Ich habe Zanderfilet bestellt und der Fisch hatte viele Gräten. Nicht empfehlenswert bei Fisch.

Tolles bürgerliches Essen und eine sehr nette Atmosphäre. Auch unser Hund bekam sofort frisches Wasser. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Wir waren am Pfingstmontag dort zum Mittagstisch. Unser Gesamteindruck: -sehr unfreundliche Bedienung, sehr lange Wartezeit; erst auf Ansprache gab man uns dann endlich die Speisezettel!!! Bis dato wurden wir glattweg hin nicht beachtet. Der für unseren Tisch zuständige Kellner hinterließ auf uns einen Eindruck der völligen Überforderung. Zwischenzeitlich bekam (vermutlich der Koch) mehrere cholerische Wutausbrüche, sehr zur Verwunderung auch anderer Gäste. Mit professionellem Geschäftsgebahren hatte dies rein gar nicht's zu tun. Wir haben den Verantwortlichen nun mehrere Tage Gelegenheit gegeben, Stellung zu nehmen, bis heute jedoch keinerlei Reaktion!!! Wir werden dieses Essenslokal jedenfalls nicht mehr aufsuchen!!!.

Leider kann ich keine Sterne vergeben, da wir schlichtweg nicht bedient wurden und nach einer längeren Wartezeit gegangen sind. Ja es war Pfingstmontag und viel los im Außenbereich aber die Bedienung war zu dritt. Ein Kellner rennt wegen einer Cola raus und ohne irgendwas wieder nach drinnen. Wir konnten keine Bestellung abgeben weil wir nicht gefragt wurden und einfach stumm an den Tisch für 2 Personen gebracht wurden. Sehr schade.

Leckeres Essen und nette Bedienung

Ein hervorragendes Erlebnis sowohl kulinarisch als auch atmosphärisch.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen mit 12 Personen hier. Die Bedienung war nett und freundlich und die Getränke wurden schnell serviert. Auch die Wartezeit auf das Essen war angenehm kurz. Das Essen war gut, aber es fehlte überall an Gewürzen. Den Abschluss bildete ein Eisbecher, der jedoch zur Hälfte aus Schlagsahne bestand.

Wir hatten einen wirklich tollen Besuch im Ratskeller Veitshöchheim. Das Essen war sehr lecker und schön angerichtet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den hervorragenden Service – das Personal war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Man hat sich direkt wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und stilvoll. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und können das Restaurant absolut weiterempfehlen!

Wir haben am 22.09.2025 unsere Hochzeit im Ratskeller Veitshöchheim gefeiert und hätten uns keine schönere Location wünschen können. Der Saal war wunderschön hergerichtet, hell, stilvoll und sehr gemütlich. Besonders die Kombination aus den warmen Holzelementen, der festlichen Tischdekoration und der angenehmen Atmosphäre hat perfekt zu unserem Tag gepasst.✨ Auch unsere Gäste haben sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Die Räumlichkeiten boten genug Platz zum Feiern, Essen und Tanzen, ohne dass es unpersönlich wirkte. Alles war sauber, gepflegt und liebevoll vorbereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir das Personal: Der Service war einfach perfekt: aufmerksam, freundlich, professionell und immer zur richtigen Zeit zur Stelle. Dadurch konnten wir unseren Hochzeitstag vollkommen entspannt genießen. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für die wunderschöne Begleitung und die tolle Atmosphäre. Wir sind vor 17.30 Uhr am Samstag gekommen und haben zum Glück noch einen Tisch bekommen. Dafür vielen Dank an den sehr netten Service des Ratskellers. Wir konnten sehr schnell bestellen, dass essen kam auch sehr schnell. Laut meinem Opa, war das die beste Spargelcreme Suppe die er seit langem gegessen hat. Ich hatte zu meinem Schnitzel mit Kroketten und Championsauce noch extra Kroketten bestellt. Diese kamen leider etwas später. Dies lag aber daran, dass das Personal sehr viel zu tun hatte. Sie sind praktisch zu den Tischen gerannt. Es war wirklich schön, vor allem weil der Service sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben hat und sehr aufmerksam war trotz des hohen aufkommens. Das Essen war von allen auch sehr lecker.

Von einem Schnitzel im Restaurant Ratskeller erwarte ich mehr als die fertige TK Variante schnell mal in die Fritteuse... schmeckt einfach nach toten Tier und die Panade ist kompakt. Ich kann das immer nicht verstehen, warum manche Gastronomen so etwas nicht selber bereiten können: ein frisch paniertes und schön soufliertes Schnitzel ist Mindeststandard für jeden Koch der seinen Gästen auch was bieten möchte

Ich bin hier hin und hergerissen. Einerseits sucht man solche deutschen Lokale, andererseits ist die Karte einfach wieder zu gewöhnlich. Die Speisen und ihre Zubereitung ist gut, aber irgendwie mag mir das ganze nicht über den Durchschnitt hinausgehen.

