We ate here on the way to our destination. We loved it and I loved the Kartoffelsalat (...and would really like to receive the recipe🙏) Went here again on the way home but unfortunately it was closed.
Friendly people.
After many years we were guests here again and it was worth it. The food is solid home cooking, but not overpriced, although not cheap. The goose was great, as was the starter. You could get as many side dishes as you wanted, even if you were really full after the goose, the dumpling and the portion of red cabbage after eating a starter.
The wines were a dream, the Malbec (Kaiken) an absolute poem.
The waiter and waitress were really very accommodating, we had a nice chat, told one or two anecdotes and received excellent service.
The location is also very nice in the forest, not entirely public transport friendly, but you can't have everything.
We would love to come back.
Great brewery with very tasty food and good Kölsch! The minced steak was really great, I can only recommend it.
There are also quite a few dishes for vegetarians and vegans 👍🏻
Update season 2024: much, much better! In all areas!
It's disgusting how you are treated here. First you stand in line for over 30 minutes and order your drinks and food. You then get drinks with you and can wait in line for another 30 minutes to get food. After waiting, all you hear is "we don't have any more". No effort to replace! Two snack plates turned into two city sausages drowned in cheap vinegar and a salad floating in yogurt dressing. Both inedible. And because there was no more bread (!) we were each given 1 cheap baked roll from the supermarket. No apology, no attempt to make amends, nothing...
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right at all. €9.90 for a thin slice of apple strudel with three plums and a drizzle of whipped cream is absolutely excessive. We indulged in this since they don't serve cake. We can't comment on the main courses, but the other desserts and the salad were also very modest in quantity, and the price was very reasonable. Thanks to the friendly service and the ambiance, it still gets stars...
Kiez nights on Friday -
no dress code information!
Exzra arrival and hotel, dressed sexy (we could have gotten in anywhere in the original neighborhood without any problems)
just a complete disappointment!
