We lived in Rimpar for several years and were often in the Ratskeller on special occasions. We were always very satisfied.

Super friendly staff and the food was excellent

We celebrated our civil wedding there with 25 people. The champagne reception outside was very nice, and the service person who was responsible for us was also very competent and friendly. BUT the food (buffet) was a disaster. The entire buffet wasn't particularly visually appealing. The chicken with the supposed chili pumpkin crust only had a piece of pumpkin on the meat, there was nothing crispy. The pike perch was a disappointment in terms of taste and I had three bones in one tiny piece. Almost all of the fish went back into the kitchen. The salad could not be removed from the bowl as the leaves were huge. But the worst thing was the beans and bacon. They weren't cooked and were floating in water. Almost all of the food was returned, but no one asked if anything was wrong. Unfortunately, we let Mr. Heilmann talk us into eating during the meeting. Everything sounded very high quality and appetizing. We actually had other food suggestions, which were all rejected! But the worst thing of all is that there is no response whatsoever to my calls, emails and callback requests (which I sent through Ms. Heilmann). We paid properly and on time. On our side, we acted fairly, but on the Ratskeller's side it's not the fine English way! Very disappointing! For the Heilmann family we were just a small fish, but for us it was supposed to be a very special day!

Went to the Ratskeller today as a large group. The food was delicious and everyone was able to eat together at the same time. The place is cozy and located on a nice square, but we were very disappointed with the food. I had the chanterelle cream soup and a pancake filled with chanterelles. Not bad in taste per se, but very greasy and heavy. However, when I got outside, I felt very nauseous and threw up everything. My table companion also suffered from cramps and a 'heavy' stomach all evening. I think we were unlucky with our choice of dish… too bad!

I went yesterday with my wife, children, and in-laws. We sat in the courtyard outdoor seating area. Service was terrible. We were greeted by a rude and unfriendly lady. She seemed to think she was doing us a favour by allowing us eat in the restaurant even though we had booked in advance. The food was mediocre at best and much of it re-heated. To top off the experience there was a rat running around the courtyard and under our table at times. The rat was bad but the worst part of the experience was the terrible attitude of the lady that served us. I’d avoid this place at all costs. There are nicer restaurants nearby.

We found the food very disappointing, contrary to the reviews. Food was way too salty. In addition, the staff started smoking next to the terrace, right next to where we were eating. Not nice.

We celebrated our wedding in the Ratskeller about two weeks ago and what can I say? Service top. Food sensational!! My husband and I will come over for dinner sometime in the future. 😊

True art for the taste buds! ♥️ A little more expensive in some aspects, but you definitely get the quality you pay for! We really enjoyed the Argentinian rump steak. I particularly liked that we were asked how we wanted the steak and there was the option to choose between fries or a large salad as a side dish! I ordered the steak medium rare while my companion ordered rare, both steaks were perfect! The rocket salad with prawns in a crispy potato coating is also highly recommended, the prawns in particular were extremely delicious! The service was very attentive and friendly. Tip top service!

The food is tasty, relatively inexpensive. There is a park and a castle nearby, so after eating a meal it is worth going for a walk.

Always fresh and tasty dishes, very nice staff, nice atmosphere. Real recommendation especially for wheelchair users, flat ramp at the entrance, tables with a good height and suitable legs, elevator to the disabled toilet.

The fries were unseasoned and the sauce wasn't just ketchup from the bag. The salad was bland and the worst I have ever eaten. The cordon bleu was more of a roll rather than thin. All ready-made dishes and nothing homemade. The operation was very confusing and chattered nonsense. The waiter even wanted to ask us for a tip given the quality, which he didn't like. The only good thing was that he looked like the rapper Olexesh.

We were recently invited to a wedding reception in the Ratskeller. The food was good, but the rooms and furnishings left a lot to be desired. Weeds at the entrance, dirty windows, cobwebs and holes in the tablecloths and stained chairs. I didn't expect this for a restaurant that presents itself as upscale.

