Wunderbares Restaurant! Einfach großartige Küche. Direkt am Ufer des Main gelegen. Hierher möchte man immer wieder gerne zurückkehren!

Wir waren zum dritten Mal dort. Jedes Mal nehme ich andere Freunde mit, alle sind begeistert von der Auswahl der Speisen, vom Wein und von der Lage und dem Service.

Sehr nettes Restaurant, sehr geiles Essen und super nette Bedienung.. alles in allem einfach zu empfehlen .

Kleine aber feine Karte, sehr sehr leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service

Wir waren an einem Feiertag da und hatten mittags einen Tisch für abends reserviert. Das war gut so,denn es ist immer sehr voll. Zu Recht. Das Essen ist außergewöhnlich gut, bitte behalten Sie Ihren Koch!!!! Ich esse und koche äußerst gern, das hier hat wirklich Herzblut; großartig! Am nächsten Tag waren wir gleich wieder hier. Service war mal so und mal so, aber so ist es eben.

Typisch fränkische Gerichte ( nicht nur Fisch), immer sehr schmackhaft zubereitet und zum wirklich fairen Preis. Ist nicht umsonst häufig ausgebucht, man sollte also besser reservieren. Freundlicher und flinker Service. Bei schönem Wetter viele Außenplätze an der Mainpromenade und auf dem Balkon. Drinnen Ambiente traditionell und 'urig', könnte vielleicht mal eine Auffrischung vertragen.

War in den letzten Jahren 1-2 mal jährlich da und war bisher immer zufrieden. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Lage direkt am Main ist super. Kann es weiterempfehlen

Extra aus Würzburg angefahren 19.30 Uhr bereits die Küche geschlossen. Mehr als unüblich und auch online nicht ersichtlich. Schade. Komme dennoch gerne wieder...

Leckere regionale Küche. Das Ambiente ist sehr, sehr Nostalgisch. Netter Service und Preis -Leistung passt.

Gute fränkische Küche mit gewissem Schwerpunkt bei Fischgerichten. Schön, dass es das noch gibt. Bei Stil und Einrichtung des Gasthauses fühlt man sich um Jahrzehnte zurück versetzt. Aber gerade das hat auch seinen Charme. Direkt am Main gelegen mit schöner Aussicht auf den Fluss. Service sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und fix.

Gute Hausmacher Küche - lecker zu einem guten Preis und direkt am Main

Gute fränkische Küche und aufmerksamer Service. Das Ambiente ist nicht mehr das modernste, aber das fande ich jetzt nicht so schlimm.

Service war prima, das Essen entsprach den Erwartungen, lecker und ansprechend, Ambiente ist urig. Direkt am Main und auch ein bisserl eine Zeitreise.

Traditionelles Gasthaus mit gemütlichem, rustikalen Ambiente. Wir wurden sehr schnell und freundlichst bedient. Angenehmer und ruhiger Gastraum, in dem man sich auch gut unterhalten kann. Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch auch reichlich. Das beste Kalbs-Wienerschnitzel, das ich seit langer Zeit serviert bekam. Der Karpfen war ebenfalls frisch und knusprig - wie man es sich wünscht. Hätte man nicht besser machen können... Die Lokalität mit ihren Speisen ist auf jeden Fall immer wieder absolut empfehlenswert - danke hierfür!

Das Essen war hervorragend, das Personal super freundlich und der Ausblick auf den Main herrlich. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen der noch Qualität für sein Geld möchte.

Die Fischerbärbel : Fränkische Gastlichkeit mit traditioneller fränkischer Küche. Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit werden hier noch groß geschrieben Die Speisekarte bietet so manches Schmankel und das stets auf hohem Niveau Seit mehreren Jahren besuchen wir das Restaurant ,wenn es uns in die Nähe verschlägt und sind immer sehr zufrieden So auch diese Jahr wo uns ein Amus-Gueule serviert wurde Es war vortrefflich . Eigentlich wie alles, was aus der Küche kommt . Ein traditioneles Gasthaus ,das durch Schlichtheit überzeugt. Die Fischgerichte und das Schnitzel vom Kalb sind ebenso zu empfehlen wie Schäufele oder Käse Spätzle. Danke für den Einsatz von Küche und Service . Wir kommen gerne wieder 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Das Restaurant Fischerbärbel ist immer ein Garant für fränkische Gastlichkeit. Freundlichkeit und gute Küche werden hier noch großgeschrieben. Die Speisekarte ist gut aufgestellt und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Frische Salate und selbstgemachter Kartoffelsalat sowie frisch platierte Schnitzel sind beispielhaft. Das reichhaltige Fischangebot von Karpfen über Forelle bis hin zu Meefischle sind besonders hervorragend. Bei uns in Ostwestfalen Lippe sind Schweinebraten und Fischgerichte von der Speisekarte verbannt. Darum genießen wir in der Fischerbärbel die Frische und Vielfalt, die bei uns leider durch Burger und TK Ware ersetzt werden. Die Fischerbärbel ist immer einen Besuch wert.

