I think that the Unkelbach is shooting itself offside. 111 Demanding Ero is criminal even if you can drink anything. If there was a VIP card, I would pay the money. It does not work. Everyone has to queue. Not with me

We were in the beautiful Cologne-Sülz district. We wanted to eat something and ended up at Haus Unkelbach. A brewery like there are many in Cologne. Staff friendly. Food as you would expect in a brewery. There is delicious Kölsch. You should also make a reservation there. Otherwise you only have a small time slot. But they make it possible.

Ein typisches Kölner Brauhaus, Leckeres und ausreichendes Essen. Käsespätzle, Grünkohl mit Kürbis und Backfisch mit Fritten können wir empfehlen. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Vielen Dank

There were 10 of us in Haus Unkelbach, it was very full. The food was on the table after 30 minutes. The service was great, very nice and courteous employees.

Anyone who charges 111 euros for entry to a carnival event (regardless of whether drinks are included) has long since finished carnival. I hope people don't support such usury.

Absolute favorite brewery in Cologne! I love the beer garden in summer and the small Christmas market in winter. Staff always friendly and on their toes, even when the store is full. The food is simply heavenly, great vegan and vegetarian selection, also on the seasonal menu. Recommendation: the vegan kohlrabi schnitzel in a crispy coating! Plus a portion of fries, it couldn't be better 😍 And the potato pancakes are the best I've ever eaten.

The food was great, but the shop was unfortunately often overcrowded in the summer. Otherwise great.

We have been here several times with the family for Christmas dinner. It's just one Brauhaus, you have to be aware of this: we like it. Small menu, currently with a few additional game and goose dishes. All very tasty. There’s also something for vegans. Thanks for the nice service

We were outside where special tables were set up outside before Christmas. Positive things to mention include friendly staff at the bar, electric heating under the tables and the cozy seating area in the house. Negative...too overpriced Kölsch and too dry Currywurst....

Schönes Brauhausambiente. Super aufmerksamer Service!! Essen war auch sehr lecker. Sehr gut war die Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen. Ansonsten sehr Schnitzellastig. Gans und Wild ist toll zur Weihnachtszeit, aber ein Steak o.ä. haben wir vermisst. Was sehr schade ist, dass kein einziges Dessert angeboten wurde. Aber rundherum war es ein gelunger Abend und wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder.

Very nice brewery atmosphere. The goose meal was great. The table was beautifully set for each table where the goose meal was pre-ordered. I'd love to come back here.

Wir waren im Haus Unkelbach mit 7 Personen und haben dort den geselligen Teil der Weihnachtsfeier abgehalten. Das Lokal war ca zu 75 % Prozent gefüllt. Der Service war schnell und freundlich und das Essen sehr lecker. Preis Leistung stimmte auch. Ein besonderes Highlight war der eigne Weihnachtsmarkt im Hof der Gaststätte. Die Toilette waren sauber und die Reinigungskraft war sehr freundlich. Alles in allem kann ich diese Lokalität sehr empfehlen.

We have been to Cologne 3 times and tried traditional German food across the city but we find this place has the best Pork knuckle and the service is top! We will definitely come back again

Ich kann dieses Brauhaus sehr empfehlen. Sie werden von den Damen und Herren des Service durchweg sehr gut umsorgt, und es herrscht eine sehr angenehme familiäre Atmosphäre. Die Menüs sind schlichtweg hervorragend. Ohne zu übertreiben habe ich hier die besten Schnitzel und auch. die besten Pommes meines Lebens gegessen. Ich werde sehr gerne wieder hierhinkommen. Were here on November 11th. We paid €43 (including advance purchase fees) for entry and had to pay an additional €3 for the cloakroom. In my opinion that was an absolute disgrace. There were no carnival bands (which is to be expected for this price of admission) and you also had to pay overpriced prices for the currywurst with rolls and the Kölsch. Unfortunately, they also tried to sell a 9 Kölsch ring as a wreath (11 Kölsch) at the front (large counter in the entrance area) and at the very back of the counter. Upon request, a Kölsch was added to the front, which then had to be supplemented with another (11!) upon request. Overall it was very disappointing and there was no mood...