I had the pleasure of being booked as a DJ for a wedding in Ratskeller Veitshöchheim and renting out my photo mirror. The location is simply fantastic! The atmosphere was perfect for a wedding - cozy and elegant at the same time. The staff was super friendly and really tried to make sure everything ran smoothly. The acoustics in the room are excellent and of course that makes a big difference for the music. My photo mirror was a hit and the guests had a lot of fun with it. The combination of historical backdrop and modern equipment made the wedding unforgettable. I can only warmly recommend the Ratskeller Veitshöchheim – a top location for weddings and events!

In a short sentence: good all around The volume in the hall could be reduced with technology - but service from an experienced lady with a Berlin accent was very good and attentive. Food came quickly and hot even though the restaurant was full. Gladly again

I visited the Ratskeller as a guest at a celebration. The older waitress was very unfriendly. Ok, some are into it, in other countries restaurants are deliberately opened with this concept, which they then knowingly decide to do. Inappropriate in the case of a wedding reception. Especially since the orders weren't even processed properly... Forgotten drinks, dirty tea water, something floating around in the water and that before the tea was added to the water. During the night, parts of the ceiling in the women's toilet came loose due to a defect in the men's toilet above, which shortly afterwards resembled a small reservoir. Some covers of computer sockets, blind covers were missing or damaged, smoke detectors were just hanging from the wall by the cable, etc. Made a bit of a shabby impression. The food was okay after all.

We come to the Ratskeller often and have never been disappointed. Everything was perfect at our son's wedding too. The beautiful courtyard garden right next door is perfect for this.

Cannot recommend the restaurant for a celebration. There were 27 of us and we ate poorly. Everything was too dry because the buffet was prepared for too long and at the proud price of €42.00

Last weekend we were confirmation guests in the Ratskeller. Stately price, 45 euros per place setting. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The service was more than unfriendly... well, but at least the food wasn't good. At the main course buffet there was either the meat or the side dishes...unfortunately there was a delay! A pity

The food was ok, nothing more. The soup broth didn't see any meat, you had to look for the ingredients with a magnifying glass. The waiter was extremely polite; when asked about a “light wheat” the counter question was: “What is that supposed to be?” Wheat with water or what?” When I tried to switch to wine, even the simplest questions about wine couldn’t be answered. So far so bad. The highlight, however, was the answer to the question about caffeine-free coffee: “We don’t have it, you don’t drink wine without alcohol.” Another problem that seems to be more common is the breakdown of the women's toilets. At four!!! For the parties present, there was only a disabled toilet/changing room for all female guests. As an alternative there was the public toilet nearby castle park. Given what is quoted here as the “price per cover”, you would expect a little more.

Very good Franconian food in a traditionally elegant environment. We were here with a senior group for lunch during the week. Everyone was very satisfied. The service is friendly, attentive and friendly. On the first floor there is a spacious wheelchair toilet that can be reached by elevator. We'd love to come back.

The trout with spinach is not recommended. Unfortunately, the mountain of spinach leaves on which the trout's head lay was cold. The trout was oversalted and filled with way too much rosemary. Too bad😖

We were looking for a location where we could celebrate our civil wedding in a small circle. We came across the Ratskeller in Veits through my maid of honor because her sister had celebrated here in the large hall and had only positive things to say. We had inquired by email and shortly afterwards the call came from H.Heilmann. We had already noticed on the phone how competent the boss was. We made an appointment to plan the menu and he responded to all of our wishes and concerns (we had people with gluten intolerance + histamine intolerance) & he gave us alternatives. We had a waiter available for lunch and he was just TOP (unfortunately I can't remember his name). A very nice and courteous funny man!! Conclusion: I could write forever... It was a great day with really good food, great staff and great boss!! We always enjoy coming as guests :) Ps: they are all very CHILD FRIENDLY too!

Nice atmosphere, nice, dedicated staff. Unfortunately the onion roast was not medium, but rather well-done and over-salted. Likewise the liver dumpling soup. Pork fillet with spaetzle was good.

