Einfach nur Top, mehr kann man hier nicht sagen. Jeder der in Freiburg ist sollte hier vorbeikommen. Auf dem Bild Wildschwein vom Chef empfohlen sehr lecker

Köstliches, traditionelles Essen. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit bei der Auswahl der Gerichte. Es gibt auch eine hübsche kleine Außenterrasse. Ich kann einen Besuch nur empfehlen :)

Also wer Schnitzel mag ist hier genau richtig! Sehr leckere und große Cordon Bleu (Classic und Schwarzwälder). Perfekte Bratkartoffel und Spätzle. Service 1a. In ruhiger Umgebung gelegen. Biergarten. Gerne wieder!

Für mich als Italienerin, die es gewohnt ist, spät und langsam zu essen, ist es ungewohnt, frühzeitig reservieren zu müssen, aber hier ist das überall so. Wir waren um 21 Uhr fertig und die Letzten, und kaum waren wir weg, schlossen sie. 🤪 Die Spätzle mit karamellisierten Zwiebeln waren köstlich! Ich esse gerne große Portionen und hätte die Portion gerne geteilt! Der Salat mit Joghurtdressing (leicht säuerlich) ist überall erhältlich und sehr lecker! Er wird normalerweise als Beilage oder Vorspeise serviert. Der Wein war gut (wir bekamen einen roten Schaumwein, der unserem Bonarda ähnelte). Sehr empfehlenswert! 🌸

Vor meiner Ankunft in Freiburg wurde mir dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfohlen, daher stand es ganz oben auf meiner Liste. Im Hotel angekommen, erhielten wir eine Liste mit Restaurantempfehlungen, und dieses Restaurant war wieder dabei, also beschlossen wir kurzerhand, es zu besuchen. Eine hervorragende Entscheidung! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Schnitzel ist erstklassig und hat eine ordentliche Portion; ich kann das Kapitän-Schnitzel nur empfehlen. Meine Frau war begeistert vom saisonalen Spargel. Die Terrasse ist sehr schön und vom Stadtzentrum aus bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Zögern Sie nicht, das Restaurant zu besuchen; versuchen Sie, einen Tisch für draußen zu reservieren. Sie können aber auch ohne Reservierung vorbeikommen. Wenn ich ein Restaurant in Freiburg empfehlen müsste, wäre es dieses – ohne jeden Zweifel. Schauen Sie sich am besten vorher die Öffnungszeiten an.

Super Schnitzel und Gutedel aus dem Fass

Wir sind schon "Stammkunden", soweit es die Entfernung von Leverkusen aus zulässt. Die Essensqualität ist super, die Bedienung schnell, humorvoll und sehr freundlich, Terrasse und Innenraum ein Träumchen: " Wir kommen gern wieder!'

Gute regionale Küche zu fairen Preisen. Die Portionen sind großzügig und der Service ist schnell. Allerdings wirkte das Personal etwas unorganisiert; wir wurden innerhalb von 15 Minuten etwa fünfmal gefragt, ob es uns schmecke.

Der eine Stern Abzug tut mir fast Leid, denn: Das Essen war super. Portionen sowie Geschmack super und man weiß hier, wie das Steak perfekt wird. Auch preislich gibt es nichts zu meckern. Warum der Abzug: Zum einen wurden trotz digitaler Erfassung einzelne Punkte der Bestellungen vergessen bzw. Kleinigkeiten haben sehr lange gedauert (obwohl genug Mitarbeiter da waren). Zum anderen war es insgesamt sehr laut, was auch an der großen Gruppe neben uns gelegen haben kann, aber ich habe in unserer Gruppe relativ schlecht verstanden - was natürlich sehr subjektiv ist. Dennoch: Für das Essen kommen wir bestimmt wieder und das ist das Wichtigste!

Dieses Restaurant war einfach perfekt. Die Portionen waren großzügig und sehr schmackhaft. Das Cordon Bleu und der Kartoffelsalat waren unserer Meinung nach hervorragend! Vielen Dank für das Essen.

Tolle Restaurant-Kneipe. Sehr freundliches Personal und tolle Organisation. Trotz vollem Haus hat man ein Herz für Kinder und die Schnitzel sind einfach richtig lecker. Es beweist wiedereinmal das Gutes Essen von Restaurants mit kleinen Karten kommt. Ja, es ist weniger Auswahl aber dafür haben sie Ihrer Gerichte im Griff und können tolle Qualität zum fairen Preis liefern. Die Auswahl muss man halt schon vorher Treffen, und bei 'Schnitze'l ist man hier gut aufgehoben.

Ein wahrhaft traditionelles Restaurant.