Ab 20:30 gibt‘s nichts mehr zu Essen. 😪

Familien Essen. Leberknödelsuppe und Sauerbraten. Nicht gerade umwerfend.

Ich hatte ein super leckeres Essen. Die Gerichte waren wunderschön angerichtet und die Portionen großzügig. Freundlicher Service und eine umfangreiche Speisekarte. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wie gewohnt alles super. Gute Qualität, freundliches Personal, schönes Ambient. Einfach vorbildlich. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder hierher.

Nach einigen Jahren mal wieder hier gewesen und weiterhin empfehlenswert. Tolle Auswahl an Gerichten, sehr lecker und aufmerksamer Service 👍

Es fiel mir echt schwer aus der Speisekarte was zu finden, denn alle Gerichte lasen sich voll lecker. Letztendlich fiel meine Wahl auf die Medaillons in Championrahmsauche mit Spätzle. Ein wahrer Genuß an Essen. Ich komme gerne wieder, wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin. Nach 2 Jahren wieder in der Gegend und dieses Mal war es Schweinemedaillons mit Kräuterkruste, Rahmwirsing und Gnocchies mit Bratenjus. Das war Gaumenschmaus mit Glücksgefühl. Leider kann man nur 5 Sterne geben, denn in Wirklichkeit sind es 10 Sterne.

Der Zwiebelrostbraten / Arg. Rumpsteak waren sehr gut. Die Chefin ist ebenso einen Besuch wert. ;-) Grüße aus dem Chiemgau

Ich hatte mit meiner Familie (15Personen) für den ersten Weihnachtsfeiertag reserviert - da meine Tochter (4) an Zöliakie leidet hatte ich mich im Vorfeld der Reservierung per Mail erkundigt, ob sie eine Kleinigkeit (Pommes, Bratkartoffeln o.ä.) glutenfrei hätten - per Mail bekam ich vom Inhaber Hr. Heilmann die Antwort das ich gerne etwas glutenfreies vor Ort bestellen könnte - dort angekommen fragt ich expilzit nach glutenfreien Pommes - was die leider völlig "ahnungslose" Bedienung schon überforderte - Sie kam mit der Antwort "Pommes sind immer Glutenfrei" wieder zurück, nachdem sie sich noch mehr solche Sätze leistete, war mit klar das ich für meine Tochter hier níchts zu essen bestellen werde. - Vielen Dank ans "Weinrestaurant Spundloch" welches den Abend für meine weinende Tochter noch einigermaßen rettete! Dann zum Essen allg. Ich hatte Spinatknödel die leider nach so gut wie nichts geschmeckt haben und einen Rosenkohl welcher bereits grau und schon totgekocht war - Reh und Soße waren in Ordnung - leider waren die Gerichte auch nur maximal lauwarm. Alles in allem kann ich, besonders für Menschen mit Unverträglichkeiten oder Allergien, nur Abraten - hier wird alles erzählt um die Leute ins Restaurant zu bekommen, das es hier um die Gesundheit von Menschen geht ist augenscheinlich egal.

Wir gehen immer wieder gerne dort essen. Im Sommer sitzen wir gerne draußen im Winter in dem sehr gemütlichen Gastraum. Die Speisen sind vorzüglich und der Preis ist immer angemessen für die Qualität und die Menge, nur zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich manchmal sogar witzig . Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch

Delicious arugula salad with shrimp fritters. And for dessert, a perfect warm chocolate cake with red berries. A wonderful time and a perfect meal.

Köstlicher Rucolasalat mit Garnelenpuffern. Und zum Dessert ein perfekter, warmer Schokoladenkuchen mit roten Beeren. Ein wunderbarer Abend und ein perfektes Essen.

Wir waren 8 Personen als kleine Geburtstagsgesellschaft, der Service top, die Fleischgerichte auch sehr gut, nur von meinem vegetarischen Gericht war ich mehr als enttäuscht, das geht besser! Die Salbeibutter war ohne Salbei, die Gnocchi schwammen darin wie in einer Suppe, was die großen getrockneten Tomatenstücke drin sollten war mir nicht klar, die Birnen waren ohne Geschmack und der Rucola über das Gericht drüber mit Parmesan, eine nicht ganz gelungene Komposition. Würde mir da eine große Verbesserung wünschen, denn ich würde gerne mit großen Gesellschaften im nächsten Jahr wiederkommen, das Ambiente und die Umgebung sind dafür einfach super gut geeignet

War ein sehr leckeres Essen im gut eingerichteten Lokal. Der Kellner war sympathisch, zuvorkommend und lustig.