Duck gray, not crispy. Venison goulash so tough you couldn't chew it. When the complaint was made, all they said was: “yes, I’ve heard that many times before.” Sauce and schnitzel not homemade. A no go when it comes to prices. Unfortunately we were very disappointed and won't be coming back after many years.

The duck was an absolute failure, skin was gray and flaky! Plus the food was cold and then at that price!

Underground food. Cider soup tasted already fermented. These croutons had probably been floating in the soup for hours. Brussels sprouts cooked far too soft in venison goulash. Latte Macciato prepared with milk powder. Way too sweet. If I want sweet coffee, I can use sugar. All in all a bitter disappointment

Was here for dinner with a friend today. We enjoyed it very much and the waiter was great. The ambience is appealing and the leather-upholstered benches are very comfortable to sit on. One point deducted for the food, because unfortunately nothing creative is offered for vegetarians, and there is no colorful salad plate as an alternative.

Een leuke locatie, aan het pleintje van het raadhuis. Het ontvangst was ietwat behoudend. Alsof we ongewenst waren. Consumpties werden prima op tijd bezorgd. En de schweinsbrat en de cordon blue lieten niet lang op zich wachten. Het was wat vlak van smaak. De kaas in de corson blue was minimaal en erg vlak van smaak. Op zich gezellig voor een avond maaltijd op een doorreis, maar echt enorm sfeervol is het er niet. De prijzen zijn wel prima. Aan de andere kant zit je er wel tussen de gewone mens. En niet tussen de Michelin sterren blaters.

Der Ratskeller in Veitshöchheim war uns schon länger ein Begriff aber als Hochzeitslocation sind wir ehr zufällig darauf aufmerksam geworden. Wir haben ein gutes halbes Jahr vor unserer Feier einen ersten Besichtigungstermin vereinbart. Dort hat uns sowohl die Familie Heilmann als auch der Saal an sich von Anfang an überzeugt. Besonders Herr Heilmann hat mit seiner sehr lebhaften und sehr anschaulichen Menügestaltung alle unsere Fragen und Bedenken aus dem Weg geräumt. Zusätzlich hat er uns mit wertvollen Tipps zu vielen Details der Feier unterstützt. An der Hochzeit selbst, hat sich das Team wirklich eindrucksvoll um die Gäste gekümmert und ist allen Bestellungen schnellstmöglich nachgekommen. Etliche Gästen haben diesen Eindruck uns gegenüber bestätigt. Unser Buffet bestand aus drei unterschiedlichen Gerichten, die allesamt ausgezeichnet geschmeckt haben. Der exzellenten Beratung verdanken wir, dass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei war. Besonders hervorzuheben war das Roastbeef, das auf den Punkt gegart und butterzart war. Alles in allem, war unsere Hochzeit ein voller Erfolg, an dem die Familie Heilmann sowie ihr komplettes Team einen erheblichen Anteil hatten - vielen Dank dafür!

Mit einer Gruppe von 10 Erwachsenen und 6 Kindern zu Gast gewesen. Alles war stimmig und freundlich.

Gutes leckeres essen, die Preise sind für manche Gerichte etwas teuer bzw. dafür die Portionen zu klein. Das Lokal ist ganz gemütlich, das Personal super freundlich und fix.

Weil’s bis jetzt immer sehr lecker war nahm ich dieses Mal einen Freund mit; was soll ich sagen, wir waren beide ziemlich begeistert! Die herbstliche Auswahl mit dem Kürbis Thema, ein Traum. Der Zander war schön knusprig angebraten, das Risotto drunter geschmacklich hervorragend, das war schon großes Kino. Abgerundet durch ein Eis zum Nachtisch waren wir glückselig. Dazu noch der freundliche kundenorientierte Service, absolut empfehlenswert! Danach noch ein Spaziergang im Garten, wie sollte man einen Tag schöner verbringen….

Waren dort auf Hochzeit von Freunden. Sehr schöne Lokation zum Feiern. Essen war top. Es wurde sogar auf Unverträglichkeit mit Gluten geachtet.
