The Reissdorf Kölsch brewery bar is my favorite destination when I'm in Cologne with guests. The beer garden is always full. Classic dishes of matjes, half rooster and schnitzel are all included.

I have lived in Cologne-Sülz since 2004 and have been to Unkelbach countless times. I always thought it was great there, delicious food, friendly staff and a diverse crowd. But unfortunately the rabbit is gone, that's his real name. Was practically Alex's right hand man Manek. Now his successor is an attractive but arrogant and unfriendly long-time waiter. His manner always makes me uncomfortable...the other employees are very nice. The food has been very tasty so far, but this time I had the feeling that the chicken breast in my salad was fried in a pan that had previously been used to fry fish...I practically had fish-flavored chicken breast. I told the waiter this...He wanted to pass it on to the kitchen...I didn't get any response. The beer garden has become more and more beautiful in recent years, but the interior is no longer nice for my taste...no more pictures on the walls...just bare walls in the back area. I would rather go somewhere else in the future

Cozy restaurant with fine service and good food.

Very good restaurant that I can recommend without hesitation. The service was very good. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the prices were normal.

Our visit lasted exactly 1:20 minutes - then a deeply unfriendly waiter showed up - we left immediately. Not for families with children. Thanks. No.

We were there at 32 degrees with two small children. We briefly moved a table outside to accommodate a children's chair. Incredibly unfriendly and stroppy comment (“does the table stay here like that?!” “didn’t really think much of it”). Untypical for Cologne and just downright unpleasant. NOT recommended for families with children!!!

Been there for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, delicious food. Only the timing was a bit bad, it was rush hour and so the waiting time for the food was a little longer. But with the best weather and a secure supply of drinks, it was bearable.

Rustic inn with a bowling alley and delicious, hearty food. Portions perfect (maybe a little too small for very hungry people). Fresh fries, mayo and ketchup are free. Most of the service staff are very nice and attentive, exceptions prove the rule (hence only 4 stars). But would still come back.

Good food and cold Kölsch. You can eat great outside, but inside it's very dark and not comfortable. Staff could be a bit friendlier

Unkelbach is as much a part of Cologne as the cathedral. Old brewery with German cuisine. The food is OK. Not overwhelming, but tasty. The brewery is known for its legendary carnival parties.

Die Haxe war Hammer, das Bier kam zügig und die Bedienung freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Jeder der die kölsche Art mag ist hier genau richtig . Leckeres Bier , gutes Essen, nette Leute und eine mega klasse Bedienung . Trotz heftigem Regen sind wir im Biergarten geblieben und hatte sehr viel Spaß 👍👍👍

Immer wieder wunderbar. Freundlicher Service - leckeres Essen. Besonderer Dank an die sympathische Dame, die sich um die WCs kümmert und für Kinder einen Korb voller Süßigkeiten bereit hält!

Impolite staff, they tried to have us sit at a terrible table although there were dozens of better ones. And the way the waiter talked to us was so cringe and arrogant. If you call that area of your place a "biergarten", you can't simply prevent people from sitting at the tables that seem to be available. When I said that I would not like to sit at the shown table, he arrogantly asked "why". Well, you are not supposed to question our preferences... What a terrible service...My answer was "because it is a "saturday meal" and deserves a bit more respect". Educate your young personnel before losing further "stammkunden" ! My friends and I (we are locals in Sülz) will never come back again.

Delicious food, friendly service, an institution. Very tasty salad - and of course everything for meat lovers.

Oh well. After many years we were once again in Unkelbach. Service still good and friendly. We had bacon pancakes three times and currywurst once. The bacon pancakes all looked different and were clearly below average. We've had much better elsewhere. The currywurst tasted so-so and was way too expensive at over 14 euros. The Kölsch price of €2.40 is absolutely inappropriate for the location. So we weren't surprised that the restaurant was only lightly attended on Saturday evening. Things used to be completely different. In any case, we won't be coming back any time soon.