Drank delicious Kölsch. Delicious meatball eaten and a nice Köbes. What more could you want?

Quaint brewery with great food. Was there very often and always had a great time. My highlight is the rump steak. But schnitzel and cordon bleu are also a hit. Be sure to go to the beer garden in summer!!!

Food is very tasty! From salad to schnitzel, there is something for everyone :) If you want to try German cuisine, this is definitely the right place for you.

From my point of view, the price and performance are unfortunately no longer right here, everything is mediocre and I don't pay 2.40 for a Kölsch.

We were there as a carnival club (Fidelio Elsdorf) and were greeted very friendly and served very quickly. The food, atmosphere and service simply deserve 5 stars - we would love to come back!

Conveniently, the tram stops right in front of the door - traveling by public transport is recommended if you want to drink a Kölsch or eleven and you don't have to find a parking space. Long established, good quality food and friendly service. Fits.

Great Cologne brewery. Rustic atmosphere and very friendly staff. You just feel comfortable and welcome. There is delicious Kölsch and good food. A great place for a social time.

Typical Cologne brewery. Simply nice for a nice evening in a small or large group. Classic Cologne and Rhenish specialties, simply delicious and traditional cuisine. In my opinion not suitable for vegetarians and/or vegans. Great service, the ladies and gentlemen in service are on their toes and always friendly. A successful stay with the thought “I would like to come back”.

We met up with the family and had a lovely time in the Unkelbach house. Nice old inn.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Essen war sehr lecker und qualitativ hochwertig. Das Ambiente ist sehr gemütlich und es ist sauber.

We ordered a Viennese veal schnitzel and were very disappointed. For one thing, it was very small, dry, and the breading was soggy. Without my daughter's remaining fries, I wouldn't have been full. It was absolutely not worth the price. The service, however, was very friendly and helpful. My husband's veal currywurst was much better. So it's better not to order expensive food.

Haus mit netter Atmosphäre, aber mit bestelltem Tisch nicht vorbereitet, obwohl wir 10 min später da waren. Ich würde nicht empfehlen, das Wiener Schnitzel zu nehmen. Es sind zwei kleine trockene Stückchen mit einer Panade, die nicht knusprig war. Von der Dimension wurden aus einem Schnitzel 3 gemacht. Die Beschreibung mit Sardellen und Kapern müsste zutreffenderweise heißen, mit Sardelle und Kaper … es war also Kartoffelsalat mit Schnitzelbeilage für 29 Euro. Lieber was einfaches, günstiges nehmen, dann ist es nicht so schlimm, wenn gefühlt TK zum Einsatz kommt.

Das Schnitzel sah aus und schmeckte wie TK Kost, der Salat wie Fertigmischung aus der Tüte. Normalerweise ist es da guter Durchschnitt aber am 20.9. war das Essen wirklich schlecht. Zumindest war das Reissdorf Kölsch lecker und der Service ganz gut.

I went to Haus Unkelbach for the first time on a Tuesday to eat Rievekooche. Since I'm limited with what I can eat, I asked if you could have rievekooche instead of the fried potatoes with the roast beef. And it wasn't an issue. How delicious was that 😋😋😋!!! Plus, it was a great summer evening and the service was so nice. I'll come back when I get the chance, definitely to eat Rievekooche and I would order the same combination again!!

Actually you have to judge two things, beer garden and restaurant: delicious food. At least good Cologne cuisine, nice service, great beer garden with atmosphere, secondly the bowling alley, I would only like to give it one point, a completely outdated bowling alley in which the chairs have not been replaced for 45 years. Unfortunately, I also have to report that it even smelled slightly of vomit. The air was so stuffy and the whole thing was so late 70s style, apparently nothing has been done since then that one of us with asthma even had problems breathing... Sorry, I'm sorry, I'd like to write something else. As I said above, everything is great, the beer garden etc. but the bowling alley, something urgently needs to be done here so as not to damage the reputation of Haus Unkelbach.

It was a very nice evening out in the yard. The staff was very nice even if it sometimes took a bit longer. The food was very tasty and gluten-free was no problem.