Ein tolles Restaurant für deutsche Küche und gute Getränke. Es empfiehlt sich, rechtzeitig zu reservieren, da es fast immer voll ist.

Leider sehr enttäuschend für die hohen Preise. Rindergulasch war mit Schwein gemischt und extrem übersalzen. Das Fleisch sehr trocken. Die Bedienung war jedoch sehr nett.

Sehr enttäuschend. Die Kartoffeln waren übersalzen und halb roh, das Fleisch zudem nicht richtig durch. So sollte kein Essen serviert werden. Leider absolut keine zufriedenstellende Erfahrung.

Zum Glück reserviert, war gut voll. Essen hat super geschmeckt und der Kellner war super freundlich und hat uns sehr gut beraten. Gerne wieder.

Dieses Restaurant gehe ich sehr gerne besuchen. Man wird dort immer sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient, das Personal ist wirklich sympathisch und aufmerksam. Die Qualität des Essens ist im Verhältnis zum Preis gut, und man kann dort entspannt essen. Besonders empfehlen kann ich das Mittagsangebot, das sich wirklich lohnt. Vor allem donnerstags, wenn Schnitzel-Tag ist – das ist meiner Meinung nach eine sehr gute Wahl.

Essen war ungewürzt irgendwie. Unsere Dreiergruppe hat gesammelt nach gesalzen.

Schnucklig und gemütlich gestaltet. Aufjedenfall vorher anrufen und reservieren. Der Feldsalat ist ein Traum! Wir waren bereits zum zweiten Mal hier und das Essen ist überragend gut. Auch der Service war hervorragend, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Jederzeit wieder.

Wir waren am Rosenmontag ohne Reservierung da. Trotzdem haben sie für uns einen Platz gefunden. konnten uns trotz vollem Lokal sehr gut unterhalten. Bedienung war über die ganze Zeit äusserst freundlich, zuvorkommend, schnell und sehr aufmerksam, tolle Leistung! Essen trotz vollem Resaturant sehr schnell auf dem Tisch. Cordonbleu und Schnitzel waren sehr gut, top. Spätzle und Sosse waren gut, hätte ich aber etwas mehr erwartet (Kritik auf sehr hohem Niveau!), hängt aber wohl auch damit zusammen, dass ich als 🇨🇭 von Knöpfle ("Spätzli") ausgeangen bin, da kann das Restaurant aber nichts dafür 😄😄😄 Besten Dank und alles Gute, wir kommen wieder 👋

Ein großartiges Restaurant! Der Besitzer ist super freundlich und die Atmosphäre ist warm und einladend. Ich hatte vorher noch nie ein richtiges Cordon Bleu gegessen und kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Badische Hausmannskost trifft auf entspanntes und geschmackvolles Interieur und sehr aufmerksames und nettes Personal. Die Preise sind in Ordnung und die Portionen angemessen. Es gibt auch eine kleine Terrasse, die an eine ruhigen Straßenecke grenzt. Das Essen war ok, von den Käsespätzle würde ich allerdings eher abraten. Die am Tisch bestellten anderen Speisen kamen aber gut an - insofern hab ich wohl einfach Pech gehabt.

Hervorragendes Essen in einer sehr entspannten und freundlichen Atmosphäre! Sehr höfliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Ein erneuter Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, um möglichst viele Gerichte zu probieren.

Despite the restaurant being packed and us not having a reservation, the excellent service meant we were able to get a table after about 15 minutes. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was very cozy. We'll definitely be back!

Large portions at a fair price. The goulash was tender, the sauce could have been seasoned a bit better, but that's a matter of taste. We were a little disappointed with the spaetzle; they had a nice texture but were rather bland. The schnitzels could have been pounded a bit thinner, but they were tender even as they were. The cream sauce was a little too thin, which was noticeable in the taste.

A well-thought-out menu. Very good quality and quantity. Quick preparation. The service could be improved, but it's difficult to find qualified staff. The prices are average for Freiburg. We would definitely eat there again.

Deserves more than five stars. We visited the Gasthaus Goldener Anker on December 8th. Unfortunately, our online reservation was too late. The restaurant was completely booked. But instead of turning us away, they readily offered us a table. We ordered two appetizer salads (lamb's lettuce with bacon), cordon bleu with fried potatoes (classic), and beef goulash with fried potatoes, which was recommended. Very generous portions and exceptionally delicious. A big thank you to the owner and his incredibly attentive staff. True to the motto "Traditionally Good Baden" in a cozy atmosphere. Excellent home-style cooking. The service was very attentive and they practically flew through the room to ensure everyone was served quickly. Bravo! The only downside was the drafty entrance door.