Wir waren in der Wirtschaft essen und hatten das Schäufele – einfach hervorragend! Das Fleisch war zart, die Kruste schön knusprig und die Beilagen wunderbar abgestimmt. Man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird. Die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder! 🍽️😊

Grundsätzlich schreiben wir keine Rezensionen die negativ ausfallen da wir auch Gastronomen sind, aber an unserem letzten Besuch hat eine große Frechheit stattgefunden. Mit dem Chef verstehe ich mich persönlich sehr gut, der aber leider nicht da war. Essen alles hat super gepasst. Zum Problem: Ich wollte bezahlen in bar. Die Dame hat vor meinen Augen gezählt und sagte passt plus wir haben 15€ Trinkgeld gegeben. 3-4 Minuten darauf kam der Service und sagte mir ich habe 20€ zu wenig gezahlt nach der Aussage das alles stimmt. Die Situation war so unangenehm das ich die 20€ einfach zahlte da wir Konflikte nicht mögen. Wir hätten einen Kassensturz verlangen können aber haben es gelassen, da zu der Zeit viel Betrieb war. Wir waren wöchentlich zum Kalbsschnitzel essen da und seit dem Ereignis im Sommer 25 sind wir nicht mehr gekommen. ps viele grüsse an den großen Kellner & viel Gesundheit.

The food is excellent and plentiful, whether you prefer fish or meat. Everything is exceptionally good. And the cakes are delicious! The service staff is very friendly and efficient. It couldn't be better!

A fantastic restaurant on the banks of the Main River. The menu leaves nothing to be desired. The staff are really cheerful and very customer-oriented. We'll be back! Where else can you still get "Meefischli" these days...?

We were there yesterday with a VdK (Association of German Culinary Arts) excursion from Stuttgart, with 50 people. The diverse food we had pre-booked was very tasty, portions were generous and very attractively presented, prices were very reasonable, and the service was very friendly and attentive—it couldn't be better! Bravo! Highly recommended!

Certainly, the restaurant, with its beautiful location on the Main River and just a few meters from the shipping company piers, is a real tourist magnet. Nevertheless, I can't understand some of the reviews here. I always received friendly service, was mostly very satisfied with the quality of the food, and found the prices very fair. Of course, I was occasionally turned away without a reservation during peak season, but never in an unfriendly manner. Overall, considering all factors, I can only give it a very positive review.

Great view of the Main from the terrace. We had the fish and chips with homemade potato salad and remoulade. We'll be back to try the fish with green sauce.

The fish with horseradish and dill sauce was a delight, as was the homemade mashed potatoes. The service was excellent and left nothing to be desired. A definite recommendation!

Here you'll find them: the Meefischli. These are small and extremely delicious fish from the Main River. And, as expected from the name "Fischerbärbel," there are also numerous other fish dishes here in Veitshöchheim, right on the Main River. For those who aren't into fish, there are also a few meat dishes. We chose the aforementioned "Meefischli" and drank them with a delicious Pinot Gris. Good choice!

Yes, absolutely. Nice, friendly service, good value for money, delicious food, a very good selection of drinks, outdoor seating just 20 meters from the Main River on a pretty promenade with beautiful summer flowers. A visit is definitely worth it and feels like a vacation. I ate local Meefischli (fish), which were breaded and deep-fried. You eat them head and tail, so whole. A good Franconian dish, served with extremely tasty homemade potato salad and remoulade, which also went well with the small fish. The wines from the Meintzinger winery in Frickenhausen are excellent. And I've always enjoyed Oechsner beer specialties. Also important: The restroom area is spacious, modern, and clean. That's how it should be, but it's by no means standard everywhere. Keep up the good work! I'll be back anytime, thank you!

We were there without a reservation, the shoulder of pork was very tasty, the prices were completely ok and the service was very nice.