The Reissdorf Kölsch brewery bar is my favorite destination when I'm in Cologne with guests. The beer garden is always full. Classic dishes of matjes, half rooster and schnitzel are all included.

When we arrived we got a seat very quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for drinks. We were actually hungry, unfortunately no one brought us a menu or asked if we wanted to eat anything

I have lived in Cologne-Sülz since 2004 and have been to Unkelbach countless times. I always thought it was great there, delicious food, friendly staff and a diverse crowd. But unfortunately the rabbit is gone, that's his real name. Was practically Alex's right hand man Manek. Now his successor is an attractive but arrogant and unfriendly long-time waiter. His manner always makes me uncomfortable...the other employees are very nice. The food has been very tasty so far, but this time I had the feeling that the chicken breast in my salad was fried in a pan that had previously been used to fry fish...I practically had fish-flavored chicken breast. I told the waiter this...He wanted to pass it on to the kitchen...I didn't get any response. The beer garden has become more and more beautiful in recent years, but the interior is no longer nice for my taste...no more pictures on the walls...just bare walls in the back area. I would rather go somewhere else in the future

Very good restaurant that I can recommend without hesitation. The service was very good. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the prices were normal.

Tolles Etablissement. Wir waren draußen im Biergarten. Obwohl die Bedienungen viel zu tun hatten, waren sie sehr schnell und freundlich. Essen sehr lecker (ich hatte Himmel un Ääd).

Our visit lasted exactly 1:20 minutes - then a deeply unfriendly waiter showed up - we left immediately. Not for families with children. Thanks. No.

We were there at 32 degrees with two small children. We briefly moved a table outside to accommodate a children's chair. Incredibly unfriendly and stroppy comment (“does the table stay here like that?!” “didn’t really think much of it”). Untypical for Cologne and just downright unpleasant. NOT recommended for families with children!!!

Alles top, nette Kellner, leckeres Essen, schöne Location (draußen) und mit 35€/Person für Essen und Trinken gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Verhältnis.

Been there for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Very nice atmosphere, very friendly staff, delicious food. Only the timing was a bit bad, it was rush hour and so the waiting time for the food was a little longer. But with the best weather and a secure supply of drinks, it was bearable.

Erstmalig dort gewesen und angenehm überrascht. Sehr schöne Atmosphäre, sehr freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen. Lediglich der Zeitpunkt war etwas ungünstig, es war Stoßzeit und somit war die Wartezeit auf das Essen etwas länger. Aber bei bestem Wetter und gesichertem Getränkenachschub war das gut auszuhalten.

Guten Tag Wir haben am 2.8 einen Tisch für 5 Personen bestellt zum FC schauen mit Essen. Essen alles ok. Unser Service funktionierte überhaupt nicht mehrfach mussten wir nach vorne und dort bestellen auch machbar. Nach Abpfiff wollten wir heim, Während des Bezahlen im Eingangsbereich kam der mangelhafte Service zur Sprache meine Frau sagte das unserem Tischservice . plötzlich tauchte eine ,ca 1,6 m große schwarzehaarige Servicekraft max. 35 Jahre alt auf und mischte sich frech,aggressiv laut Schimpfend in unseren Bezahlvorgang und dem Service Gespräch ein Wir als Gäste wurden von dieser Dame frech gemaßregelt weshalb wir uns beschweren würden , sie hat behauptet nichts mitbekommen und sich ins höfliche Beschwerde Gespräch eingemischt, Diese Dame redete sehr laut und meinte mich Dutzen zu können, was ich mir aufgrund ihrer unhöflich Art mit der Frage „ seit wann wir uns dutzen würde „ beantwortet!! Das war Zuviel für die unhöfliche Dame Wir standen zu 5 Gästen mit den beiden Service Kräften im Gespräch Aus heiterem Himmel schrie die schwarzhaarige ,die mir mit ca 1 m Abstand gegenüber stand , fassen Sie mich nicht an !!!!! Das in einer Gesprächsrunde mit 7 Personen!! Daraufhin tauchte ein schwarzhaariger Mann mit lockigem Haar ca Mitte 20 auf der alles nur gehört haben konnte und drängte mich gewaltsam und drohend mit den Worten“ hier wird niemand betatscht „ ca 30 m über der Hof zur Straße. Meine Freunde erledigten die Rechnung. Ich selbst bin 70 Jahre habe den ganzen Abend nur Cola getrunken,meine Kinder zw,30 und 40. Ich habe diese freche Servicekraft zu keinem Zeitpunkt berührt. Die Unverschämtheit eine derartige Behauptung aufzustellen mit der Reaktion des Kellners mich aus dem Lokal zu begleiten ist eine Frechheit. Eine größere Familienfeier wird nun anderweitig organisiert.

