good evening.

The only friendly person was the waiter. Even the owner was extremely unpleasant. The food is delicious, but the portions are disproportionate to the price; everything seems pre-made and just reheated. We ordered a Piña Colada, which is the highest price for tasty food, but it's really annoying when it's tasteless because it's been diluted to the brim with ice and that kind of stuff.

I went here for a meal with friends. Some of us ordered breakfast, and some ordered regular main courses. Unfortunately, all the main courses were cold, and everything looked very unappetizing. In my opinion, they definitely needed more salt and pepper. The service seemed overwhelmed at times. The ambiance, however, is nice and inviting. The value for money is correspondingly poor, as the uninspired presentation (uncut avocado) and small portion sizes make you feel a bit cheated.

There were six of us. We enjoyed it very much. Alfred served us nicely.

I had a disappointing brunch experience a few weeks ago (my poached egg was hard-boiled and my avocado was hard and unripe) but I’m giving 3 stars because when I sent my food back, they were nice and let me order something else on the menu instead. I hope the kitchen was just having an “off” day…

€111 for three adults and a toddler for a Sunday breakfast. Quite expensive! The service wasn't particularly friendly, there weren't any plates available at the buffet due to the large crowd, the buffet wasn't replenished quickly enough, the quality and selection left much to be desired, and for that you pay almost €28 per person! I'd give four stars for the ambiance; the rest is highway robbery!

We left the restaurant extremely confused. We wanted to order food and didn't realize that it was only a buffet on Sundays. The waitress was so incredibly rude that we were taken aback. She didn't even flinch, didn't smile, and just rudely informed us that it was only a buffet that day. She's in the wrong profession... Please adjust your service. This is how you lose customers!

A large restaurant remains a large restaurant, even with the lights dimmed (unfortunately, so dimly that we could barely read the menu). We ordered four different dishes: Croissant Burger - okay Sauerbraten - okay Konjac Noodles - tasted okay, but the portion was too small. The extra goat cheese didn't go well with it at all; there are definitely better, more harmonious alternatives. The Flammkuchen arrived last; the zucchini was still partially hard, and the dough was bland. The mango lemonade unfortunately didn't taste like mango at all, the Aperol was too watery, and all the drinks had far too much ice. Those with gluten intolerance have limited options. A shame.

We were guests at Wilma Wunder today and would like to express our sincere appreciation. Alfred's service was outstanding. He impressed us with his extremely courteous, friendly, and attentive manner, and contributed significantly to our feeling completely at ease. A truly dedicated and warm-hearted employee – thank you so much!

The most beautiful café in Cologne. It's located right in the heart of Cologne and offers traditional German cuisine. I highly recommend Himmel und Ääd! The service was very friendly and attentive. The drinks were a delight. Thank you, I'll definitely be back.

Disappointing Visit – Hygiene and Service Issues Unfortunately, our visit was very negative. During our stay, we noticed mice in the dining room. We informed the staff, but their response was unfortunately unprofessional – there was neither an apology nor a proper response. Furthermore, they had already started packing everything away around 9:30 p.m., and the exit was partially blocked. Overall, an unpleasant experience that would not encourage us to return.

A very disappointing and shocking visit! During our stay, two mice suddenly ran through the dining room – absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant. When we brought this to the staff's attention, the waitress responded with, "Well, what am I supposed to do? Should I stab them with a knife?" – completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing or taking the incident seriously, we were treated rudely and even driven at. There was no apology, and despite the intolerable conditions, we had to pay the full price. We are truly appalled by the way guests were treated and the lack of hygiene. This should not happen in the restaurant industry!

The portions are way too small for the price. I paid about €17 for a Caesar salad that barely had any salad. The pasta portion was also incredibly small. The tarte flambée comes in a regular size. Nevertheless, we had to get something to eat somewhere else afterward.

We were there for brunch. The food was okay, the ambiance was okay—it's modern, but okay. However, the service left a lot to be desired. They didn't ask for any other drink requests or anything like that.

We went there for brunch. Unfortunately, it was too crowded, and the really friendly staff couldn't keep up. Half the buffet was always empty. The sausage wasn't from the butcher, and there was very little selection. Drinks have to be paid for separately. For that price, you should expect more.

We went there for breakfast this morning. The food was delicious, but it was very cold inside, and our service was abysmally bad. Very unfriendly and irritating (no thank you, please, or any other word in general)! When we finished our food and were out of drinks, we were ignored for about 20 minutes until we asked another waitress if we could pay. When we finally paid our waitress, we wanted to give her a €5 cash tip, which she rudely refused. Unfortunately, this was a truly unpleasant experience! All other staff members were very friendly and accommodating.

The Kölsch tastes particularly good here :D

We were there with a large group, and the service was great. We also really enjoyed the ambiance, and the food was fantastic. We had brunch, and the buffet selection was extensive and truly delicious. The coffees were very good. BUT the non-alcoholic cold drinks were awful. A bottle of water costs over €8. A single glass of water costs almost €4. And not a single one of the lemonades/spritzers tasted good (several people in our group tried each of the different drinks, and everyone agreed). We suspect that each of the lemonades and spritzers was simply made with a thick splash of syrup. It all tasted extremely artificial and reeked of a lot of sweetener, and if you made the mistake of accidentally using a straw to drink the syrup floating at the bottom first instead of stirring everything, you'd end up with nothing but sweet water. Wilma Wunder is expensive. It's justified for the good food. Unfortunately, it's absolutely not for the tasteless lemonades and spritzers and the exorbitantly expensive water. The ambiance and food were great - the hot drinks we had were also very good - but stay away from the spritzers/lemonades.

The shop itself is really nice and would therefore have a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, that's where it ends. The service and food were disappointing. The staff seemed overwhelmed and at the same time arrogant. We hardly experienced any friendliness or attentiveness, and the food was also completely underwhelming. It's a shame, because the location actually had a lot of potential.
