Ein echtes Wirtshaus mit traumhaftem Biergarten. Hier ist alles stimmig. Das Ambiente, der Service, das Essen, die Getränke. Es stimmt einfach alles. So geht gute bodenständige Gastronomie ohne Schnickschnack. Ich komme immer wieder und wurde nie enttäuscht, egal ob alleine, mit Familie oder mit Geschäftsfreunden. Im Goldenen Sternen fühlen sich alle wohl.

We had lunch here during our visit to Freiburg. Place frequented by families/locals. Excellent service thanks to the staff who speak English. Traditional food (spatzle, schnitzle...) in truly abundant quantities; excellent beer. Adequate prices. Just outside the centre, but reachable in 10 minutes on foot. A good lunch in a beautiful place.

Very nice service. Priced in the normal range. Large salad plate was a bit disappointing regarding the sauce. Potatoes with Brägele very large portion. Beer garden allows reservations in the outdoor area. Atypical for Freiburg, which is why the most beautiful tables were blocked.

It's getting worse and worse here! Don't know what currywurst should taste like. Flat tomato sauce with a little curry powder on top is not a good idea. And there won't be one without a grill. Yet again. Side dish: cold, dry fries for almost 15 euros! There doesn't seem to be much home-made here. The service is very nice and attentive.

We zijn op doorreis naar Italië en hebben een overnachting geboekt in Freiburg . Het hampton Hilton . Om ff iets eenvoudigs te eten hier terecht gekomen . Super bediening lekker buiten of binnen eten en nog een zeer verdienstelijke snitzel.

I only went here for a couple of beers one afternoon. It was very quiet with one 4 customers there at the time. The staff were very friendly and attentive and they had a decent selection of traditional and craft beers available.

Very tasty food at moderate prices. We were very satisfied. Tarte flambée with chanterelles, roast pork with cheese spaetzle, vegan curry vegetables and rump steak with chanterelles and fried potatoes 👍🏻

The biergarten on a sunny summer afternoon was perfect - shady, cool, relaxing. Friendly staff.

Simple cuisine, good and very plentiful

When we came in, the waitress immediately pointed out a food sign that was right next to the entrance and that we should definitely take a look at it. We couldn't even put down our dripping umbrellas. When we asked where we could sit, we had reserved, all we got was "oh somewhere back there". The shuffling continued happily. After we sat down, the waitress came with the cards and immediately asked us if we already knew what we wanted. Umm no, we need the cards first?! She then briefly went to the table next door and came back two minutes later. A few of us then ordered something to drink, but most of us said that we weren't ready yet. Then no one came for ages, at some point we were able to order and drinks came quite quickly. The food came all at once, the starters together with the desserts. There was barely enough space on the table. The salads were carelessly slapped onto the plate from cans and the ready-made sauces were probably from the subway. Some of the main courses were cold and didn't look very lovingly prepared either. We then treated ourselves to dessert and ate it somewhere else. Nothing special in terms of ambience, very loud other guests (the restaurant can't do much about that, but when other guests pointed out whether they could say something nice, they just shrugged their shoulders, no one was interested), toilets, well . Prices have risen immeasurably. It's a shame, you used to be able to get "good German home cooking" here at decent prices (no, not dumping prices!), we were probably there for the last time.

We spontaneously got a comfortable place in the beer garden for 11 people who were with us on a guided eMountain bike tour on the occasion of a JGA. Drinks and food also came quickly and were very tasty! Very helpful staff! Hopefully again soon.

I didn't really like the schnitzel that much. Since I've eaten very well in the past, I would still come back.

The meal went like this, the spaetzle didn't taste like anything and the gravy was just gravy, the salad was missing some dressing.

Me and my wife were here for the first time. We come from Neuenburg am Rhein and found the inn by chance. We were very satisfied, and that Ambience is really quaint... We will come back in any case.