Seit längeren gehen ich hier immer mal wieder Essen, da das Essen enorm gut ist und zu meiner Freude auch Wildgerichte anbieten, mit Wildfleisch was wirklich in der Region geschossen worden ist. Die Saisonkarte ist der Hammer, mit passend zur Saison sehr leckeren Gerichten und definitiv ein Blick wert. Der Service ist immer nett und zuvorkommend, sowie absolut aufmerksam sodass man fast gar nicht warten muss bis man bedient wird. Ich habe auch meinen Hochzeit in den kleineren Saal im 1. OG gefeiert, der auf mit einen Fahrstuhl erreichbar ist. Auch hier war der Service perfekt, sowie ein Angestellter nur für uns abgestellt der sich perfekt um alles gekümmert hast und es eigentlich keine Absprachen mehr gebraucht hat. Zudem auch die Möglichkeit gibt zwischen den Mahlzeiten oder den Gängen in den direkt angeschlossen Rokkogarten zu gehen(hierbei müssen natürlich die Öffnungszeiten des Gartens beachtet werden) um dort nochmal wirklich schöne Bilder zu machen. Auch die Beratung vor der Hochzeit bezüglich des Essens ist wunderschön gewesen mit einen Chef der sich alles an Zeit nimmt die notwendig ist um alle Fragen und Probleme aus dem Weg zu räumen. Zudem eine sehr gute Beratung was die Gerichte betrifft macht . Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen und das Essen genießen.

Ich war heute das erste Mal hier Essen. Die Speisekarte liest sich sehr gut. Wir wurden nett empfangen. Jedoch wurden während des laufenden Betriebes einige Tische und Stühle verschoben, was ich als Gast ziemlich störend empfand und auch die lautstarken Privatgespräche der Kellner haben mich eher gestört als interessiert. Das Essen war hervorragend! Große Portionen zu fairen Preisen.

Really good food at very fair prices. Small menu with good dishes. The Cordon Bleu was handmade. The service is very friendly and truly attentive. The Ratskeller is exactly what I'd like the ambiance to be: cozy and not too dark. There are lovely touches like matching napkins and cutlery that feel good in the hand. The upholstered leather benches invite you to sit and relax. The only thing that I didn't like was the menu's presentation, which is a kind of shabby collection of leaflets. I'm looking forward to my next visit when I'm in Würzburg or Veitshöchheim.

We had a family celebration here on Sunday. Service was okay, food was above average, and the ambiance wasn't particularly noteworthy. What was worth mentioning, however, was the brusque and simply cheeky manner of one (older) waitress, aka service professional. Absolutely unfriendly in several respects. A small example: "If you don't take the high chair now, it's gone and you can get it yourself from back there." -> It wasn't in the way at all. Or: We had several appetizers (goat cheese with arugula, almost lovingly prepared): I was still eating - when the overly motivated lady was about to leave with half-full plates, because the main course (wedding dinner - not even remotely spicy, rather blandly seasoned) was now ready. -> If you're in a hurry or want to finish work at 1:15 PM, don't accept any guests!! I'll spare you further details - because this was simply not worthy of a restaurant with such standards. Absolutely not a recommendation - there are several other, more accommodating locations in Veitshöchheim.

The pork medallion was very dry and tough, and the spaetzle seemed dry and from the day before. The salad lacked oil. Better to go somewhere else next time.

We were here with a group of seven and were served very quickly. The food here is excellent, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is very friendly.

The waiter was extremely attentive, fulfilled our every wish and took great care of us. The food was pretty good. I'd be happy to go back.

Despite several simultaneous events, all of our guests' food arrived almost at the same time.

Unfortunately, the steaks were tough and the zander was much too dry, what a pity!

Stopped here on our company outing. The food was served quickly. The steak was overcooked and dry in my opinion. It was average, but nothing earth-shattering. The dessert served was very tasty, though. All in all, I can still recommend the Ratskeller.

Unfortunately, the trout was much too salty and the spinach was stringy.

Delicious food, but unfortunately, on a beautiful summer day in July (a Friday), you weren't allowed to sit outside, even though the tables and everything were set up. The interior could be made a bit more comfortable. It's rather chilly.

We visited the Ratskeller on New Year's Eve! Despite the large number of guests, the staff was extremely friendly, and the food we ordered arrived very quickly, and all nine people at the same time! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food, and we celebrated happily until 10 p.m.! In our experience, the Ratskeller in Veitshöchheim is always a very good choice. A restaurant where you feel at home!

Nice place in the castle park to enjoy a glass of wine. The asparagus carpaccio was delicious. I recommend it.

We visited yesterday with a group of tourists. What can I say? Great food, no pre-made sauces, everything freshly cooked. Top quality. Despite three large groups, the service was prompt and, what's more, very courteous and friendly. We'd love to come back.