Great place right on the Main, with very good and inexpensive food

I ordered Schäufela (pork shoulder), dumplings, and cabbage. It was hard and cold inside. I complained because it didn't taste good at all. The chef told me it was made three days ago and then heated for 15 minutes today. There was no apology or discount.

Excellent Franconian cuisine, as well as a very good regional fish menu with sea bream, trout, and carp. Everything is very tasty. Good Franconian wine. Absolutely excellent value for money. Highly recommended. Even though the restaurant seems a bit dated, the food is delicious, whether it's meat (schnitzel) or fish (Meefischli). And the evening sun is even more beautiful on the terrace on the first floor.

We were just there, and unfortunately, the waitress, Pa., was very unfriendly. The lady was very annoyed that a disabled person couldn't order quickly because he stutters. I don't think it's good to treat disabled people like that.

I made a spontaneous reservation for three people on Mother's Day and was able to enjoy it. Very attentive staff, a fantastic view, and amazing, fresh food. It might become a regular. Picture to follow 😉

I can recommend this place because it's good value for money, the location is very nice right on the Main and is also easy to reach for people with walking difficulties, especially directly from the shipping pier. The restaurant was very full, but the service was friendly and patiently responded to special requests. For those who eat less: the normal portions are very rich.

Wir haben kurzfristig einen Tisch für zwei Personen reserviert und auf der oberen Terrasse gesessen. Von dort hat man einen schönen Ausblick . Der Service war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Wir hatten beide Fisch gegessen. Beide Gerichte waren super lecker . Preislich, vollkommen okay 👍🏻 wenn wir nochmals in der Gegend sind , kommen wir gern wieder 😉

Went for dinner. At first I thought the price was right. Until I saw the price of the so-called asparagus salad. So a small plate, about 3 asparagus spears cut, 2 to 3 lettuce leaves. A little bit of decoration. The taste of the dressing was only guessable, so nothing at all. The main course was cheese spatzle. Too fat without Schlotz (sauce). Only spaetzle on a plate, cheese on top and grilled in the oven. It's a shame for the goods. The price for a small salad is 13.90 and cheese spaetzle is 10.90. What's the ratio?

Were in Veitshöchheim by ship yesterday, unplanned. Since it was raining heavily, we wanted something to eat and drink in the restaurant. But apparently you are taken or not based on your looks When we came into the dining room we were greeted in an unfriendly manner with the words "What do you want here without a reservation? We don't have any space, try again at 2 p.m. maybe there will be a table available then." But there were a lot of places available. Then 8 people came in suits and ties and the ladies in dresses. One of them said we are 8 people but we haven't reserved space? The waiter of course she could take the table over here. 🤔🤷‍♀️

We always love having a relaxed meal here with family and friends. Very good selection of fish dishes and other dishes. The service is top and we are always easily assigned a free table after a short reservation. Hopefully the institution will remain intact for a long time.

Rustic restaurant with an excellent schnitzel and the potato salad is to die for.

Very good, authentic and rustic restaurant right on the Main. You can see the ships passing by from the window. Service was very attentive, yet unobtrusive and very friendly, we felt very well looked after. We had the veal courdon bleu with potato salad and the redfish with fried potatoes - both very tasty and absolutely reasonable in terms of price, we will definitely be back!

We are happy to travel a little over 100km for the carp. The ambience is what we would like for a Franconian restaurant and there is nothing wrong with the service. And when you are served a wonderful baked carp directly on the Main, you have arrived in Franconian heaven. It's just a shame that there aren't as many restaurants like the Fischerbärbel anymore.

Nice restaurant on the 1st floor with a terrace and a view of the Main. Attentive and friendly service. The food is served relatively quickly, looks attractive and is extremely tasty. The only downside is the portion size. It's no use asking a good price and not getting full.

The staff is extremely friendly and competent, the magicians in the kitchen cook with love and passion. The number 1 stop in Veitshöchheim when it comes to good, home-made Franconian cuisine. We were there today with 12 people and had pre-ordered 3 geese including stuffing for 11 people. One person ate a la card. The taste was delicious but unfortunately it definitely wasn't 3 geese. And at 8:45 p.m. the last round started. We had reserved the table for 7 p.m. It's all a shame, but next year we'll probably have to go somewhere else. By the way, the service was very nice, because she couldn't say anything about the performance of the kitchen!

Very good location with a view of the Main. Generously furnished and good opening times! The menu is not overloaded, but everyone is sure to find something suitable. (Burgers, schnitzels, fish dishes are highly recommended) The service was very friendly and the food was nicely prepared and tasty. Clear recommendation!