Reservierung hat einwandfrei funktioniert. Location ist schön gestaltet, der Biergarten hat eine schöne Atmosphäre (ist aber etwas laut, da Innenhof), auch wenn die obligatorische Kastanie fehlt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, das Essen lecker und preislich angemessen.

Die armen Servicekräfte, die waren heute richtig im Stress. Alle nett, aber sehr in Eile. Der Biergarten war super voll und daher dauerte es etwas mit der Bestellung. Es war auch sehr, sehr laut. Das Essen ist lecker, die Portionen groß. Die Preise sind angemessen. Die Karte bietet neben den üblichen Brauhausgerichten viele vegetarische und auch vegane Speisen.an. Auch schön, dass diese um saisonale Angebote erweitert wird. Das ist wunderbar. Wir kommen öfter.

Unkelbach is as much a part of Cologne as the cathedral. Old brewery with German cuisine. The food is OK. Not overwhelming, but tasty. The brewery is known for its legendary carnival parties.

Die Haxe war Hammer, das Bier kam zügig und die Bedienung freundlich. Gerne wieder!

Haus Unkelbach war einfach Spitze, wir gehen gerne dort hin, weil einfach alles passt.

Jeder der die kölsche Art mag ist hier genau richtig . Leckeres Bier , gutes Essen, nette Leute und eine mega klasse Bedienung . Trotz heftigem Regen sind wir im Biergarten geblieben und hatte sehr viel Spaß 👍👍👍

Immer wieder wunderbar. Freundlicher Service - leckeres Essen. Besonderer Dank an die sympathische Dame, die sich um die WCs kümmert und für Kinder einen Korb voller Süßigkeiten bereit hält!

Impolite staff, they tried to have us sit at a terrible table although there were dozens of better ones. And the way the waiter talked to us was so cringe and arrogant. If you call that area of your place a "biergarten", you can't simply prevent people from sitting at the tables that seem to be available. When I said that I would not like to sit at the shown table, he arrogantly asked "why". Well, you are not supposed to question our preferences... What a terrible service...My answer was "because it is a "saturday meal" and deserves a bit more respect". Educate your young personnel before losing further "stammkunden" ! My friends and I (we are locals in Sülz) will never come back again.

Oh well. After many years we were once again in Unkelbach. Service still good and friendly. We had bacon pancakes three times and currywurst once. The bacon pancakes all looked different and were clearly below average. We've had much better elsewhere. The currywurst tasted so-so and was way too expensive at over 14 euros. The Kölsch price of €2.40 is absolutely inappropriate for the location. So we weren't surprised that the restaurant was only lightly attended on Saturday evening. Things used to be completely different. In any case, we won't be coming back any time soon.

The food and kölsch were delicious. Unfortunately, my companion was mostly ignored at the kölsch, hence the 2nd one.

The breaded beer coach cutlet is a poem: the meat was super tender and juicy. The taste is fantastic. The side dishes are excellent. The price-performance ratio is right here! Plus ice-cold, delicious Reissdorf. Definitely recommended.

Pretty inn in the middle of the row of houses on a 4-lane main road. Beautiful beer garden in the courtyard and a rustic atmosphere in the restaurant, a diverse selection of food, mostly Rhenish specialties, but also vegetarian options. Service was attentive and friendly, Kölsch always arrived quickly, the meal took 45 minutes, but it was also full and it was a sunny Sunday.