The food used to be really delicious. Now it doesn't taste good anymore. The service isn't very good either. I was there with my girlfriend. I got my food, but my girlfriend didn't. Then I finished eating, and she asked where her food was. She said she'd forgotten about it. About 10 minutes later, she finally got her food.

The schnitzel with potato salad was absolutely delicious, and the lamb's lettuce was also very tasty. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it. I will definitely go back.

The food is great. But it's just a restaurant. What makes it good is the staff inside. The staff is simply perfect. We didn't have a reservation, but even though we were a family with children, they arranged a very nice place for us, they helped us with everything. The food is very delicious. I definitely recommend it. It's a 5-minute walk to the center.

Everything was top-notch: top-notch service, friendly, fast, and uncomplicated. The food arrived quickly, the portions were generous! The schnitzel and side dish were truly delicious, which was already hinted at by the relatively limited number of dishes on the menu. We received very friendly service, and the convivial atmosphere complemented this.

We had lunch at the Gasthaus zum Goldenen Anker, and it was simply fantastic! The shoulder of pork with the fresh side salad was truly delicious—typically regional and perfectly prepared. The service was very warm and attentive, just as you'd expect. The house wine was also excellent and went perfectly with it. The ambiance is cozy, authentic, and inviting. Tip: Be sure to make a reservation in advance—it's worth it! We'd definitely love to come back. PS: Because it was so great, we forgot to take photos.

Great food , pretty sure you won’t leave here hungry .The place was humming on a Monday night , passed my decibel test for a lively place where people were in conversation.I don’t read German so I was getting busy with google translate when the owner came over and explained his menu in perfect English… far better . Beer was excellent, schnitzel huge , apple strudel tasted perfectly homemade.

We had a wonderful meal here during our stay in Freiburg. The gulasch, the schnitzel, everything tasted great. The portions are big so the amount of money we paid was absolutely correct! There were three of us invited to a birthday dinner. The steak I ate was delicious and cooked to perfection. The quality was extremely good. A friend ate schnitzel there and was also extremely impressed. If I ever vacation in Freiburg again, a visit to this restaurant is a must. A big compliment to the waitress; she was incredibly nice and friendly. It makes you feel at home and you'll be happy to come back. Highly recommended.

We got a table outside for four people at short notice without a reservation. Friendly staff. Then the food arrived. Super delicious, hot, and huge portions. The small schnitzel was a generous portion. The large schnitzel was so large that my husband, who is a very big eater, couldn't finish it! The meat was very tender. The spaetzle was delicious. We would come back again and again. Highly recommended!

Considering the advertised large portions, we were very disappointed. The veal schnitzel wasn't filling. It was also tough. The sauce wasn't tasty. And the sauce I ordered on top arrived 10 minutes after my schnitzel, despite asking. The ambiance is nice and the service was friendly, but we won't be coming back.

The food was pretty good, especially the potatoes. The food was slow but not bad.

We were there on the evening of June 21, 2025. The food was truly excellent and delicious. The portions were also absolutely sufficient for everyone. The service, however, was the complete opposite. When we were shown to our table, it literally took 10 minutes for someone to hand us the menus. Everything usually takes a long time. When we ordered another Coke, we were told that someone else would take the order...but it took another 5 minutes for someone else to arrive. We wondered if it was really that difficult for a server to simply write down the Coke for our table and serve us directly. This really took away the charm of this restaurant for us. As a result, we are no longer willing to eat there again. Accordingly, we hardly left any tips.

What the food lacked in salt was reflected in the prices. €4.50 for a large water, €4.50 for a 0.33l non-alcoholic beer. In return, we sat in the idyllic garage entrance. The absolute cheek, however, was that they made us wait over 20 minutes for the bill. Some of us who had already paid then stood around on the sidewalk until the waiter came over. Since I wanted to go and get him in between, it unfortunately became clear why: a private conversation was apparently taking priority.

Beautiful location, just outside the old town on the other side of the Dreisam river. We had a reservation and sat outside on the terrace. Super fast service and very friendly, attentive, and simply nice staff. The dishes were excellent: three cordon bleu and one cheese spaetzle, and the steak was simply amazing. The Goldener Anker was an absolute must for us in Freiburg.

Absolutely recommendable! Five of us went there, and we were all thrilled. The quality of the food, the taste, the quantity, and, last but not least, the super friendly service are something I've rarely experienced! A little off the beaten track, which is a good thing. Exceptionally delicious Baden food, large portions at reasonable prices. Friendly service. Set in a garden under chestnut trees, it couldn't be better.
