A popular restaurant. Outdoor seating in the Biergarten is of course the number one choice. Nonetheless if it's not a sunny day it is quite gloomy with tall trees and a hill just beside. I'm afraid the service, although seemingly fine, is not as attentive as one would expect. We had no one come by after the meals were served to enquire as to their suitability. Later we waited inordinately long to pay, after asking twice. And the menu, in our case, was already out of two items at 1830 in the evening. The dishes are very good but not extraordinary. And it is fairly pricey, but no more I suppose than comparable restaurants (Euro 133 for four people, no starters, only main course, no alcoholic drinks, espresso at the end). All in all, a worthwhile experience but not five stars and not even four.

Let me put it this way. After a successful stadium tour, nine of us stopped in there – unannounced. The tables were pushed together in no time. The boss took the drinks, two were missing (blamed on a colleague), that's unacceptable! The colleague was shitting so loudly you could hear it outside, that's unacceptable! The food arrived, fries were missing – it can happen – the food was incredibly delicious and the portion was large – top-notch – the fries were a dream 😋. All in all, good German cuisine, top value 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 The boss should work on their service and how they treat colleagues. We'll be back 👍🏼

Un posto incantevole sulla spendida cittadina di Friburgo, ideale per un caffè o una apericena per i bellissimi tramonti. Da ritornarci in estate sicuramente.

Im Urlaub war ich mit einem Kumpel 2x in „Das Quartier“ und beide Male wurden wir positiv überrascht. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienungen sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.

Incredibly tasty and very large portions. We came spontaneously on Sunday evening and were given a very friendly welcome. On Sunday the kitchen closes at 8 p.m., we weren't there until 7:15 p.m. and got everything including dessert, even though the kitchen had theoretically already closed for dessert, that's hospitality, thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

Baden cuisine. The food tastes very good and is beautifully prepared. The only drawback: the portions are almost always too small. Unfortunately you won't really get full...

While searching for a place to stay in Freiburg, we came across this small but charming inn. The rooms are very individually designed: nestled between wooden beams and old walls, they created a cozy atmosphere; we especially wouldn't have expected a bathroom with a bidet. Everything was very clean, and we even received a bottle of water as a welcome! We were served enthusiastically and friendly by a young team at the inn; we lacked nothing. The wild herb salad with goat cheese was extremely delicious. My pan-fried schnitzel was very tasty, although the spaetzle were unfortunately watery. The liver was very well seasoned, and the fried potatoes were also excellent. The hot raspberries with foam and cream were a perfect finishing touch. The prices are a bit on the high side, but reasonable. The breakfast in the morning exceeded our expectations; it was like a breakfast buffet at your own table; nothing was missing; we could even order extra eggs. Our daughter had to take an exam and wasn't very hungry for breakfast; she was even allowed to pack a snack to take with her. We'd love to come back!

Simply a lovely, rustic, cool pub... And the hosts are just as they should be... open... warm... communicative... people-oriented... We'll be back... the two bikers... cheers to the host 👍😉😅

Been here for the first but definitely not the last time. Great Mother's Day brunch, large selection of lovingly prepared dishes. Very nice and courteous service. We enjoyed the great garden in wonderful weather!

The inn impresses with its friendly and courteous staff. The ambience is rustic and designed in an unusual way - really an eye-catcher. We ate asparagus with schnitzel and once with rump steak. Both were perfectly prepared. The taste of the food was excellent – ​​a real treat for the palate. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the steak in the end, which wasn't well received by the staff - I'm sorry about that!🥰 A real insider tip for everyone who appreciates a special flair. If I lived nearby, I would be here regularly.

What a great local! I like how it's set up! It has such a special feeling. I come from Thuringia and was visiting friends. This allowed me to visit the local. And what can I say? Sooooo friendly staff. The food is so incredibly delicious and the portions are simply huge! The price-performance ratio is unbeatably good! Big praise to the chef, but also to the very courteous waiter. A young man with long hair if I remember correctly. Keep it up! Eating from a wooden board is very unhygienic, food is too salty, drinks are 0.2 for children, handmade spaetzle never. Definitely cannot be recommended. South urgently needs the new chef. The food was again miserable. I'm very sad about this because I would like to come for lunch.

The seating outside is lovely, right by the canal under the chestnut tree. Service was good. We had salad and cheese spaetzle: both mediocre, the trout was good.
