Very great restaurant with delicious, hearty cuisine. We were there with the whole family and had different dishes. From the Bürger to the onion roast to the Jägerschnitzel and Cordon Bleu, everything was delicious. The nice gentleman from the service was also very attentive and had a few nice sayings. We'd love to come back.

We were there on December 30th. eat there and it was wonderful. First class service. Very nice staff and a perfect kitchen. 5 course menu plus wine accompaniment. It was outstanding.

I had dinner this Friday evening with my wife in this very nice restaurant. There were no more tables available, but the waitress offered to seat us with 2 other people at a table and they agreed. We ate really well, everything was excellent, especially the grilled chicken. The waitress speaks French and was very friendly and funny both with us and with the German couple who were with us. I highly recommend this restaurant, but remember to make a reservation if necessary.

Nostalgic, lovingly furnished and decorated. Very friendly owner who is available to give advice. Helped us in several things. We particularly liked the breakfast. Strong and good coffee, fresh rolls, several types of jam, 1 type of sausage and 1 type of cheese, bags to take something with you, a soft egg cooked to perfection. Everything done with care. Nice place a little outside the centre, frequented by locals. For lunch they offer a good menu, at affordable prices and super generous portions. Fast service, recommended

Since I began my studies in Freiburg in 1993, I have often been to the stinging nettle! It's still a cult favorite for me and my student friends to this day! When I visit Freiburg today, I always try to combine it with a visit to the Nettle! It is associated with many beautiful memories! And I love the burgundy sauce there and always order an extra portion because I think it's so delicious! For me the classic is turkey schnitzel with fries and burgundy sauce! And the nice thing is, it still tastes like it did back then! Our multiple attempts to get the recipe failed again and again! It is always relatively full there and it is advisable to reserve seats! The menu is now even more varied than before and you can eat there quite cheaply! Spaghetti Bolognese is a classic and is a huge portion! Unfortunately I now find the lighting too dark! On my last visit last week I found it really a bit gloomy when sitting in certain places and I think that's a shame because I want to see my food itself! But otherwise everything was as usual and I will continue to visit the nettle!

A really great restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was great and the atmosphere was just great. I was there recently with my family and ordered the steak. The staff was super helpful and friendly, you can only feel comfortable there! Highly recommended! Try the kitchen. I can only recommend it!

I wanted to eat something with my friend and the waiter said we can't eat here because we are 12. However, you can also go out to eat in restaurants during the day at the age of 12. But we still had to go.

Very good food and generous portions. Very friendly service. It's a sports restaurant, so it's not super comfortable now. But it has plenty of space. Since it wasn't full when we were there, the noise level was okay.