People still really cook here. If you're looking for a place where you can enjoy all of Baden's classics, homemade and at a good level, you've come to the right place. The food always came out of the kitchen very quickly, warm and fresh. In addition to the food, the focus here is clearly on the variety of beers. The associated beer garden is a great place to spend the summer. The service is good, you are not left alone and if something takes longer, this is communicated directly. A great restaurant if you want to eat like grandma's used to but better ;)

Delicious Baden food freshly prepared.

We stopped at this really great inn while we were passing through. We had previously called and reserved a table. The contact was super friendly and so warm that we were really looking forward to coming. When we arrived we were also helped with our parking problem. I had a turkey steak and my husband had the Viennese style schnitzel. The food was very tasty 😋. Good bourgeois as it should be. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Our dog was welcomed just as warmly as we were and she was immediately given a bowl of water. All in all we felt comfortable in the nice atmosphere. What we also thought was great was that we got a table at the edge, which was simply very forward-looking for a visit with a dog. Thank you for the delicious food and this warmth. We will definitely come back again if your inn is on our route.

Was there for dinner with friends last night before the game. Reservations were made from 6 p.m. We were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. The staff very friendly. The menu is very rich dishes. The portions are generous and the appearance is well presented. The men's toilet is original. My conclusion is to enjoy❤. Ps. Insider tip in Freiburg. I like rustic Germany and its cuisine and the Golden Star has it all. I would go back immediately and recommend it to anyone who loves rustic cuisine!

Dumplings were amazing! Slightly too small a portion for me personally :) Kässpätzle, filling portion as always, but no crispy onions like before. Pity. 😋 Organic passion fruit tea was very tasty.

I always enjoy coming here. Food is good but not as great as it used to be. Please pat the schnitzels again so that they are nice and thin. Brägele and sauce super tasty and friendly service. Another tip: even if the food is prepared, don't serve it so quickly. 7 minutes after ordering doesn't make a good impression in my opinion

So ein Alptraum. Schnitzel dicker als sonst was. Zu viert da gewesen, gut Umsatz gemacht. Auf die Frage um 22:03 Uhr nach einem Nachtisch kam die Antwort: tut mir leid, Küche schließt um 22 Uhr...

Traditionelles Wirtshaus, gemütlich, rustikal. War bisher immer zufrieden, alles einwandfrei, vom Essen bis zum Service. Wer noch "echte" Wirtshäuser mag, der ist hier richtig. Ich komme gerne wieder!

Wir hatten eine kleine Familien "Feier" und es wurde extra für uns geöffnet. Sowohl das Essen als auch der Service ließ nichts zu Wünschen übrig. Geniales Essen, ordentliche Portionen, geschmacklich absolut super und das gepaart mit tollem und nettem Service findet man leider nur noch selten. Außer eben genau hier. Wir waren begeistert und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Das Salatdressing ist der Hammer! Auch die Spätzle und Bratensoße zum Cordon bleu sind zu empfehlen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich - auch bei vollem Haus. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt!

Eine unerwartet angenehme Atmosphäre, gedämpfte klassische Musik, die überhaupt nicht aufdringlich war. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und das Lokal ist auch auf Kinder eingestellt. Das Essen kam schnell und hat gut geschmeckt. Preis-Leistung gut bis sehr gut, Fleischgerichte kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Absolut gutes Essen. Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Vorher reservieren, sonst gibt es vielleicht keinen Platz mehr.

Nettes Restaurant im super Ambiente das Essen was Klasse. Mit viel Liebe zu Details Eingerichtet und den Charm erhalten. Schön auch der überdachte Außenbereich, geschlossen aber trotzdem draußen und beheizt.

Habe dort schon besser gegessen. Schnitzel war leider Form Fleisch und nicht gut. Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam.

Parkplätze sind rar. Essen nicht gut gewürzt und für diese Qualität zu teuer. Trotzdem sehr gut besucht, es muss reserviert werden sonst eventuell kein Tisch frei. Sehr lautes Umfeld.