The food and kölsch were delicious. Unfortunately, my companion was mostly ignored at the kölsch, hence the 2nd one.

The breaded beer coach cutlet is a poem: the meat was super tender and juicy. The taste is fantastic. The side dishes are excellent. The price-performance ratio is right here! Plus ice-cold, delicious Reissdorf. Definitely recommended.

Pretty inn in the middle of the row of houses on a 4-lane main road. Beautiful beer garden in the courtyard and a rustic atmosphere in the restaurant, a diverse selection of food, mostly Rhenish specialties, but also vegetarian options. Service was attentive and friendly, Kölsch always arrived quickly, the meal took 45 minutes, but it was also full and it was a sunny Sunday.

Largely tourist-free, typical brewery. Nobody has to die of thirst, the Köbes is nice and fast. Food as you would expect in a brewery. Despite the beer garden being full, service also works indoors. Reissdorf on tap is delicious. Gladly again soon.

We went there on a Tuesday evening. An almost eerily rustic brewery. Optically it suits my taste perfectly. I had basically sworn off Reissdorf Kölsch since my studies, but I made an exception for the freshly tapped one. I ended up liking it more than I originally thought. Let's get to food. Very tasty and generous portions. Actually had to struggle with the portion even though I'm a seasoned eater. The schnitzel had a good breading and the meat was also good. Was perfect brewery fare. There was a bit of a lack of salt & pepper, but the man is himself. I have made no secret of this and everyone can add seasonings as they wish. What surprised me very positively was the diverse menu. My companion eats a vegetarian diet, so the brewery-style menu was even adapted to include meatless, classic alternatives. We really liked it. I even managed to convince my partner to come and visit me. Not the last time.

Completely overrated and too expensive when you offer 80% prefabricated goods from Remagen.

Very nice beer garden, we were very happy with the food. Particularly noteworthy is the top service 👍 a young team of service staff, all very attentive and extremely committed. Nobody stood there looking stupid, everyone was always in action and super friendly. You can only feel good there.

Drinnen urig und gemütlich und draußen: Sehr schöner und gemütlicher Biergarten, den man bei gutem Wetter genießen kann. In Kombination mit der sehr breiten Karte auf der Jeder was finden sollte…. Absolute Empfehlung!

Schöner Biergarten, wir haben sehr gut gegessen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der top Service. Sehr engagierte junge Leute, haben alles im Blick, sind freundlich und sehr auf Zack. Eine Freude, zu sehen, dass Service so gut gehen kann.

If you want something fresh on your plate, you shouldn't eat here. There is a lot of work with TK products. And then prices like that too. Disgrace!!!

Large outdoor area, nice atmosphere and food that is completely OK. Unfortunately, the service usually leaves a lot to be desired. If I stand at the "please wait here" sign for 2.3 minutes without any of the service staff walking around greeting me or at least looking at me, I simply don't feel welcome. Instead of a nice greeting, I received a “Please wait here!” I snapped when I took two steps towards the many free tables... despite the "understaffing" it was enough for that. A pity. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions, but the rule, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this. I would really like to come here regularly, but it's just not fun. If I as a guest have the feeling that I am a burden (including the last lap 30 minutes before closing time), then I can go somewhere else and spend my money there.

Generally a great place to stay. It's just a brewery. The beer garden is the best thing here. Events are great and worth a visit even in winter, as there is a small “Christmas market” outside. It's quaint inside, and when the house is full you can easily be overlooked, but that's still within limits.

Quite ok for a few Kölsch. Food is a matter of taste. There are better breweries there.

Absolutely not recommended for eating asparagus. The asparagus was still very firm to the bite, sometimes even bitter. The potatoes tasted and looked like they had been reheated in the microwave. Unfortunately, an absolute disappointment at the start of the asparagus season.

The guests tend to be young and young at heart who appreciate this Cologne atmosphere. This also attracts guests from all over Cologne and the surrounding area. If you don't want to drive to the breweries in the city center, Haus Unkelbach has a great offer.