We went there recently for dinner, and it was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location is very bright and spacious. I would come back anytime. I love good German cuisine, and you can definitely get it there.

The fact that we haven't been here for a while was probably a mistake. We were there last week for a family celebration with 14 people and were completely satisfied. Everything worked out according to the previous arrangements (very professionally!), the food was at the table exactly at the agreed time. The staff was super friendly and always present, but not intrusive. You are also well advised here with children. As agreed, the children's food was brought to the adults' starters and they received it first. You would think that this goes without saying, but we experienced it the other way around at Easter (somewhere else!). The children, who were very hungry (because of the long waiting time), were the last ones, and when all the adults had already had their food, the waitress came and said that the children's food was not possible as ordered. Maybe it could have been noticed an hour in advance and the waiting time wouldn't have been delayed even further. That wouldn't have happened here in the Ratskeller. The operators have children themselves and it shows. We will definitely come back. We also found the price to be absolutely reasonable for the good quality and not overpriced. You should probably make a reservation if you come here

We arrived by ship, the way to the restaurant is not too far and easy to reach even if you have difficulty walking. Very friendly service, good food, the prices are okay for the level! But highly recommended!

Not my first time there. The food tasted very good. The price of the liver on the menu was also reasonable at €16.80. I'm not a big eater, but the plate looked a bit empty when it arrived. Three small pieces of liver with two apple slices hiding the liver and onions. They were served with five rosemary potatoes the size of cherry tomatoes. Unfortunately, I left the table still hungry. My recommendation is to increase the price to €22.50, but then order a normal portion, because the food there is good. The roast pork with dumplings and red cabbage is definitely filling.

The food is very tasty. A little higher priced, but as long as the quality is good, everything is good. Service has always been top notch. The restaurant has its own charm. A reservation is necessary. One thing remains to be said (if a larger company is there at the same time) it could be a little louder.

I can't get to Tucher-Bräu. That's why I didn't eat anything.

The food was very good and can only be recommended. A big compliment to the kitchen here. Unfortunately the service wasn't very friendly. We were there as a large group and were treated very rudely by the service staff. In addition, the water and wine glasses in particular were only partially clean. Streaks from the dishwasher shouldn't necessarily be visible. The general atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and feels very cozy. However, the toilets definitely need to be renovated. The condition is very poor and the cleanliness unfortunately left a lot to be desired. Here you feel more like you are in a public toilet than in a nice Bavarian inn.

Roast venison on Epiphany: dry meat covered with a slimy, slippery ready-made sauce. Brussels sprouts and bread dumplings completely overcooked. We left the plates - the waitress didn't think to ask us if we didn't like it...

Beautiful restaurant with excellent service and delicious food.

The Ratskeller in Veitshöchheim is a huge restaurant, which unfortunately doesn't manage to create the ambience of a cozy restaurant. The Christmas decorations were very minimalist. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing either. You could see at first glance that convenience food was popular and tasted better than canteen cuisine. The quick, friendly service was positive.

We went out to eat at Christmas and because it was very busy, the schnitzels weren't perfect. Otherwise everything was great.

Very competent and attentive staff - a wide range of dishes at reasonable prices. Powerful kitchen team - dishes are served together - placed on the plate in a visually appealing way and taste very good. We would love to come back.

We celebrated our civil wedding there with 25 people. The champagne reception outside was very nice, and the service person who was responsible for us was also very competent and friendly. BUT the food (buffet) was a disaster. The entire buffet wasn't particularly visually appealing. The chicken with the supposed chili pumpkin crust only had a piece of pumpkin on the meat, there was nothing crispy. The pike perch was a disappointment in terms of taste and I had three bones in one tiny piece. Almost all of the fish went back into the kitchen. The salad could not be removed from the bowl as the leaves were huge. But the worst thing was the beans and bacon. They weren't cooked and were floating in water. Almost all of the food was returned, but no one asked if anything was wrong. Unfortunately, we let Mr. Heilmann talk us into eating during the meeting. Everything sounded very high quality and appetizing. We actually had other food suggestions, which were all rejected! But the worst thing of all is that there is no response whatsoever to my calls, emails and callback requests (which I sent through Ms. Heilmann). We paid properly and on time. On our side, we acted fairly, but on the Ratskeller's side it's not the fine English way! Very disappointing! For the Heilmann family we were just a small fish, but for us it was supposed to be a very special day!

Went to the Ratskeller today as a large group. The food was delicious and everyone was able to eat together at the same time. The place is cozy and located on a nice square, but we were very disappointed with the food. I had the chanterelle cream soup and a pancake filled with chanterelles. Not bad in taste per se, but very greasy and heavy. However, when I got outside, I felt very nauseous and threw up everything. My table companion also suffered from cramps and a 'heavy' stomach all evening. I think we were unlucky with our choice of dish… too bad!