Das wirklich urige Lokal ist absolut empfehlenswert, es gibt hier typische badische Speisen die wirklich gut gemacht sind. Man merkt, dass hier viel selbst hergestellt wird. Die Karte ist zwar nicht so umfangreich, dafür ist der Geschmack aber große klasse. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Wir gehen seit 20 Jahren ins Gasthaus Sternen. Die Bedienung war schnell und freundlich, wie immer sehr gut. Danke dafür! Das Essen war immer noch bodenständig und meines Erachtens frisch, die Portionen so wie sie sein sollen durchaus gewohnt großzügig. Aufgefallen ist dennoch, dass die Qualität ein klein wenig abgenommen hat, aber das kann täuschen. Immer noch sehr solide aber nicht mehr richtig super. Was uns tatsächlich schockiert hat sind die Preise. Auf der Karte findet man die frühere "normale" Portion. "Wirtshaus" schlägt mit 4.50,- mehr zu Buche. Was einen Schlucken lässt beim Schnitzel für 17,90 ohne Salat. Bier gibt es für über 5 Euro und, wenn man sich dann trotz des sehr schönen Ambientes/Biergartens zweimal überlegt ob man sitzen bleibt oder ein zweites Glas bestellt, dann ist es zu viel. Nun mögen einige sagen, dass man ja nicht gezwungen wird hinzugehen. Korrekt, das werden wir nun tatsächlich (leider) nicht mehr tun. Für uns ist die Schmerzgrenze erreicht.

Super freundliches Personal. Hier fühlt man sich wohl! Gute Küche. Der Biergarten unter den Laubbäumen lädt zum Verweilen ein!

Leider kann ich nur 4 Sterne 🌟 geben. Service super ...Essen super....Ambiente super 👍 17,90 € für Schnitzel mit gekauften Kroketten und ( super) Bratensosse ist mir zu teuer. Beilagensalat wären 4,80€ gewesen.

Sehr Leckeres Essen Sehr nettes Personal

Sehr nettes Ambiente “unter Einheimischen”im gemütlichen Biergarten/Wirtshaus. Die Käsespätzle sind cremig und sehr lecker, auch die Fleischgerichte kamen gut an. Der Service ist wirklich schnell, für meinen Geschmack schon fast zu schnell. Komme gern in Ruhe an, aber das ist persönliche Vorliebe. Alles im allen authentisch, gute Qualität und nette Atmosphäre.

Gemütliches orginelles Restaurant mit schönem Biergarten. Der Service war humorvoll und aufmerksam. Auch als Garten und Restaurant voll besetzt waren wurden wir professionell bedient. Das Essen war gut bürgerlich und die Portionen überreichlich. Ein schöner Platz für einen gemütlichen Ausgang.

Ich bin einfach nur begeistert. Das Personal ist super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen einfach lecker und reichlich. Das Ambiente genau so wie ich mir es vorstelle bei schönen Wetter raus zu sitzen einfach herrlich. Auch drinnen ist alles einfach nur klasse. Mittlerweile kommen wir schon regelmäßig zum Sternen weil die Eltern in die Nähe gezogen sind. Macht weiter so ihr seit super.

Super leckeres Essen mit mehr als großzügigen Portionen in einer sehr gemütlichen Location. Im Sommer stelle ich es mir draußen auch sehr schön vor. Das Service-Personal war aufmerksam und nett, ich komme gerne wieder. Ein paar mehr vegetarische Gerichte im Stil der deutschen Küche wäre alles was es für die 5 Sterne noch bräuchte.

Telefonisch reserviert -sehr freundlich Angekommen, ein ruhiger Tisch im Nebenraum -super! Registriert mit Luka App -einfach Essen & Getränke -super! Meerrettichschnitzel mit Brägele/ Knödel & Weißweinsosse -lecker Fazit: Nicht das erste & letzte mal.

Super laden mit klasse Speisen, Ambiente und Personal! Immer wieder gemütlich, ob draußen im Biergarten oder drinnen in der Gaststube.
