We spontaneously got a nice table for four people.

Some time ago I was a guest at a wedding on the Igling Castle grounds. Since we had previously eaten at the inn here, I was looking forward to the day. Unfortunately, we were all extremely disappointed: the taste of the food was almost inedible and, as if that wasn't disappointment enough, some of the wrong food was prepared. The waitresses and the innkeeper were visibly overwhelmed and acted annoyed throughout the evening. The toilets were not designed for a large celebration. All in all, I cannot recommend the Schlossstuben for celebrations. The food in the inn, on the other hand, was good at the time.

Wir waren am 28.12.2024 gegen 19:00 Uhr mit 4 Personen im Gasthaus zur Post und nicht zufrieden. Essen war zu salzig u. halbwarm serviert. und bei einem von den Bieren war das Verfallsdatum der August 2024

Been there several times, sometimes in a small group, sometimes in a large group and can fully recommend it. Also very nice owners. You should definitely make a reservation on public holidays. My husband always eats sauerbraten here because it doesn't taste as good anywhere else. In summer you can also rent the barn for parties.

Nice restaurant, there are many different kinds of schnitzels. Their products are mostly from local producers, as I understand. Schnitzels were nice and I liked the wheat beer. The place itself is nicely decorated. Employees were friendly.

The ladies' toilet is a stereotypical train station toilet, smells awful, dark and disgusting. It's unbelievable that this is even accepted by the owner and staff. Food was lukewarm to cold, not well cooked (schnitzel breading was partly still "raw"), or cooked for two days (roast), strange cheese patties, burnt onions in it that are slithering on top, long waiting times even though we were there very early, later guests were delivered before us, not enough service staff for the rush, there was no reception at the entrance, why make a reservation if everyone goes in without one anyway. The ambience, the furnishings, really impressive, it's a shame that it's so poorly used. It was our first visit and probably our last.

Was there for the first time today and I'm really disappointed. Based on the good reviews, I expected more. Had cheese spaetzle, small portion for the price and not really my taste. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

There was live folk music playing that evening. Definitely great for tourists who like that. But it wasn't my case. I think it's generally more of a tourist restaurant. The food was good. But unfortunately the roast pork had no crust.

I was in this restaurant recently and I must say that the experience was really pleasant. The service was impeccable: friendly, attentive and always available staff. The food was excellent, with well presented dishes and quality ingredients. The atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and with attention to detail, perfect both for a quiet dinner and for a special occasion.

Were there on Friday lunchtime and ate sea fish and half a carp, both with potato salad. Terrific! Always my pleasure