The vegan asparagus dishes were incredibly delicious. Very cozy beer garden.

Traditional, actually nice gastronomy. But absolutely completely overpriced. Bowling alley chairs are worn out and dirty but the prices are absolutely in the upper range. Uncomprehending and uncompromising service completes this arrogant manner.

We wanted to have delicious asparagus for lunch and accordingly ordered boiled potatoes with asparagus and hollandaise sauce, with a veal schnitzel. The food took a while and was only moderately warm. The asparagus probably never saw the asparagus pot, at least it was still very firm to the bite, and not just for us. The potatoes looked very strange, yellow/dark yellow spots, small and peeled very smoothly. The assumption here is that these are ready-made potatoes, like the ones you get in a jar in the supermarket. All in all it was a disappointment for us.

I only knew Unkelbach from carnival. We recently ended up here late on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy, the conditions were brisk and friendly, and the food was better than I expected. Points are deducted for the pricing, but unfortunately that is now the case in many places. Four stars.

Super delicious food. Best knuckle in Cologne. Reissdorf has Kölsch on tap. Very good overall.

Really not recommended for eating. The cheese spaetzle were not homemade, were very salty and tasted like bouillon powder and a finished product. For the price of 15 euros it's actually a disgrace. The currywurst was not freshly grilled and tasted warmed up. Maybe a cook is currently missing. A pity.

From my point of view, it's a dark old shed, but a lot of people seem to like being so close together and waiting a long time for service.

Comfortable and cozy, ideal for ending the evening. Very good food and good Kölsch. If you want to spend a relaxing evening with friends, you should stop by here.

Typical Cologne restaurant with atmosphere and plenty of good food and Kölsch. It's also a good place to celebrate carnival outside the city center.

Montagabend, dementsprechend leiser als sonst. Service wie immer schnell und sehr freundlich.

Uriges Brauhaus; guter Service; Speisekarte von deftig über vegetarisch und vegan, auch Kleinigkeiten sind dabei. Wir es rustikal und lebhaft mag und trotzdem gut essen möchte ist hier richtig!

One of the most beautiful and traditional pubs in Cologne! Alex and his team do a wonderful job. The food and service are top and if you need a bit of variety, you should stop by for the pub quiz or the carnival parties.

Probably the best pickles in town! Served by Springer Santi with a smile wider than Snoop Doggi Dogg at his best. Unbidden, the first pickle found its way into my mouth through his hand and what followed can only legitimately be described as the purest synaptic firework of good taste! Undoubtedly, this Plato bears the signature of the outstanding culinary skills of the kitchen team at this eerily quaint establishment. Anyone who assumes that the multifaceted nature ends here is seriously mistaken! I have never seen such a golden, glowing liquid from the art of Cologne brewing, which was covered by a velvety, silky head of foam, so pleasantly soft on the lips that even washing Egyptian kings in lukewarm goat's milk with honey must have felt like a bath in comparison Nitric acid. I owe this massage of my senses to a bar team made up of the dynamic Davide and the extremely charismatic Carlotta, who truly gave me five stars from heaven! God bless the Unkelbach house!

Never again carnival in Unkelbach! It shocks me how a restaurant business can develop so badly in such a short space of time. 20€ entry for a bunch of teenagers who were drunk before the start and who probably didn't make it to Zülpi. The older generation in the other room wants to have a loud conversation. Music too quiet, no mood. Patted down as a woman by male security guards. All the security guards there were totally unfriendly. The location in Sülz no longer deserves it. After a short time we moved on to the Kölsch culture. Best decision of the evening!!!!

Haus Unkelbach is a cozy restaurant, the service staff is very friendly and attentive. The schnitzels are very large. The price-performance ratio is right.

The food was good. There wasn't everything that was on the menu. Had to reorder 3 times because these dishes were no longer available. The same with the drinks. A few varieties were no longer available. We can now ignore the long waiting time for the food or the poor service. It was okay there but not somewhere I should definitely go again.
